It makes me wonder how I'm going to cope with my future career as an artist. (which is my dream since 12) Reality really has come down on me. I always thought i was clear what I want to do. But now I think about it, drawing...it's still just a hobbie, a really really BIG hobbie. lol I don't want to come to dislike drawing because of the pressure of work....-__-

So anyways, any comissioners that are waiting, sorry I'll have to do them after xmas. Secret Santa comes first now. I've also promised to make a CG tutorial, but by the look of things it won't be coming any soon. =__= sorry guys.

On another note, anyone want me to do a FAQ? (I think it's when people ask me question and i answer them, right?) haha, so shameless of me, not that i'm popular, probably not many people would ask questions. Regarding prices, the previous round was cheap and I realised it was not worth the effort I put in, therefore I decided to double to price. ie. $3 before would be $6 now. If you have comissioned me before and wondered why the prices have gone up, this is the reason.

Here's the updated list of price.

*plus $3 for every additional character, Max. 2 characters per picture.

~$20.00 USD for 3/4 (ie. knees up) to full body, digital coloured with simple background or no background. e.g. [link]

You know, by 25th this month, i would have been on DA for two years. O__o;; a lot has happened...hehe. on that day, i would probably upload a history of my artwork since the age of 10, XD just for the laugh. (i mean, if you are interested, that is.)

*sigh* i think i'm getting worse at drawing. It seem my number of favs are going down. (yeah, popularity doesn't matter...etcetc.) but that's probably an indication, right? so if you find my style changing or something wrong, don't hesitate to point it out. I'm eager to improve.

-O- mock exams in 4.5 weeks. although i have comparatively less exams than others, it still puts quite a bit of pressure on me and thus squashing the art inspiration out of me. I don't even think i have time to find inspirations in life. T__T

Actually I dislike using DA as a blog, after all, it's for displaying art, right? but i feel like my page's turning more into a blog. =__= ; perhaps i should get real blog? *sigh*

yosh! I know, it's been a week! But I've finally got the time to sit here and write something about it. First I must conclude a few regrets...

1. I was too shy to go around meeting everyone, which was a shame...>__<
2. I bought too little...=~=
3. I didn't take enough photos!! O_o
4. I didn't even know my camera could film!!! I could've recorded the whole on stage performance instead of having these blurred still photos! Arggh!
5. We could've printed twice the prints and make twice the profit...lol Everything was sold too soon.

Anyways! That was my first time so i've learnt my lessons...lol.

sorry, no photos here, as i don't have a subscription on DA. (*nudge nudge wink wink* Anyone give me a subscription??! lol *just joking* my camera wasn't good anyway, everything was a blur! @_@)

The day started off pretty well, the place was so fancy!! *o* five posters were gone before we finished setting up. Another regret was...i didn't even join the group artist photo...T__T So anti-social, i am. m(_ _)m

Then I was doing comissions one after one, which pretty much kept me busy the whole day. (guess i was just slow. lol) I did so many Honey-Senpai pictures! XD (from Ouran High)

I went around once, and bought a poster from the awesome

, and finally a phone charm from

. I swear i missed out quite a lot of awesome artists...wonder why i didn't see them. Only knew about them afterwards when reading other people's journal about DO.

The on stage band was soo cool. All the songs sounded familiar, i think there were a few from bleach and naruto. My favourite song Eternal Snow from Fullmoon was played as well! >W<

The cosplayers were just amazing! O,o I took a photo of every cosplayer that went before my table...lol. There was a kakashi guy who looked soo cool...(he posed for me as well) *o*

The end of the day everyone was pretty high, LMAO, my neighbours were pretty much yelling $1 posters!! Etc etc.

So! Thank you to all those that took comissions from me and bought our stuff. I appreciate it with all my heart. It was my first time selling my art work so it meant significantly.

talk about inspiration...nope. no inspiration in real life. maybe i'm just growing older, all those magical things i see in daily life are somehow gone. I remember i used to look at a flower and imagine some kind of angel sitting in it and then I'd eagerly draw it down. Now everything i see is so bland. someone help...this feeling is suffocating, it's like my drawing skills are slipping away right in front of my eyes.

