For the past two months I've been busy volunteering my time to the middle school drama program. It's something that I've done since my Junior year of high school, and have continued to do since graduating in '03. I love it, and don't ever plan on giving it up.

So today (or yesterday, now.) marked the one-week countdown. In one week from today...well, yesterday...Peter Pan will have it's opening night.

Tommorow the company that's setting up the flying system will be comming in to do just that...set up the system that allows Peter and pals to fly about the auditorium. I'm going to be there tommorow to learn about how the system works, as I'm going to be the one to 'fly' the boy who plays John Darling around the stage. I can't wait to learn, but I'm a bit nervous about it.

Other then learning how the fly system works, we're also going to be doing some touch-ups on the set. Now that it's finished I'm going to be bringing my camera in to snap a few shots of it. So far it's the biggest one we've had to play with yet, and we all love and hate it. Being the biggest means that it's also one of the hardest to move around (espically for that last scene change in act three. What a doozie that one is!)...but it's we've all just put so much work into it we can't help but love it.

And well...for now that's it. Hope to be posting some decent shots of our most awesome set soon.

When I'm upset (as I have been this past week) I deal with it in different ways...and one of those ways happens to be spending money.

So...today I went and spent some money, and what did I buy? A new digital camera.

A Sony DSC-H2.

There is no way it can replace a lost loved one, there's nothing in the world that will be able to replace my grandfather, but it has helped to cheer me up a bit.

Tommorow I fully intend to go out and about for some 'photography therepy'.

I took over 300 picture over the past week, most of them just random snapshots, and the ones that I think came out nice I'll post up.

So...I'm not a happy camper.

Mainly because the trip that I've been looking forward to, the one where I was to take a road trip with my sister and my best friend to visit our other best friend, has been puched back. And one of us might not be able to go.

It's been raining for the past week and now most of our town is underwater and closed off (it's near to the river...the river flooded...it's like Alanticia...or something) and therefor my friend can't get her paycheck. Therefor, we can't go tommorow since she has now money. If she can't get her check by Saturday she wants us to go without her. We don't want to.

Another reason I'm not a happy camper...the baby birds, the ones in one of the photos in my gallery, are all dead. Due to some heavy winds this past week the nest blew out of the tree it was in.

So, yeah, me? Not happy.
