So, once the shock and horror of it all wear off, I'll be getting back into homework and procrastinating again. OH BOY!

A good thing for me is that half of my courses this year are arts, so that should be pretty fun, or at least a pretty good time waster. The course I'm most excited for is my Graphic Arts course, which I went through a half year of suffering to get. It better be worth it, goddammit.

Yes yes, I have returned with many a story to tell and a Killer headache. Actually, it's gone now, but it was so bad that last night I was actually going to go to the hospital, but I didn't. I didn't want to go and I was all delirious and everything. I kept jigging my foot and leg around going "Nononononono....No nonononono..." while Grabbing my head. I'd thrash around and all that too. It was really really bad. I thought I was going insane. It felt like someone was gouging my left eye out from the inside with a spoon and hitting the inside of my left brow with a hammer. I think the only thing that conked me out was the fact that I probably took enough pain-killers to knock out a baby elephant. :/ They didn't ease the pain, it just knocked me out eventually.

The plane ride back was rather eventful, I guess. First of all, it was delayed 2 hours, which was annoying, but knowing that we could stop when we landed -they had to fix the brakes- was comforting and worth the wait. We were in a plane that had touchscreens on the back of the seat in front of you so you could watch movies and all that, but mine had to be the ONLY one in the WHOLE plane that DIDN'T WORK. I had to spend 3 and a half hours amusing myself by eavesdropping on the 3 drunk guys beside me, which actually was pretty amusing. They sat in their seats and ordered beer after beer, swearing loudly and talking about god-knows-what. Then one of them politely tapped my arm and asked "Hi, may I see your sketchbook?" So I let them, and they were actually pretty nice. It seemed like they immediately sobered up to talk to Ushishi and I and then when they finished, they lapsed back into being drunk. They were also flirting with one of the stewardesses who gave each of them a free beer at the end of the flight. Because they were "Well Behaved". But whatever.

ANYWAYS. WHO HERE HAS HEARD OF THE GAME PORTAL? _{thecakeisalie. *is crushed by weighted aperture cube falling through a well-placed portal*}

If you haven't heard of it, you are a horrible person. If you haven't played it, I can understand that, but you MUST play it. It is AMAZING. I also love the song at the end. I won't spoil anything for you, but you're in a laboratory for a company called "Aperture Science" and you're a test subject. You have to make it through these tests with the aid of a gun which can shoot 2 different portals. You go in one, you come out the other. It's amazingly cool. It really invokes thorough thought in some puzzles. It's definitely a strategy game. However, there is a little taste of the violence we all crave. There are little androids that shoot at you if they see you, and, if they hit you and you look behind you, there's HUGE blood splatter on the wall behind you. It's pretty awesome.

So, a little update on stuff I'm doing this summer:

On the 15th of July until the 23rd(?) ~Ushishi and I will be off to Newfoundland! So we might not be on then. I mean, sure, they have computers there, but we'll probably be busy doing something else.

Unfortunately, my freedom won't last forever. I'm doing another mandatory course online this summer, but it's much easier than civics. It's the counterpart to civics, the other 0.5 credit I need, CAREERS. While Civics was about government and human rights, Careers is about how to write a resumé and finding out what you wanna be when you get older and such.

And, later on in the summer (late August), I'm going to band camp again. I really didn't wanna go last year, but I had lots of fun and made some really great friends that even today I still contact. We're gonna be in the same cabin, so that'll be awesomesauce.

I'm also teaching myself how to play this song on the piano: [link] . I don't play piano AT ALL. Never had a lesson or anything, but I started teaching myself a week ago, and, surprisingly, I'm REALLY good at it. I just have to work on co-ordinating the left and right hands, and I'll have mastered it. 8D

J'irai au Terre-Neuve en Juillet!

