so i'm entering a photography contest. the theme is "another kind of hero," and i don't think i have any, if not some, photos that convey this, so i'll leave the thinking up to a sample few. go ahead and critique and tell me. heh heh heh, totally requested.

oh and thanks for the steady but rising stream of comments and hellos, i feel acknowledged.

i've never understood organized sports. especially in the american syndicated, almost cultic, sense. even though, i tuned into coverage of the olympic games nonetheless. it was visually appealing, especially the human display of greece's hisotry. but the next day, curiosity beckoned and i realized the enthusiasm sports can bring. olympic badminton is awesome. i was caught off guard by the sheer ability in a sport i've never even given thought to. i found myself standing in anticipation during the china vs. u.s. volleyball game. diving was interesting and gymnastics captivating. i guess i'm watching the wrong sports. no more football for me, except of course if it's football.

During one day, I have submitted around 10 photos. Diharrea of deviants if you will. I just needed to showcase these things for people, despite what I usually say to myself about how my Work is not good enough. I have thrown caution through a fan to be blown away yet cut up into vulnerable little peices, so at least be wary of my self sacrifice. Around this time, I should enlighten you, whoever you are, to the second reason I submitted so many photographs, but first, a poem by David Budbill:

DILEMMA

I want to be
famous
so I can be
humble
about being
famous.

What good is my
humility
when I am
stuck
in this
obscurity?

I love that poem. Anyways, that is all. have a nice night.
