What does it mean? I've looked around (on the net) but I still don't get the hang of it. When I wrote for the other publications, there was a statement letter saying that the rights of the photos stay with me but I'm allowing them to use them in their publication. That means a license, right? What I get from this recent offer to me reads differently. Does that mean that I cannot do anything about them anymore once they've taken up the rights?

It's not that I have a problem with it. A commission work is a commission work. But that will determine the price whether it should go higher or not.

Dont you think?

Denpasar - The convicted so-called terrorists accused for killing 202 innocent people in Bali in the year 2002, namely Imam Samudra, Ali Gufron and Amrozi, were executed today at 00:15, leaving mixed feelings for various numbers of people.

These past several days the embassies of Australia and the United States of America in Jakarta had received hoax calls threatening that there were bombs planted, which would be activated if the Bali bombers were still to be executed. The police went through and checked the whole buildings, but no bombs were found.

On the 5th of November 2008, Ustadz Ja'far Shodiq, Amrozi's brother, threatened that bloodshed should occur if the execution would still be conducted. "If you want to be safe, stop the execution," he said.

In August, a website called foznawarabbilkakbah.com stowed the bombers' so-called testament that menaced a death of some important people who "supported" the execution of the Bali bombers. Included in the testament were the President of Republik Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Attorney General Hendarman Supandji, all judges and prosecutors. More people in the revenge list were the Hindus and Christians who are considered kafirs, and all American slaves.

The police took the threat seriously and intensified the protection for President Yudhoyono. The website has now been reportedly taken down.

With the mounting threats of revenge attacks coming from the Indonesian Muslim radicals, the Australian government keeps the travel warning to Indonesia.

"We advise Australians firstly to reconsider their need to travel to Indonesia," Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said.

At the same time the spokesperson of the Indonesian Police main headquarter, Irjen Pol Abubakar Nataprawira, reported that the situation in Jakarta remained conducive. However, high security is focused in some fragile places, such as malls and embassies.

"We maintain a tight security especially at the embassies of USA, United Kingdom and Australia," he told detikcom today.

Syekh Puji, 43, the founder of Pondok Pesantren Miftakhul Jannah - an Islamic boarding school - in Bedono Semarang, has admitted to an Indonesian media that he liked young girls. In realisation to that, he decided to marry Lutfiana Ulfa, 12 now, a girl coming from the poor family.

His first wife, 26 years old, was allegedly said that she was okay with that, and was even "encouraging" the cleric to take other brides.

The choice fell onto Ulfa, being said as a smart, good at English language and beautiful among the other 20 "candidates".

When asked why he married the 12-year-old Ulfa, Puji said that he was following Prophet Muhammad's lead. The prophet married his wife Aisyah when she was 7, but he gave her back to her parents until she was mature enough to be bedded.

Aries Merdeka Sirait from Komnas Anak - National Commission for Children - claimed that Puji should have been jailed for marrying an underage child, who was obviously having no consent of the real decision for the marriage. It is also, he continues, violating the Indonesian marriage law which pushes the youngest age for a girl to marry is 16, and boy 19.

Hilman Rosyad Syihab, member of Indonesian parliament from PKS party, backs Syekh Puji in his action and states that it is allowed in the Islamic law to set up a marriage with younger girls, as long as they are not "touched" before they menstruate.

Hilman also remarks that the marriage law is to "suggest" the age to marry, but it is not compulsory.

However, Hilman continues, if it is found that it was actually a human trafficking action - father selling his daughter to Puji - it will be a different case. Then both the father and Puji could be taken into charges.

There is no evident so far if it was a trade marriage contract. Although making Ulfa as the director of PT Silenter - Puji's company - has already been a suspicious act that displeases certain groups.

"It is an underage child labour!" Mr Sirait said.

In the mean time, Pujianto Cahyo Widianto - Syekh Puji's real name, is thinking to take 2 other brides, each aged 9 and 7.

She was just visiting her family in the northern part of Denpasar on Thursday, 3rd of April 2008 when she was approached by a guy who claimed to be friends with her aunt. He asked a direction to a certain place and she provided him that. The man pretended stupid and requested her to take him to that place instead. She resisted the idea in the beginning but she gave in eventually and took a ride with that guy on his motorcycle.

