Sorry i've been such an invisible man resently. I've almost completly recovered from my surgery back in June, thanks (Eccept for this annoying F*@$#ing itch!).
So, let's get this straight, as I get home from the hospital back in July,I find my monitor burnt out, so I wait till August till I can get a nu one. THAN, part way through the month, my 'net connection goes titz-up. So NOW I have to get (Yet ANOTHER) network card.
The problem is, I'm on a REALLY tight budget, and I have to pay the registration fee for school before I do anything else. It's only if I can swing it afterwords will I be getting another net-card for my P.C. (Than we'll see how long it takes for THIS one to burn-the-F*#$@-out!)
Tak to you all soon (Hopefully).

Sorry for being out of the loop for so long, but I've been in recovery.
It strarted aboot a month ago; my girl noticed my weakend condition and insisted I go to the Hospital (I was originally going to head to the nearest clinic). Once there, they inform me I'd lost A HECK of a Lot more blood than I'd thought I had (I'm actually used to it, due to my medical condition), and I end up spending the weekend getting a transfusion.
That folowing Tuesday was surgery to correct a problem that shoulda been dealt with a long time ago.
Richard Pryor was right, btw, "Hospitals ain't no place to get better!"
Now I'm home on a constant diet of anti-biotics and Tylenols, and oh-so-slowly getting my strength back. My oppologies to BANetwork for my abcense; damn, there were so many projects I wanted to participate in!
On top of all that, I'm presently typing this on my brother's computer; my monitor died!!!
Anyway, best to everyone, and I'll be back soon as I get my strength and a new monitor.
Peace and love.

Copied this from [link]
Looked like a fun way to introduce my character.
Fifty Questions For An Original Character:

1. What is your character's name?
Achilles Helix aka “Ackee” (Ah-key)

2. What is your character's name in another language?
Pretty much the same. Earth’s dialects were influenced by the Martian/Aresian culture.

3. How old is he?
Aresian/Marsian equivalent of 17 years old

4. What is your character's race and species?
He's Aresian-human (Subtle differences in DNA that allow for super-human powers).
He’s mixed with the Aresian equivalents of African and Caucasian, so in Earth’s terminology he would be called “Mullatto” or “Bi-Racial”.

5. Does he have a crush?
Yes

6. Does he have many friends?
He prefers to stay alone a lot of the time. All of the other Aresian children he knew of and trained with on Earth are dead. He believes himself to be the last. (Hence the “Omega” on his armor)

7. What planet is your character from?
As mentioned before, the planet Ares. What we call “Mars”. The continent of Thyrisia. (Near the Face)

8. Does your character like to eat?
He doesn’t look it, due to his youthfully high metabolism, but yes.

9. What's his favorite food?
Unknown at this time

10. What's his favorite drink?
Unknown at this time

11. Is your character annoying?
Depends on others opinion of him.

12. What annoys your character most?
Oppression, especially the strong using force against the weak.

13. Is your character loved?
He lives with his mom. They don’t get along too well, unfortunately.

14. Is your character hated?
Yes, by the other Aresian race that followed him to Earth. Known as the “Sheol”. We call them the “Chupocabra”.

15. Is he emo or goth?

Neither (Can Blacks and Mulattos be emo or goth?)

16. Is he straight, bisexual, or gay?
Straight

17. Is your character a virgin?
Yes, at the start of the story, at least.

18. Name three hobbies:
~ Listening to music
~ Training
~ Engineering

19. Is your character normal?
No, considering he really doesn’t quite have a grasp of Earth’s cultures

20. Is your character attractive?
Yes, in a “Bishonen” kind of way.

21. How does your character handle emotions?
Not very well. His health, generally suffers from his adjusting to Earth’s heavier gravity. Along with that, he’s prone to depression.

22. Does your character have other forms?
His appearance changes slightly when he engages his powers.

23. Does your character overreact?
At times.

24. Is your character a criminal?
No. Though he does operate independently of the law.

25. Does your character go to school?
Yes. He's a student at Parthenon Secondary School.

26. What's his IQ?
Genius level. He built his own vehicle and weapon.

27. Does your character have a disease or curse?
As mentioned above, Earth’s heavier gravity has a negative effect on his health. For the most part, he’s adjusted, but sometimes he succumbs to it. Plus he suffers from depression, which can interfere with his mission.

28. Is your character dead?
No

29. Does your character have a family?
He arrived on Earth with his mother at a young age (around the equivalent of 5 or 6 Earth yrs.) To his knowledge, his father died back on Ares, securing his escape.

30. Has he encountered any tragic times in life?
He is just old enough to remember the fall of the planet Ares.

31. What's the best time in your character's life?
Just as he was ready to abandon his cause, he encountered a girl; a new student at Parthenon High. He believed her to be the one he had been searching for, the “Muse of Oracles”.

32. If you could name one friend, which would you relate to your character?
Only myself. I modeled him from myself in my late teens.

33. Is your character single?
Yes, for now

34. Has he developed any relationships?
In the process.

35. Does he have any type of power?
As one of the warrior elite of the Aresian country of Thyrisia, Achilles is an “Achaeon Saint”.
Aside from superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes, he has the power inborn to all of those of the Achaeon Saint bloodlines. The power of “Oracle”.
The power of Oracle is the ability to envision an object or device and bring it into the physical world. His armor is one application of this ability.

