8 CLASSES TILL GRADUATION! (I know! After all this time, I'm almost DONE!)

With that said, I've been ACCEPTED in the D*sney College Program in Anaheim, Ca as an Entertainment Costumer! This was my TOP CHOICE and I'm so excited I got accepted as it's an EXTREMELY competitive internship. (Interns have a company status equivalent to that of Part-time employees and can become regular part-time employees at the end of their internship, so the company has to be VERY selective about who they hire as they might be there permanently!)

But...

I'm also in the running for a Mgmt Internship at WDW in Orlando. 0_0 This position is incredibly coveted, so don't be fooled! It's a 30K+ position at the INTERN LEVEL, which isn't bad for a Lib Arts Major who doesn't have a degree yet!

So, it's going to come down to Flo-rida vs. SoCal, and we'll know the outcome by the Holidays!

OH! Almost forgot! I'm now doing nightly ghost tours (no Tues, sorry) with French Quarter Phantoms! If you'd like to have a tour with yours truly, then just dial 504-666-8300 and tell them that you want ME! ^_^

I just finished a really cute bolero, and I'm going to be putting the finishing touches on a ruffled, bustle pin-stripe skirt sometime this weekend. When I get a chance, I intend on posting pictures.

I PASSED THE TOUR GUIDE EXAM!!! Now I just need my Bartender's card!

I've just gotten out of Essence Fest, and now I'm moving into Microsoft Territory!

Almost finished with the Summer semester! I have 1 class that ends NEXT WEEK, and another 1 that ends the week after, and 2 more that end 2-3 days after that!

My schedule is set for Fall already, and there's only 1 class I need to get into that I haven't already!

I have A LOT of friends that are coming back/starting at my college this Fall, and it makes me soooooo excited!

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED!

Things have been so crazy on this front it's not even funny!

I wrapped at the end of my on Jonah Hex, my first period film! I was personally dressed by the Costume Designer, Michael Wilkenson (Watchmen, 300, & soon, Tron 2.0). (He was totally enamored with the fact that I had a true hourglass figure!)

From there I did 3 days on set on 2 different scenes. (There was about 16 of us girls, and 50 guys. 0_0)

I've also done an unbelievable amount of promos lately! Coor's Light & Tecate Girl, Dane Cook, Ford, AT&T @ the Demi Lovato Concert in Lafayette, LA, Olay Pro-X, Burger King FamFest, TBS & Tyler Perry's 'Meet the Browns', and I'm almost certain I'm forgetting at least 3-4 others!

I'm rather surprised at how much work I'm averaging since this time of year is normally INCREDIBLY slow for me, but it seems that every WEEK I have something going on!

Drats, Pigeon-holed again!

It seems like I might not graduate at the end of this year after all. But there is a possibility and it's all hinged on what classes are being offered this Summer. If I can pick up a math class, then I can graduate. If I can't, then I'm going to possibly have a spring semester coming up where I'm talking 1 class.

This ofcourse screws up my plans to go to France as one of the mandatory classes I need to graduate is only offered in the Fall. I've given serious consideration though to doing a Summer Abroad, but even that is questionable right now as Financial Aid is a big issue.

I'm currently in the process of becoming a CA, so that means that in a month, I'll be moving into my own place on campus! And when my Pell/Loan disperses in February, I'm going to be getting a car! Around that time I'll also be getting my PASSPORT and STUDENT VISA.

WHY? Because I figured out where I'm studying abroad!

PARIS, FRANCE @ Sorbonne Nouvelle!!!!

They're actually the oldest college in France AND their film program is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! (They've produced several famous French directors in the past few years.) I'll also probably be country hopping on the weekend! I'm already making lists of museums, sights, and festivals I want to see. Oktoberfest in Munich.... Westminster Abbey in London... The Vatican in Rome... 0_0

I'm actually very luck to be attending as you can't even go there as an exchange student unless you're fairly proficient in French. As it is, the Coordinator for the program at my college told me that after I finish my semester there that I should pretty much be Fluent. (Yeah, wow.)