There's a Doujin in July, we are each suppose to prepare 12 pieces for calendar prints. Now i look at all those drawings in my gallery, only about 5 is what i considered presentable. Yes, i have the urge of deleting everything in my gallery.

And then there's my style...um...so it seems most people prefer my traditional than my digital? I have to admit, i do like traditional better. But...I SPENT $200 ON THAT TABLET!! T__T maybe i'll develop more towards traditional in the future. (it's weird, coz most people have a consistant style whether it's traditional or digital, but i found my style changes entirely between those two.) Just wondering, do people mind me skipping from style to style?

ooh, just another note, I'm watching Bleach at the moment. IT'S SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!! It's so good that I actually want to draw fan art of it. (and that's something coz i hate drawing fan arts) So yeah, next time you see my art it's probably gonna be a bit shonen. In fact, i'm kinda sick of all those lovey dovey shojo...a change would be good.

This is a multi-point (?) perspective....i think. I read somewhere you can have more than 2 vanishing points as long as they are on the same horizon line...(or something like that) but something doesn't look quite right in that picture. It's suppose to be two girls walking off two paths of railway. (and i just realised the railway's too small.=__= ) Maybe i'm drawing the girls in wrong perspective. The left railway seem high in the air or something.

Please help if you can! And i'd be glad to know any tutorials available. ^-^

Hiya to all New Zealanders, especially people in Auckland! There's an anime convention held in Hyatt Hotel, Auckland on 25th July, and I'm likely (not confirmed, but very likely) to have a table there with

(table B5 and B6 to be exact). This is so exciting as it will be my first time to go to proper anime conventions (the only one i went to was Armegedon which was total crap mixed with american cartoons and movies) and hopefully i'll get to meet more people. ^_^

As a side note, we are selling our artworks there, and we are deciding between books or calendars. Please help us choose! I just thought calendar's more functional coz no many people would actually like our arts so much that they'd buy an art book of it. -_-; I'm probably using most of the art works i did this year as part of the prints. sorry everyone! I know I've recently gain a number of new watchers and I've been bombarding everyone with craps and journals, you must be disappointed, I'll try to produce works of higher level in the future. This is a new piece I'm working on, hopefully I'll get time to CG it. ^_^

On another note, school have started for me two days ago and I don't think I'll have time to reply all messages, notes etc etc. So sorry to all friends and watchers if you haven't recieved my reply yet, I don't think I'll have time to do them soon.

Two days ago was our Subject Confirmation Day, it was so stuffed up, the Deans didn't get everyone's subject sorted and I'd have to wait FOUR BLOODY (sorry for swearing, there goes Aiki's "good-girl" image...lol) hours for my turn...=_= and guess what? I ended up being dropped from the top english class to a normal one coz it clashed with physics...>_< !!!! *fume fume* Anyway, well, during that four BORING hours me and

Phew!! Finished my last exam two days ago...watched DVD the whole day yesterday, should start on my drawing again!!! Hoohooo!! >O< almost 4 line arts to CG...AND MY TABLET STUFFS UP!! It's really frustrating. Whenever i try to ink the eyes, tablet stops working. It's just THAT particularly sensitive area...which prevented me from continuing my work...it's soo annoying!! three weeks time, yep. after that, i'll be free of all exams, every single one of them!!!! And i could draw and draw and draw and draw and draw...

Missed using my tablet. When drawing my recent doodle (Wind of spring) it felt soooo good. the smoothness of lines and colors...>O<

My stats of this month is pitiful. lol. and I've got about 975 deviations and 341 messages now. Phew...gotta catch up with all that DA stuff when i get back.

