OMG, listen!!! Genesis...they're....going on tour, it's gonna happen!!!!

MY FAVORITE BAND in the whole wide world I thought they would NEVER reunite but they did!!! They went into the studio in NEW YORK CITY (where they are RIGHT now!!!) and played a bit together to see if it felt right.

Now get this...


BBC has been informed, and i BELIEVE BBC because they are well respected, that Genesis have decided that it feels right and are going to reform the band for a new tour!!!!!!

Now get this!!!

A few guitar and music magazines, respected ones such as Classic Rock Magazine, have received INVITATIONS from Genesis to a NOVEMBER 7 press conference announcing their new tour!

Guys, oh my god, you have no idea how unbelivably excited I am!!! The genesis site was loading so slow today, and i figured some big news had happened, and it had!!!

This band is the soundtrack to my life, very important to me. Even if you dont know or care about Genesis, I DO!!! And this event...life changing...for me. I have to get to these concerts, yes, concerts, ill try for more than one!! I have to see them, I must go!!!

When i first read this i swear I was jumping up and down and man-squeeing and shouting various profanities because I was so excited! Most of those profanities preceeded by a "holy!"

It's really happening!!! And this is one of those rare moments in my life where I'm so happy I cannot even sit still!! *runs around the room*

The curators found the place fascinating, but felt that the Raceway Park sign would be enough. So we only retrieved that one artifact....but what a big one it was at 15 feet long!

The sign was hauled to the museum and offloaded to the back side of the museum. They intend to dismantle the sign and take the wood backing off of it, then hang up the metal portions of the sign, after they've been cleaned up, as they'll be much lighter that way and easier to mount.

I did receive a touch of disappointment however....it seems that there are many exhibits before mine that are scheduled to be done, and so they will have to leave the construction of the airport exhibit for next year.

I probably wont see my artifacts hanging on their wall until summer or fall of 2007. Disappointing, but, nothing I can do. At least they are now safe and preserved.

I may or may not continue this as a personal project, learning more about the terminal and the history, and i may or may not contact the Power County officials about trying to preserve that land. I don't know. I'm considering it though.


So, Phase 2 is complete. Phase 1 was last week when I brought in the first batch of artifacts and took those photos. Phase 2 was retrieving that sign and getting all the donation forms filled out. Phase 3 is the actual making of the exhibit and won't happen till next year.

A huge 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck the big island of Hawaii at 7AM hawaii time this morning.

It was followed by a 5.8 aftershock and a 4.-something aftershock after that. Three eathquakes.

The ground shook as far away as Hanalei, Kauai, which is just about as far away as you can get from the big island whilst still remaining in the state. Reports are heavy damage to property and businesses on the big island, power outages on ALL of the hawaiian islands, and cell and telephone service interruptions.

Power is just starting to come on now on Oahu and Maui, Kauai remains without power. Hilo has power. Emergency services responded fast and as of this time, no deaths have been reported. It seems no one was badly injured either. Thank goodness.

the location of the quake was north of Hualalai Volcano, on the northwest side of the big island. The epicenter was just offshore from some of the most expensive resorts in Hawaii. The governor of Hawaii was staying here at the time and got caught in the quake.

Landslides have occured on most of the islands. A bridge was damaged on the road to Hana on Maui. Many bridges and roads are out or impassable on the big island. This is the largest quake in Hawaii since 1989.

It will take a long time to repair all the damage, but at least no lives were taken.

Big news. Hawaii has a place in my heart and this news is important to me. Thought I'd share.

My onboard sound died. they say its yet another "unfortunate coincidence" that it died at the same time as my video card and the virus.

Well anyway, I'd vowed not to use my credit card anymore but I went to the DI store which is a place that sells secondhand stuff and there I found a SoundBlaster Live! sound card for only 3 bucks.

So i bought it and came home with it, installed it, and this card works great, I dunno why anyone ever gave it to the secondhand store but it's a very good card and my sound quality is a little better now than it was before.


So *I* fixed it this time around.

I should celebrate by playing a CD in the computer.

After having been online for 24 hours, the download tally is 400. 400 downloads in one day. That's pretty decent.

That is of course adding the numbers together from both Avsim and Flightsim, as I uploaded it at both sites.

As of this time, the patch file is receiving a separate 90 downloads on Avsim. It has not yet come online at flightsim. But compared to the avsim downloads of the parent file, the patch is netting 1/3 of the downloads of the parent. That means that for every 3 users, at least one needs the patch, or felt they needed it as a precautionary measure.


As of this time, I have received no bug reports from the general population, so it appears that the patch has fixed any issues that might have come up.



In other news: I'm without a computer again. Took the comp back to the shop to have them fix my dead sound. At first they said it'd be a quick 30 minute fix. so i stayed and waited. then it was 45 minutes, then they told me it'd be a few more hours, so i went to work.

Called them from work a few hours later, and the comp is completely torn apart because they can't figure out the problem. I wont get it back until tomorrow at least, that is, if they can figure out why the sound is dead. T_T

Oh well. Instead of surfing the net tonight, I think I'll sleep. goodnight.

I felt so bad about pieces of history just sitting out there rotting, that I decided to do something about it.

I called up the Bannock Historical Museum and told them what I'd found, and asked if they'd be interested in having those artifacts at their museum. They WERE, in fact they were excited at the prospect of having anything from our original airport, as they currently had nothing!

But they told me I'd have to obtain permission from the property owner, FMC, to extract the artifacts.

So I decided to be bold and approach FMC directly. I drove out to the site, walked right up to the FMC offices and knocked on their door. The person who answered was the head boss of the area, the property manager. When I told him what I was there for, he seemed overjoyed at the prospect of letting me preserve a piece of airport history. In fact, he himself was a history buff and began to tell me all this info about what used to be where at the airport, gave me tons of info and answered a lot of questions.

then told me I was free to explore the property as much as needed, all I need to do is check in with their secretary whenever I come out so that they know if anybody reports a trespasser...that it's only me.

I thanked him up and down, the man was very nice he even put his hand on my shoulder a lot of times while talking to me about the history of the airport.

Left there and went into the field, and found that the signs that I wanted to preserve were far too big to fit in my car. I'd need a truck.

I took a piece of the foundation of the terminal though. It weighed 100 pounds, but I could lift it...barely. Put that in the trunk of my car and drove to the museum, who helped me inside with the piece of foundation.

Told them about my sign problem and they gave me a number of a person with a flatbed truck who "owes them a favor", i can call him and arrange for him to help us retrieve the signs at the airport site. Then i went back to the site for more artifacts, and retrieved an antique cash register, a "race at your own risk" sign, a general admittance sign for the old go-kart racing area that used to be at the site, and....a new find....a piece of the original terminal wall.

This piece of rotting wood was laying beside a tree, bleached by the sun but fairly intact, a criss-cross framework of wall at least 50 years old. I picked it up and it fell to pieces right in my own hands. I was discouraged, but took the pieces anyway, which were full of spiders, and cleaned them off with a rag and loaded them into my car. Drove back to the museum and hauled that in, and then spent the next hour reconstructing that terminal wall.

Piece by piece, like fitting together a giant puzzle, I rebuilt the terminal segment that I'd retrieved. It had been part of the inner framework of the permiter wall, i deduced by looking at old photos, as the wood type was the same as the terminal structure as seen during construction, but not seen when the terminal was finished with its outer walls.

I felt really good about all this and asked the curators of the museum if they'd like to visit the site to see if there were any more items of interest that they'd like to have in their museum. They loved the idea, so next WEDNESDAY they are going to shut down the museum and all the workers there are going, with me, to take a "field trip" to the old site to retrieve artifacts.