Sadly, Disney was a no go because the positions were cut due to the economy. But that's not an issue as I just found out that the Disneyland Resort College Program now offers housing!!! So, after I graduate, I'm going to apply for the PI's again AND the DLCP! Which will be great because I'll get to do see all the cool stuff I miss in SoCal!

From there I'll either move into a full-time position with Disney OR TESL in other countries. (I'm looking at programs in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, S. Korea, Hong Kong, and Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto.) Either one would be like fulfilling a life long dream.

....Oh, did I mention that I'm GRADUATING at the end of 2009?

All's quiet on the Disney front, and while "no news might be good news". I'm not taking any chances.

This coming week I'm going to apply to be an RA/CA on my school's campus for both the dorm and the apartments. It's free housing should I get either, so that'd cut my monthly bills in half.

I'm also meeting with a Study Abroad counselor about doing a Summer Semester in Kyoto, Japan (about a month) and the coming Fall Semester in Germany. We're specifically trying to figure out where in Germany because I don't want to go to Marlsburg because I think it'll be too small of a city for me. Ideally, I'd like to end up in Munich since it's in Bavaria, close to the Alps (and Italy), and they hold the best Oktoberfest.

If you haven't guessed already, I finished "Watchmen" today. Totally awesome, I highly recommend it, especially since the film is coming out soon! I also got my hands on Bizenhast 5 as well--which was great a read too.

The summer was long, rough, and unfruitful, but the Fall seems to be shaping up rather interestingly. My Pell/Loan excess money has hit, and I'm going to be getting a new car within the next month. This Friday I'm going to see Voltaire at the HiHo Lounge, and then on Tuesday I have free tixs to Flogging Molly at the Varsity in Baton Rouge!

It looks like I might be working 2 part-time jobs as a student work for my school & then acting at 'The Haunted Mortuary' throughout October. And I'm learning how to bartend in November, and I'll probably have various promotions, extra's work, and some stagehand gigs well into December.

I got dinged from my Number 1 choice for Disney PI's. I did however get passed into my 2nd and 3rd choices. I'm going to do some more research before I decide on whether or not to go with either position. I might also wait and see about doing something after I graduate. If it looks like that, I'll probably be going to Germany next Fall, and possibly doing TESL in S.Korea/Mexico as well.

Life is full of possibilities.

I *finally* got my pic from the "Alice in Wonderland" shoot up in my DA gallery since my disc from Danielle showed up on Thursday!

I'm beginning work on my Halloween costume right now. I decided to go with "Selene" from "Underworld" as my finally choice. I've isolated the boots that I need to buy (Demonia Ranger 318-Men's), I just need to order them.

I also purchased the book on how to construct latex clothing as that's one of the most promenent portions of the costume. I've been told that I'll have to make a muslin mock-up as the catsuits are very difficult to construct with a good fit to them. I'll probably use my Dawn's bodysuit as a base for the mock-up and just extend the legs to my calves.

From there it's just a matter of purchasing the latex fabric from Denver Fabrics, and some coat-quality pleather for the coat. I'm also going to double check that I have adequate boning for the corset. I already have fabric that'll work, but I'm not certain if I have boning that's long enough right now for a full corset.

After that, it's just a matter of getting contacts and fangs.

I'm officially a Heineken Girl! I finished my training in late August, and I'll probably be taking gigs in the next month or so. I guess there's harder things in life than handing out free beer?

I also did a day on the "Tide: Loads of Love" promo. (Ya' know the one where they have the huge laundry truck?) Except this time they just rented out a laundry mat and had us do it all there.

I'm also finishing up the "My Best Friend's Girl" promo that's been going on my campus for the past 2 wks on Wednesday! It's been really challenging for me, but that's what I like about this kind of stuff. It's something NEW everytime!

Tomorrow I have an extra's gig for an Omni Bank Commercial that they're shooting.

I also start work at 'The Haunted Mortuary' on the 26th, so that's going to be an interesting change of pace.

Wow! At the end of this month I'm going back to finish 1 of 2 full semesters I have left of college. After that, I'll have to maybe take 2-3 classes during the summer, and I'll be done. 0.0

I've found 2 programs organized by the S. Korean government for TESL. I'm going to talk to some other people on some boards to find out which will be better for me. So, it looks like I'll definitely be going abroad in the future if nothing else happens until then.