Well, today I had an "adventure" going home. I take 3 forms of transportation to get to and from school every day: The streetcar, the subway, and the bus. EVERY DAY. And the streetcar system that takes me down to right around my street is really crap at being on time, so whenever I see one, I rush it. So, I'm making my way up from the subway platform and I'm on the escalator when the lady in front of me decides to suddenly STOP walking up and WAIT. Now, that peeved me, because everyone usually respects the "walk left, stand right" rule (or vice versa, I can't remember). So, when I make it to the streetcar platform, I find that there's a streetcar waiting for me, but the front doors have just closed. When the front doors have closed, you have about 5 seconds to get on the streetcar. I'm not very keen on waiting about a half hour for the next car, so I run for the back doors, and they let the crippled guy in front of me in (and by crippled, I mean he had a shit-load of gauze wrapped around his finger, that's it), but when I step on the steps up to the car, the driver decides to close the door. ON MY FACE. Not IN my face, no. ON it. I do something along the lines of going "GAH!" and the driver opens the door again because there's an "obstacle" in the way. When the doors open, I'm still rather stunned from it closing on my eye socket/temple area so I kinda stay put. Only when I have enough sense to try to get on the streetcar again does the driver close the door AGAIN. ON MY FACE. TWICE! After that, I made it onto the streetcar relatively safely, but everyone on the bus decides to laugh at me. That pissed me off even more, so I give them all a REALLY angry look, like and they get scared and shut up. When I get home, I look in the mirror, and find that I have a HUGE black oil stripe across the right side of my face. That I can't wash off.

JOY.

<sub>1. I actually enjoy math sometimes. Especially when I understand it. It's probably my favourite academic class.

2. I'm pretty sure that my mental state is extremely fragile at times, and I tend to put lots of stress on it by doing too much and not getting enough sleep.

3. I absolutely ADORE softball. I think it's SO fun to play.

4. I've joined an all-female softball league that starts soon. My practices/games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30-11 pm.

5. I've been smashed in the temple with an aluminum baseball bat at full force. I'm actually still scared of it. I was trying to find my other baseball bat, and I found that one. When I saw it, I screamed and ran away.....

6. I can be extremely unobservant at times. I think I get it from my dad. I won't notice that someone did something new or got their braces off until about a month afterwards

7. I have varying tastes in music. My sister is 5 years older than me, so whatever she listened to, I did as well. Because of this, my favourite bands at the moment are System of a Down, Disturbed and Red Hot Chili Peppers, all of which she introduced me to.

8. I have a huge crush on a stoner boy that I know. He's really funny and nice.

9. But he has a girlfriend. That makes me sad. Even if he didn't, I still don't think I'd have the guts to tell him how I feel about him.

10. I speak English fluently, but I also know quite a bit of French, and I've been learning Japanese for a good while. I think it's been about 4 years. I'm trying to see if I can get a prior learning Credit in Japanese, actually.

It's due tomorrow, btw. Yeah.

I'm not outta the park yet, though. I have a geography assignment due on Monday, a weird Tache Finale from our abusive dickhead of a French Teacher, an oral presentation outline due SOMETIME next week in English, a self portrait due next Thursday or Friday, 2 art projects to worry about after that, math homework, and Civics.

Oh, and Science stuff too.

I think that bridges about all the subjects I'm currently taking, except for band. OH HOORAH. Whatever. I'm not real worried about them, to be honest. My marks are in the high 80's, 90's. My mark in math is like a 98, so I have nothing to worry about.

Oh, and I'm hearing strange squeaking noises. They're very quiet. It sounds like a constant mini-tone of squirrels dying. Over and over. It loops. I think it might be the oven. That sounds realistic.

Didn't have school today, thank god. Next weeks a four day week, as is the week after that. 4-day easter weekend FTWWW. I'm prolly heading up north into the boonies for easter, though.

Final exams can't come any faster. Seriously. All I need to do is survive. Then I can get my amazing Graphic Arts course.

But then again, kids would be pleading mental frailty like no tomorrow if that was possible.

Maybe I should just crawl into my emo corner and die.

