Well, for starters..........IT'S OVER 10,000!!!!!!!!!!
What is you may ask? My pageviews BITCH!!!!

It's almost Christmas and I'm still wondering what it's gonna be like since my dad won't be around to celebrate it with us (We'll still be visiting him).
I hope I get most of what I wanted on my list, I can get that my boxsets probably won't be under the tree, since for some reason they are really hard to find ATM.

I also finally finished one of my DS game! YAY FINALLY!
I finally finished 'The World Ends With You' and let me just say one thing about it....SO WORTH THE MONEY!
It is such a good game and I'm glad that I picked it up at FanExpo.

Also, I ventured into Prescott yesterday on my bicycle to pick up ingredients for cookies and it just happened to be great timing on my part.
I had just got what I needed and saw probably almost the whole population of the town lining up on the side of the road. It just so happened that the Olympic Torch was passing through town.
It was really cool, since I've never seen anything like that before.

Last Saturday, I was at work when I got the weirdest call. I got a call form the OPP, at first I was like 'WTF? Did something go wrong at work or something and I'm the one working?", but then the lady cop told me that my dad was in an accident!

You can tell that I probably shit my heart out at that moment. I nearly dropped the phone. She proceeded too tell me that he was out on his motorcycle and was hit by a car in Prescott and he left a few minutes before I did to go for a ride.
I was then told that he was being taken to the Brockville Hospital, but then found out that he was air-lifted to the Ottawa Civic Hospital and was put into Intensive Care.

We were told, when we got to the hospital, that he had two broken forearms a broken leg and a fractured pelvis and when he was brought in he was in surgery all night!

It's been a week and my dad has been in for two more surgeries and apparently his right leg was broken too, but they went in and fixed that.
We saw him yesterday and he's doing really great. He's going in for an MRI too see if there is any soft tissue damage on his neck so they can take the brace off and hopefully, the tubes/tube in his mouth can be removed so that he can talk to us.

So there's no more worries for now, he's doing great and seems to be healing fast (I think we may be related to mutants!). It's only a matter of time before they can move him into his own room and hopefully not long before he can come home!

I always have fun there, but there where somethings that happened that could have been better.
Here is a quick list that I posted up on my cosplay.com account, since I'm too lazy to take time to write a detailed entry:

The Good:
- At the con, I always feel like I'm home.
- I had a nice costume, (Shiloh from Repo:The Genetic Opera)even though it got REALLY hot on Saturday.
- Met some really nice people, but I wish I could remember most of their names.
- Got more signatures in my Fullmetal Alchemist Art Book and DVD covers.
- Saw some really nice cosplays.
- Surprised to find my friend Pam sitting beside me in the hot tub at the Royal York.
- Meeting the ShadowCats.
- Dancing and singing along with "Sora" in the Masquerade Green Room to some of the music in the skits.
- Had a fun time in the Masq.
- Glad that almost everything turned out fantabulous!
- Free parking!
- Me threatening to poop in everyone's bed if they didn't get up on time!

The Bad:
- THE LINE ON SATURDAY!!! Read this forum to get the gory details!: [link]
- Really sore feet the entire weekend.
- The line for Scott McNeil's autograph. I was in the damn line for more that two hours. I was only probably about 20ft. from the front of the line!
- Got ripped off for manga in the dealer's room, paid CANADIAN cover price instead of US. THEY LIE!!!!!!!
- Really hot on Saturday.
- Hidden costs at the Royal York Hotel
- The crowd on Saturday was torture! The con grew to about almost 59,000 attendees on Saturday!
- Video feed cut off in the Green room right at the best skits!

Other than that it was a pretty good weekend!
I got a lot of stuff from the Expo:

Well, Fan Expo is only about a week away and I really can't believe that it's so close.
The cosplays are just about done and ready to go and so is my hopeful shopping list for the trip. Also, the stuff I want to get autographed are being taken into consideration.

I'm still not sure if I'm dressing up on Friday, but Saturday is usually the big day.

