The first thing to plug is Sapphire. What, am I pushing gemstones on you now? No, don't worry. I'm pushing my friend, nicknamed Sapphire - not only because he's my friend, but because he's a fantastic writer. Sapphire writes all sorts of stories - so far you can see the beginning of a mystery/crime/love story and a very beautiful stand-alone supernatural short story on his DA page. He also does lots fantasy, and I've had the great priviledge to read much of it. Maybe - if you leave him nice comments - he'll upload some of his other stories, or previews of the ones that he is going to get published. Who knows?
Well, I warmly recommend going to visit Sapphire,([link]).

The second thing to plug is my own newest webcomic, which is rather silly, run as a strip, and is about pirates. It's updates once or twice a week, but it'll be easy to catch up right now, because I only just started ...

Is it me or has DA changed the design of the site? Oh well.

Anyway, I'm back from Tokyo. I had a wonderful trip and am eventually going to upload some of the few pictures I had time to draw while being there. Right now I'm catching up, or trying to. *sweatdrop* There's so much e-mail to wade through, and so many things to do when you get back home after a month.

Uhm ... you can't have icons in your journal anymore, or what?

Anyway. Here I am, and ready to chet a bit about how things are here.

We (that is me and my fiance) have already seen a bunch of things. Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ginza, etc. It is very hot, but luckily Tokyo is the City of Air Conditioners and Vending Machines.

The TV set in our room shows a lot of anime that we have never heard of before, and every little bookshop has a bigger collection of manga than the comic stores back home. Everything an anime og manga fanatic could want, huh? Hehe.

I do not see a scanner around, so I guess I will not be able to scan any of the pictures that I have drawn. Erh, not that there are a lot anyway. I really have not been that creative yet. There is just too much to think about and see here to really sit down for hours with my drawing materials.

We spend a lot of time being on trips to the city (we live in a part of Tokyo called Oshiage, which is 30 minutes by metro from places liked Shibuya and Akihabara), and relax when we get home - often at the local transport band sushi place. Yummy!

Well, I had better stop my ranting now. I do hope some of you bother to check out this journal (hi mom, hi dad, hi Leechy, etc.). Uhm ... guess that is it, then. We are having a great time in Tokyo and are taking a bunch of photos to show off when we get home (well, to the people who read this that we know, obviously).

Anyway, I just uploaded some new art. Hope you like.

I'm going to Japan on Friday (August the 1st) and won't be home before the 28th. I'm looking sooo much forward to it. If I get to spend some time in an Internet cafe, I'll use this journal to tell whoever cares about my trip. That should make my friends and family happy. THey probably won't have a scanner, but if they do, I'll upload some pics too.

Any tips for must-sees in Tokyo?

I'm surprised that I've already got comments on some of my pictures and had one favourite'd by another person. Whee! I'm really happy.

It seems liked Deviantart is full of interaction between the users, and has a lot of different people from all over the world. I've already come across people from Denmark, the very small spot on the world map where I live. Neat!

Oh yeah, perhaps I'd better clean the part about my name up ... I got a "you're the person who draws Tales Untold?" ([link]) comment, and I guess if anyone here comes across me who knows my website or my online comics (yeah right, how many of those people are there anyway? ), they probably know me by the name M-chan (hence the URL of my website ... m-chan.dk). Anyway, M-chan was already taken on Deviantart, so I decided to use Abdiel.

Who's Abdiel? Well, he's an angel from Milton's Paradise Lost. I wrote a paper on PL last year, and I grew really really fond of Abdiel.
