So im currently browsing, or im going to, the internet for animals and try to figure out the anatomy of the diferent parts of there bodies, and there bodies as a whole. Postures, shapes of limbs etc. I think this will greatly improve my ability to draw monsters more "realisticly" (is that a word?). It will make the experience even more worthwile aswell, and more fun, and hopefully help me make more interesting monsters, taht doesnt only rely on insectlike anatomy and limbs that are extremly skinny.

I look forward to this, and i have already begun to explore the spanish bulls anatomy, and its fun. The got this agressive look, and loads of muscle. They have great posture aswell, verry agressive, as said.

Im pritty sure ill upload the doodle pages as i go along, and youre more then welcome to comment and critique it, so i can learn from that aswell, i see it as a helping hand.

As one of the Majors in my bataljon used to say "Dare to stick youre chin out, and dare to get it slamed right back in" (not sure its corectly translated). But for the sweds, if you find youre way here "Våga sticka ut hakan, och våga få den inslagen igen".

There has been a way way way to long time since i drawed to progress. I havent had the urge to do so in months. I actually thought that i wouldnt get it back again. The army does things to you. For good and for worse.

But now i actually wanted to draw. Classicaly i tried to draw from other artists to get the groove on and inspiration, and as i have always done i drawed like shit when i did.

Frustraion built and i just let loose. Screw it that alot of paper got "to waste", for those who think that way (BTW i dont). So yea a lil anger management session. Sketchy stuffs of females and some other random stuff. Even a cannoe again. Its weird how easy it is to draw cannoe good in perspective. Its such a simple shape/form.

Well well, who knows, maybe ill dust off the shelfs sort of speak and uoad something in the future. Who knows. Maybe if i get proud of something it'll end up in here. So yea, if you care, maybe a treat will come, maybe.

Ive been there for three weeks now and the guys n girls i live with at the regement are so kewl (almost every1) and weve already been forced to cooperate on higher levels than most of us have been used to. So i really feel like ive known them for a yea, even though weve been together for such a short period of time.

Anyways, this weekend i got lucky and got to go home. Going back there tonight actually. Yesterday i doodled my ass off and made some of my "typical" stuff. But today i felt the urge to do some nasty ass monster again. Actually its pritty fucking weird and im planning on rendering it too. as it is now, im pritty fucking happy with it. Spend a good hour or more on it, so im starting to get the feeling of it. Ill take it with me to the army and work on it when i got the mood and time. And time is of shortage over there, hehe. Well yea so you know whats going on, and if u liked my previouse monsters u got something to look forward too rofl.

Anyway, i did an abstract of smooth curvy lines and started to give sertain focuspoints more power by ramming the pencil into the paper. and after that my lines gave me a new dimension, and from it i saw some kinda alien, highly developed (intellectually) insect. Its "my own breed" but ofc with bits and pieces from real ones, since i wouldnt be able to connect to insects on a visual level otherwise. Anyways, i think it will come out great actually and i hope youll like it when i upload the first parts. I intend to upload it step by step to decrease the chance of me screwing the overall impression up for you, AND me

Its finnished now, the new drawing that i was ranting about up here ^^^.
Man, what can i say... I havent been this pleased with a "spontaneouse" drawing since i drew that nasty "hellspawn" thats in the back of my gallery, the one without arms and his soul beeing sucked out his mouth. So yea i think i rock right 'bout now, hahaha. Just finnishing it up. Putting more value at some places and almost earaseing lines fully at some places so it doesnt just look like a mess of lines. I also decided to change the subject from a nasty high-tech alien, to a kinda hybrid human/insect. Well not really to much human, but if you take you time i think you can find sertain interesting parts were i have added in a bit more human than insect anatomy. Even if the insect anatomy have been taken straight from my imagination (except for the head, wich is inspired by a praying mantis). Also adding a bit thicker and darker outline to seperate it better from the background, wich is white since its a sketch. Not to thick though heheh

here i got again, writing to much. Anyways i hope you will enjoy it as much as i do. This pic really makes me feel proud, and worth a damn *coff, coff*

I thought this sounded good, and i know he is right, so i started to do some cirlces and then i was like wtf. I did a little abstract and out of it i sketched something that looked like some alien spaceship. I was gonna give it four insectlike legs too, to bring it more to the alien aspect. Then i changed my mind and drew human legs, and transformed the shape of it into a canoe. I know this sounds crazy but im really proud of the outcome. I didnt halfass the feet or legs, i really tried, and it payed of.

It was a little emotional, i loved the staff, they were like my friends in some crazy way. I guess i have learnt that it doesnt matter what you do, as long as you like it, and you like the people around you, and they like you.

So i got some energy to get out and i did it on paper. It has been a while i must say since i was able to throw something up that quick on paper from my abstract dribbles and doodles. It became a Monkey head. I am verry pleased with it and i intend to give it as a gift to the staff were i, as of now, used to work. Im gonna try to scan it first thogh so you guys can look at it, if you want of course.