FMC is completely okay with this!

It is on this day that I hope to have the truck out there to take the signs.


The museum is going to clear space on their walls and in a corner and create an exhibit under my name for the former McDougall Airport of Pocatello. An entire museum exhibit in my name!

There, they will show photos of the airport as it was in its day, and modern photos that I took of how it is now. They will mount the section of terminal wall as a display, as well as the terminal foundation segment, and also all the later stuff such as the dragway signs showing how the airport remained a part of our history even long after the last flight departed there.

This is amazing. I started the day being just one man with a wish to see these things preserved. I ended the day with a company, a museum, and an entire group of people all behind me with the same goal in mind. A piece of history will be preserved, and i don't mind saying that I'm proud of myself.

I went out and explored an abandoned airport just outside of my hometown....abandoned since 1952, it was later re-used as a drag strip, until the drag strip shut down many years ago. Now it sits out there disused and ignored.

The airport is McDougall Field, the original civilian airport of my city until the military released the larger air force base, then my town used the air force base as their major airport, leaving McDougall behind.

This web page on McDougall hadn't been given any new photos of the airfield since 2002, so I decided to help update the page by getting photos of my own. So i went out there, got 106 photos, and then came back and offered them to that website. They accepted.


I really wish that i had someone come with me today because it felt like an adventure, exploring something lost to time and forgotten by most, and having to break a few rules to do it, too. Got absolutely covered in stickers and weeds and seeds, lol. Made me feel like a kid again actually.


anyway, I want to share this adventure with you, with a pictorial tour of my day's adventure! This is the email I sent to Airfields-Freeman containing the new photos of McDougall for them to use. Okay, well I took quite a lot of photos. Because I'd never seen any of this before I wanted to capture lots of different areas of the airport, but most of what I saw is in similar condition, so many photos look like the same area, though they might be entirely different areas. I actually took 106 photos. I've uploaded them all to Photobucket, but i won't waste your time by linking to every single one, but i will link to a majority so that you have a very good collection of photos to depict how the airport looks currently.

And again if you want to use them on your site for an update, I'd be more than happy to see it. I actually took these for the purpose of helping your site. Well..that and a little bit of curiousity to explore an abandoned airfield helped too.


I started with the former tarmac, entered the field past a locked gate just to the west of where the former terminal stood. Walked north until I encountered pavement, which I believe was part of the former tarmac. On this pavement sat a number of tires and poles. Walked a little to the east, exploring the debris on the tarmac, before heading west again towards an abandoned shack. From there i worked my way clockwise around the airfield, following the taxiway west, then the runway back east to where i began. After that I walked along the tarmac again to the east, and finally found the remains of the original terminal building. Here's a picture tour of what I saw along the way:

However, my audio isnt working now....none of my driver installs have fixed the issue so I'll have to call the computer place and ask why I've lost my audio.

Anyway, this whole event was a blessing in disguise as a lot of bugs with my comp are no longer there. It still doesnt like to shut down, you have to force it to turn off, and there's that sound issue, but aside from that it's running a whole lot faster and smoother than it was before the virus.

I lost my desktop theme though, and i cant seem to find it online either, so I'll be stuck with standard Windows 98 layout. But I can't complain too much, its a heck of a lot better than having no computer at all.



The virus appears to be spreading fast. When i went to pick up my computer today, they said that 5 other computers had come in today with the same problem, and all had to have their hard drives wiped and start fresh, like mine. I, apparently, was the first in town to get the virus though. But this seems to be the next "big one" according to the store manager, it's damaging a lot of computers. So once again beware of unknown links.

In the course of my computer going berserk after encountering the virus...somehow, it wrecked my video card as well. So I had to replace it. Fortunately, I had two spare cards just lying around and one of those worked just fine to replace my very old Speedstar A90 that I had been using.

So:

total repair cost: $55

Total damages: Original desktop theme, audio, dead video card, dead operating system.
Gains: Video card upgrade, increased system stability.

Almost an even trade if I can get my sound back.


Anyway, I'm back. Hooray for me.

Just as I got finished with my airport this morning, I got an IM from a friend, yes a friend, on MSN, who pasted a link into the chat window and asked me if that was "me in that picture?"

So I clicked on the image.

Doing so caused a thousand error messages to come up, followed by the install of several strange programs, before my computer crashed, rebooted, and installed a virus into the deepest sectors of my hard drive.

the computer finished rebooting, then got tons of other error messages and memory errors before shutting down again, then rebooted, shut down, and kept doing that.

I almost cried, that computer is the only one I have and I'd just finished my airport when some absolutely despicable person sends me a virus.....how dare they!!!

I rebooted it into safe mode, and it actually stayed on this time, and found my airport...thank god it was still there....I then transfered everything over to my SECOND hard drive.

That's right, bitches, I got a second hard drive, it's not big, but it's just barely big enough to back up everything that was important to me. So whoever targeted me to have me lose everything.....you lose, asshole.

Backed up my files, called the computer place to have them fix my comp. Took it there and they'll need to do a complete reformat of my C drive, the virus can't be removed. Whatever kinda virus it is, its a really bad one, and if I'd only had one hard drive, I'd have lost absolutely everything.

But no, I had the second one, so I won't lose my stuff. What little I do lose can be replaced. And as a result of the reformat, I'll get a brand new copy of my operating system installed, which means minor bugs my computer was having before will be fixed.

So, I'll come out of this with a better computer, and an even stronger resolve to make sure I get that airport online.


NOW HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART:

As my computer was going berserk, I saw my MSN typing, by itself!!! the same sentence that had been sent to me, and send it back to the person who'd IMed me in the first place.

Thus, it is POSSIBLE, that this virus SENT ITSELF OUT over MSN to all of my contacts.

IF YOU GET A MESSAGE FROM MY ACCOUNT SAYING "IS THIS YOU IN THIS PIC??"

I hope, i pray, that this virus did not hit anyone in my messenger list, if it did, I'm sorry! It wasnt my fault!!!

Also, the person who sent me the virus, it may not have been their fault either, if they got it from someone else, and it sent itself to me through their MSN, then perhaps I wasnt directly targeted at all.

It's possible.


Anyway, if someone targeted me: You lose asshole because I still have all my shit. If I got the virus as a result of someone else getting it and it sending itself to me through their list, then I apologize to the person who IMed me who I sent a really steamed note not long ago.

Beware this MSN virus. It will reduce your comp to a hunk of quivering goo devoid of life. You cant remove it without a full format of the hard drive.

Please be careful, and sorry to any contacts that might have gotten that sent to them from my account, I DID NOT SEND IT.

I dont have flightsimulator installed on this computer but last night I got my unfinished airport file back, and i CAN run AFCAD on this computer, so I can sort of finish my airport!!!

I wont be able to add the trees around the roadways and parking lots as I planned, but oh well, at least it'll get done as far as the 2D side goes. With the new versions of Flight Simulator coming out on the 17th, i dont think it will matter anyway....

If I ever get enough money to buy a new computer, I'll just build an updated version for Flight Simulator X which is coming out, and that one I can include all those lovely trees on that i'd planned. Still there's tons of trees already...



I digress...

Currently I am painting automobile parking spaces at the terminal....there are hundreds of them. Still, once those are done all I need to do is lay down a little bit of roadway pavement and I am FINISHED.

Which means I still need my beta tester

First, the good news:


I was digging through a pile of stuff and found a backup CD that I'd made of all my Australia photos! Which means I can now start submitting them again, like I've been wanting to in forever!

