I want there to be more. I can't wait until the next installment. I hope Jacob stayed turned. I feel nothing but annoyance towards him. He's a selfish boy and I'm annoyed with him for practically molesting Bella and manipulating her into thinking she loves him. She does, of course, but as a brother, as the highest friend. All her romance is left for Edward, who deserves it far, far more.

So, yes. I don't like Jacob, though I like Quil and Embry quite a bit, and Sam too, since he seems actually able to accept responsability. Gawd. I was so expecting him to die and then Jacob have to lead the pack, ohnoes. I like Stephanie Meyer more now that she defied my expectations. Not that I really COULD like her more, considering. <3

It seems closer than it did one month ago, and darker. Over Catalina it was a pale silver orb; here it is a swelling, a jarring mark in the otherwise blank, grey-black sky.

I lean my head back in the seat as the car pulls to a noisy halt at a stop sign, and close my eyes. When I open them again, the clouds have shifted and the moon is just a pale glow directly ahead. I can no longer see the gap through which I previously charted its surface in my mind.

I am tempted to howl like we did that night when were were together and swaying under the lights of the basketball court, the flashing strobe, and the stars. The milk truck wavers into being in my mind's eye, and I almost let a little of the sound inside of my slip to the surface. I can feel, for a brief instant, the heavy heat of her arm around me, the smell of his sweat as we swayed, taking a momentary break from the frantic leaping that we called dancing.

Home, now, I contemplate the view from my window. Here I cannot see the moon even though the view is facing the right direction. A building across the alley blocks my sight.

Mom says something casual, I nod and smile my acknowledgment. A pair of dogs in the next building screech and bark at each other. A siren wails.

I miss camp; all I have left is reality.

Then, I got at the end of a line where I waited for an hour before I finally reached the front and was admitted. I was the last registered person in line; all those behind me were on standby.

Inside, I saw a person with "Ae" written on their pants and was quite delighted. We moved along to the classroom where we were to be tested, finally, and waited outside there. While we waited a flock of black bird flew overhead. This was a conversation starter for me and girl whose name may have been Shila. I'm not sure, but she went to West LA Baptist HS.

The test itself was uneventful, and I'm sure I did well.

But then I realized it was around 10:30. I was supposed to have left at 9:15 because I needed to catch a flight to Reno, Nevada, for my aunt's retirement party. We made the flight, thankfully, and arrived around noon.

The party was alright. Most of the people were far older than me, but I hung out with my dear cousin Matt and his new wife Lael (lay-elle.) I got to know Lael a lot better, and she is a very lovely woman.

Matt has promised to take me shooting. I look forward to this very much.

Now, awhile back (5 or 6 years ago) I took Tae Kwon do at the same place and got up to my green belt (that's the fourth level up from white belt) but I had to stop because my grades were slipping and blah blah you get the picture. So, this time I didn't test or anything for the stripe, one of the teachers (Mr. Oppel) just gave it to me after class.

1. My computer is named Baby, but he's actually the second "Baby" in the house. The first died a painful death when her hard-drive died. Yes, the first one was female, but this one is very much male.

2. I found a picture of a wierdo monster in a magazine and cut it out and put it in a picture frame. I'm looking at it now.

3. There are three pairs of scissors with blue handles within arms length of were I'm sitting.

4. Sometimes when I get bored I take pictures of my feet. And the feet of anyone nearby me. I have, like, 32 pictures of feet in my iPhoto library.

5. I have expansive imaginary worlds in my head. I will tell you about them if you get close enough and stand still for long enough. All my friends know this, and it probably annoys the hell out of them, but I'm always willing to listen to their stories in return (and enjoy it!) so it's fair in the end.

We took her to the vet, and she said that the guinea pig was in obvious pain and probably had arthritis. Also, she found some lumps that could have been tumors. The vet said our best bet was to euthanize her. We could have done treatment, but it was unlikely she would respond and survive.

Mom and I both agreed it was the best choice. They had us sign some forms and told us how they were going to do it. They used gas anesthesia first to put her to sleep so she wouldn't feel pain, then injected her heart with something to make it stop. All very peaceful.

Then the vet took her away and I came home.

I never was really "close" to her, you know, but it still hurts. It should hurt, I guess.
