Life is good... always those up and down days but hey, if it wasn't for those down days how could we appreciate the good days. It makes life more interesting.

So everybody is back to school... I still make fun of them... my better half is in his 2nd year of the RN program and we hardly get to see each other but when we do, its good times! It feels weird watching everybody going to university and here I am working on my business... I feel... old! Well, next spring I'll be going back to tech school to get some more courses that I wanted to take. Anyways, boring stuff...

That part time graphics job that my muffin ( :idDelaney02: ) told me about turned out a no-go. She quit because the owner isn't the best person to work for... soooo, I'm thinking, I'll pass even though I love her for thinking of me! And when the guy calls me back, I'm tellilng him I found a better, more successful job. I'm so mean! (but hey, any ass that treats my muffin less than a princess gets my bad side!) Luckily I have a few more options so its not a loss.

There are lots of changes I need to make in my life... I'm just having issues actually getting them done. I'm slowly getting there... so thats good at least...

Anyways, just thought I'd update! Hope you all are doing great and thank you again for all the comments, adds and favs! Hugs all around!

I can honestly say... life has never been better! It finally feels like I'm getting somewhere in life! :love:

My family had a great summer and we were ALL able to get together at our cabin and have a kick ass time! My best friend Stephanie and I have never been closer and going down to see Phantom of the Opera in Vancouver was just mind blowing! And me and my beloved angel and boyfriend, Akos, have had an amazing 4 and a half years and every day gets better!

I'm getting back to training daily and will soon return to my martial arts classes once I can get my endurance and strength up to what it used to be. Bring on the protein shakes!

My business is growing and I'm so excited to see what the future has in store!!! And thanks to ~Delaney02 I might have a job at a local graphics and signs shop. It will be a great part time job and I get to hang out with my muffin! :hug:

And I certainly can't forget all my great DA friends here! You guys are awesome and keep me full of inspiration! Thank you! And a huge Thank You to all the comments and favorites! :glomp:

Well, summer is virtually over for me. And what a wonderful summer it was! Now, its down to business and that means a whole hell of a lot of work to get my businesses at a good stage. I'm really excited to get working hardcore... its going to take a lot of discipline and organization, which I'm not entirely used to, but I'm going to give it my all and won't quit till I die! Wish me luck! =P

Oh... I lied... summer isn't completely over... I'm going to go see Phantom of the Opera this weekend! :boogie: My best friend surprised me and bought me a ticket! I'm beyond stoked! :excited:

My very first tag! :giggle: Enjoy the random facts about me! =P


The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. 1. I am always moving/fidgeting, I can't sit still... my feet are always tapping out a beat!
2. I have 12 nieces and nephews and my oldest niece is closer in age to me then I am to my next brother.
3. If I can be barefoot, I will be... winter or summer, grass or gravel, I'm shoeless! :D
4. Swimming in lakes creeps me out but swimming in the ocean is perfectly fine (even though the ocean has all the man eating critters in it!)
5. I can type 80 words a minute with one hand, without looking
6. I can squirt air/water/any liquid out of my eye (I almost made the Guiness Book of World Records with shooting it 10 feet) (...and doing it with Coca Cola HURTS like a BITCH!) =P

So hi everybody... this is the new and improved akima28 with a little * now! ;)

I really don't know how I got it or why I got it but when I logged on this morning I gota notice saying I was chosen (ooooh... like some sort of cult religion) to have the sub and so yah.. now I have a one week subscription! Go figure! ~Delaney02 says that I had a better chance of getting hit by lightning... so I'm kinda staying indoors today! :D (its junk weather outside anyways)

The subscription features are pretty darn cool though... I really like the way they have the deviantWatch page set up and the large thumbnails. Preeeetty funky...

So besides that.. not much else to say... had a great game of soccer last night though and watched two of my best buds play Halo for 3 hours while me and my friend Steph were the commentary. It was great fun! Its like watching an action movie that never ends!

I've had enough of North American... there is way too much of the world out there that I'll never see in my lifetime but I'm sure as hell going to try and make a dent in it.

I'm sick of school and sick of all the stupid barbie dolls and their chachi steroid-monkey boyfriends that overrun the beach. I'll bet most of them don't even know there are other continents besides North America... or other lanuages besides English.

Long...

and good. Great in fact. And crazy!

Going and going and going... non-stop... and driving over 1200 km... with almost flat tires.

Craziness. Sheer craziness.

The nieces(6 in total) and nephew(just one little guy) were a total blast and wow, I'm getting old because I was completely tired out after blowing bubbles for 10 minutes...

And being chased around the yard... and getting kites out of trees... and searching for their lost dog... and horseback riding... and falling out of trees... and being chased by 2 rottis... and getting stepped on by a donkey... oh and going to a wedding which was basically a family reunion... hell... absolute hell... but lots of fun!