So a lot of scenes from foreign skies and countries are coming your way. If you hate my photography, now would be the time to stop watching me, cos you're gonna see a lot of it coming over the next few weeks. I figure though that some of you will enjoy it considering that some of these photos are exotic, beautiful, and above all else....important to me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy submitting them.

Second good news:

Corporate did NOT show up to work today. So all that worrying I did was for nothing. Actually, that kinda frustrates me, cos i did triple duty for 5 days straight to prepare for them to come, then they didnt show, lol, jerks.


Not so good news:

I wrecked my car today. But it could have been worse. My brakes failed because it was raining so hard....a lady slammed on her brakes at a yellow light, when she coulda kept going because she had enough time and was going way too fast to just stop right then all the sudden. This caused me to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision, despite being two car lengths behind. And my brakes werent working, the car kept going, full speed ahead....

I freaked, spun the wheel as fast as I could and narrowly missed the van, all the while with my brake pedal to the floor. Then jumped the curb and landed in a Mcdonalds parking lot, where I continued to slide almost hitting a parked car, but i swerved and avoided that, too. When the car stopped i sat there for a few minutes shaking.....but i told myself "God brandon, that was some damn good driving on your part"

and it was....if I'd been any slower, I'd have rear-ended that van at a full 40 miles per hour. That speed would have likely totaled my car, and put me in the hospital, not to mention that i have no medical insurance! and my car insurance premium would skyrocket too. I'm lucky i didnt hit her!

Anyway, the lady was entirely oblivious to what took place just behind her, she didnt look my way at all as my car careened out of control past her van. Car didnt appear to be damaged, at least from where i sat inside...so i reversed it back onto the road, and the other cars kindly let me back in, after having seen what just happened.

Two blocks down from that point i turned a corner and my front hubcaps went flying off my car. I stopped, and ran back for them only to find that they were destroyed, the impact with the curb had damaged them beyond repair. I checked my car from the outside this time, and found a huge chunk of my front tire missing, but it wasnt flat, just missing a lot of rubber where it'd been gashed, and the tire rim itself was scraped, bent, shredded and ugly, sharp to the touch. Eventually ill need a new tire, and new rim. I cant afford it right now. But ill have to before that tire blows out, and it will, with a hole like that in it, i cant imagine it will hold for too long before it finally bursts.

So, I'm lucky to be here typing this journal, versus in a hospital perhaps from injuries. Coulda been a MUCH worse day for me. but it wasnt. and i found my pictures, so I'm happy.


My car looks dorky with only hubcaps on the REAR wheels now....

Now, the bad news:


Hell week is approaching. Starting today, and ending on Monday, I have to do triple-duty at my job to make sure everything, and I do mean every absolute possible thing....is clean...at the hotel, and that except for my lunch break I don't allow any down or rest time for myself at work.

the reason?

Corporate is coming. And the head of the company is a real asshole, so I've been told. I've never met him, but I was told today from coworkers and management alike that this corporate boss has no issue with firing people on the spot, and if he perceives you to not be working hard enough, has no problem with yelling at you in front of guests and telling you what a lousy job you're doing as an employee.

He's the type that, if he finds something wrong, he will hunt down whoever's job it is to take care of that issue, and rip them apart until there is nothing left of their self esteem.


Nobody understands why he acts this way. All my bosses at the hotel are laid back, but this corporate jerk has everyone on edge. He might show up tomorrow, or he might not show up till Monday, but, to be on the safe side, they want me making sure I'm busting my ass all the way up till monday should he happen to come around.

thats another thing, he sneaks in the back of the hotel when he shows up, and then surprises people with his presence. so if he happens to see me, for my sake and the sake of my bosses, they want him to find me already busy and hard at work on SOMETHING, ANYTHING, to keep this guy happy until he goes away.

I am nervous...to say the least. Knowing that one slip-up could cost me my job, no matter how much my bosses may approve of my work, the corporate boss can, and will, fire me if he feels like it, for any stupid reason he feels is appropriate.

This wont be easy on me, there is a finite amount of things to do at the hotel and I may have to find myself doing things over and over again throught the day to create the impression of being busy. Either way, from now till Monday the uncertainty of when he's showing up coupled with the huge workload is going to absolutely fry me.

Everyone's pretty nervous at the hotel, even my own bosses who usually don't do too much hands on work have been picking up spray bottles and doing their part to even clean up their very offices...yes...this guy thats coming even jumps on them if they dont have a neat, organized, polished.....desk.

So yeah, wish me luck. I'm going to need it. After monday I get my days off and wont come back to work till the following thursday, by then corporate will be gone. Hooray. Till then, this is gonna be my challenge.

This journal covers a lot of ground...if you can bear with me.....


Thank you guys....for all of the support. I truly didnt think that many would care, but my last journal got 41 responses....and not a single one, not one, was negative. Everyone supported me, everyone backed me, and this helped me to feel that I'm not so alone. I only wish more of you were closer to me, geographically, so that OL friendships could become IRL. Maybe someday....

I even got contacted by some people that barely know me, offering words of support, and that also impacted me....it amazes me that people care. I wonder why so many people care online, but so few do in real life.....it doesn't make much sense.

But thank you for being there....this might not be the last time I feel so isolated that I need to be reassured that I'm ok being who I am....sometimes, as much as I want to like myself, its hard to if everyone around me is coming down on me, or misjudging me. It's one thing to have a minor argument or disagreement among friends, its another to have someone accuse you of something so evil and inhuman that it defies explanation.

I am a good person, i always have been, and always will be. How people confuse my willingness to care with being a criminal, i dont know, but some say that being "too nice" makes you suspicious to others...but I don't want to be a jerk either.

All I can be is me. And hope that that's good enough, which, for most people, it isnt. It really isnt. I dont know why either.


I've withdrawn into myself IRL. I dont talk to anyone at work now....i put on headphones (im allowed to) and dont pay attention to anything but my work unless someone directly talks to me or calls me on the radio. Aside from that, i keep to myself. My co-workers apologized to me, by the way, for the way they treated me. They explained they were all having a bad day.

I understand that.....but it doesnt take away the memory of it....and although we are on good terms now, i generally don't approach them anymore. i dont bother them. out of sight....out of mind.

On a much lighter note....does anyone here like 80s music? Maybe I'm one of the rarities...I really like the dated sound, gated drums, and rawer feel of that older music. Anyway, I've been listening to this album a lot lately and thought, if there's any other 80s fans here, maybe you guys would like it too. Actually I know Mjangelvortex likes Genesis, so this might be right up her alley, since its by one of the Genesis members. Keyboardist Tony Banks. Seriously this thing is one of the best things I've ever heard.

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine, and been hit with something that really has gotten to me emotionally. This friend, my friend Katie, one of my very few IRL friends, is currently living with her husband and father in law. the father in law has had me as a guest in their house a few times, and has heard about my exes, because i visited there when i was still dating Ellen.

He has formed the opinion that I am a pedophile...because I dated someone under the age of 18. That isnt illegal, when i dated Emma i looked it up to make sure, and as long as nothing sexual was happening, I was legally okay. Nothing sexual happened, with any of my exes, at all.

But that doesn't matter to him. Katie stuck up for me, but, he wouldn't listen. I am not allowed in that house, and he has told his extended family that I'm no good, and has them watching out for my car, in case i show up. This has prevented me from seeing one of my best friends for a month now, i didnt find out until today that this was the reason.

That alone made my cry....how could people think that about me? I've been calleda pedophile so many times....IM SICK OF HEARING IT!!! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!!!

