Shall we have a wee catch-up session?

University; is going surprisingly well, actually! I'm really enjoying my course (East Asian Studies), and I know more about EA economics and military history than I could ever possibly need.
Home; well, there are good bits and bad bits. I don't really want to go in to proper details, but things are changing way beyond my control. I am enjoying the positives while I can - nothing lasts for ever, right?
Love life; or rather, lack thereof! Har har.
Art; most pertinent to DA... similar to the above, ain't got nuffin'. The creative juices have not only run dry, they've totally vanished. I can't remember the last time I drew anything.
I'm hoping to join photo-soc this year, which might just give me the kick up the backside that I need. And, um, I may possibly maybe hopefully going on holiday next month, which should (if it all goes to plan) result in some 'citing photos. 'N that.

Maybe I should have done typography instead of Japanese. Now there's a useful degree! I can't speak Japanese but I can make damn fabulous fonts! Employ me now! Hurrah!

YOSH. It's been a while I've updated here. So... I still haven't gone back to work {HA}, I'm rather happily single, and I'm off to Japan again on the 27th June. Hurrah! Only for a couple of weeks, but it'll be wonderful seeing everyone again, I miss the residents so much.
I think the thing that kills me the most about coming back is that no-one cares about what I've been doing for the past six months. For once I can honestly say that I've made a difference, and I just feel like... I don't know, I'm back to being second best again. Well, screw that! I'm going to put the word out that I'm looking for a job etc in Japan {anywhere in the Kansai region please}, and if something comes of it then great, and if not I still have uni.

Anyway, this is probably my last entry here before I go to Japan. I leave on the 6th of September, spend a couple of days in Tokyo to get used to it, head off to my work placement in Takarazuka City {near Osaka-ish}. I finish there on the 24th February, fly back up to Tokyo to meet my mother and indulge in some serious shopping for a few days, then I'm off to Hong Kong for a week before coming back to the UK. Then in October 2006 I start my Japanese Studies course at Sheffield university... what a schedule!

I'm putting this account, and my LiveJournal, on a mini-hiatus as of September. I'm not sure how much net access I'll have in Japan, but rest assured I'm taking my camera with me! Expect a flood of rubbish touristy photos when I come back ^___~

I hope you all take care, and if anything major happens while I'm away just drop me a comment or something - I'd love to hear from you!

anyway, i'm still here but things have been rather hectic recently. i've accepted an offer from Sheffield uni, so i need to get three Bs at A level to get in. i also found out that i've been placed in a carehome in Takarazuka city in Japan {in between Osaka and Kobe}, starting in September! hurrah! sadly i'll have limited net access, so if i disappear for about six months don't panic! ^___^

I'm sure no one actually cares about the past month and a half since I updated this, so let's start with something recent:

This weekend was mostly spent: scanning my face and watching the gymnastics world cup thingy - not just for a certain memeber of the Japanese mens team! Oh ho ho no.... *coughcough* My motives are transparent >__<

Today shall be mostly spent: eating/drinking nothing other than orange juice and it's evilevil carbohydrates, and wallowing in a delightful mixture of hormones and coursework. Hurrah!

I guess i should say something about college, but meh. It's just... college. I don't really feel like it's a big part of my life, I'm just going there because I have to finish my A levels somewhere. I start japanese language lessons on Thursday evening, which I'm really looking forward to. Less than a year to go until I go to Japan for six months!
