Got the Christmas tree up, and Christmas cards ALMOST ready to be mailed! Still got lots of wrapping to do. I may have to call in my people...lol.

Took a lil mini-vacay to N. Carolina this last weekend to see a friend of a friend. It was awesome. It was beautiful where she lived, she was cool. The three of us just got to sit around and laugh and relax. We also found an old abandoned house, and some old letters, and an outhouse...lol. Anyway, we were plundering through the house and we saw two deer thru the window out in the field behind the house. Of course I wanted to get pics so we were attempting to get out there quietly, but of course we crunched some leaves, and they looked straight at us, and started to run off, all of them. Some had been hidden by the trees. I was so sad for a second, but then I heard my friend go- you're so beautiful!- baby-talkin to them. They seriously lined up in front of the trees, all seven of them and wagged their tails at us while we baby-talked and took pictures. It was incredible!

My little sister, Ash,has moved here and will be going to school with me. It was awfully nice of me to wait 10 years to go to school with her, right? She has brought yet another member to the pack, her 1/2 boxer, 1/2 German Shepherd Mix, Kiki. She is a precious girl, and I can't wait to get some pics of her!

And I found out I will get two weeks off over Christmas. This week has been awesome so far!

My first unifrog (Roland) was not done as well as I would have liked, so I looked for someone to fix him up a bit, and maybe add some more. I got quite lucky, and found a great guy named David who has been working with me ever since. We are not quite finished, but he worked on it for about 6 hours yesterday and it is coming along beautifully! I am taking a break for some of the summer so I can enjoy the beach, and a few afternoons at the pool, but will resume working on it beginning to mid August! I will be putting up pics soon! Hopefully tonight or tomorrow!!

The trip home was good though. It was just long enough I was ready to come home but because I was homesick, not cuz they were makin me crazy! My dad has been in two major accidents in the past year and thankfully made it through both of them. He is now in a wheelchair which irritates him, but he's pretty lucky seeing as they didn't think he would make it at all. He is quite ready to be through physical therapy and walking again. It was a really good get together with the family, and brought us all closer and I do believe some fences were mended between some of the family, which was wonderful!

I am now back and will try to start responding a lil sooner than six days later. Thanks to all of you for your friendship and support!

I have been asked to attempt to organize a fundraiser for Camden County Animal Shelter, where I am a foster mom to homeless dogs. What we are trying to do is host an art show/sale, and so we are looking for anyone who would be willing to donate a piece of their art to sell at the fundraiser, with all or some proceeds going towards the care of the homeless dogs and cats there. CCAS is one of the most caring and compassionate shelters I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and they try really hard to get every animal a loving, forever home. The shelter is always clean and chock full of helpful volunteers, but unfortunately its also always filled to capacity with unwanted strays and owner surrendered animals. If you would be willing to donate, please let me know. We would be grateful for any help, and you would be doing a wonderful thing for the furbabies! It doesn't have to be a dog or cat photo/drawing/painting, either, although I think those would work best at an event like this. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but I'd like to gauge interest and then go from there. Please feel free to repost and get the word out, we need all the help we can get! If you have any questions or would like to donate, note me!