Number ONE: I'm still sick. I was sick all through Florida, but my cough only really got bad in the night when I was in the Hotel Room for some reason. But, I'm still sick and popping Ricolas out the ass. And guess what? THEY DON'T BLOODY WORK. Now the reason why I'm still popping them is probably because they just taste good..... Oh. And. Don't get me started on Cough Syrup. It tastes like Death with a cherry mask and DOESN'T WORK. Not one bit. Well, that is utter balls.

My friends told me that I looked as if I was about to faint. apparently I was real pale and shaky looking.

In other news, I've gotten my non-traditional Visual Arts mark. A 94. Mhmm.

But, shiet man, do they have to give us this much homework? (Not Visual Art, everything else) It seems as if my English teacher has a pole up her ass at all times, because she gives us constant projects that get weirder and weirder. At least I'm not there for the due date. In Science, we're doing.....*jarring chord* SEXUAL REPRODUCTION. But we have a quiz on Asexual reproduction on Tuesday. I seriously think that my science teacher is losing the will to live. He actually threatened us on Wednesday. He said, and I quote, "If I could strangle half of you right now, I would."

....Needless to say, we shut up.

He also facepalmed when he asked what the benefits to not having to find a mate are, and I yelled out "IF YOU'RE UGLY?" ....well, it's true.

So, yesterday, I had to go out for a little bit. Just in the neighbourhood, so no boxing day rush. (Thank god). I was walking to the stairs to my house, and I slip on a hidden piece of ice and fall REALLY hard on the concrete step on my right hip. Oh my god, it hurt so bad I almost puked, right there. I think I fell on my right arm too, because it really hurts above the elbow. Right now, hip-wise, it hurts to walk, to go up stairs, to basically move around. Even having my loose pants resting on my hip hurts. It doesn't look bruised, but since I hit it on such a place where it's mainly bone, I've probably bruised the bone. No, wait, I see a little black line developing. I can't even sleep on my right side, which I usually do. My right arm is also EXTREMELY weak at the moment. I have to use my left arm to support myself, because my right arm just collapses.

TlDr; (but you should have read)

I had NO idea that that ice was there, and it has temporarily fucked the system.

But, damnnnn this week is gonna be a BITCH. Well, maybe just tuesday. Tuesday, I have a test in basically every period except for non-traditional. Gahhhh. I have lots of homework too. Math (which I'm getting a 99-100 in at the moment, so I don't really need to worry), French (I have to type out a paragraph), English (Finish a book and do the assigned questions), Geography (I have to do this Ecological footprint test and reflect on it), Practice my flute, Study for the science test on tuesday (Well, quiz.... I think), I have an Essay to do In-Class on tuesday, (Basically a test, to get us prepared for exams in January). Oh crap. I just remembered that I have a math test on wednesday. *headdesk*

Now, I have to do all this WHILE doing two art projects. A Media vs. Reality project, and a project where I have to design and build a shoe.

But HEY! On the bright side, I think I get a half day on Friedey. I hope I survive the week. Hah, I haven't really had a 100% full week of school since the end of September.

I learned that my sister's boyfriend is moving to Australia to be on a hockey team. That's all the way across the world! He's leaving in about a week and a half. You may think "Oh, he's just your sister's boyfriend, how much does that matter?" But you haven't met him. He's really, really nice and funny. I basically call him my big brother.

UPDATE: He's told me he's staying around another 20 days, so hopefully he'll stay for christmas. He's still going to Australia, and he'll be gone for 8 months, I think. Until their season's over.

My school life is pretty awesomes. I already have a nice group of friends. In fact, on friday, we went to the movies. It was nice. Today at lunch, one of my guy friends caught a wasp in his GAYtorade bottle and started whipping it around the patio of the Pizza Pizza we were at on purpose. Every 10 or so seconds, he'd look inside and say "Nope, it's still swimming" and whip it around some more. Isn't he a nature lover?

Also....My french teacher had a freudian slip the other day. We were doing pronounciation excersises and we were asking why, since all of us had done french for at least 5 years. He replies with "Well, we need to get your mouths and tongues working in a french way." Our faces:

OHOH! ANDAND!