As of this day, SOAP is formally announcing the termination of the AC-Cubed convention. While it is unfortunate that we had to come to this decision, we simply could not secure the required resources to run the convention in the 2009 season.

Since there are several issues that could not be reconciled in the near future, we would have been required to compromise greatly on the quality and size of the convention should it have proceeded. There is little justification in doing so given that the community is still well served by other anime conventions and groups growing in the Ottawa region.

We would like to thank everyone who supported AC-Cubed over the years and we hope that you enjoyed what we had to offer. And while AC-Cubed has come to an end, SOAP isn't leaving anytime soon and we're already coming up with new ideas and plans for future events.

I guess the only cons in the area to go to now are Naru u 2 or G-Anime.

He remembered a countdown he saw on Gametrailers.com of the ten hottest video games girls and we wondered why they never did one for the ten hottest guys and it reminded me of something that I've wanted to do for fun.

I'm also a big fan of the Nostalgia Critic (he always make me laugh like hell) and I've always wanted to do a show like that online, but doing anything I wanted; from video games to anime and movies and TV shows.
Like Top 10 Hottest Video Game/Anime Guys or something like that and do a couple of episodes with my friends and maybe have my brother take over a couple of episodes to do something he wants. I think it would be cool.

I have a scar by my left eyebrow. I got it when I was in Elementary school and I whacked my head at the side of a desk when I was helping clean up.

Green paint and a whole shit-load of posters and pictures. I also have some shelves for my books and some Beauty and the Beast collectors plates.

I don't really do anything except maybe drool in my sleep.

This is a hard one. I can't really think of any single thing that is most precious to me except for my family.

Comedy Central says it's bringing the animated comedy "Futurama" back from past cancellation for 26 new half-hour episodes.

The satiric sci-fi series, set in "New New York City" in the third millennium, will resume production more than six years after ending its four-season run on the Fox network in 2003.

In 2008, those original 72 episodes were supplemented by four extended length adventures.

Along the way, "Futurama" has found success with DVD sales and in repeat airings on Comedy Central.

The new episodes, produced as before by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, are expected to air on Comedy Central beginning in mid-2010. Twentieth Century Fox Television could license the new series for a broadcast network.

He was the third person – after Walt Disney and Jimmy MacDonald – to play the character in various films and TV shows.

The American actor’s first appearance as Mickey was voicing the animated lead-ins for the American TV series, The New Mickey Mouse Club, in 1977.

His first appearance as Mickey for a theatrical release was in 1983 in Mickey’s Christmas Carol, an adaptation of the classic Dickens novel, A Christmas Carol.

The short animated film was the first new Mickey Mouse cartoon in 30 years and featured Mickey as Bob Cratchit. Allwine also voiced the man on the street at the start of the movie and the two weasels in the Christmas future scene.

Mr. Allwine went on to provide Mickey’s voice for nearly every entry in the popular Kingdom Hearts series of video games and subsequent films featuring Mickey Mouse.

By the time of his death he had done the voice of Mickey for longer than anyone else. Walt Disney did it from 1928 to 1947, while Jimmy MacDonald voiced Mickey regularly between 1947 and 1953.

In addition to this work, Mr. Allwine was also a sound effects editor on several films, including Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Innerspace.

He married Russi Taylor, the current voice of Minnie Mouse, in 1991 and they were both named Disney Legends in 2008, in recognition of their contribution to The Walt Disney Company.

Mr Allwine died due to complications from diabetes at the age of 62.

To the Mickey Mouse we grew up with, he will be greatly missed and remembered.

New news for everyone.

I have a new YouTube account that I'm using for favs (I'm not going to risk putting any videos up), so in case someone by the name of Oathkeeper1985 friends you, it's me.

Right now, I am in the midst of trying to find a new video-sharing site for my videos, I'm trying to decide on either Dailymotion or Metacafe to host them.