36. Do you role-play your character?
Not yet.

37. Do you write about your character?
I’m presently...

Just to let you know, yes, I AM still here, just been busy. Plus, its hard getting hold of a scanner.
I definetly DO have stuff to post, lots of it, too. Of all the lousy luck, just as I was getting into the inks on "The Ares Gauntlet", my Tachikawa's both died, so it's back to crow-quills and felt-tips. On top of that, the paper I finished the last few pages on reacts badly to ink; it smears all over the damn place. Got some spray-fix, but that leaves a residue that gums-up my pens.
So I give up. I'll just have to redraw the damned pages. The good on that is; I can step up the art. The bad is that I'm unlikely to make it in time for the summer 'con. Shite.
On a side note, one o' the best lil comic shops in 'Sauga closed down. Managed to grab some sweet swag before the end at half-price.
R.I.P Comic Den.
So, yeah, expect to see some more posts from me real soon. I'm also likely to re-post all my M-rated fetish-art on a seperate account or something.

It's that time of year, again. Yup, It's the Christmas season, and the air is crispy-cold, which, for a Torontonian like me can only mean one thing:
MIGRAINE SEASON!!! YAY!!!
I tell ya, Tylenol should make me their spokesman!
Anyway, the pencils to "the Ares Gauntlet" are done, so now it's down to inks, screentones & letters. If I could just get these migraines to eff-off, I might actually manage to finish the book in this lifetime...
And to top it off, I've lost my 'net connection.
I dunno, I'll try to post up some my stuff ASAP.
On the good tip, though, there was a comicon here in Toronto back at the 1st weekend of December, & and I actually bumped elbows with a couple of my buddies from 'Shock Studios'!!
You should look for the nu comic "Crozonia" by my buddy, Jim Su & Beach Studios. Crozonia is, like, the sister-city of Atlantis. It's got Cyber-mermaids!
Talk to all-a-oona, soon, seen?

Boy, has it been that long? Here I sit, the Sunday after Canada Day'06; it must have been 3-4 months since I've posted anything.
Truth is, life's just been rough; dealing with depression, money (or lack of), poor health (As a typical Migraine sufferor, I tend to suffer from poor health that gets mistaken for sloth. >:{ ) Not to mention, I've been mending a broken heart!
I have been drawing, mind you, just REALLY inconsistantly. I've also been digging up a lot of old work. Strange how much change can be seen in my work. And where change is lacking...
Ah, well, check out my nu posts, feel free to critique me, and most of all, enjoy.

Ok, here's my contribution to the 'Tag' game started by NAWT.
My wierdest, or just plain bad habits, lesee...
1. I'll chear out loud when reading a REALLY good comic book/manga (Fist of the North Star, Naruto and the original run of Judge Dredd are surefire)
2.Habitual knuckle-cracking (Since I was 9!), I also crack my back, my ankles, my wrists, my elbows...
3. I'm under the impression I talk fast (people have trouble keeping up with me, and my mom thinks i have ADD or something...)
4. I walk fast (Actually, I just have a really long stride)
5. I start practicing Kung-Fu on the spot, with no warm-ups.
6.My room is LITTERED with mecha model kits and anime figurines!

THERE! Six things you probably wish I'd kept to myself! NYAH!

Gawd, this sux. The nu year WAS looking pretty good; I broke through a creative block concerning my comic. I was stuck with this sequence of pages I wanted to re-r\write, but wasn't sure how.
Then I just sat down one evening and began doodling some thumbnails, and the pages just fleshed themselves out.
But now tonight the same fuckin thing happened! I sdat down to do some sketches, and it just wasn't happening. I'm so pissed off!
See, I had to drop out of my course, 'cause I was refused funding, so now I gotta go back and research 3 different schools and a bunch of other paperwork to be eligable for said funding.
The whole long-ass process has me bummed-th-fuck-out, & it doesn't help that suddenly my mom went from being all supportive to outright acidic.
The whole thing sux ass!
Not to mention it had my copies of both of Jil Scott's albums! (That woman has an angel's pipes!) What can I say? The 5th track on "Beautifully Human" brought me to tears the first time I heard it. ( Yeah, Okay, so I'm a big sentimental sap. Sue me!)

During a better part of the 90's, I was a member of 'Shock Studio' a Toronto-based independant comic studio (Anyone out there remember 'Culture Comics'?). It was doing, well, okay and I was learning the industry first-hand, till the studio went to the four winds in '97 (Barely months before I found I was going to be a father! See "Malaika")
Now, whenever I do get the chance to visit a comicon, I tend to beeline straight to the Indy comics section, cause I want 2 C what's going on.
Now, here's my beef. There R too many indys who just aren't serious enough, that just do it 'For fun' and have no intention of ever going pro. Now, I know first hand how hard it is to make it into the field, but, it doesn't help if you go in with the attitude of "Well, I'll never be as good as (Insert Flavor-of-the-month here), so why even try?"
Heck, I'll tell you why; simple love of the art form! Besides most of those great-and-powerful artists over at Marvel & D.C started out exactly where you & I are now!
Well, to wrap it up, it easier to say, "Anything worth doing, is worth doing AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!"
BTW, check out "Ant" by Mario Gully. It started out under an indy label, but is with Image, now. Great damn story, great character!

It seems to me these days that kids that can draw, cartoons in particular, develop an in-school fan base, even in high school. This I think is due to the long-overdue popularity of anime and manga.
While I had gained a version of this kind of fame back in grades 3 & 4 (this is way back in 1979 &'80), I found that in high school I was mostly misunderstood and even ridiculed.
I sometimes think I was born in the wrong time.
Is my perception off on this, or are high school fanboys/girls the new 'in-crowd'? Or are sci-fi 'nerds' still the target of trekkie-styled ridicule?