Emma was a mistake, a disaster, but Ellen was worth every minute that I spent with her. Those are the only two I ever dated that were underage while I was not, every person i was with before Emma happened before I was 18, and they were all either my age or I dated an 18 and a 19 year old when I was just 16! Age differences happen...were those girls pedophiles too, for dating me when i was underage? No? Then why the hell does that make me one?

People dont care, they just assume the worst, and then state it as being fact....

I know i shouldnt let this bother me, after all, her father in law is of no consequence to me......nor is the extended family of in-laws, but it really gets to me that this group of people now think that I'm a sicko, and no one is interested in my side of the story. "You dated a 16 year old, you're a bad person!"

No one gives a shit.



But it doesnt stop there. Katie's husband is being influenced by all this, and now he also has a problem with me....I've helped him out so much, stood up for him, let him and her borrow things from me, stood by them when everyone else deserted them, if nothing I've been a strong, consistent friend....but no, i get thrown away. He told me once that he considered me a brother. What a lie.

Can't trust anybody. I guess this means I only have two friends instead of the three i thought....Rhaebekah, and Katie, who i rarely see due to conflicting work schedules, or in Katie's case, conflicting family issues.

Why don't I have more IRL friends? All my friends are here online.....i bet if half of you knew me in person maybe you wouldnt want to be my friend anymore, it seems to be a curse. People can only care about me...from a distance. I did nothing to deserve this, but i get it just the same. Why me? What have I ever done to deserve this? I've been nothing if not kind, loyal, and open with people, i only fight with one individual currently who kinda has needed a knock on the head, but does that make me a bad person?

WTH. I doubt anyone will care about this rant. And most of you are 16 year olds anyway....so, i guess the fact that I'm writing this here, in view of minors, means that I'm a pedophile. Lock me up, I'm guilty of talking to minors.

People are fucking evil. And yeah, I'm cussing. Be sure to tell everyone how immature I am for doing so, tell your parents that I'm evil, tell anyone that will listen that Brandon is a bad person. I'm fucking tired of this god damn game.

I had a shift from hell, front desk people snapped at me all day. thought about quitting, but i cant afford to. What the heck....this seems to happen at every job....maybe it's me.

for the life of me i cannot understand why people dislike me, what i ever did wrong to them....but here we go again. and i wont get to tell my side of the story to the boss until monday.

this sucks, and im stressed again, and i dont want to lose my job, but i dont want to work around people who dislike me either, but.....since it happens at every job i know that if i get a new workplace the same thing will happen...

As a result my tiny little airport got some BIG PLANES today!

I didnt even know until I got to work and had to drive a pilot to the airport. when I arrived I saw a Delta MD-88, Delta 737-800, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines CRJ-200 parked at our terminal, and apparently an Allegiant MD-82 had also been here earlier in the day at PIH.

I was thrilled....so I stuck around for a bit after I dropped the pilot off. The MD-88 taxied away from the gate, and took off on our runway with a jet roar that our airport doesn't often experience!! It was....forgive me...it was utterly orgasmic for a plane nut like me. I was all bouncing up and down and yelling as I stood at the fence, hehe. "Yeah baby!!!"

I then got back in my van to drive back to work and saw the 738 starting to move, so i stopped at the terminal, ran up to the observation deck, and jotted down the registration of the plane and watched it take off again, while little kids waiting for their puddlejumper flight to SLC pressed their faces against the windows at the comparitively gigantic plane taking off.

The CRJ remained, but i decided to return to the hotel. I was so excited, and even driving back home i could see the smoky trail of the MD-80 streaking the sky in the distance as she climbed higher on her way back to SLC. What a beautiful plane, what an exciting day!!

I always get excited anytime anything "new" or different comes to our airport, wishing we had jetliner service for most of my life, its like the realization of a dream everytime one stops here, even if its only a weather diversion. The last time i saw a large jet here was when American Airlines flew a chartered 757 into PIH carrying soldiers returning from Iraq.

Anyway....sexy planes paid my city a visit.

We Will Never Forget





A picture they say is worth a thousand words. To me, this is worth 2,997, one for each life taken on September 11, 2001.

We will rebuild. This is the final design for the new World Trade Center. It will be done by 2012. The footprints of the twin towers will forever remain a memorial to those who died, and the beauty of the construction here marks respectfully the final resting place of so many, and is the symbol of our rebirth. Targets to be sure, these towers while beautiful will be vertical fortresses, capable of withstanding almost anything. They will always stand tall, proud, and in defiance of those who sought to break the spirit of the free world 5 years ago.

As we draw to a close our rememberances, our tributes, our recollections of that day 5 years ago, never forget, and never given in, one day we will avenge what was done to us, one day we will wear the enemy down until he cannot fight any more. Until then we continue to survive, and go about our daily lives, in our new, less innocent world. This is my final word, my final tribute, as I return to my daily routine as well. I dedicate this journal, insignificant as it may be...to their memory. May they rest in our hearts, our memories, and in peace.

On CBS.com they have a documentary online about 9/11, the same thing as their TV special but you can watch it online. It's about two hours long.

Here's why you should see it: They have footage from INSIDE Tower 1 on 9/11, after the tower had been hit. You see the people leaving the building, see the firefighters trying to handle the situation, you hear the glass and debris falling, and the bodies hitting the lobby roof...you are INSIDE the building as Tower Two collapses.

This is NOT a dramatization, NOT a recreation, this is actual footage, from that day, the real deal. All shot by two frenchmen who were making a documentary on firefighters, who ended up being right in the middle of the WTC collapse.

You have to see this. It blew me away, and offers a perspective of 9/11 few of us have, to this day, ever seen.

I've pretty much run out of things to submit. All of my photos are still on my previous computer, and since this comp doesnt have space for them, i have to wait until i can either buy a new hard drive, or, buy a new computer for my aunt so that i can get my old one back. whichever comes first.

once i get my photos back i can start submitting again, but until then, any art submissions will be quite infrequent. to my aviation-loving watchers...in time there will be more material to wet your appetite...just hang tight.

in the meantime im still here journal-wise.


In other news, I saw World Trade Center (with Nicholas Cage) today....it too brought back a lot of memories, but I thought the movie could have been much better than it was. Still, seeing some scenes at the beginning of the movie with the smoking WTC towers looming high overhead really hit me....as real as the day that it all happened. Still, United 93 was better.

Watched United 93 (theatrical movie) and Flight 93 (TV movie) back to back the other night, it tore me apart....the memories it brought back of that horrible day....

the pain, fear, confusion, uncontrollable rage at those responsible...sometimes, it feels as fresh as yesterday.

I worked all day today, had no time, no chance at all, to see any of the memorials, tributes, or anything relating to 9/11. and nobody spoke of it.

I tried to talk to coworkers about the event, but they blew it off in favor of joking about other things, which to be honest, irritated me. but, its been 5 years, and i should expect that not everyone will care anymore. but i do. and the memory will always be in me. for as long as i live. even if, most of the year, i dont think of it, every 9/11 some faded echo of that day will once again surface, it always does. and i imagine, in some small way, always will.


so, respect to all those who died, and may we continue to avoid a repeat of anything so disastrous as what occured that day. in time, i hope, we can fry the terrorists one by one, until none are left standing. (this statement is not open for debate, im stating how i feel.)

that's it for me. I'll never stop hating al-qaida and their sympathizers, and despite my admittedly strong opposition to the current administration in the US, i do have to give them credit for, thus far, preventing anything from happening here since 9/11.

I know where I stand, and I know that I'm an honest person and would not lie about such a thing. So...whatever, not gonna let it bother me despite the fact that i feel ever so slightly hurt by it, but not gonna let it ruin my existence.