I'm also still entertaining an Imagineering internship with Disney, so if I get an offer from them, I'm going to roll with it!

I'm also looking into joining TWU (Theatrical Wardrobe Union) since having union membership (or experience) in my background would be great for my resume!

Half way through the summer, and there's still so much to do! I've managed to reach a stopping point with my manga proposal, make it to AnimeNext, and work with some new photographers!

Has slowly taken over my life!

I just got hired to work "The Haunted Mortuary" during the months of September and October. This is on top of a reoccuring gig with Red Kite Arts as an Artist's Model. I'm also still doing wine tastings with Upbeat Promotions, band promos through The Syndicate, and I'm now on Event Pros roster for tradeshow/convention models.

I was also featured on Talentdatabase.com!

There's 2-3 movies gearing up right now for production, so I'll probably be doing some of those soon too!

My manga proposal has been put on hold by the urging of a friend who's told me about the restructuring situation at Tokyopop right now. I plan to be ready to submit in September.

I'm currently submitting non-fiction articles and poetry to various publications. If anything get's picked up, I'll let y'all know!

SUMMA' TIME!

Yep, I've officially been out of school for a little over a week now, and the knowledge that I have 3 more semesters left (a year and a half) has sunk home. I'm getting very close to graduating, and I still haven't figured out where I want to go with my life indefinitely.

Part of that has to do with my varied interests, and the fact that with the exception of one or two things I'm not really getting stalemated in my interests. If anything I'm getting thrusted into too many opportunities that I can't accept for a variety of reasons. (School being only one.)

In the next 2 years I ultimately see myself:
-Traveling abroad for the first time. (Probably to Germany to study, and maybe after I graduate to Japan or South Korea to teach English.)
-Taking a Professional Internship with Disney either in their Costume Design Dept or Imagineering. (The internships are time sensitive, unlike the teaching positions, but I know that once I go down there, that I'm probably going to stay with the company.)
-Being SAG Eligible and/or having a Major Credit under my name. (I'll explain further down...)
-Probably moving out of state to NYC or Orlando, FL.
-Working on a film or concert production as a Wardrobe/Costume Assistant.

I'm currently working on piece with my new tablet. I'm getting a feel for it, and I'm liking the results. I don't have much free time this month, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish the work soon!

I plan to make some alterations/additions to my Hsien-ko in anticipation of my attendence at AnimeNext this year.

I'm also going to put the finishing touches on my revised Shampoo costume as well.

I *am* however finishing up a plushie that will have a lot people going, "Squee!" with joy when they get to see it.

I went through yet another Hell Week during Final's week. (Yeah, my life has perfect timing.) I had 3 finals in one day, 2 promos (1 the day before finals and 1 afterwards), and then an all day costumed photoshoot.

I'm now looking at being almost completely booked out for the month of May, and the beginning of June is starting to look tight time wise as well. I'm doing extensive extra's work on "Patriots" a film featuring Forest Whitaker, Isaiah Washington, Bow Wow, and Lil' Wayne. I've also got a lot of alcohol promotions that I'm working on, and I have 2-3 stagehand gigs. Not to mention that I'm trying to fit in some photoshoots as well.

This comes on the heels of a future opportunity that would make me SAG eligible, and the knowledge that I might change inhibitions I've had about my modeling inorder to secure the funds I need for this endeavor.

I'm toward the end of my spring break with little more than nothing accomplished that I wanted to get done this week, but that's the story of my life, isn't it?

I still have 3 days left to finish the treatment for the manga proposal I've been slaving over for forever now, pick out a scene to reherse for acting class, post about 5-6 new items on eBay and etsy, update my website so that it doesn't continually look like it's a page holder, and get a metric ton of stuff sewed and cleared off my sewing table.

The money my school owes me finally came in, so I just bought a Genius 8x6 tablet. (Yeah, I know everybody is hot for Wacom, but frankly, I just want something that works.)

This past week was basically "Hell Week" for me in between school and gigs.

Sunday night was the Flogging Molly concert/promotion for their new album, "Float". I hadn't seen mosh pitting of that nature since middle school. 0.0 The concert rocked! I totally can't wait till they come back into town.