Anyway, I'm starting to get super excited for FanExpo Canada! I should be posting up the first section of the guest list very soon.
The Sci-Fi list is announced on May 1st and the others will be listed throughout the rest of May.
Tickets will go on sale July 1st.
I'm still trying to get a hold and confirm a guest to come with us, but I still need to talk to my friends and make sure that we're gonna have enough room in the van, so that it will be completely confirmed.

As of yesterday, YouTube has "Permanently Suspended" my account. I found that the reason it was suspended was, I guess I had my three strikes of "Copyright Infringement".

Other than that, I'm still trying to think of a new studio name for my AMVs and I'm also planning to change my new email address this summer to something not as long, probably oathkeeper_85@somethingorother.com

School is just about over for the year and that only means one thing...complete boredom for four months!

I'm trying to get a job at (hopefully) one of two printing places in Prescott, 'cause, um...hey GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENT! So hopefully that works out or I can get a job at the Kraft factory.

I'm trying to make more music videos, I'm currently gathering*stealing* footage for a Gurren Lagann AMV. I LOVE THAT SHOW! SPOILERS ARE PROBABLY A GO!
I'm also trying to think of a new studio name since I'm retiring "Hearts of Automail Studios", so any suggestions are welcome....unless they REALLY suck!

I'm hoping to get together and hang out with some friends this summer....WHEN THEY GET AROUND TO TALKING TO ME AGAIN! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, NON-RESPONDERS!

Fan Expo Canada is now only about five months away, so stay tuned for guest list announcements. I've made some invites to some friends, but so far no responses.
I'm hoping to have some time to join forces with , who offered to make me a cosplay of Miranda from D.Gray Man. (She's so adorable!)

As it will say in the video, one of my friends has a recording set-up at their place that they use for their band and we were fooling around with it with some songs that we had on hand.

I decided to get up the courage to do a song and when we fiddled around with it when we were done....I was shocked to hear how good it sounded, let alone me! We had to speed up the song (or whatever they did) for my song to make it sound right for my voice.

....In love with a unknown little manga and anime called D.Gray Man! I decided to watch the few episodes that I could online and I LOVE THIS SHOW!!
I'm now contemplating on selling my Haruhi Suzimiya Box Set for when the half-season box set comes out in March!

Also, I went shopping with the other day and she bought me the first three volumes of the manga as a belated Christmas present...so I take it she REALLY liked that autograph from Derick Steven Prince that I got for her at FanExpo!

She also said that, if I pay her and pay for the material, she would make me Miranda's cosplay! So I'm thinking of doing that and helping her out on it during the summer.
Hopefully I can get together an extra $100-150, if I want the costume lined, maybe I can sell my box set to go towards this in the summer.

This new fandom is now almost to the FMA point I reached when I loved it, but I swear that I will not go over-obsessive fangirl on it. I don't want to annoy anymore people! I PROMISE!!!!!

Seniors left in cold
As he was preparing to leave Billings Bridge yesterday, shopping bags in hand, 93-year-old Bert Smith, who is mostly deaf and legally blind, said he would have to use his thumb to get home.

Smith said he used to believe the striking transit union had its reasons. That was before he heard ATU 279 president Andre Cornellier speak.

"I was sympathetic to them until I heard Cornellier say the public doesn't matter and that we can live with a little inconvenience. That was it for him.

"So I'm deaf and blind and I'm going to hitch-hike. What's a little inconvenience?" the veteran said with more than a hint of sarcasm.

The transit strike might be about scheduling and money to those walking the picket lines or in negotiations, but for many elderly, infirm and others who depend on public transit in their daily lives, the strike is about greedy bus drivers who don't give a damn about their plight.


Bernice King, a 72-year-old widow, now spends up to four times more money a week because she has no choice but to order taxis to get around -- when she can find one. Sometimes it's just her and her walker in the cold and snow.

PLEA FOR HELP

"Please do something about this," she said. "We need them, especially us seniors."

"Look outside," she said, pointing to the falling snow. "I can't walk far in that."

Karen Hansen, who recently had hip surgery, sat waiting for a Para Transpo bus that sometimes doesn't show up. The service has been much busier since the strike began.

