Well...

I'm sure you've all seen the finale.

I think many of us can agree that most of it was pretty darn breathtaking and nerve-racking and epic.

But still, many zutarians have very STRONG and PASSIONATE feelings and opinions about it. About the last couple minutes in particular, if you know what I mean.

I'm making something clear, right here and now, to the disrespectful people who have been bashing us Zutarians like mad, saying "GET OVER IT" "BRYKE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS", or "YOU IDIOTS ARE LETTING SHIPPING RUIN A WHOLE GOOD STORY".
FYI--hard-core Zutarians are upset and have every reason to be upset because Zutara has led us to see the whole of Avatar in new light. We assumed that the story ran deeper than the obvious, but if Kataang happens, than apparently this show wasn't meant to be as deep and thoughtful and emotional and we expected--it was all just for the cute. If you can't understand this, whatever, leave us alone. I am immediately hiding any disrespectful comments, so don't waste your time.
Zutara was more than just some cute ship for us, thank you very much. It touched every aspect of Avatar. And it hurts when it all comes crashing down.
Zutarians are really losing repect for Kataangers as all they can do in this time is bash us. Can't you see we're upset?! LEAVE US ALONE! And if you take the time out of your life to pester mourning Zutarians any more, than you are a very cruel person with no empathy at all.

Alright, this has got to be the hardest thing that Zutarians have ever had to go through, and we've been through quite a bit of hardships.

Why Zutarians constantly have to go through such trauma...it's unbelievable.

After all of the A:TLA that I've been through...I'm sorry...but I'm not putting all of my faith and trust into a stupid book which makes no sense whatsoever.

Apparently the finale was supposed to be released in May, and then the book shortly after, but the episodes got postponed and Bryke was too cheap to save the books for release until after the finale aired. So they released them early.

If they are not willing to spend some extra money in order to keep the whole friggen show from being completely screwed, well, I just don't know what to say about them.

So apparently that interview was intended to be released AFTER the finale aired.

Apparently then, after Katara randomly walks up to Aang and kisses him in the actual episode on television.

But nick and Bryke messed up AGAIN.

Apparently it's been confirmed by some Zutarian who actually has the book in their hands that the interview and Kataang kiss IS published in the book, so it's not some stupid internet scam.

And Zutarians everywhere are weeping and wailing.

Why? Because there was so much potential for an amazing ending and a stellar romance.

Bryke may be epic mystery/suspense/action writers, but when it comes down to writing a good romance, they are fools.

And I've lost so much respect for them.

Now, there is a flip side to this. What about the Kataangers? Shouldn't they be ecstatic about their ship's glory? Like, if that interview had of said, Sorry Kataangers, but Zutara was our intention from the very beginning. And seriously, kids! Kataang would never have worked out anyway. Aang is too young and we specially developed Katara's character to be a motherly figure to Aang , wouldn't Zutarians be going CRAZY?! Well of course!

But this is the opinion of the Kataangers that I've talked to so far...

" Meh. Whatever. I knew it was going to happen anyway. It was just too obvious. Nothing new here, no surprise."

And why is it that they aren't exactly jumping for joy?

Because that's just it--Kataang and Maiko are old, boring, and dull.

Period.

Okay, people.

Let's all just take a nice, big, deep breath and CALM DOWN.

I'm going to say this VERY CLEARLY: The Sozin's Comet book DOES NOT REVEAL what is actually going to happen in the finale. It does NOT.

It is NOTHING more than a fanfic.

In case you didn't know (and have been living under a rock), this Sozin's Comet book is full of comics that are apparently about the finale of Avatar the Last Airbender.

They are NOT. I have NO CLUE who started that rumor.

I have the Avatar comic books that were released a while ago, covering the first couple of episodes, and they are a TRUE version of what happened at the beginning of the series.

And GUESS who they are written by?

I quote: "Written by Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko. Additional writing by Aaron Ehaz, Peter Goldfinger, and Josh Stolberg."

In other words, ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO GET PAID BY NICK TO PUT THE STORY LINE OF AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER TOGETHER.