After getting to bed at 2am, I had be on set a 9am for "12 Rounds", the new WWE flick featuring John Cena. It was a small group of us, so things were nice and I go to see old friends from other sets, leave early, and eat crew food. *w00t!*

Tuesday I had class all day, but I was off in the evening.

Wednesday I had an audition for an Oshner commercial, and then a Bailey's Irish Creme & Guinness promotion at night.

Thursday was class all day again, with my acting mid-term sandwiched in there. (Yes, I had mid-terms last week on top of all of this. LOL)

Friday I was one of probably 300 extras on the set of Final Destination 4 in 3D. They were filming in the now defunct New Orleans Centre which is a great place for this type of movie since it really hasn't been dealt with since Katrina. (There were still dead potted plants everywhere.)

Saturday I had a corporate stagehand gig at the Convention Center setting up the Prudential Real Estate Award's Show.

Sunday was a corporate gig for a medical company at the Ritz-Carlton.

Monday I took off though I could've done another day on FD4 in 3D.

Tuesday I went to do Blue Man Group at the New Orleans Arena.

Wednesday I was back at the Convention Center to take down the Prudential Show.

Today I sleep in and recovered from basically working a week and half straight.

And now it sounds like I might be taking an extra's gig on Monday for the film, "The Open Road" with Justin Timberlake.

If you blinked, you missed me in the NBA All-Star Half-Time Show on TNT! I was part of the "construction crew" that helped raise the houses.

Before that I was working the Van Halen World Tour, which I got to set up the drums for!

My schedule is rapidly booking out. As it is, I already have bookings into the end of March, and I'm not even counting an unconfirmed booth gig that I'll be taking on this Summer.

Right now I'm doing classes 2 days a week and scene shop 1 day a week. Then add in stagehand work, modeling gigs, and acting jobs I'm EXHAUSTED! As it is I'm going to visit the Doc tomorrow because I'm having my perennial sinus infection/bronchitis deal. -_-

I've been in Orlando for the past 2 months now as part of the Disney College Program. I've gotten the chance to do a lot here since I arrived, including visiting the Kennedy Space Center 6 days before the launch of the Discovery Shuttle launch!!!

I won't be back in New Orleans until mid-January, and by then I'll have to start classes at my college. I'm thinking about going back to working for Whole Foods when I return until I get back into the swing of things (acting, modeling, etc).

I was recently accepted to Carl Mack Productions (CarlMack.com). They supply promotional and specialty talent for everything from parties and fund raisers to tradeshows and conventions. I originally tired to get with this "agency" 2 yrs ago after working for Anime Network, and I was denied. I reapplied recently and the head of the company accepted me, and said he even remembered me from last time!!!

I've also been accepted into the HVQ Agency! They're primarily a non-profit that focuses on representing goth/punk/fetish/alt models, circus performers, burlesque stars, and basically anyone outside of the norm.

I'm also doing a lot of stagehand work right now. I just finished working backstage during "The Police" concert that was just in town this past week. I'm currently doing work for Essence Fest, and next week I have WWE's Smackdown.

Finally finished and posted "Utena in Wonderland"! I've also colored 2 additional pieces since then!

I'm also working on another coloring piece and "W.T.O." which probably won't get finished until my classes are over with (about a month from now).

I'm just getting finished with a month long stint on the set of "College" with Drake Bell (Josh n' Drake on Nickelodeon) and Kevin Covais (American Idol) doing extra work. Tomorrow & Saturday I'll be doing a Mentos promotion and Sunday I'm back on set again! LOL

Quartercon has come and gone, and boy was it fun while it lasted ^_^

I'm currently suffering from slight brokeness, but I believe I will recover just in time for Yule/Candlemas/Whatever. (It'll be nice to have a X-mas where I'm not broke for once!)

Thanksgiving was pointless for me--family wise atleast.

I'm working on finishing up "The Land of Oz" so that when "Minstral's Kiss" comes out in December I'll be able to launch into that easily.

I'm down to that last 2 wks of the semester! 2 of my classes are going to be no brainers, but I have 2 that are going to be aggravating (Geology and Entrepreneurship -_-).