"People are very angry at them," she said of the union. "The nerve of them. The nerve! We are in a recession with people losing their jobs right, left and centre and they want, they want and they want. They're selfish and I hope they don't get that productivity bonus they were being offered."

Sylvia Page used the bus to get everywhere, including work. On medical leave, she's afraid she won't have a job to go back to if the strike isn't settled soon because she won't be able to get there on her own.

For now, she's spending most of her time at home.

"With the buses on strike, I don't go anywhere," she said. "I stay at home and wonder why I bought a bus pass."

This just makes me sick! I mean, I don't take the bus, but I feel for these people who have to suffer (the elderly, the sick, students, etc) because the drivers are whining and bitching because they don't have certain things that the rest of some Ottawa employees have. HOW FUCKING STUPID CAN YOU BE! Most people would be grateful to make that much money driving a bus around, they make more than my dad in a year!

I say that they should get off their whiny, lazy, fucking asses and get back to work...or fire them all, hire new people who are willing to drive a bus and make everyone happy!

John Lennon was an English rock musician, singer, writer, songwriter, artist, actor and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles. Lennon along with Paul McCartney formed one of the most influential and successful songwriting partnerships and "wrote some of the most popular music in rock and roll history".

In his solo career, Lennon wrote and recorded many songs such as "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine". Lennon revealed his rebellious nature and wit on television, in films such as A Hard Day's Night, in books such as In His Own Write, and in press conferences and interviews. He was controversial through his work as a peace activist, artist, and author.

On the night of 8 December 1980 Mark David Chapman shot Lennon in the back four times (the fifth shot missed) in the entrance hallway of the Dakota. Lennon had autographed a copy of Double Fantasy for Chapman earlier that same night.

Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival in the Emergency Room at the Roosevelt Hospital at 11:15 p.m. On the following day, 9 December 1980, Ono issued a statement: "There is no funeral for John. John loved and prayed for the human race. Please pray the same for him. Love, Yoko and Sean." Chapman pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to 20 years to life. He is still in prison, having been denied parole five times.

I always remember to thank Jesus for the end of my touring days.

A crowd gathered outside the Dakota the night of Lennon's death. Ono sent word that their singing kept her awake and asked that they re-convene in Central Park the following Sunday for ten minutes of silent prayer. On 14 December 1980, millions of people around the world responded to Ono's request to pause for ten minutes of silence to remember Lennon: Thirty thousand gathered in Liverpool, and the largest group—over 100,000—converged on New York's Central Park, close to the scene of the shooting.

Lennon continues to be mourned throughout the world and has been the subject of numerous memorials and tributes. Principal among these is New York City's Strawberry Fields, a memorial garden area in Central Park across the street from the Dakota building. Shortly after Lennon's death Ono donated $1 million for the memorial's maintenance. It has become a gathering place for tributes on Lennon's birthday and on the anniversary of his death, as well as at other times of mourning, such as after the 11 September 2001 attacks and following George Harrison's death on 29 November 2001.

On 9 October 2007 the Imagine Peace Tower in Viðey island, Iceland (off the coast of Reykjavík) was lit for the first time . The idea for the monument was originally conceived by Yoko Ono in 1965 and construction began in 2006. The tower is lit annually from 9 October, Lennon's birthday, to 8 December, Lennon's date of death. The words "Imagine Peace" are carved into the tower in 24 different languages.
Two days after his death, Lennon's body was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. The whereabouts of Lennon's ashes are not definitively known.

At FanExpo, I bought the "Haruhi Suzimiya: Complete Collection".
I'm starting to think of selling it, I mean I did like the series, one of the best I've ever seen, but at the moment it's starting to seem like a 'watch-once' kinda show.

If I were to sell it, the money would most likely go towards school in either the form of print-jobs or supplies, but would it be worth it to maybe replace the series in the future with either:

If I were to sell it, it would probably go for about $45-50 for the entire 13 episode series (so far).

Would it really be worth it?