S said that this awful bloke drove his motorcycle to the wrong direction with a reason that he had to pick up his friends who also wanted to see the house.

Apparently they ended up in a hotel out of nowhere. It was then when S was forced to come inside the hotel room when she met the other two guys. Once inside, the three guys started to make a sexual move to her. She struggled her best to free herself, she admitted, but with one guy holding her wrists and the other her ankles, she had to lose the battle. In turn they raped her until she was left feeling very shaky, deeply humiliated and devastated.

The next four days she locked herself in her small boarding room and cried her eyes out. She did not dare to tell anyone about it because of the sole reason of the humiliation she would bring into the family. She did not tell anyone; her family, her boyfriend, or her friends, so leave alone the police. The case was left unreported, even after a heavy persuasion from me and the people who finally knew about this.

Though failing in our attempts to make her report that to the police, we managed to assure her that she definitely had to go to the hospital for a medical check. And she was only convinced after I told her that I took one of those tests, too, once.

Like her, like me, and like most of the unprotected girls all over Indonesia who are often rated second by the community, we experienced a sexual abuse at least once in our life. And I do hope the rapists and the people who blame women for the rapes to happen die in hell!

3. I started swimming just in January this year. (Finally after years of deep water phobia)

4. For some unknown reason, I often get stalked. Perhaps there is this invisible tag on my forehead that says, "Follow me. Please!"

5. I'm bad at sports. Almost any kind of sports.

6. I'm the queen of Trumps card game! At least I'd like to claim I am!

7. I can sleep 15 hours straight without even at once waking up. Not even for water and food.

8. I've a good mathematics skill.

Hi Friends,

Thank you soooo much for the emails, calls and text messages. I'm safe from the earthquake that happened lately ([link]) in Central Java, Indonesia. So.. don't worry. But I do really really appreciate your concerns.

It's been a while since I wrote my last journal. I believe I haven't kept you updated quite much.
Well... I got a job in Tegal, Central Java, as a teacher. Thus I had to move out of Surabaya (East Java). I started working here the 1st of May and things are quite busy at the new place. It's quite fun, though.

As in the earthquake, I did feel the shake that morning. Woke up with my bed rattling. I did not panic but still, I had a slight worry about how to get out of this building (I live in the same building as my office) for I haven't got the gate key until now. Fortunately it was a weak earthquake in where I live, so everyone is safe and good.

There's no more earthquake, we hope. But we've been anticipacing about the volcano eruption [[link] that is predicted to blow in about two weeks.
I live quite far from it, but my workmates and I expect to have some big impacts when it does indeed erupt.

Buuut, beside all that, life is good. I'm so away from the people I love, but at the same time I feel so much closer to them.

I hope all go well.

I've got to say good bye for a month or two.

10 people were fired from the company, including me.. since it's bankrupting. Soooo.. I'm jobless now and not gonna be online and active here for a while.

Plus, I'm going for a South East Asia travel on the 4th of January for 5 weeks (YAY)... so actually this jobless state doesn't bother me that much. To think about it positively, I even get more pocket money for the travel.

Guess what? It's my birthday this month. Whoohoooo!!!!!
Feeling excited. Unlike last year, which was full of anxiety cause I was reaching a quarter of the century and I was totally blank what I was doing and had achieved then, now becoming 26 I'm feeling much more comfortable with myself, though I still can't say I'm settled, I'm going to reward myself with something.

Is a print account worth a birthday gift? I haven't checked/read about it (how it works and payment matter), though. So while I'm doing my research, is there any input from you guys who have already the print account? What the advantages are, or if you like and benefit from it.. And a poll: Are my deviations good enough to be sold? I'm still learning and the people are the judges of the photos I make.

In the meantime, I'm trying to dig my self taken photos, not all are necessarily artistic but I'm trying to show off the "not very embarrasing" ones. Oh well, maybe I'll post them as well.

Some of you have asked me to post pictures of me, besides those of my friends.. well you got it. You got A HELL LOT OF it! Hihi.. Gotcha. I'm maybe gonna make you sick of me before the end of the month. Hohoho..