The hosting/domain name is running out on my website. I'm probably going to renew my domain name, but switch my hosting out since I don't use that much bandwidth for that one site.

And my ipod has officially died ;_; Aside from the lost money, my biggest aggravation is that I had music on there that I no longer have in CD format, so I'm going to play hell trying to get all of my music back. I also had files on there as well that I was storing because my computer has been having worm problems (that are now thankfully resolved).

I finished "The Wizard of Oz", finally. I'm going to try to finish up "Strange Candy" (I've only got a few pages left in it.), and then my camera reading before going head long into the next "Oz" novel.

Last night I was out semi-late at Vampire Lestat's Ball @ Rosy's Jazz Hall held by the Vampire Lestat Fan Club. It was slow at first, but I'd definitely come back next year.

And today I tooled around the French Quarter early in the day and took a bunch of stock shots. And then later I went to the Laurell K Hamilton booksigning at Garden District Bookstore. Afterwards I grabbed a cider & cheesy waffle fries at The Bulldog. Num!

I got back from D*C early yesterday, and after a full nights sleep I'm still a little wiped out. z_z I did enter the Dawn contest, and even though I didn't win, I still got a cool limited edition signed print from Linsner, the artist of Dawn, and I'll be in the contest DVD when it comes out later on this year.

I'm about to launch head on into school work and finishing my pitch for Tokyopop.

I just finished the initial sketch and ink for a piece I'm working on, though I'm considering flipping, light boxing, and fixing since I know there's a TON of inconsistencies in the piece and I know the picture will look 10 times better if I do that. So, it looks like another week of drawing before it'll be ready to re-ink and color.

I've also received an offer to color sequential art on a trial basis for an indy comic company. If things work out well. I'll have my first real credit as a colorist and I'll have the details on the book, so that those interested can purchase their own copy ^_^

I finished my Dawn in time for the contest, but the wig does need to be dyed darker. This will probably end up being one of my outfits for the Southern Shoot and Social and my costume for the "Vampire Ball" the weekend before Halloween.

I might sell off this entire costume afterwards, since I plan on making something much more elaborate for next years contest. (This was roughly a "week" costume, the one I'm planning on doing for D*C next year is probably going to be a 2 month costume--atleast.)

I've also finished the majority of my Kyoko. The only remaining elements are the clipboard mod, the cuffs/collar on the labcoat, and a I intend to shape the labcoat more to make it more flattering. ^_^

In the next few months I'm going to focus more on original design clothing, and less on costumes since my next scheduled convention isn't until mid-February at the earliest.

I'm scheduled to do extra work for Coulon Casting on "A Perfect Day" an indy Sony picture being shot in town right now--they want me for the 13th. I've also put in for the Brad Pitt/Cate Blanchett flick, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons", which I might get contacted for in October.

I also received an offer to do extra work on a film in London with the company paying for my travel/lodging/standard extra day rate while I'm there. This would be a great opportunity for me, but I don't know when the filming will begin, nor how long it'll run. And I'm in college right now, so from now until the beginning of December, I'm "unavailable" for long projects. (Make's me curse my bad luck at this not being offered LAST YEAR when I was piss-ant broke! -_-)

And, as I've already mentioned, you can catch a glimpse of me in the Dawn Look-a-like Contest DVD that'll be coming out later on this year from Dragon*Con. I'll also be posting new pictures soon from the photoshoot I did while at con, and possibly some of the better pictures of my Dawn costume.

I'm hoping to make it to the Southeastern Shoot and Social in Jackson, MS in early October. So I should have a plethora of pictures from that as well should things go my way. Got dressed, and drug my stuff down to make my way to MSY to catch my 10:55am plane out to JFK via Jetblue. I didn't have any of the same problems I had with Katsucon flying Delta, so it was a rather uneventful flight. Though I've begun to notice that every plane I get on is too comfortable so all I want do to do during the flight is go to sleep! 0.0 I mainly watched BtVS Season 3 during the flight until it was time for us to land.