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Eighty years ago, a clothes-wearing rodent named Mickey Mouse whistled his way onto the silver screen, as "Steamboat Willie" made its cinema debut at the Colony Theater in New York.

That day, November 18, 1928, is widely considered the official birthday of Mickey Mouse, even if he was born of the imagination of Walt Disney months before his movie debut and also featured in a short animated film called Plane Crazy, which was made before Steamboat Willie but released afterwards.

Mickey Mouse was created almost by accident: Walt Disney's first cartoon character was a rabbit called Oswald, but the man who was to rise to become a pre-eminent force in global entertainment lost the rights to the rabbit in 1927 and returned to the drawing board.

He came up with a mouse, whom he wanted to call Mortimer.

According to popular legend, his wife preferred the name Mickey, and Walt Disney deferred to her choice.

The storyline of Steamboat Willie is flimsy, politically incorrect and features little, if any, comprehensible dialogue.

But the cartoon marked an animation landmark with its synchronized sound track that includes Mickey whistling and blowing raspberries at the irascible ship's captain, a large tobacco-chewing cat called Captain Pete.

In roughly seven minutes, viewers watch as Mickey Mouse is kicked out of the steering room of a riverboat by Captain Pete; hoists Minnie Mouse on board using a crane that grabs her by the knickers; swings a cat by the tail, strangles a goose and plays keyboard on some suckling piglets as the American folk song "Turkey in the Straw" plays from the innards of a goat.

The hapless mouse ends up paring potatoes in the galley when Captain Pete finds him making music with Minnie and mistreating animals.

Walt Disney wanted to record the soundtrack for Steamboat Willie with big-name studios RCA or Western Electric, but ended up contracting with "the bootleg Powers Cinephone process," according to the Disney website.

"After a disastrous initial recording session, Walt Disney finally recorded the soundtrack with a 15-piece band and his own squeaks for Mickey," the website says.

Just over a year after his debut in Steamboat Willie, on January 13, 1930, Mickey Mouse got his own comic strip, drawn by artist Ub Iwerks.

He made it into the Sunday comics on January 10, 1932, the same year that Walt Disney won a special Academy Award for creating the friendly rodent.

Mickey Mouse has gone on to star in over 120 different cartoons and got his own television show, "The Mickey Mouse Club", in the 1950s, the theme song of which engraved in the minds of a generation of Americans how to spell M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E.

The show is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of Rebellion". I read about it in my Anime Insider magazine and yesterday checked it out on the internet...which I know some consider to be a bad thing, but it's the only way I can check out new anime!

I watched about the first three episodes yesterday and I love this show! I'm gonna see how many I can get before I have to go back to the reality that is my life.

The storyline is cool and the characters are interesting and plus the main character, Lelouch, is a HOTTIE!!!

After seeing cosplays of the characters and some skits featuring them, I may take it into consideration on making it a future cosplay, with either Lelouche's school uniform or if I even get THAT good...Zero's outfit, but I think I should stay with the school uniform.

Check out the anime on Youtube if you want, it's a good show! I'm probably gonna check out the manga, when I get some money and the Anime Stop gets Vol.1 in stock again!

Crichton himself directed and wrote "The Great Train Robbery" and he co-wrote the script for the blockbuster "Twister."

In 1994, he created the award-winning TV hospital series "ER." He's even had a dinosaur named for him, Crichton's ankylosaur.

A new novel by Crichton had been tentatively scheduled to come next month, but publisher HarperCollins said the book was postponed indefinitely because of his illness.

One of four siblings, Crichton was born in Chicago and grew up in Roslyn, Long Island. His father was a journalist and young Michael spent much of his childhood writing extra papers for teachers. Mark Twain and Alfred Hitchcock were his role models.

I was shocked to see the amount coming down when I looked out my window while making dinner last night, but then the wind kicked in and made it worse and cutting our power a few times during the evening.

What really shocked me was that last night before i went to bed, I checked on the weather out the window to see if the snow leveled off and saw that the birch tree in front of my house....wilted. Like a flower, it wilted three ways; one part is still standing skyward, one part is towards the road near the ditch and the last part wilted in front of our house, across the walkway to the front door!