In geography, I predicted continental shift. *insert self-satisfied smirk and nod here* we were in groups and we had to draw the world on an orange, peel it so the continents stay intact, and flatten it as best we could on a piece of paper. Well, some orange got stuck on the peel and when we flattened it, it smushed. AND the marker we drew it with rubbed off. Damn those dollar store permanent markers! We had to redraw it, which shifted everything about 3bazillion kilometres to the east. Then we realised: "Oh shit we forgot to draw greenland." "NEVER FEAR," I say, "FOR GREENLAND IS RIGHT HERE" I point to a largish smudge of orange gunk. "AND HERE, AND HERE." I point to two smaller smudges of orange beside it. "BUT OF COURSE," I say, "THIS IS AFTER WORLD WAR 3 AND CONTINENTAL SHIFT, WHICH IS WHY EVERYTHING IS FARTHER THATAWAY THAN IT SHOULD BE."

So, guys. I believe I have predicted the future. Greenland is gonna be hit by a missile and turn into orange juice. Run awaaaaaay!

.....Can anybody tell me what the word "Oscellation" means? My firefox is telling me that I'm not spelling it right. Could somebody tell me how to spell it first and then tell me what it means? I really don't feel like using the 6-kilo Dictionary to help me with this.


....I think i'm also getting an art project on monday, as well. Probably. I'm enrolled in the school for a visual arts majour, and there's an art show coming up in October, and everybody makes it into the art show, so i'm expecting an art project if not on monday, really really soon.

Not REALLY, REALLY sick, but I have a cough. I woke up at 2 in the morning and began to cry because it was so bad, at first. Fortunately, I had some robitussin and some fennel tea before going back to sleep, and that must have done the trick. My cough was a really bad dry cough that ate my voice and made it all raspy, and now it seems that whatever was in my chest is breaking up and it doesn't hurt _{as much...} to cough now. My voice is back, and I'm looking forward to going to my school's orientation day on Wednesday. For me, school starts in a week and 2 days, but my first day is only about an hour to an hour and a half long. I have a really cool Nirvana shoulder bag that my sister got me for my birthday, and I'll be using that as a backpack.

Oh, awesum newz. My parents bought me a Nirvana T-shirt and an Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt. LONG LIVE THE METAL.

We went into town to watch the Canada Day fireworks. It was pretty sick. Everything was loud and big. it was at a golf course so there was a great view, because everything was really flat. Then we were held up about an hour getting out of the parking lot (which was actually a driving range) because the police were checking to see if people were drinking and driving. Because ALL Canadians drink, right? XD

Have any of you been tubing before? It's FUN, FUN, and oh, did i mention FUN? you're lying on an inflatable tube, being pulled at high speeds over a body of water. Ushishi leaned too far forward on one of the tubes and uber splashed me in the face about 5 times. Joy. Hold on for dear life, friends! it's bumpy!

I skipped school and went to Canada's Wonderland to ride rollercoasters and such. I rode the BEHEMOTH!! It is GOD! The best part was the line up was only about 20 minutes! No lie! You sit down in a chair-type thing and workers clamp this thing over your legs. They give you absolutely NO wiggle-room. Oh, also, that's all that keeps you in your seat. no seat belt, no harness, no nothing. My feet didn't even touch the ground, I'm so short XD then, you go up the roller coaster. You're basically lying down. It's so freaky! especially because I'm afraid of heights. when you go down, you go at almost a 90 degree angle! The speed of it makes you feel weightless! It was amazing! They took a picture of my friend and I on it and we look SO funny! we went into the shop to look at our picture and ran out laughing our asses off!

Muahahahahaha. Fireworks are fun to play with. especially those ones that you put on the ground, light the fuse and then they spazz all over the place. Ushishi and I have officially named them "spazzy things". when we asked for them at the store, the store owner laughed, but knew what we meant.
