So my life went waaay off the rails right after I tried to go back to Acrobats and I didn't make anything for a while.  Just getting back into it now with some shorter stories.  One of those you'll be able to see in an anthology coming out late summer called Anything That Loves.  It will be sold through Northwest Press at conventions and online; I will post the link once I have it.

I am brainstorming new projects and in the meantime just doing little doodles and tiny comics here and there.  Thank you for reading!

I pretty much took 2012 off to pursue offline art gigs and indulge in life.  It certainly affected how active I was online, but I don't regret lazing about. The past 12 months was a year of false starts: five projects I contributed comics or art to have yet to see the light of day, and some of them probably never will.  That was pretty discouraging, but the lot of an artist, I suppose.

I've also been too bogged down with meaningless personal stuff which I won't post about here but I'm sure will end up on my Tumblr.

I am going to hang around the Prism Comics booth now and again between doing my rounds.  I have two signings there: Friday at 5pm and Saturday at 4pm.  Plus, I will be participating in the panel THE BAD AND THE BOLD: PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES WITH LGBT CHARACTERS at 6:30pm on Friday.  I will not be at the con Sunday so if you'd like to say hi, the signings are your best bet!

Oh yeah, and re: Acrobats. I'm on a deadline for an illustration for another project, hence the delay.  I just started inking the next page so it should be up soonish.

Horace Spiegelman artbook is now in my shop!  It's a joint project of love between myself and Ms. :iconsocar:, who is a super talented illustrator and lovely person.

2. SF Zinefest is this weekend! My first con since Fanime, and one I've been hugely looking forward to both dealing at and attending. Zinefest is at the SF County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, Lincoln Way & 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122. It opens to attendees at 11 am. I have a half-table (sharing with someone called "Untold Tales"): #50. It is on the same wall as the entrance, to the right. Woo!! I have stickers and magnets. :D

I am sorry for the unexpected hiatus on the comic.

My schedule is STILL crazy both at work and in life so I still don't have a steady day for updates, but let's just make it Mondays because today is a Monday. I have one and a half pages done ahead of this week, but my brush died on me so that's it for now. I can only afford to buy those things with the coupons Blick sends me and the one I have doesn't take effect until April 8th, so no brush 'till then!

Because we nerdy artsy comics kids need a magazine like Comickers but in English with a more global focus.
Because we need something that has absolutely nothing to do with superheroes and is friendly to all genres.
Because I love to see my peers bring their projects to life.
Because I want to see my artist friends' works published in one cool place like this one.
And because I got a horse in this race myself!!