Those of you who doubt my honesty clearly don't know me, and id just as soon have you quit watching me than get all up in my face with accusations of stretching the truth. please. don't make me laugh. I'm not a liar. That's not to say that I've never been wrong before, but I don't mislead people.

so, sorry to anyone who feels that way about me but, ive never done anything to make anyone believe me to be dishonest, so in this case, the problem is entirely yours, not mine.

Others were midly skeptical, but not unkind, and this does not apply to them. All i can say to you guys is to have faith, i doubt our concerns will come true, as in the past all our fears about the potential "disaster" that could fall in the wake of a new stitch movie...have come to naught. no disaster occured, nor will it occur. so relax. i used to worry just as much, but you can only be pleasantly surprised so many times before you tell yourself...maybe disney does know what they're doing after all.

to my friends who never questioned me at all, thank you. its nice to have support, and be believed. The rest...well...i wish you luck in working out your problem, cos it isnt mine.

First...how this all got started...what follows in italics is what I already posted on Kila's page:

Steve....voiceactor626 here on DA, spoke with chris sanders directly just a week ago.

in their conversation about stitch and all things stitch....chris mentioned that Leroy and Stitch was not the end.

Steve asked: "So is Leroy and Stitch the last we will ever see of Stitch?"

Chris Sanders replied: "Stitch is going to be a character that never has an end, though he may have periods where he is not in the spotlight. You can (he winked) expect to see more of the little trog in upcoming years."

There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. There will be more stitch, this isnt the end, though it might be the beginning of a quiet period, some years from now, another stitch movie WILL be coming.

Okay, that should bring everyone else up to date.


After posting this info I noticed a very mixed reaction, some were happy but others were going "no! what can they possibly make a movie out of now?" others talked about how disney is just milking stitch for money. Okay, first off, disney is a business, and of course they want to make money. they want that from every single character. that's life.

but....we're the ones who benefit from being fans, having more stitch material to watch and enjoy. yes, we give up our money to do so, but so what? it's stitch, we love him. i dont mind parting with some money to see the stitch story continue. I'd rather THAT, than see stitch disappear into history, never to return.


Those of you that wondered what kind of a story they'd come up with....let me remind you that the television studio that wrote, on occasion, some really crappy story lines for the series...will NO LONGER be involved in stitch. They're done. Leroy and Stitch was the last of the tv-studios' stitch creations. So if there ever is another stitch movie, it wil be done by the actual studio itself...which means...likely better quality, both in animation and storyline, and perhaps direct involvement from chris sanders again like he did on Stitch Has A Glitch.


They'll find a story to come up with, they always do, and it'll surprise us all. Before Stitch the Movie came out, then before the series came out, and then before Leroy and Stitch came out, and even before GLITCH came out, I, and several others here, were sitting here screaming in our journals "oh noes! they're gonna screw up the storyline! it wont be true to the original! it'll destroy stitch! what a stupid plot!" etc etc...

We were ALL proven wrong EACH and EVERY time. Well, those of us who whined that is, myself included.

Being as how Leroy and Stitch, recently, did exactly that...proved my fears wrong, I no longer fear that if disney makes another stitch movie that it will "lack" quality. I've been proven wrong on four separate occasions already (that's including the series) and so I feel rather comfortable that Disney knows what it's doing when it comes to stitch, surprisingly.

I would urge you all to do the same...take a look at what we feared before these movies came out, and then take a look at what they actually did...they were all better than expected. each one. and all of us i think were afraid of too many stitch movies making stitch feel stale or uninteresting...that also has not happened.

so if disney makes another what's to say that it won't be the same? a pleasant surprise?


they'll come up with a story. And it'll be a good one. And stitch will continue to live on. I, for one, would not have it any other way. Even if it's not as good as Glitch, id rather have stitch live, I'd be more disappointed to see him be shoved into the past and forgotten about. Or are some of you losing your love for the little blue alien....?

.....I'm ok with angel now.

I'm not sure why exactly but over time I've grown to care less and less about angel's seductive side, which I once had a huge problem with. Perhaps due to my own issues with sex and the idea of stitch ever having sex....i know that concept used to bother me quite a bit.

But now, I just dont care. I'm more secure now than I've ever been, dealt with thoe issues I was having, and if stitch were a real person or creature he has just as much right to love who he chooses to love as anyone else in my view now.

I may not particularly like angel as much as the others...in fact I've seen a dozen fan experiments that would make better mates for him...but...if he loves angel, I respect his choice. lol.

Just thought I'd throw that out there cos a number of friends here are angel loves who I have respectfully disagreed with for quite some time...but I've changed my mind. I'd still rather stitch be with someone better, but still, it dont bother me anymore. as much as i love and identify with him, i do have much better things to worry about.

With that, I have begun to fav fanart that includes angel...if its well drawn and cute why not? Dun care anymore.

I'm finally starting to get over Ellen, which is healthy for me, i really needed to. I was in a sad emotional state for the last two weeks but now finally i feel happier...moving on.

Listening to some fantastic music right now, and been playing it in the van at work when i pick people up from the airport...I missed hearing my music at work.

Things are looking up....this month will be tight but soon I expect to be in a better financial spot and maybe start travelling a little bit again, I would like to get out and go somewhere...maybe go spot planes at Salt Lake or something. Too bad i dont have anyone to go with, but oh well.

Once my income gets better I also want to start buying some of my LP albums on CD....currently I have a lot of records, but i cant play them in the car....they never made a car stereo turntable

Also, something dawned on me last night....that maybe some people think I'm a bit too open considering my age and all. Let me clarify: I dont care!

I'm me and I'll post what I want to. If you guys enjoy reading my various stuffs thats awesome, if someone is annoyed by it its really not my problem and i wont blame myself for that anymore, no reason to, and im happy with just being me.

I'm thinking about putting stamps in my journal...because I can.

DA is slower than crap these days did you notice...i have hi-speed DSL and even then it still loads slowly for me. Seems like they still have alot of bugs to work out with V5.

Anyway, ust though I'd say something to get that depressing journal off my front page....

It broke again today. Not as bad as last time, sprung a slow leak...all mechanic shops are closed till tuesday cos of the holiday....damn.

Hope my car makes it to tuesday, and then im hauling it back there and demanding they fix it right this time, and i aint paying them one red cent either. They were paid almost 300 dollars to fix it the first time, and they shoulda damn well fixed it RIGHT the first time!

It breaks after a week. I aint paying them shit to clean up their mistake.

fortunately the part is under warranty so they shouldnt even ask to be paid, they better not. they got 275 bucks. Fix it.

Nothing was normal today....got to work and immediately had to leave again to go take some packages to UPS that a guest wanted shipped off....they were pillows. O_o

Came back and then had several shuttle runs to the airport which put me kinda behind on cleaning, but the hotel wasnt that dirty so it was okay...

checked the maintenance work log and saw that a lot hadnt been done as far as fixing things today...so i went down the list and got it all done....replace lights in one room, replace light cover in another, take out fridge and microwave in another, and fix curtain holder that had been broken off the wall in another room. That took a half hour...the screws were stripped out and i had to keep running back and forth to my maintenance office for various parts and a power drill. but, got that done after arguing with the hotel wall for a bit about letting me get the screws to go into it.

Then things were calm for a couple hours before the floodgates of guests opened up.....two large groups slammed our hotel....a Korean tour group on their way to Yellowstone stopped by with two busloads of people, and a Girls volleyball school team also took up residence at the hotel....and where did all these guests go? the pool.

