Please know that any proceeds from the prints or any of my photography for that matter go to help Kets family in Thailand and Cambodia. If you have never read about them or are remotely interested in what a Cambodian Refugee had to go though to get here (USA) you might find this interesting:

I really need to update this, since I wrote this Biography we made another trip to Thailand and Cambodia, we loaned out a LOT of money, but I wont bore you with the details, except Im a proud owner of a tractor in Cambodia

If there is a particular photo in my gallery you dont see and want as a print, just let me know and I will make it available. On the plus side, DA doesnt seem to limit the size of the gallery. Or if you prefer a print with my signature on it (who would) shoot me an email.

I know everyone has their own problems and financial concerns but I thought I would put this out there regardless. With the holidays approaching we try to send a little extra to help her family out. Ok, enough said

Just realized I went over 500 watchers and I cant believe it, Im absolutely honored. Thank you so much for watching me and appreciating my photos, I cant tell you how humbling it is but I can say it makes it worth it!!! Especially the comments, I appreciate those the most, and even the critiques, Ive learned so much since joining DA.

Last weekends photo shoot with the anonymous model was one of my favorites in a long time. To me there is a little more beautiful than the female form and this model is incredible. This shoot was in the works for two months and a lot of conversations were had and ideas bounced off. I built three apparatuses and though we only used two I loved the results. And these werent easy for the model, the red rope swing is painful, believe me I tried it!!! I especially appreciate this model putting her trust in me and allowing me to fulfill my vision, very few would

There are many tastes in art and I think it is a shame that DA has recently decided to take it upon themselves to censor certain works. The only reason for the censorship seems to be potential legal issues with underage viewers. It's my opinion the DA should do a better job of limiting access to individuals who may be offended by these works as opposed to deleting them. Note I did not say limiting underage Deviants, I dont believe in shielding children from art and I dont shield it from mine. Ok, enough said

Great news from Cambodia!!! While Ket and I were there a few months ago we committed to investing in her brother and his family. We wanted to try and give him the means to make a living as opposed to sending money monthly. It was a bit scary getting the money to the bank over there but we finally got it there and no one ripped us off. The loan terms for Kets brother are extremely favorable, heck he doesnt have to make a payment for a whole year. So hopefully this time next year we will see a return on our investment.

So we are the proud new owner of a tractor in Cambodia, hopefully I wont have to repossess it, that might be a bit tricky

No shoots this weekend so its a great opportunity to spend some time with my boy. Were supposed to go fishing with a friend and his son. Im not too fond of fishing but my son seems to like it. I think Ill take my camera and a long lens to capture some wildlife.

I was absolutely flattered and stunned!!! There are so many great photographers/Artists on DA much more deserving than me. Ill have to make it a point now to suggest a few DDs.

Wanted to also say thank you to all of those that commented, faved this piece, and to those new folks watching me. It was a flood in my inbox but I think I have gotten through them all, if I missed you it was not intentional.

Ket and I are all recovered from our trip to Asia, things have settled down and we are working on a new series Suspension, were very happy with the preliminary results and responses but I want to re-shoot to clean up a few things, I think it will be worth it. We also picked up a number of accessories in Thailand that I will be using in future shoots, should be interesting.

After over 2,500 views, 100+ comments, and 300 fav's DA Admins decided to remove "Family Portrait" and for the life of me I don't know why?!?!? You remember the photo, the cute one with the Ass Cracks that I took for my sister in-law. I didn't get one complaint or derogatory comment for this photo, it made people smile, it made me smile I even received a nice email from the admins when this photo reached 1000 views. What a bunch of fucking morons!!!

If you have any half assed pictures of your family better flush them now!!!

Wow, 3000 Page views, I dont know what to say?!?!?! Is this something I should be excited about? I suppose a little

DA is a funny place, at first it is very addictive I have to admit but like anything the novelty wears off after awhile.

I have met many people whose work I truly admire and I find inspirational. I even met a person who has been an absolute wealth of knowledge and is selfless in handing out advice.

But

It feels a bit shallow because I really dont KNOW these people and it seems very difficult to really get to know anyone on the internet. Ive tried the various Photography chat rooms, but it seems the last thing anyone chats about is photography. Ive also tried the forums, all I found there were people promoting their work, which I guess is the point

I didnt mean for this note to turn negative so let me interject this. The inspiration I have gotten from many of the talented artists I watch has been tremendous. The caliber of work and creativity from these individuals in so many cases is Art I would like to see in Museums and Galleries. For this, let me say THANK YOU!!! And this is for everyone I watch!!!

Perhaps I will start off and tell you a bit about me, in hopes that you will do the same this way we get to know each other.

I am 35 and have spent the last 16 years with my wife Ket, together we have one son named Dylan Tiger. Ket and I met on blind date, it was an interesting date because she did not speak English very well. We gestured a lot and I think we understood one another regardless of the language barrier. After a year her English got better and I learned how to curse in and obscure Cambodian dialect

We live in a house on some land in the outskirts of Washington D.C. Ket has her garden in the warmer months, Dylan has a creek to play in, and I have a Jeep to have fun with. On nice weekends we head further out in our Jeep and explore whats left of the public trails, on occasion I wheel it a bit harder during private events. Hardcore offroading is rare these days as the budget wont allow for it anymore. Too many broken parts to fix on the Jeep

Last summer Ket and I traveled to Thailand and Cambodia to visit her Mother, Sister, and Brother. Family she had not seen in 20 years. It was an eye opening experience for both of us but especially for me. I grew up in VA, my parents were well off and I was well cared for. I had never seen a third world county or thought much about them. This was a life changing experience, to see the poverty the majority of the people live in especially my wifes family really changed my view of the world. So much so that a good chunk of our earnings now go to making her family more comfortable and healthy. This is something we will continue to do for some time. We continue to explore other ways to help as well.

Photography has always been a passion in my life. I had a rangefinder camera at the age of 11 and the inspiration of two artistic parents one of which was a professional commercial and fine artist, we even had a darkroom in the house. My father gave me my first SLR when I was 20, a Canon EOS 10s and a little over a year ago I bought a Digital SLR which I enjoy to this day.

Ive attempted for the last few months to make a little money from photography but it has been slow. I just sold my first stock photos last week, after 5 days I have sold 20, perhaps a good start. The intent for this money is to further help our family in Thailand/ Cambodia and to continue to feed my passion. So far so good

So, now you know a little about me and my world, I would love to read about you
