Stop Fake "Clinics" from Deceiving Women

So-called "crisis pregnancy centers" are proliferating across the nation a deceitful new tactic of the anti-choice movement to keep women from getting the accurate education and health services they seek.

These fake "clinics" often masquerade as health centers offering the full range of reproductive health services, when their only real purpose is to keep women from exercising their right to choice and family planning.

The worst part? Your tax dollars are funding "crisis pregnancy centers" to the tune of $60 million.

A new bill in Congress, the "Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women's Services Act" (H.R.5052), would stop "crisis pregnancy centers" from deceiving women. Urge your representative to support this important bill.

So after some thought, I've decided to have a kiriban contest!

ALL IS ON'S KIRIBAN CONTEST -- RULES AND OTHER STUFF
Everyone on devART knows what the pageviews are, right? See that little number up in the top left-hand corner of the page? When that pageview number reaches 2,000 hits, I will draw a kiriban for whichever visitor that landed it!

For those who don't know, a kiriban is a request you can make to me, and I'll draw it for you. Just as a gift for visiting and hopefully enjoying my artwork

All you have to do is this: If you visit my page sometime in the near future, and the number of pageviews says 2,000, simply take a screencap of the window and send it to me, either through a note on devART or through email, whichever you prefer. You cannot claim the prize if you merely copy and paste the stats into the Comments box. Obviously that leaves room for some foul play, and this is supposed to be fair.

As for what you can request from me: Pretty much anything. Obviously my style is anime-influenced so whatever you request will have to be done in my own style. Fanart is always okay; animes that I am a fan of and familiar with are DragonBall, Sailormoon, Utena, and Trigun. If you ask me to draw something from an anime/manga that I'm totally unfamiliar with, it will probably take longer than it normally would since I'd have to use references.

Lucky for you, I am not really biased against any canon or non-canon couples in anime. Example: if you wanted a drawing of Trunks/Pan, I'd gladly do it for you despite being a Trunks/Marron fan myself. There's no reason to be biased since I don't know who's going to win, or what they'll even want. Yaoi/yuri is okay too, but don't expect it to be TOO provocative. Skin is fine, genitalia... not so much

You do not HAVE to have a deviantART account to win.

Secondly, I'd like to apologize for the lack of artwork recently. I uploaded the Shiori thing a few days ago, but I can't get myself out of this slump I'm in. Normally I'm pretty regular with updates, but right now nothing really seems to be jumping out at me. I can't believe I've done 24 of the 100 themes for the 100 Themes Challenge already. Just 76 more to go!

Hopefully I'll have some divine insight soon and I'll get back into the drawing mood again. I feel so empty without having anything to draw...

I can't say in words how much this means to me. I remember before I could read when I was about five or six, I'd see my parents reading the funny pages in the Los Angeles Times every Sunday, and them laughing out loud to this strip. The tiger was so cute! I told my mom "Mommy, I wanna read!" And she'd pull me in her lap, sit me down with this newspaper, and read me stories of Calvin's adventures. I was absolutely fascinated. And since Calvin and Hobbes has a pretty extensive vocabulary, that's where I got my grip on grammar and spelling. I loved that strip with all of my heart, and am grateful to have a dad that owns many of the collection books.

Hell, when I found a stray orange kitten in my yard in 1996, I named him Hobbes. Sure, he isn't nearly as smart as the real Hobbes is, but the name stuck.

I've been waiting for this day for ten years. And you know I'm buying the complete collection of strips. !! REJOICE WITH ME!!!