And who, may I ask, is this Sozin's Comet book written by?

David Bergantino and Patrick Spaziante, whoever the heck they are.

Actually, I know exactly who they are.

They are a fanfic writer and an illustrator who have an idea about what might happen in the much-anticipated finale of Avatar, who wanted to fill up their piggy banks by leading Avatards everywhere to believe that this is what actually will happen in the finale.

IT'S NOT. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING A STUPID FANFIC.

Everyone who has read it is disapointed and says that the storyline is pathetic and not very logical.

We all know very well that Bryke is VERY weary of letting out spoilers. For goodness sakes, at the NYCC, when the simple question "Will Ursa turn up again?" was asked, they blushed and mumbled, "You will have to wait and see."

And you REALLY BELIEVE that these guys, who were so hesitant to tell us whether one little character would make another appearance, would just BLOW THE WHOLE FRIGGIN FINALE by publishing it in some COMIC BOOK??!

There is absolutely NO WAY.

And if these David Bergantino and Patrick Spaziante people ACTUALLY found out what happened in the finale (which is basically impossible), and published it into a book, they would be sued SO FAST they would hardly have time to breathe.

IF indeed Nick wanted to release a comic book concerning the finale of Avatar, than THIS is exactly what would have been written on the cover:

"Written by Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko. Additional writing by Aaron Ehaz"

Why? Because THEY ARE THE OFFICIAL WRITERS of Avatar the Last Airbender, not some random men whom we've never even heard of before.

Yes, yes, Nick has done some pretty stupid things in the past.

But there is just no way they would spoil the most anticipated four episodes of the whole series WITH A COMIC BOOK.

NO ONE is that dumb.

So if you read that book and you don't see your ship in it....

Big deal. I guess David Bergantino and Patrick Spaziante don't support that ship.

ANYONE could do what they've done. ANYONE could send their fanfic and pretty pictures off to a publisher.

This stupid Sozin's Comet book is NOT ANYTHING like what will happen in the final four episodes of Avatar.

It's merely what David Bergantino and Patrick Spaziante THINK will happen or WANT to see happen.

And if you still aren't convinced, it says in the book description: "In this adaptation of the four-part Season Three finale..." ADAPTATION. Do you KNOW what this word means?

EDIT: Ignore the links below for the time being--AvatarSpirit just recently uploaded the screenshots for the OFFICIAL trailer from Nick, so they all got switched around. I'll fix 'em up ASAP. ^^

Okay, this trailer has sparked one of the biggest uproars in the history of the Avatard community. Yeah, there is some pretty cool bending in there. Yeah, we see Azula MAD for the first time. Yeah, Suki is back.

But what has caused the BIGGEST UPROAR of them all?!

Zutara.

Now we have to clear up some of the mess left over from the major spazzage of Zutarians everywhere.

First of all, this trailor DOES NOT give us the right to go around screaming, "OMG OMG ZUTARA IZ CANON!!"

At least, not yet.

Patience.

Believe it or not, there are people everywhere still DOUBTING that Zutara even has a chance! Now don't get discouraged.

Let's break it down a little.

See, see! Aang kissed her. He kissed her AGAIN! Take that Zutarians! Kiss number 2!!
But she backed off.
SO?! She was in SHOCK that the all-powerful AVATAR could have such strong feelings for HER!

So...after waiting for a whole hour in line...I squeezed my way into a seat, the whole place was absolutely PACKED, and the very first thing that they did was show the trailor for the second half of season 3!!

I. Was. Shaking.

IT WAS SOOO AMAZING!!!

And best of all....it was SO ZUTARA!!!

Okay, so here are some highlights..

:bulletred: Aang and Zuko were both firebending together
:bulletblue: Aang and Katara were standing together under a full moon. Katara's eyes were closed, and Aang steps forward and KISSES her, but it was different this time. In DoBS, Katara kinda just let it happen, but THIS time, as soon as she realized what Aang was doing, she backed away looking all freaked out.
:bulletred: AND THEN right after THAT we see Zuko and Katara standing together, facing each other, and then all of a sudden KATARA RUNS INTO ZUKO'S ARMS her face all...emotional and delicate....
:bulletblue:Zuko and Katara were fighting back-to-back!! Water was flying, fire was flying...