Now what's this? What's so artsy about those pics? Alright, I got it that they wanted to complain about the "border" between artistic nude pics and pornography. Alright, I can accept that a lot of similar deviations are posted daily on DA. But a DD for them? There are a lot more GREAT deviations on DA that are worth the DD! Or maybe the DD was granted cause what the artist wrote in the description? Cause they were just too sick to hear complaints from the other artists about their "art" pieces? Don't get me wrong.. I like artistic nude pics, but can you even call these two DDed pics artistic?

Though if you saw their gallery, some may be called artistic, really. But a damn DD for those pieces?? Come onnnn!!!

Second good news: I've got a one-week trial subscription from DA! Yay!

It's been a while since I was inactive here and this nice surprise came just right after I commented on one of =coxi 's deviation.. among the other 400 something in my message centre. Lucky lucky.

Then a workmate give this [link] at almost the same time, and it encourages me to move on. I might not be able to buy a camera at the moment, but I will surely save for one. And in the mean time, I can always do some traveling here and there whilst taking good pics with a borrowed camera.

To think about it again, it wasn't as difficult as I thought before. Though the borrowing part still disturbs me a lot.

But at least.. I'm back, my friends.


Oh, and the third good news.. I'm going to Lombok island (again) next week. Yippee!!! I've been envying *anlis's vacation photos so much that I want another vacation for myself. Also cause I've been just too burnt out at work and home. But to get the lower plane ticket fare and less crowded vacation place I need to go before the everybody else goes, which is usually in June to July (school big holiday). SO.. that explains my going next week and why I have to finish a lot of tasks this week (and next week).. sigh.. but an excited sigh, huh.

Couples caught kissing passionately in public in Indonesia could spend five
years in jail.

Members of parliament in the world's most populous Muslim country have proposed
an anti-pornography bill that includes a ban on kissing on the mouth in public.

"I think there must be some restrictions on such acts because it is against our
traditions of decency," said Aisyah Hamid Baidlowi, head of a parliamentary
committee drafting the bill.

Heavy kissing could carry a maximum penalty of five years in jail or a 250
million rupiah ($29,000) fine. Anyone caught flashing would face similar
penalties.

The bill also proposes bans on public nudity, erotic dances and sex parties,
with jail terms ranging from three to 10 years. Watching such shows could lead
to two years behind bars.

Indonesians have long followed a moderate version of Islam, although an
emphasis on Muslim practices and identification with Islamic traditions have
grown stronger in recent years.

Public displays of affection are frowned upon by many, though prostitution is
rampant in many parts of the archipelago.

got my film developed 2 weeks ago. hooraayyy.. that's why you see some new pictures of lombok island, where i went for the second time after christmas till new year last year. it's always been my favourite vacation place, much better than bali, in my opinion, and i've been really enjoying your nice comments on the pics i've uploaded so far. thank you thank you.

coming up will be ijen's photos. ijen is a mountain in east java which crater is said to be very beautiful! HOWEVER, i will not show any crater pictures of it, or pictures of a mountain etc. i was there alright with a friend, but couldn't go further to the crater itself AS the way there is just too slippery and it should be less impressing with the rainy season we're having at the moment (cloud, fog etc). i promise myself to go back there again in around the middle of this year, or before. SO the pictures which will be displayed will be pics of wood and wild flowers i found during my way. i like them anyway.. and hope you will too.

It's SMELLY everywhere in this country!!! Idul Adha is coming (Monday) and people have started displaying the poor goats and cows in every fucking side of the streets! This air pollution is just SO annoying! I can hardly breathe.. (especially when I'm on a bemo) Now I wish I had my own car, having my all windows of the car closed and living with aircon.

On Monday those animals will be slaughtered. I can imagine I will be hearing them crying the night before, just like every year. my highschool anime/manga-maniac friend just showed me her newest work a few days ago, hoping that i would also back draw. as always, this way always worked. i am into drawing again.

the thing is my hand is already so rusty to even start a drawing. and as any other art, it requires a good mood. on chinese new year holiday i tried to make a happy smiling face on a piece of paper. but although i had tried a hundred of times, the smiling face wouldn't come out. i changed the tactic: drew a frowning/serious face. it was easy, less than 5 minutes.

waking up at 5:00 am for teaching, no going home but to my website office directly and work until 9:15 pm, got electricy shocks from my computer three times, couldn't work on anything since the printer which i needed so much was broken, bored and the internet is so damn slow!