In accordance to the nieces and nephew... I have also been designated queen of bubble-blowing and drop-kicking, down-the-stairs-tumble-and-roll champ, first-class-spider-finder, pro-tickler and fort-builder, homework-procrastinator extrordinaire, generalissimo of the Horsefly Lake military unit, fastest-water-ballooner-filler-upper, best-auxillary-supply for the dodgeball battle, best aquarium stocker-upper, and favorite bedtime storyteller.

My most cherished title of all... favorite aunty!

... and all the hugs and snuggles that go with it, despite the non-stop action! :D

So it was a great weekend and I have officially lost all motivation for my classes (yet again) and to top it off, I have a rather large assignment partially due tomorrow morning which I have not thought hardly a moment about. Besides the fact the entire assignment disgusts me and I have no desire to do it whatsoever... my external harddrive is on the fritz so it really doesn't matter anyways!

Craziness.

And I'm drinking a corona...

...I never drink beer...

...craziness...

I'm so tired... I want to go to bed... and I want my camera but my parents borrowed it for the next few weeks... random...

My niece got a horse for her birthday... purebred arabian... beautiful beautiful!

My latest phase has been SOCCER!!! :w00t!:


I kick the ball around the house, I hacky the ball, I run around on the lawn kicking the ball(and tripping occasionally but I make it look awesome)... my ball is beside me right now! AND the best part is I infected my friends! So now 3 or 4 or more get together and we have fun hackying the ball and hanging out... and kicking it in trees and the creek and the neighbors roof! We just have fun! (and then we go to Kelly O's for pachos and mudpie!) The cool part too is that my nieces and nephews are getting into it too so today we were all playing and it was a hella lot of fun!


I want to join one of the womens teams here but I'm too late in the season :shakefist:
Oh well, I'll just keep practising till next year...


So THAT is what I do when I'm not a computer geek... among other things of course but soccer is my latest release!

I have been working non-stop on a flash animation that was due tonight... so I was able to give it in completed which is a first for me considering this was yet ANOTHER project I bit off a WAY bigger piece than I could chew. Usually I give my "over and above" projects in late which gets them horrible marks so its not really worth it except for me own satisfaction. Damn my screwed up twisted mind for thinking up things far beyond anything I'm capable of doing while retaining sanity :shakefist:

... wow, rambling! Sorry...

Well I only got a few hours sleep last night and my dreams were in flash... I'm going a bit loopy! Neeeeed sleep... but oh wait... early class tomorrow, yay! :sarcasticclap:

So I'm going to try and figure out how to post my animation but right now it is 18 individual swf files that are linked... does ANYONE know how to create ONE document that has my whole animation with the 18 scenes? (I also have the original 18 .fla files if that makes any difference) Please? Anyone?

Now I'm off to finish my other homework for tomorrow... then I'm going to go in the hot tub... :strip:

Its about bloody time, all this free time on my hands has driven me crazy.

I've read several books and watched way too many movies this past week. I highly recommend reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho to everybody and anybody, no matter the age.

I can't wait to get up to the cabin this summer and leave ALL technology behind. I hate it... I hate being a willing slave to this machine. *sigh*

I'm thinking of becoming a "hunter-gatherer"... living naked in some tropical forest somewhere in the Fijian islands and having no contact with this surreal virtual reality or any other technology for that matter.

Except maybe a microwave... to cook my seafood...

Life has strange ways of making things happen.

This week has been awesome. I went for a long hike yesterday with my better half and we had such a hoot. I felt alive again being outside after being stuck in front of a comp for so long. Then I went for a little midnight stroll in the field at my old house... like a wraith walking admidst the trees I planted with my own hands and feeling the earth beneath my barefeet... the glistening souls of the sky winking down on me. It felt so good to be Home.

I kind of feel like the "Sound of Music" singing in a rolling grassy field sappy scene... *sigh*

LIFE IS DAMN GOOD!!!

My business has taken off too so that is a huge help... I've made an international ad for a US and Canadian company so I can tack on "International Design Firm" to my credits! ;)

Its going to be a great year... in ALL aspects of life! :D

I'm pretty much on my hands and knees praying someone fails in each course so I can get in... what a retarded system! BAH!

I was going to write a bunch more but I entirely forgot whatever it was. I should get some much needed sleep.

For the record, my youngest niece (out of 12 nieces/nephews) is THE cutest and most well behaved baby I've EVER seen! She just makes you melt! I'd post a pic but my sister would kill me... paranoid or something.Oh well.

As it says, I'm a multimedia artist... I love traditional art, digital art (both 2D and 3D), photography and photomanipulation. Most likely you will see a lot of random works submitted. :headbang:

I'm a graphic designer with a brand spanking new company. Weeeee.

I've been told that I don't belong in this century... that I belong back in the day with either the ancient celts as a fierce swordswoman that battles for her honor at every chance... or as Pharaoh Hatshepsut, the most amazing female pharaoh in history. I think the people that said that are a bit off their rocker but I won't deny the fact that my life, freedom and honor are everything to me.

And I'm also a bit crazy... but that is what makes life interesting! Hope you all enjoy my random deviations...
