First things first.

I am now sixteen years of age as of 12:10am, August 14, 2009.

Second off.

I've been starting to get nervous about my Hetalia fandom. I've been getting nervous about liking anime in general. I know you guys know that I'm pretty self concious to begin with, right?

I've always been a high shooter. I know my drawings arn't good at all, but I've always wanted to be the best of the best. Always get better. And because of that, I compare myself to other artists. Other GOOD artists. Really good ones.

They've been drawing since they were small. Young. When they were four or even younger, they noticed they had a gift. And just ran with it. And they became amazing.
I've always been drawing, yes. But I only really started getting serious about it since I was about 10 or 12. And it was all anime. The easiest fucking form of art out there. It all just went downhill.
I would always get excited about my art, and try to show other people. And when I did, I almost always got the same reaction. The "Oh hey is that that Chinese shit" aka "Why don't you stop drawing cartoons and get serious with your art" reaction. And that gets to me. It really does.
It hurts, thinking I limit myself to just fandoms and anime and yaoi and all this other retarded teenage fangirl bullshit when I could be doing so much MORE. I could be branching out, practicing new styles, no, getting better at drawings. Getting SERIOUS. So I can proudly show people my art and have them gasp in awe of what I've done. Something I've practiced at all my life.

THAT'S what other people are expecting from me. Hell, it might be what I'm expecting from myself. I don't know. But from all I've been hearing, it seems like the only way to become professionally respecteced as an artist.

I'm just going to use Hetalia as a reference here. I like Hetalia. I love it. It's stupid, funny, cute, and perfect for shipping. (Hence the kink meme etc.)
However, it being completely historically inaccurate, insulting to other cultures, and of course, throwing in the whole "It's nothing but a whole bunch of bishionen trying to be cute" factor, it's gotten me thrown off a little bit. I'm almost starting to feel guilty liking it.

But I'm going to do a really stupid thing, and stand up for it. I am throwing off all my cred and respect (that I never had to begin with lol;;;; ) for as an "artist" and siding with my "stupid dramatic doesn't know shit-about-shit teenager who really needs to shut up" side.

Hetalia... it's gotten more into fanservice nowadays than actual historical and political happenings, but with its historical and/or political showing that it did do, I'm going to have to say, yes, they are historically inaccurate and probably are insulting and stupid. A good example: Germany. WWII setting. So technically, Nazi-Germany. Notice how Himeruya blatently kept out the fact that he was burning jews, gypsys, homosexuals, and all that, and focused more on his relationship with Italy. Notice how he made Germany more awkward, warm, and cute that the actual Aryan-race those day's, who were fiercely intimidating, and actually WOULD kill you if you were just a single hair out of line. Notice how he made Italy a innocent and pure fool with a love for food and...well, amoure, per say. Notice how he's one of the cutest and most innocent of the characters, even when we KNOW there is no such thing as an innocent nation. Notice how he IGNORED all the evil, cruel stuff that happened in the world, in the past, and focused on how STUPID hand FUN it is.
This is just a sixteen year old girl with no self-respect talking...but in all honesty... I know Hetalia is stupid because if its fanservice count, but.... maybe.... it's just one, big, akward, clumsy, comical step towards world peace....? Ugh, I don't know.

All I'm saying, if you can get an anime published out of that, (granted, it was cancelled, but the streamline on the internet and the fanbase count make up for all of that, trust me) it HAS to be worth SOMETHING. Maybe it's just giving all the nations a reason to laugh about themselfs.

I've been torn between a lot of things in my life, and this is going to be one that is going to fuck up my whole career, self-respect, and possibly even others respect for me, but...

please excuse me whilst I go read fanfiction, draw yaoi, squeal over anime characters, and tell you "fuck off" while you say "get serious".
I don't want to grow up yet. I'm only sixteen, and fuck, I'm going to enjoy my fucking childhood while I still can.

~Kind of stand there for a minute, apologizes and walks away to go get pasta. Jess continues to suck out Inde's soul.

~Miguel will probably do everything in his power to win Kigre back, Kigre will eventually break Sato's control over him, and runs back to Miguel. My parents are going through a divorce. A really rough one. One that has lasted FOUR YEARS, AND STILL NOT COMPLETED.

Story:
Christmas eve, excited about Christmas, I go over my grandparents house for ten minutes and enjoy togetherness with the family. Then, my mother whisks me away to a house with people I haven't seen in four million years. We go home and I sleep, wake up on Christmas day, no presents, no tree, no nothing, (although the day before my mom gave me a brown coat and vest).
We head off to a house full of people I don't know nor care about, and when we're on the road back home after several hours, I ask my mom if I could spend some time with my dad and my sisters, she goes off about how I've been manipulated by my father, what he's been doing in court with her, all the stuff I don't fucking care about. I just wanted to go home, open up presents with my family, and have SOME fucking togetherness time with my family. But no. I have to stay alone with my mom with no fucking Christmas what so ever. I throw a fit, smash a broom, call my sister and beg her to pick me up because I can't stand being with my mom right now, both sisters come over and talk with my mom, she flips and goes off crying in her room, we leave, open presents up under the tree, I come back the next day, she apologizes, FINALLY admits she was wrong, every one is happy, the end.

So we drove around for a few minutes until we came to her house, and her mom told us were she was, we tracked her down and I went trick or treating for a half hour, JUST when people were starting to clean up.

So, I was in York Beach for the past few days...

Wednesday: Arrival. Weather was pretty bad, but we had fun going to mt cousins rented house (most of us slept in a hotel though). We did something else, but I forget what it was :]

Thursday: We went to the beach for like, a few minutes, then had to leave because of tornado warnings. After a bit, all the grandchildren went shopping (I bought an element t-shirt), ate dinner, and saw the dark knight *HUMPSHEATH*

Friday: Fucking amazing beach day. Was a fog in the morning, cleared up around the after noon. I got a shit load of color. And I met a few boiz~~ (AKA. I succesfully hit on every boy in York. Strangley, all of them either had girlfriends, was gay, or was married...)

Saturday: Departure. I got burned SO BADLY. ;n;
It stings like a mother~~
It was an awesome beach day though. Before we went to the beach though, we went in town and went shopping. SO MUCH FUN.
I got a T-shirt that says "Jesus hates the Yankees", a Mr. Messy pin (because they didn't have Mr. Lazy ;-; ), and this ADORIBLE little thing that looks like Kigre because it has bit purple eyes, white fur, and a grey body.
I called him Pikyon <3