After spending eternity waiting in line to go to the bathroom, I collected my bags, and found my way to the Airtram. Took the Airtram to Jamaica Station and took the E to Port Authority. From there I had the delight of trying to find the 320 bus, had to go up one floor, get a ticket, go back down, and then lug 70lbs worth up stuff up a flight of stairs. When I finally got the bus, the guy wouldn't open the storage, so I broke the handle to my large suitcase trying to get on. It took me 15 mins to get on, put my stuff up, and get a seat. During that process, I scratched and bruised my body atleast 4-5 times. So for the rest of the weekend I looked like I'd been abused.

It only made things more fun when I got there and had to check-in. Much check-in fun ensued and then I finally managed to get the key to the wrong room. From there me and Charles went to Wal-mart (the 2nd time for him) to get cosplay stuffs. I met up with Chris and a group of other people. From there me and Charles walked back to the room, and then switched rooms since Adam had finally arrived and sorted out the whole room problem. We then made it into the new room. From there we then went to go sort out problems with another room at the Embassy, after that, we waited around for everyone to show so that we could go to dinner at Houlihans.

Dinner was good, but the guy serving us sucked. Much cosplay drama was discussed. Wishings of lack of cosplay drama were issued and ignored by all.

We then returned to the hotel room where everyone sat around, watched pr0n, and played some Zombie Game that someone had until 4am.

Friday:

Woke up around 9am, got dressed in EGL, and went to go get my badge. From there I mopped around the con, Dealer's Room hadn't opened yet, so I went to go see everything else (Art Show, Game Room, Manga Library, etc). Sat through about the last 15 mins of the AMVs. Then snuck into Photoshop for Web Comics. Didn't learn much, and later snuck out for the EGL Tea Party.

Tea Party was great. Got to see a ton more people this year and great outfits. It ran over on time though and I had to sneak out at the end to make it back to the room to change into Lulu for the Hall Cosplay.

I then went to Hall Cosplay, and then met up with a few people for the Cosplay Dinner at Outback. It was fun because the crowd was rather mixed so there was the 7 of us in semi-costume and then just random people there. The food was good though and it was nice to be able to go to 2 sit down dinners 2 nights in a row at a con (most of the time I'm too broke to manage). We also saw other people celebrating birthdays, so we punk'd the staff into singing happy b-day to one of the people at our table ^_~

From there I made it back to the hotel room because I wanted out of my Lulu costume. (OMG, I was all sweaty and yuck! 0.0) From there I changed and hung out with Tony, and briefly with Amanda, for a while before heading on over to the Holiday Inn for the beginners Sake Panel. Which, I have to admit, was one of the highlights of my trip. If the same people who hosted it this year do it again next year, I'm SOOOOOO going to do it again!!! And I'll do both--since there's a beginners and intermediate. ^_^ It just consisted of a bunch of 21+'s getting slowly but steadly drunk and being told that the bar don't close till we go home. It was educational, but it was also hysterical since the guy hosting it would make people who were misbehaving sit in the "middle of the circle" and then make them drink MORE SAKE!!! It only would've been a better experience if I could ACTUALLY REMEMBER WHICH ONE I LIKED! *stop laughing* ;_;

I then managed to make my way back to the room (somehow) and found out that my key didn't work. So I then went back down to the front desk to get it fixed, so when I did, I went and took a shower, changed, and crawled into bed.

Saturday:

I woke up late, but luckly not hung over. Adam got ready and ran ahead to the panel while I stayed there and struggled with Lulu for another 20 mins. Just this past weekend was Katsucon. And while I enjoyed the convention completely, it's becoming more and more obvious that I'm going to need to find a new rooming situation.

I did premiere my EGA/L BlackxBlue & Rainbow Brite. Though both need an extreme amount of work.

I've also mapped out which conventions I'm going to for the rest of the year:

I've been promoted at my job officially to Cheese Shop Mgr at another store and given a generous raise and a new set of hours.

I'm still in the process though of applying to Parsons at this time, so there's not definites on anything, but I do know that if I don't get accepted again, that I'll probably go to Delgado or UNO here, try to get TOPs again, and then go to Tulane/Loyola for my last year.

Good News...I have insurance again and my card for it came today.