Towels disappeared fast, and kept disappearing as fast as i could restock them. Girls in bikinis with wet feet were running all over the hotel, leaving water on the tile for me to dry up, and packs of korean tourists were treading on said water leaving lots of muddy footprints everywhere.

Then i get a new call. Flood in room 165. Great. toilet water.

Grab the plunger and arrive to find that the room is under 2 inches of water....all of this from the TOILET. Plungerd it and got it to stop flooding, then began the long process of cleaning up all that water. Got it done. Health code says we have to move the guest to a different room because the toilet water that leaked was "soiled", as in, someone had just taken a dump in the toilet when it began to flood. Thus, that room was a biohazard.

Problem: Room was an apartment suite...and 5 people and 4 kids were in it...and being that the hotel was very close to sold out, the best we could do was move them into a double-queen suite......not nearly the size of the apartment suite....and our hotel doesnt have rollaways, and only had one crib left...and due to fire code there was no way i could move a mattress in there for them. Did the best i could to accomodate them, helped them move everything of theirs into that room, which entailed going up three stories with me being completely weighted down with suitcases and backpacks, but we got it done.

front desk suggested we give them a second room to accomodate a couple of the guests so that they wouldnt all be packed into this much smaller suite...the guests liked the idea and so a second room was set up and once again i helped in that move as well, and brought the crib upstairs too. then i had to fetch extra blankets. the guests werent happy with their situation, but thanked me for my help. They didnt give me a tip tho....woulda been nice....oh well.

so after all that drama i come back down and its 15 minutes past the end of my shift and all the pool towels are gone again...but i was told not to worry about it and just go home for the night. but in the midst of that, one of the front desk people for some reason thought i told the guests that their second room would be free....and they were upset about that. but i clarified that i never told the guests it would be free, i told them they'd have to talk about the price with the manager the next morning, thats all i said. anyway, one of the girls said she'd make sure the manager knows, tomorrow, that i didnt volunteer a free room...i didnt...and doing so could get me in trouble...you dont volunteer free rooms...i know that. So i hope it'll be alright....

Geeze.

My budget is tighter than tight right now, ill barely make it through september, but in october my income will stabilize a bit, and come january, after i get my friend paid off, my income will shoot up...i can put away enough to get me about $1,500 by july of 2007, so im aiming for august or september.

I will meet stitch at the character breakfast if i am lucky, and ride on the new pirates! Staying for 5 days, plenty of time. I think i can do this...i owe it to myself anyway, i work harder than hard, i deserve a vacation eventually.

so that's my goal. disney 2007. cant do WDW....nor hawaii....nor australia but there's no need for that now that i dont have a gf there....so yeah, disney. Stitch. Happiness. Yay.

wish me luck in getting enough money, but im gonna go for it. I'm gonna try.

I cant believe it!!! Leroy and Stitch blew me away!!! I was expecting it to be terrible, the prospect of Lilo and Stitch splitting up, but it wasnt what I expected!!!!

The council doesnt split them up, it kind of happens naturally because all of the "ohana" kinda lose sight of what's most important...now i have to say i disagree that stitch would be so willing to leave Lilo after all they have been through but it was all done tastefully and in a way that didnt offend me as a diehard lilo and stitch fan....

Leroy was awesome in design, deplorable in attitude but he did exhibit alot of stitch-like traits which at times were kind of cute.

And omg the line from Pleakley "I'm wearing the wig!" OMG....I thought I was gonna die laughing at that...

Animation in some parts of stitch himself was kinda poor but that's a minor annoyance....the story here was extremely strong. This film had everything that Stitch! The Movie lacked.

It had tons of emotion, a strong story, tons of action and even a few nailbiting moments that kept me on the edge of my seat! Honestly I have to say that despite my reservations towards the TV animation crew in the past, I truly felt that this movie couldn't have been done better (except animation-wise) had it been done by a studio crew like Lilo and Stitch 2 was!!

Impressed...thoroughly and completely....I would have liked to have seen the original "Leroy" turned to good, as he is just as cute as stitch and would have made a fantastic "good" experiment, but oh well.

The ending was hillarious as well....Jailhouse Rock with hamsterviel and all the Leroy clones...omg....so original!


This was the ultimate series-based movie. Blows STM right out of the water, and ranks right up there with the original and Stitch Has A Glitch....if you havent seen it already....run...dont walk...to the store and buy it...NOW.

I truly hope this is not the official end of the stitch franchise at Disney, and that in the future we do get some more movies...but even if we dont, this movie was a powerful, interesting, captivating, emotional, edge-of-your-seat and attention grabbing close to the series and certainly the best thing the television crew has churned out relating to stitch to date.

Cant stop gushing here about this film....DO NOT be put off by the thought of lilo and stitch separating, don't let it prevent you from watching this, it all works out in the end, and the voyage along the way will be among some of the best scenes any stitch fan will have seen among the 4 movies and series put out thus far.


And you know what's amazing...that "feeling" i had inside when I'd leave the theatre after the original in 2002...is back again....i remember in 2002 feeling my life change as a result of that movie...feeling this...emotion inside that's pretty indescribable....its like a complete rush.

I feel that rush again. Leroy and Stitch did it for me. Thank god. This is the most excited I've felt since....July.

Firstly, my boss was overjoyed at the work I did on the back side of the hotel, but because I'd worked almost 4 hours of overtime, he had to send me home 4 hours early yesterday to make up the difference otherwise corporate would have his head.


Secondly...I bought Leroy and Stitch...finally....gonna watch it today and let you all know what I think of it...because I am the man...and what I say matters to everyone.


Thirdly, and most importantly...I have a question. Is it wrong to need space after a breakup, from anyone that reminds you of that time...until you heal?


While I feel very confident in myself lately due to all the work I am doing, work is the only place I feel happy with myself, but here at home I feel guilty because of the whole australia thing and the fact that lately I've needed a lot of space so that I could heal. I have deliberately made myself unavailable on MSN so that nobody would talk to me, and although I keep yahoo on its usually connected while I'm at work so I never catch anyone's messages in time anyway.

The fact is that Emma really destroyed me emotionally inside but I did my best to conceal my hurt but I still wasnt entirely over her until Ellen came along. Ellen completely healed that wound and being a close friend before becoming my girlfriend.... I found it extremely hard to get over her. And whenever we speak I feel like I want to fall in love with her again knowing full well that the feeling isnt mutual....and it tears me apart. that's not her fault....Ellen did the most amazing thing by letting me go before I could get hurt....she didnt let me waste a long period of my life believing in something that wasnt there....and for that I am thankful. she's not like emma, she was honest at least.

So please dont take this as anything against Ellen, it hardly is. But I am struggling still with trying to move on and some days I feel I have and other days I know I havent. So in order to ease this pain....I disappeared. I have not spoken to Ellen very much at all lately, and have not spoken to any of my other friends from australia that I met through emma at all lately. I pushed everybody from that continent away from me...I needed space.

But is doing so wrong or rude or mean? I dont mean to be selfish or anything like that, I just feel alot of hurt when I speak with them right now and it takes time to heal....I didnt abandon them, but I do need the space. Would you do the same if you had your heart broken? would you want some space for a time to heal?

I want to keep my friendships intact including the one I have with ellen, but I'm trying to juggle my emotions about knowing that i need time...and knowing that taking that time is probably hurting them.

What would you do? Ellen is still the girl of my dreams and unless i can find someone like her over here it's going to continue to be hard for a very long time to forget that I loved her...and the last thing I want to be or even resemble...is another Minimoose.

