I was hoping for an A in Literature; which means I probably didn't do as well with my final paper or the Final test... guess I find out on Monday which one! Everything else is exactly as I predicted.

As for my Spring Break it is slowly coming to a close D= I leave for Portland Saturday afternoon and will arrive Sunday afternoon as long as the bus doesn't fuck up again >.<;

Going to have a game night here with `junkster78 and some of his friends and roomies either tomorrow or Friday. Munchkin! yay! I haven't played that game in soooo long. I need to get my own copy and teach my brother. I think he would like it.

Got lots of reading done; finished A Feast For Crows (by George R. R. Martin) and really really really want to read the next book. Which doesn't come out until September 30th.

Guess where I'll be September 30th?

Sadly that means tomorrow is going to be crazy busy with me taking tests, studying, probably finishing up a paper, and then fleeing to California to visit my lovely `junkster78. Two weeks of vacation!! Super excited *~*

Sadly, this does mean I probably won't get to be in the movie Twilight. I went to an extras casting call and they actually contacted me to be in one of the scenes, buuut it's when I'm in California, and boyfriend > movie.

That's about all I have to say. Might get some writing done while I'm in California; going to have a lot of downtime since `junkster78 still has class going on and projects to do.

There were at least four or five active participants while this was going on, all men and women in their 20s and 30s. We were talking about crazy bus routes in Portland, and this girl had a story from one of the times she was riding. She going home after dinner and this girl heard a strange sort of liquidy noise that she couldn't quite explain. She happened to look down and saw blood streaming by her shoes. Looking for the source she saw a man who had blood pouring (or squirting, wasn't specified, but it was a lot) out of his arm.

No one said anything. No one did anything. Not the passengers, not the bus driver, no one. Not until another man got onto the bus, saw what was going on and exclaimed, "What the fuck is wrong with you people!?" and promptly starting helping the man.

The conversation then turned to what you do in this sort of situation. My first thought was "Uh, help the guy?" But as I listened to people talk their first words were all (to paraphrase), "Well what if he's crazy, or has a disease, or is on drugs? Is that something I want to get involved with? Do I want the liability? And even if I could guarantee that he was perfectly sane and not cracked out, what do I even do?"

I replied with something along the lines of, "Create a tourniquet so that you can at least SLOW the bleeding? If an artery has been punctured, which by the details it very well might have been, that man had 5 minutes tops to get some kind of medical help before he dies."

First off, people were stunned it could happen the quickly (granted, it is a pretty scary number), secondly almost everyone seemed clueless as to how to make a tourniquet.

(For the record, you tie SOMETHING, a jacket, a scarf, some cloth, a rope, a belt, ANYTHING YOU CAN TIE around the part of the arm or leg that is just above the wound and closest to the heart. Tie it as tight as you possibly can; if their fingers or toes start to go numb this is good. It is evident that blood flow is being restricted. It will not stop the blood or outright fix him, but you just gave him a few more minutes to get proper help. While this may sound obvious and silly to mention, this method should not be used on neck wounds. It would restrict airflow.)

Someone then said, "Right, and then he loses and arm and sues."

1. Good Samaritan Law, even if your help causes something worse to happen you will not be held accountable because you tried to fucking help. I know this is true in Oregon, might be wise to see if your state/country/place of residence has a similar law enacted.

2. Life > Arm

3. There are many reasons to not help someone. You'll see several of them illustrated above. But we're all people. If we can't and/or don't help each other who or what can we depend on?

Many times in an emergency your head goes blank, you shut down, you look for someone else to lead because you're so scared of what's going on. Sadly, it's that sort of hesitance that harms the victim.

The best advice to counteract that sort of mind-numbing fear is to know what to do. If you've never taken a first aid or CPR course, go sign up for one now. If it's been years since you've taken one, go sign up for one now. If it's been a relatively short period of time, either go sign up right now or at THE VERY LEAST look up some refresher notes online.

Know how to treat a mild wound. Know how to create a makeshift splint. Know how to increase a person's survival time until paramedics can get there through such means as making a tourniquet or applying CPR. Know that you can make a difference and that you can help someone. Don't wait for someone else to take the lead. Just act.

I don't care if you think it's expensive, or you think you don't have time, or you don't think you'll ever use it. Knowing how to do these basic procedures could save a life. Maybe a stranger, maybe a close friend, maybe yourself.

It's better to know stuff like this and never use it, than be in a situation where you need to know it but don't.

That's all that I wanted to say.

While there are a few parts in it that I like, such as a few vocal, drum, guitar, and bass moments... none of those moments happen at the same time. It's just a sort of blended mesh of Machi, saku, and Jesus Christ. I don't like it all that much :/ 'tis a shame... but at least the lives on the single will make up for my dissapointment
