Equipped with my S5000, a generator, mirror and floodlights, we headed to Kennedy grove, the memorial momument of the late President Kennedy. No lights whatsoever, we took some time to adjust the lighting and to find shots within a small area. Amy and adriana were giving the upmost, as well as their 2 friends who of course were given the responsabilities to adjust the light and the foil. Pity that my camera at that time could only give me 2 secs of shutter speed....but at least...we got a good result.
Steff contacted me after watching Sarah's pics and after watching some of her snapshots, the only location I had in mind was ideal for her. Mystique, an abstract building now abondoned had to be viewed so with Rob some week ago, we managed to gain access. As I thought, Mystique had to offer what I had imagined. Last Saturday, the assembly of the team, me, rob and alexia, christine (our make up artist) together with her husband, Steff who was our model and her bf. The more the merrier in a place like that.
Well...an awesome result overall.... her being the model, alexia for the poses, rob for the lighting as well as christine, her make up artist...who after this session decided to join adonis arts....and last and not least, the location (s)...well the first location, the abondoned building...some say its haunted...who cares anyways??
We had a hell of a day, together with anthea's bf dave and christine's husband trevor. Watch her slideshow on adonis arts - [link]
a myth in photographs. Featuring Alexia (now adonis arts posing instructor)
This session although started as a normal photoshoot, alexia managed to project 2 characters which we've evolved to create a legend. Finding a location where nobody dares to dwell...40 metres below ground level...an earth's cravice.
A team of 6 including the model and extras ...equipped with lighting and generator as well as a haze machine roamed the forsaken area to deliver an epic. Now shown on adoniscreations site, I am proud to say that this would have not been possible without alexia and rob as well as brandon, emilio and marie stell.
I started off with my closest friends who accepted to take photosessions. I widened my contacts with other girls, also willing to pose.
although some of these pics date back 1996-97, they are still and will always be part of my life. That was the time I handled professional photography, practical and theory and If i took 20 photos, if I could accept 1, it would have been a miracle. I sucked at it at first but I was stubborn to learn and I didnt care how much money was going down the drain to pay from my negative and photo development...I would see my mistakes, take opinions and try again....and these pics are the results of such experiments. From one pic i would start collecting 5 from a whole negative. Now I collect more....but im no god....i am still stubborn to learn and experiment more....although I am confident in my art. But I see others photographers both in DA and out to learn more.
So my message applies to those persons here or beginners who think that their artistic skills are inferior. Everybody was....give yourselves time to learn from others and find time to experiment.

proud member of

Well to be honest, I still remember this as if it was yesterday. Me and my collegue had a client in gozo regarding his hotel web site...so we took Maria along for her photosession. The photos were suppose to be her gift on her boyfriend's (at that time) birthday. During the trip he called and found out that she was on the ferry boat with us (we were all collegues working at the NM computer stores).
During the session, gozitans literally surrounded us...glaring at us and on the model..as if taking part in the session itself.....pathetic humans anyways
I don't know an inch about ballet but my gf at that time was a ballerina, so were her friends. So from a couple of pics, it turned to be my forte, had models in that scene so it became the subject I chose to obtain a distinction during my first year.
Prior to the arrival of the Normans, Malta was considered a Muslim country and was led by the Arab leader known as Qa’id, together with a group of leading Muslim men. It appears that the servile class at the time outnumbered the free men. The attack of Count Roger on Malta was narrated by Goffredo Malaterra, the Count’s own chronicler. Count Roger and his troops landed in Malta in July 1091.

The Inauguration of the Great Siege Monument in 1705‘Rien est Plus Connu que le Siege de Malte’ – Nothing is more known than the siege of Malta’. These were the words uttered by the French philosopher Voltaire in the 18th century, some 200 years following the Siege of Malta of 1565. The monument of the Great Siege standing in Victory at Vittoriosa was erected in 1705, by the then-governor of Vittoriosa, Fra Carlo Caraffa, a Knight of the Order of St. John. The monument was financed by the Universita’ of Vittoriosa which then served as the administrative council of the same town. The Jurats of the Universita’ then were: the noble Mario Testaferrata, Fabrizio Testaferrata, Giovanni Andrea Grech and Ferdinand Fiott. Their names are inscribed on the marble plaque that was then set into the column that supports the figure representing Malta victorious over the Ottomans.

proud member of

Although we have having constant comments about having a male on the site, well, our first meeting with this chap came in november.
Giving us feedback about his clothes and immagination, we were thrilled of having this session done. It was set for a morning session and a night, which was to be held the week after. The first part was shot in the ancient town of Tarxien, as his clothing were more into Pre/post war malta era. The second shooting was postponed due to his personal reasons, so this project was held.
the silent city and old capital of malta