I worked 12p-8p today, and my tasks for the evening were to scrub the pool tile...and "trim the hedges and trees outside".

Pool got done in an hour and the boss, just before he left, showed me some areas of the hotel that needed trimming. OK. so i got to work on that and in the process of my snipping away at overgrowth I noticed that one whole side of the hotel facing a major roadway looked like it hadnt been trimmed in YEARS....so being a workaholic I decided I'd be the one to tackle it....

I trimmed for about 3 hours....cutting through the overgrowth and discovering that at one time this hotel was in fact landscaped! And that all these trees and shrubs and such had grown over and hidden all of these nice looking retaining walls and rock gardens and things....and having been hidden under all this "shrubbery" these things had become quite dirty so i cleaned them all off and....at 11:30pm...3.5 hours into overtime, I finally finished my "restoration project".

From 8pm to 11:30 I did nothing but haul clippings to the garbages....up hills, down hills, stairs, sweeping...god...it was an eternity to clean up that mess but I finally did. I cant wait to show my boss tomorrow, I hope that makes him happier than the downside to him of having to pay me an overtime wage of 10.50 an hour for that extra time it took me to finish the task. At any rate, one whole side of the hotel looks gorgeous again and not so much like an untamed jungle.

However...

I am SORE. And I have hives all over my neck and arms. >.< And one of my stomach muscles is really sore compared to the others, wonder if i pulled it....man im gonna feel this in the morning....but at any rate I think that maybe my overachieving style is catching up to my body physically...lol...i keep pushing myself to work harder and harder because I'm proving my own self worth to myself....the more i do and do well the more confident i feel...its like an addiction...to work.

My check came in today and i took the car out of town to a shop I'd heard great things about....was there from noon until 4 pm....and they inspected my car bumper to bumper and ran a diagnostic on it...and fixed a host of problems with it.

The good news is that the transmission wasnt dying as i feared....instead i had a bad leak in my transmission pan, which they replaced. changed fuel filter, did a complete tune up, oil change, tranny fluid change, topped off antifreeze and wiper fluids, inspected my wiring, changed my car battery, fixed my long-broken AC (I now have COLD air!!! ), and discovered that my headlights were on the verge of burning out...replaced those too.

Decided to have a little fun...since im replacing my headlights...why not go blue? so i did...i got these awesome, way cool BLUE plasma headlights, and PURPLE hi-beams....they look so freaking awesome on my car...totally rad....

Total repair cost including labor: $419.50....a steal!

These guys are amazing...really...ill go to them in the future for any repair needs.

So i drove the car back home and all my problems were gone, no stalling, shaking, dying, no sluggish accelleration, no problems whatsoever...its like i have a brand new car again....yayness.

Now, when i get the money, me being a plane freak...im gonna put a fin on the back...why the hell not...if i have the money to spare i might as well have a little fun with it!!! My car is already awesome tho with those blue beams....mmmmm....blue headlights...totally me...but blue beams with a tailfin...hell yeah...

Today sucked. Got to work and a coworker was being an asshole....cos i couldnt find the large toilet paper rolls for the bathrooms which needed replacing and he ridiculed me saying that i ought to know by now where they were...but id never been shown.

Being mad at me he went and got said toilet paper rolls and threw them at me, hitting my injured hand in the process. i got pissed and reported him to the general manager...he said he'd speak with him.

around noon, same asshole employee confronted me and said i hadnt cleaned the bathrooms. bullshit, i scrubbed them spotless. he cussed at me and said i didnt mop or do "fukin anything" and stormed away....once again i reported to the general manager.

who in turn talked to the employee in question, and said employee then confronted me once again about ratting him out to the boss...and his girlfriend, who happens to be my direct manage (manager of housekeeping) proceeded to yell at me up one side and down the other and told me if I EVER reported her boyfriend to anyone but her in the future she'd have me fired...and if i ever asked a question of any manager except her, my fate would be the same. she was yelling pounding her fists and clenching her teeth.

i figured...what the hell...i dont deserve this and im worth more than this.

She told me to go home...i asked if i could speak in my defense...she said "only if you want to piss me off". okay...have it your way....i said "i thought you saw me as a good employee"

And with that...i walked out of the hotel, went across the street to their competitor...told them my story...and was hired immediately. Apparently this other hotel has been trying to contact me for a month....id put an application there before...


they asked what i was being paid. They added 50 cents to that to start me off. Now making $7 an hour...instant raise! i now also get medical and dental benefits after 6 months...and...a 401K plan. Hurrah.

they were also impressed that i can do all that i do with just one arm....they were concerned about my damaged limb but they can live with me having one arm for a couple weeks...as long as i can do most of what is required of me...and i CAN.

they seemed nice and assured me that lots of people have left the holiday inn because of my boss, and they are all quite happy at the competing hotel. So, yay.

They told me theyd love to start me immediately, but its up to me whether i wanna wait out my 2 weeks notice at holiday inn (which i havent submitted yet) or if i wanna jus walk out of that hotel and walk into theirs. I told them i was concerned itd leave a bad mark on my resume if i walked out, plus i can never be hired at another holiday inn if i do...they said it was my choice, but that a month long job doesnt even need to be referenced on a resume....still, if i ever move and wanta job at a holiday inn id be shit outta luck. Hmm.

Dunno...walk out? Easiest choice....or...hang tough for two weeks and hope i survive?

talked and talked and talked some more....ranging from how much i missed her already to how id never date anyone again, to contemplating suicide and venting about how clearly undesirable i am to sobbing about how i could never love someone more than her...that she cant be replaced.

the advice, as well ran the gamut...from "give her space and time and remain friends and you might be together again someday" to "just go to the bar, find a nice girl to take home and get yourself laid"

i dont think getting laid is the answer to my problems. i dont think i can ever replace her....i cant imagine loving someone more than i do her....some think i have a chance in the future...others spent much time trying to convince me that ellen would never come back and that i needed to move on NOW. one friend even tried to set me up on a double-blind date but i cant....i still love ellen.

if ellen dated i know id be torn apart...why do that to her if there are any feelings left inside of her for me i dont want to damage those feelings....i want us to be together.

half of me is missing now....a huge fucking hole takes her place....


to add to what is missing the pain in my hand grew unbearable today and i took it to the doctor. diagnosis: severe trauma to the tendons. My hand is now completely immobilized...i am one handed. no function in my right hand for the next 8 days until my checkup. i am typing this all with one hand.

i now feel like an invalid....i cant sign my name now, i had to have a friend do it for me. cant carry loads and open doors at the same time, cant type normally, cant eat normally, cant shower normally...have to wrap my arm....cant even brush my teeth normally. 50% functional. not fun. gives me new respect for people who have to go years or lifetimes with bad or injured limbs...

hand pain is constant...on a scale of 1-10 10 being worst its a steady 6 right now....if i try to move it, its worse. so ive lost my right hand for the time being.

I need your help....

Ellen is suffering depression just like me. And just like me she's confused....and i think she's at the point of pushing people away because she feels so worthless....she's been talking of suicide...talking of death....same thing i do...

I spent an hour trying to talk to her about it but i need more help, i need you guys, i need you bad. First of all, i know she loves me, and i love her. Desperately. ellen is my soulmate, i know it....i just know it...our story doesnt end here. Even if she does break up with me i know we will be back together because there is no way that two people who have as much in common as we do can stay apart. We cant.

but she needs love, she needs support, she needs comfort, help unwinding her confusion. I'm trying...lord knows that ive been trying....but im only one person, i can only do so much.