It was a good year, unfortunately wasn't able to come, WE MISSED YOU!!!!

We left early in the morning for Toronto and I was so happy that we got there before 9am! We had enough time to get our cosplays on and get our tickets before the con opened. YAY!
We say a bunch of great costumes there from all sorts of areas of media.

It was really fun and I went to Vic Mignogna's panel and then to his autograph session and gave him some of my AMV DVD's for his birthday! Before I went to the Bleach autographs, we went back to our room and took some pictures of us drinking coolers (hahaha, drinking Pokemon trainer!)
The Bleach line was L-O-N-G! I was in there for two and a half hours and I still had to come back the next day for the signings! at least I met and and that swept the time away talking to them. YAY!

What else....? What the hell did I buy?
Oh, I got the complete collection of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimyia" on DVD and a little Al plushie from FMA!

Other than that, it was a really fun weekend and I hope I can go to it next year!

Other than that, FanExpo 2008 is in 3 days! I am hoping to get a lot of pictures and a good amount of crap to buy!
VIC'S GONNA BE THERE!!! I'm giving him a double DVD of my anime music videos for a birthday present. I hope he likes it!

I'm also happy that I'll be recognized this year in my cosplay! When I went as Pride Ed, no on knew who I was or even asked for my picture, man was I bummed. It took me a while to get the paint markings on AND off!
So, unless you've been under a rock for the past decade, I'm sure you'll know what Pokemon is and some of the main characters!

3. What are they gonna do about Al? Aaron is way too old to do him now.*sniff*
4. How HOT will Ling look? Who would be the best person to voice him? *having fangirl moment - do not disturb*
5. How long will we have to wait too see this new series come to America so we can bask in the glory of the ORIGINAL story with all the really intense scenes?!?!?!

I'm also trying to be patient while I'm waiting for Fan Expo Canada! I'm still working on my costume and already I'm thinking of next years!
For next year, I'm gonna try an idea that will be awesome and a little tricky, but I'm gonna sketch out some ideas to try and figure out on how to make my version!
If you want to know who I'm talking about, I'm thinking of going as GLaDOS from Portal! I'm hoping that Portal will still be popular and maybe the sequel will be out by then.
Other than that, I'm sure my Pokemon cosplay will look good (Please! Let it look good!)

What else....? Oh, On the 18th, my brother, Kaela and I are going to go see "The Dark Knight"! I'm so excited for this movie and I know I'm gonna love it!
I'm hoping to see (but probably never will in the theater) Hellboy 2, Kung-fu Panda and WALL-E! I swear if that robot looked and cuter, you'd get diabetes from just looking at him!

The Hedley concert also ruled, but...DAMN IT! I wish I was taller!

I'm going into Ottawa tomorrow to do more cosplay supply shopping so I can finally get to work on my costume. I hope it turns out alright. I'm just so glad that I'm probably gonna be more recognizable that last year....and not half naked! 0_0
Male character cosplays seem to almost be more fun than females at times! And I'm thinking of borrowing one of Cora's costumes that she's not wearing to the second day of the Expo! Yay!
AND, we still need to think of a masquerade skit for a possibly Pokemon/Trinity Blood/Sweeny Todd/Assassin's Creed mix! Man, my head hurts from trying to think of one!

What else....I'm gonna see Hedley!!!! I don't know who had to sleep with whom to get them to play at Riverfest, but I'm so happy! they are gonna rock and I'm gonna try and see how long it takes before someone sheds a piece of clothing! not that I'm complaining mind you.....

In July, I'm looking forward to hanging out with Kaela and Eric to go and see the Dark Knight! I'm really excited to see this movie, since the resurrected franchise doesn't suck and it's got the late Health Ledger in it. I've always liked him as an actor, with the exception of totally creeping the shit out of me in Brokeback Mountain. No offense to anyone who like the movie, but it creeped me out.