We have had a recent tsunami of faves on art so generously submitted by members to the Zutarian Empire.

By tsunami I mean at least 35+.

Some of you may know that a few days ago, unexpectedly, the stupid Members/affiliates journal just deleted a bunch of things off the end. We're being honest: We have no clue how that happened. If you view our recent journals, you will see what you have to do in case you were deleted.

We're sorry that this happened.

EDIT: Some members say that this has happened to them before too. I don't know if it's because the journals are too long, the CSS is too complicated, or if deviantART is just having problems in the first place, but we're hoping it won't happen again.

There is a Halloween contest coming up!

~*~Contest~*~
It's more of a Zutara costume contest. Whoever can draw Zuko and Katara in costumes, in Halloween-related settings, or just partying at a Halloween party (etc.) can enter. You don't even have to draw, if you want to write a Zutara-related halloween story, then go on right ahead.

They will be judged by the judge's opinions and by your own opinions.

~*~Rules~*~
1. Rated restrictions There are no rated restrictions. You can write lemons if you want, but remember that if you put them under mature content (which you should), then the younger members of the empire can't view them and it's possible you won't win.
2. Don't steal PLEASE. It's really not cool. Not only will you get yelled at (internet-wise, but still) you'll also get banned, more than likely.
3. Keep it Zutara Don't have just a pic of Zuko dancing with himself. That's kind of sad. If you have a pic of Zuko dancing with himself, at least have him thinking of Katara or something :kiss:
4. Have fun! ??

5. No favouritism Don't ask your friends to vote on you, because that's unfair. We won't let you enter the contest if you do it.Seriously.

What's up? Quad here, and I've been going around the news journals for quite some time now, and I was thinking: "Hmm, it would be cool to have a zutara News article, maybe including Kataang." So guess what? That's exactly what we're going to do.

What will be in it:
~ Basic introduction of Avatar: The last Airbender, and its mass shipping.
~ If you are like _____, then you'd most likely ship ______, etc.
~ Examples of pictures around dA.
~ Clubs/groups dedicated to A:tla shipping.

Dear Zutarians,

Some of you might have read the message ~chongtheninja , the so called "king" of the Kataang-empire , has left in our club.
He declares war between our clubs.

-We refused ofcoarse.

And after reading Chong's journal , I felt there had to be a few things straightened up.

We love Zutara and it's always insulting when people build up clubs only to bash it, or our club in particular. Or when a club which is dedicated to another ship clearly states it hates our ship and/or our club.
But that doesn't mean we have to hate them back.
We are proud and we will never stoop as low as those pathetic people.
If you just go around DA yelling that you hate Kataang and that you will kill it , then you are only giving Zutara and our club a bad name!
We have our image to take care of and admit: our club is going very well unlike the clubs who bash us.

The Zutarian-empire and its members have respect for other shippings. We're not more or less than them.

As for that so-called war (jeez, I'm not even supposed to call it a war!For godsake!) Are we going to fight about two non-existing couples? A CARTOON? (Think about how really sad it sounds )

As for the Kataang-empire:
1. We won't wage war.
2. We have nothing against you
3. Don't waste your time on picking a fight and go do something useful.
4. If you decide to give us a bad name or harass our Queen, the mods or the members, then we will take strong measures.
5. If you are so sure that your ship will canon, wait and see if it will happen. Then you can throw sand in our face, I don't care.

What is the purpose of this club?
The purpose of this club is to create an organized and united empire for the many zutarians out there.

Why do you need a club?
Why not? :)

Why zutarian 'Empire'?
Because as I've seen lately, people treat the zutarian empire as a, well, an empire, whether it be fanart about the zutarian 'warriors'/'fighters' or fanart about zutara shipping war ships, or anything else... And that's why it would pretty much be the perfect name for it.

Who are you, exactly?
Me personally, or me as in the club?