Some of you dont know her very well, some of you do. And i know some of the people that watch me have had a crush on her before....i ask you to please not take this as an opportunity to try to date her....i know tht me and her are meant to be together. but what i need, what i care about, is her feelings, her emotions, and above all else, her LIFE.

I injured myself at work, attempting to lift an 80 pound bag of trash into my portable trash bin that i roll around the property. it musta had phone books or something it it but it was the heaviest thing ive ever had to lift at my job and me being me...i refused to ask for help, refused to split the load to make it easier....always a self punisher i told myself i could do it...and when i realized i couldnt, i did it anyway.

The result was the dislocation of two fingers on my hand....not sure but i might have hurt the tendons as well. It hurt like a son of a bitch too...one of the coworkers was laughing at all the cursing i was doing at that moment, lol.

Anyway...i refused to see a doctor. i am broke. i dont have the money. so i grabbed a first aid kit and fixed it myself. Pressed the fingers back which hurt twice as bad as originally, then wrapped them tightly in a long cloth wrap and worked one handed for the rest of the day, did surprisingly well even on just one hand.

Thumb and two fingers are still functional so i am able to type but this big ass bandage ill probably have to keep on all weekend till the pain goes away. No...no doctors. No money. It'll heal.

Hehe....well then....melvin.....I found a rare plant at the store today and bought it. It's a White Bird of Paradise....the tropical flowering plant featured on the tail of Aloha Airlines, except mine is albino instead of multicolor. The plant is a little beat up from being shipped to that store i guess but i shall take good care of it and hopefully it will flower...it has huge flowers on long stemps that look like a bird in flight and if ever one forms in my house i will take a pic of it and post it on DA. Yay. Sadly one of my palm trees died so i took it back today. Oh well. I'll save up and get me a Chinese Fan Palm instead.

But what I'd really like in my house is an Ellen. Quite rare actually, i think there is only one unique type, but I've fallen in love with it and must have it.

The problems between Steve and I are not only his fault but mine as well. For as long as I can possibly remember save for a brief time when we barely knew each other...steve and I have not gotten along. We have existed on varying, but always declining, levels of tolerance for each other until recently it reached a point of pure unadulterated hatred.

This hateful sickness is not normal for me as i usually do all i can to not bring hate into my life or the things i say or do but steve is, by now, well known to be the exception. Likewise...he hates me....passionately...so...in that we are equal.

We could leave it at that....avoid each other, move on, and not be a part of each other's lives except that it is impossible in our case to never have any contact even indirectly. Close friends of mine are friends of his too. And so the mention of us both to each other still occurs and still drives both of us insane at the mere mention of the other person.

So here's my accountability in this war...my stand....and my realization.

As much as i hate the war and wish it and him were out of my life i realize that i am guilty of keeping said war going. how so?

for one, i act insane whenever a friend of mine mentions that they talked to him. I get all sad, depressed, fearful and paranoid, just today i told ovni that since he was talking to steve i guess he'd end up turning on me and not wanting to be my friend.

I am guilty of the same accusation towards brandi, and stefan, and many others. It has felt to me for a long time that...its impossible to be friends with BOTH he and i....being that we hate each other eventually people would choose sides and in my typical cynical way i assumed that everyone would side with him in the end. but what does this do?

It tells my friends i dont trust them, it hurts their feelings, makes them feel untrusted...and when i feel that way that give them the opportunity to run to steve and do exactly what i feared would happen. when if I'd only given them an ounce of respect and trust then maybe nothing would have been damaged at all.

Maybe it is possible for someone to be both his friend and mine and not choose sides. I don't know how, don't understand it, but apparently it is possible...and many people find themselves in that position. Ov, Brandi, Alex, Matt, I can go on and on.

these people dont want to choose sides but are forced to in many occasions and that serves only to make things worse.

In me telling my friends to choose one side or the other i also have kept this war going and caused problems. And so I admit to the following crimes...and issue a public apology in hopes of ending, burying, this war once and for all.

1. I am guilty of asking friends of both me and steve to choose sides, or just be friends with him. This is wrong, and i should respect their right to be friends with him based on what happens between them, not based on what happened between Steve and I. For this I apologize.

2. I am guilty of talking about all the wrongs steve did me, thinking that i was doing my friends a favor in helping them to avoid being hurt by steve. In doing this i thought that i was being righteous, but in truth, i was only making things worse. I do not know who began doing this first...him or me...because i know he did it too....but it doesnt matter. I apologize for MY part in it.

3. I am guilty of calling steve a liar, jumping to conclusions, blaming him for all of my online problems and assuming that he was on some psychotic crusade to destroy everything i was and am. I am guilty of posting journals to this effect without knowing fully what the truth was...instead i have assumed.

4. I am guilty of failing to realize that whether or not steve was actually trying to steal my friends from me, at the same time, i was pushing them away by not believing or trusting their words if ever they mentioned steve's name. In that respect, i was not a good friend. And that only helped them to feel that perhaps steve might have been right.

5. I am guilty of swaying in the breeze....one minute saying the problems between us were over, the next complainging that he was the nemesis of my life and that i wish he would disappear forever.

6. I am guilty of being arrogant in regards to my refusal to apologize to steve without an apology from him first. Whether or not an apology comes from his side in this case makes no difference. I will apologize for my part in it and leave it at that.

Its been a week, strange things have happened. A few have tried to come between us, many supported us...many did not. And in that trial confusion emotions bounced back and forth between highs and lows affected by those outside of our inner world. But yet we are at peace.

I love her. She loves me. And now i feel once again that my life has meaning. Such an empty hole left by my ex...so much mistrust, so much hurt...could i ever love again? Knowing that i wanted to, but fearing how it would go i did not expect it to happen anytime soon and yet there she is, always a part of my life and now an even larger part than before.

I need her so much it hurts. Love her...so much that it hurts. Miss her....till the pain is a constant friend of the day. Pain in love. Pain without love. Pain is always there i guess....but id rather feel this pain than the former.

She's been sought after...by other men. highly desired, and why not she's beautiful. Jealous? At their staring eyes and fantasies of her? Of course I am. but fearful? Trust. Trust her, i say to myself, and so i do. And i let it go....fearful still inside, but believing her when she says she will remain at my side.

time and distance and space between can be re-conquered once again as before. Do things right this time....make this into something more. We can do it. And we have that spark. In person i felt a connection i was forced to ignore. Ignore it no longer...ill let it explode...let the fires of love build into inferno and share that together...

So long as we remain true to each other our love can only forever grow stronger. so let them look at her with their jealous eyes...let them look at me with their judgemental expressions and cynical intentions. Ill stand by her, thick and thin...till we meet again. Until that day comes we'll hold strong to each other...for neither has time for another. I love her. she loves me. And that's how it's going to be.

If some other girl comes to me with with jealousy, wants me for herself...for her needs. I will not respond, i will never waver, i will not be weak, i will not fail her. I am tried and true, committed and strong...loving and caring, there's only one girl for me.

so let a girl find me, try to lure me to her, it aint gonna happen honey cos ive already got a great girl. Her name is Ellen, my heart beats her name...im glad to be with her....and i hope she feels the same. I wont let you go, and i wont let you down, be your strength when you need it, and show that you're loved. You're worth so much more than those other men see...i just know they dont see you, not like me. They may love your clothes, your hair or your body...but i love your soul, your heart, your mind. I love whats within you, your smile, your eyes. I love your expressions, I love your songs and poems, i love your heart, and the feelings it holds. I love that you love me. (and I love you too), and i love how much good is within you.

Yes you are cute, beautiful amazing...but those features are only the beginning, for whats within you makes everything else shine....and i only hope that forever you'll be mine.