Mdina, Malta’s medieval capital, can trace its origins back more than 4000 years. It had different names and titles depending on its rulers and its role. It was Melita to the Romans; Medina to the Arabs; and Citta’ Vecchia, the old city, when Valletta became the lifeblood of the Islands. None describe it better than its medieval name, Citta’ Notabile, the noble city.
It was home then, as now, to Malta’s noble families; some are descendants of the Norman, Sicilian and Spanish overlords who made Mdina their home from the 12th century onwards. Their Impressive palaces line its narrow, shady streets. Mdina is one of Europe’s finest examples of an ancient walled city, and unusual in its mix of medieval and baroque architecture.

Today Mdina has a quiet, restrained atmosphere in keeping with its noble past. Lamplit by night, Mdina transforms itself into the ‘Silent City’. For a relaxed evening, seek out the restaurants tucked away in its bastions and palace courtyards.

That was a brief history of the old city. We headed there for some night photography, in cold winds...but some catchy results

proud member of

Postponing it to a further date, we decided to head elsewhere this time. This isnt the first time for her, as she posed infront of my camera with her current band - angelblade.
So, having my team along with her bf, the session had started off much better than the one before (which i deleted every pic from it)
Both fine cameras, I was attracted to the fuji. Being a proud owner of the S5000, this camera gave me a boost, one session after each other and I highly recommend it. I've been noticed by professional photographers in Malta, my site is hitting hundreds per day...its not that...i wanted to enhance my camera and since feeling the grip of the S9500 and gave it a try at one of the Fairs, I wanted to remain part of the Fuji users.
Well the session started when i wanted to do a photosession on a friend of mine I've known for 18 years, some one i went out with when i was still 17. I came in touch with Elaine some years ago and in summer of 2004, we were back together...(well it only lasted 11 months).
Laura is her daughter so basically, we had 3 priorities on this photoshoot. Elaine wanted a session, the holy communion dress she wore when she was laura's age and....laura's session...in the same dress but with a dark twist.... there it is
Comments started regarding sarah. My site was still in the old version although I ve been kicking my brains to re design it. The third and forth session took off (diversion of a woman - visions for the city alleys and lady of the faie - midsummer's eve) although they didnt reach the old site. Neither did her last shoot, which provided a turn into merging with 2 great friends. The session " come to the domain - latex and velvet" wouldnt have been possible without my team Alexia and Rob. She provided many poses for Sarah and Rob gave me great lighting angles as well as the location itself.
A team of 6 including the model and extras ...equipped with lighting and generator as well as a haze machine roamed the forsaken area to deliver an epic.
dear friends,
I have deleted my gallery within DA for many reasons. Although I've decided to end my space some months ago, I've re-decided to build my gallery again. It's been ages since I've uploaded some new stuff so before I'll do that, I took my gallery down as some of them were old stuff....although good so perhaps you ll see many of them again. As to the models, Adonis Arts now boasts with 27 models and sharing them with you made me think that I will be more organised in portraying my models. Some you've seen already and thanks for the comments shared. As to animals and architecture, ballet and scenery, I will upload the creme de la creme. So forgive me if you dont see your favourites which you choose from my previous gallery.
As to my last upload was Farrah, well many things have changed from my side. I gave my boost in photography as well as my site and now it's receiving many and many feedbacks. Sessions are held more professionally, as I've teamed up with a pose instructor and a lighting enhancer, as well as a make up artist when needed.
So hope you ll enjoy my new stuff.....of course it will take some time.
thanks and regards

i am very disappointed about my last entries' feedback. I only got a couple of comments...some of them mediocre and one word comment.
On my behalf, I know that I have uploaded many from my girlfriend and daughter-to-be photo shoot....but they went well in 2004 Helloween party Genetika were I was chosen to show them on bigscreen....and I thought to share them with you.
And the strange fact is that i got some good comments from viewers out of my watchers list. So basically...Im gonna delete some from my watchers list and start afresh...its better this way than unsubscribing from deviantart.
Well....hope you enjoy my new entries....as shown in genetika....new models are alexandria and sandy.

my last entries "returning to goths' dated July was my last. I was busy in my business and neither has internet access for these last 6 months.
I'm settled with my girlfriend who I know for 18 years now....we're back together again (shown in 'the beautiful short story' part 1 and 2)
So as I moved house to live with her and her 2 kids....it took me quite some time to transfer all my stuff. You will be seeing more of my Aphrodite (elaine) and daughter 10 year old Laura. So hope to re-gain contact with all my friends here.
See you around
