Hopefully soon a trickle of work will start to find its way here, but having said that I realise how often I've said it in the past. I'm still creating though, so there's submissions to be had when and if I ever get around to it! For now I'm just going to re-vamp my gallery/etc and a lot of stuff will be going into the scrapbook. Yes it's true! I updated with a new submission, which may be an old painting, but it's a prelude to some new stuff that I am currently working on. I have a media related piece in the works, as well as a bunch of portraits that I am doing and hopefully going to use for an exhibition around July this year. I have more time at the moment and plan on getting a lot more done so I will submit those pieces as I complete them, but knowing my track record I will believe that when I see it. A new icon to set things off properly, now that I seem to actually have some idea of where I am heading artistically these days. I'm really getting into a lot of painting and recently had my first solo exhibition during SALA 2006 (that's the South Australian Living Arts festival of 2006) at the Crown & Anchor Hotel in the city... my favourite pub in Adelaide. For a first show that had no publicity and was kind of thrown together at the last minute it went really well and I sold a bunch of paintings on opening night. The coolest thing that I got from my first exhibition experience was hearing other people saying stuff like "this is the most original and inspiring stuff I've seen yet" and "fuck! this stuff sucks!"... I like a mixed reaction, it shows that what you're doing is something other than average.

Now that the exhibition is over and I finally got around to uploading some more recent paintings (there are more to come), I treated myself to a dA subscription, which will come when PayPal decides to complete its transaction over the next couple of weeks... I really dig dA and it feels good to be in a position where I can afford to contribute something to the running of everything.

I have plans to start doing some portraiture and that kind of thing, which I think would be fun and challenging for me because the idea of doing anything outside of my own personal imagination is a little intimidating. So in the future you can all hopefully expect some different things coming into my gallery... hopefully they will make it past the Scraps collection... but we'll see about that when we get there.

I have organised a lot of shoots, but they are all waiting on the camera status to be improved.

The main photography project I am working on at the moment is a series of photos that come from the idea for Band . I have a whole series planned, some are going to be a lot of fun because if I can pull it off, they should be pretty complex and interesting - at least for me

For now though, I am just sticking to the other artforms that I like to explore, so that's all there will be on here for the next few weeks.

Again, let me apologise for the flood, I have been submitting all the writing that I have been meaning to do for a while now. I have a lot of free time at the moment so have been able to do all the things that I have been putting off for a while.

Recent news is that I got accepted into the uni course that I applied for, so I should be doing that for at least the rest of this year. Personally I like to look at this as a fine opportunity to fill in time drawing and meeting new people... aka "possible models"... to photograph. Either way, this year should let me produce a whole lot more work so I am quite excited about that.

I'm going to take a rest for a couple of days and do some other things I have been planning to get done. So after this sudden boom of submitting, I am now going to slack off again. Only for a couple of days though... then there will more fresh deviations to fill everyone's watch! Haha! There is no escape

1. My digicam is stuffed and I need a new one because it would be cheaper to buy a new one than fix the one I have which is no great loss because it was a piece of shit anyway and a couple of years old so I was getting sick of it anyway. Hopefully I will be borrowing a CyberShot tomorrow night so you may see something from me by the weekend.

2. I am now unemployed and have no money to process film or buy more film for my wickedly sexy film camera that I miss shooting with like you'd miss your mother on Grand Final day. There is plenty in the words but no funds to bring anything to the front, more on that when I get a job.

Other news in the making is that I am moving house (again) soon and will be hooking myself up with some more webspace once that happens because a mate who I will be living with is going to go halves or something with me, more on that when I get a job. This means that a new comic will be in the making, I like having comics on my own webspace rather than here because the layout is better if you can do it yourself, anyway this one is going to be sweet because I will be putting in a fair bit more effort than I have previously and I have a story that is solid gold as far as I am concerned.

Turns out that the reason why my car sent me into a lamp post doing eighty was because a tire blew and because I was doing eighty it didn't like that at all. So basically my car is a write off now and it is sitting at a wreckers place in Verdun - I won't be deviating much for a while I think, unless I get some good shots of my mangled car, then I might post them here.

Either way, I don't have a car anymore, might get another sometime soon, but right now.. fucking fuck fuck.... I don't think I have ever screamed and hurled abuse quite as much or as loud as I did last night after it had come to a stop and I got out and ran all over the grass like I had a bad case of tourettes or something....

Met some cool people and got to know the girl that I was modeling with a bit better - I already knew her anyway but it was cool because we had a chance to talk and shit while they were setting up and all that. Yes I am interested in taking some shots of anyone who will let me... but I had things like portraits and expressive stuff in mind. Gah! I know that I will basically take a photo of anything that anyone wants me to, but I don't like people using that against me and making me the butt of their jokes. I don't do porn, making porn is easy, anyone with a disposable camera can make porn... if I am going to shoot nudes then I want to at least try and make it mean something and have a reason for being nude!!!

Gah! I am so done with this rant ~ just don't give me grief because I don't want it. If you would like to do some PROPER modelling for me then I would appreciate it, otherwise don't even bother, it might be fun to make fun of me but I simply don't have the time.