Today is last day of school, (only two spells, and then assembly/prize giving - I am one of the prize winners...OWO don't know what it is though, probably information management...lol - it's apparently a cabbage subject anyway)

I'm at a state where I over studied and am sort of paralised...=_= don't know what to study anymore, i think i'm quite thorough with all the stuff. It's English I'm worried about.

exactly 20 days till my b-day. wohoo! (2nd b-day on DA!!) This time I really really really feel old. Gonna be 16, and been drawing crap all my life. lol. Such a shame, I should at least attempt to draw something AMAZING before I turn 16. Arina Tanemura and Yuu Watase first published when 18...O_o I'm competing against time now. Want to publish before 18 too. (well, actually my current aim is to at least FINISH a manga - Dandelions.)

So, sorry! I won't be here till two month later or something. (exams are about one month) If I ever sneaked on DA, PLEASE WARN ME get back to STUDY!!! hiya! Phew! Mock exams finished!!!! WAAAHOOOOO! *jumps up and down* ok, at least that was how i was two days ago. The results were back and...TOT I did worse than I expected. Well, actually the whole year students did pretty bad...=_= I even got a few achieves...(it's four levels: not achieved, achieved, merit and excellence) I got so many merits...and only about 7 excellences...T_T

oops, sorry, you are not here to hear me moaning about how bad my grades are, lol. I actually check on DA 10 minutes everyday, and omg! I catch some new artist in the popular section EVERYDAY!!! It's like, there are infinite number of them....T_T that's just depressing, it seems like i'll never be good enough.

hiya! Aiki desu!! Yes, it has been exactly a year since i joined DA, (actually it was 25th august, but i only got time around to write this, I was going to draw a thank you gift, i even had a lineart, but didn't have time to CG it) so this is like, my 1st DA b-day! lol. So much to thank for...where do i start...

It's just so great here, i've met a lot of friends and supporters, it's Deviant Art that finally told me maybe my dream to become a manga artist is possible. Ever since 11 i'd put "manga ka" to be my life-long goal, and at 14, i was starting to doubt because:

1)i don't know japanese
2)i don't have the money
3)i'm still not good enough
4)i don't have the tools
5)about 90% of the population here haven't even heard of manga...

and lots other reasons etc etc.

But deviant art proved that some people actually like my art, and maybe some even understand it. I realised that i don't have to be in japan to be a manga artist, maybe i'll work as a freelance, publishing on internet, and if i get popular enough, i can get published for real! (ok, that's pretty far off, aiki's in her dreamland now...) anyway, so deviant art really has given me hope and something to live for in life. I'd draw more because i know some one out there's going to like it. when i draw, i'd think, what would watchers think of it, how would they interpret it. I'm no longer just drawing for myself. ^0^

And a big big big x1000 thank you to all you watchers out there! The ones that started watching me from the beginning and the ones that watched recently, every SINGLE one of you, you are the people that's making my dream come true. I know I hardly reply to any comments or even thank favs, but you have to understand i appreciate all these from the bottom of my heart. (i'm just not good with communication, that's all.)

Hm...in relation to what I said last time, i should explain why i'm so down, and thank you everyone! for cheering moi up, even though you probably have no idea what i'm on about.

It was like this, (geez, how do i start) we were suppose to complete a porfolio for art as a whole year exam, and I did fine at the beginning. Then the last two days, the teacher kept telling me my work is "dead, boring, fiddly, wishy-washy". (she uses funny words...) Well, i mean, drawing so many manga, i guess it did effected a little on my painting style. I sort of get her point, but it's so difficult to do what she wants. Firstly, we are drawing abstract art, and I'm no one to draw those. I mean, they are just so, ABSTRACT! You can't even tell what's what, a few splashes of paint, and crayon...what the heck. =_=??? I'm one of those that need structures.

So neverthless, i tried drawing what she wants. Then she said "take ideas from your previous works on the porfolio", so I did, and she was still like "LOOK AT THE BIG SHAPES!" What???? What does she mean by big shapes, me see no shapes...T_T

She also complaint about me "not painting", i guessed she mean making brush marks. Recently i've taken a style of smoothing the paint, which, obviously, was not her liking. I dabbed a few strokes on, and she told me, "you are still a bit scared to use paint, aren't you. Right, if you can't do it, you can't. You did it last year. Never mind. Stick that piece on and start another one."

That did it, and i just felt tears swelling in my eyes. Right there in the classroom, embarassing huh? I shouldn't have let it got to me, it even sould riddiculous to myself for crying over something so insignificant. But i've analysed that I cried because 1)I'm disappointed in myself, because I can't draw something I was able to draw before, 2)I'm depressed that even the teacher has given up and was disappoint in me. (i'm no teacher's pet, but art's so important to me. In fact, the only reason I took art was because it's the only subject close to manga)

While what makes me even more sad was the teacher compared my work with my friend, saying she was still "able to paint", guess i let jealousy got to me too. I have to admit, her works are pretty amazing...T_T we were the top art students last year...and now...TOT man, this is so stupid. so so stupid. I know if i chose to be an artist in the future, something like this will probably happen so often....but...

But then just two days ago it says someone tried to access my account and I need to verify my details so my account can be secured. It asked me to add a credit card (don't know why i need to do that, can't they just send the money to my bank account?), but here's the problem:

I didn't have a credit card issued by the bank account I signed up paypal with, so I used a completely different visa card, then it said "this card is denied...blah blah blah" (can't remember) and i was really confused...

I asked the stuff, and they said "the problem is resolved", but no, it's not.

I just need to ask, does the credit card or debit card I add have to link back to the bank account I used?? This is really really confusing me.

And in addition, it says if you haven't add a credit card within 72 hours your account will be suspended. What the heck?? It's really freaking me out...O____o

I really really really hope some paypal users can help me on this...

Yes, as i've promised, i'll start a coloring contest. I've never seen my artwork being colored in by another people apart from my one friend who used to have "manga sessions" with me. (unless you count my 6 year old cousin who pretty much scribbles on my manga...=_= )So, this is very very exciting for me, and hopefully everyone else...haha.

UUNNN! >.< Aiki's been thinking and thinking and thinking, and still can't decide...T__T

SAI costs $64 NZD to buy (per license, which means i won't be able to use it on another computer, and i think i'll get a new PC in a few years time), and i could afford that from my paypal account, but...eenn...i put so much effort into drawing comissions to get that few dollars...But then SAI IS really good, i mean, i could cope with Photoshop too, but it just doesn't seem so good. (or maybe i could do as good on photoshop after lots and lots of practise??) But SAI!!!! @~@ Is it worth it?? is it is it?!!

Another solution is i could start doing comissions again, and take about $10 per pic, so i just need to draw...SIX pictures...T__T

Hi! Yes, what the title says. I see that recently i have many anime artists who could all CG better than me. It seem like i just CAN"T get the hang of CG color...T_T So i'm starting the wonder whether i just lack in that skill or my style is simply unsuitable for CG colour. As a solution, I will have a colouring contest (i've recently drawn a line art) to see whether i could get my hand on a CG partner. ^-^ If the winner is unavailable that's fine too, i just need someone to TEACH me how to do it. =_=

On another hand, I still want to have that horiscope contest, but i'm afraid i might not be popular enough yet. lol. currently on 194 watchers, the contest will start when i get to 200. Which might happen sometime during this month. oKie? Just for convience, can participants tell me when they would have time so i could arrange the contest dates better.

lol, another depressing entry. Sorry guys, i must sound pretty emo right now. Anyway, i haven't drawn in a week, literally. A WEEK!! AAAH! @__@

And...I don't seem to be improving at all!! T__T In fact, i think my postures are decreasing. wat...??? Am i just growing old?? NOOOOO!! Plus, i seem to be relying more and more on computer, that's pretty bad too, i guess. It's scary when i tried to draw something and feel like "omg, i can't actually draw that." I haven't felt like that in a long time. Used to think as long as i try, i could draw anything, kk, guess that's not true then. Everyone else seem to improve so much!

On another matter, regarding (...i've done so much formal writing for homework that i'm actually speaking formally in a journal...???!!) the contest poll i did, it didn't seem like many people really wanted to do it.. (true, the prize isn't very desiring i suppose.) But..!! I had this awesome idea the other day, how about we base it on a theme of "HORISCOPES"?? wow, it's spell one, we are doing Information Management, again. lol. Well, suppose to, but our computers are stuffed, we can only go on internet but can't save work. haha, how cool is that? free spell again. Yup, aah...kinda bored. there's this random rap music coming from the computer next to me, =_=

anyway, i downloaded SAI last night, coz everyone seem to be using it, and i've seen some pretty amazing works from that...and...IT'S SO CUTE! (wow, where did "cute" come from?") It's like, this mini version of photoshop, and in addition, it has these specialised brushes so i don't have to adjust it every time like on photoshop. The program is also smaller than photoshop, so I hope my computer don't stuff up as often now. AND AND! The lines are actually..SMOOTH~ O_o i think it's very suitable for people like me who are incompetent tablet users. lol. But then again, if i wan't to get something really precise like the eyes, it's pretty hard...the lines automatically adjusts themselves.

...I'm overflooded with homework this week, actually. There's a science test tomorrow about electricity, and then this Information Management project is supposed to be due this friday, haha, the project's on designing your own business card, etc...

damn, the computer just worked again. kk, catcha later then.

waaah. i just did this to make my page more active. lol. (aiki being her usual selfish person...) Seriously, my page is dead. Actually I'll ramble on about life so if you are bothered please read on. I just won the club contest, another 3 months of free sub, lol. Now i'm subbed till feb 2009. sounds ages away doesn't it? (but time passes fast, sadly...) (yep, so strange, but we got tuesday off as well.) I'm just gonna stay home and watch TV all day. lol Sooo into Taiwanese dramas lately!!

T__T we are starting our annual speech in English this week. yes, the most dreaded moment of the year...Speeches, aren't they complicated things??? this time we have to chose our own topic based on the short stories we've studied in class...well, here's my topic:

Can one's identity in society prevent them from achieving their dreams?

I'm argueing no. It can NOT be prevented!!! Yaaa....but....huh, i don't know wat my points are. yup, as you can tell, i'm reaching towards insanity...*cuckooing*
if anyone can help please please comment!!!! ^__^ Would be gladly appreciated. (damn, i'm getting everyone to do my homework, lol. well, exercises your brain i guess...)

Ok...another unfortunate thing in life...Graphics. (no. not graphics as in making graphics in photoshop, but Graphics as in the subject i take in school.) You see, i haven't taken graphics last year, and i'm simply doing it this year because there's no other options. (It seems that everyone in the class have taken graphics last year...T___T me<--odd one out) and as far as this year goes, i pretty much didn't know wat i was doing....until...

Teacher:"Wow, you've got beautiful sketches!! O_o...well, it's just that...um...you are missing the point."

Me:"oh..."

Teacher:"wat teacher did you have last year?"

Me:"i didn't do it last year." =_=

Teacher:"....................O_o"

So now i probably have to do everything again, and there's only two weeks left till the project is finished!!! (with speech going on and stuff...arggh!!!!)

PS. i changed my feature to Butterfly, yes. it was once really popular for some reason. It was done before i got my tablet, the color does seem a little amazing now i think about it....

Yes, We've finally got ProjectCherry's entry! I'm updating everyone with this so people can check her out!

Xp. sorry to sound freaky in the title, lol. After all, this is the first time I'm featuring other people! this, hm..how should i put this, is a thanks to everyone who had featured me before, and...*drum beats* a celebration for my first 100 watchers!!! Yay, i've finally got over a 100, lol. probably doesn't sound much to many of you, but I'm ecstatic!! okie, let's get the featuring in shall we! This feature will be one for two weeks! (means till 15th of March!)

PS. it was so stupid, coz i tried to put up the features on thursday or wednesday night (can't remember) and after i copied and pasted everything in, it said DA is on maintanance or something, and i can't login again no matter wat.