Bad News...I got the big rejection letter from FIT. I'm currently applying to Parsons, and I'm still debating on re-applying to FIT.

I did get my ipod though (FINALLY), I might be getting a promotion at work (don't know at this time), and I'm definitely going to Katsucon in February.

I'm still waiting on Unemployment and FEMA, and I don't know if I'll get my job's sign on bonus since it started 2 wks after I arrived there.

My Unemployment card has yet to show up yet, so I'll have to mail them a letter asking them where the fuck it's at as it's been nearly 2 weeks since they sent me notice that I qualify.

Thanksgiving was a typical family holiday, aka hell.

I've got roughly 25% of my portfolio done for FIT. I plan to do atleast 1 1/2 sketches tonight. It needs to all be done by next Friday so that I can mail it off in time for it to be there by the 7th. I've already sent them my essay (3 pages worth).

I'm officially off of antibiotics (w00t), but my wrist is still killing me ;_;

I got to go see Harry Potter last week when it came out. I was the only one in full costume. I so ROCK!!!

I finished the skirt on my Ravenclaw. I want to change the zipper and make the back fasten better, but that's about it. I didn't get a chance to make official robes since I didn't have enough fabric to line the inside of my robes, and I lost my scissors, etc.

Work has been hell lately, but shit happens.

I have some kind of circulation problem in my right wrist. I thought was carpal tunnel syndrom, but my Dad says he has the same thing and it isn't that big of a deal and it's probably inflamation caused by the antibiotics I'm taking. I still basically treat it like the beginnings of carpal, but it isn't.

I got my hair cut and colored today and I got new nails put on (this will kill my EQ2 marathons). But my co-workers will shit when they see me.

I finally won my Unemployment, so now there's only FEMA to go after.

Atleast I'll get my SLR soon since I should be getting a card soon with the money on it for that. And I'll be able to get my video ipod since I'll be able to afford the 60gz since that's the only one in town available.

I got my application fee to FIT waived and they sent me the stuff saying that they just need my essay and portfolio and I'll be all set ^_^

My laptop battery showed up, but I got the wrong one so I'm going to have to ship it back and get a refund (which they've already said they'll let me do). And I found where to get the right one from.

I'll have been working at my new job for a week this Sunday. I like it. If it wasn't for the occasional bitch-assed customer like today I would actually love it.

I went out and bought myself a cheap lil' 3.1 megapixel camera just to tied me over until I can afford an SLR. If I could atleast get unemployment to fork over the money I need I could afford one easily (they're like $500 used, but I already have the lenses). I'm going to get my Video Ipod sometime this week and then my Laptop battery sometime later on next week after I cash in my paycheck that I'm going to get Thursday (they pay weekly here so that'll be nice).

Oh, I broke down and got paid Deviantart. I might also get paid LJ since I'd like to be able to have more than 3 icons (I wish I could just get more icons, lol).

I'd love to get some money from FEMA, but every day that passes it seems less and less likely.

I quit my job today.

I'm probably going to start looking for a new one tonight. I know of 3 places in the area that I can apply for and would probably get the job. (Since the job market is a$$ backwards down here right now, but that'd be a good thing for me).

I've decided to give the internet business thing another shot. I went and got books so I can figure out wtf I need to do to get things officially off of the ground. I got a few good ones atleast.

I managed to buy some new organization stuff for my room, but sadly, due to the ghetto state of my city, I couldn't get a video ipod since there were none available ;_;

I've been badgering FEMA and Unemployment via fax to give me some money. It looks like I'll miss out on the Red Cross money though because their stopping it this Thursday. (Yeah, genius, I know.)

I plan to add some of my costume portfolio drawings soon (one of which I really like). And I also plan to add another Tanuki drawing that I've been working on as well after I finish inking and coloring it.

My style of art is going to take a rather drastic change afterwards as I experiment with different types of colors and mediums to hopefully find what works for me as an artist. It's days like this that make me wonder why I bother to continue modeling. Cosplay I have no intention of giving that up, I'm going to be costuming in one shape or form until I'm dead, but I feel that I'm never getting anywhere modeling wise because of shit like this and I'm constantly getting snubbed one way or another because of it.

(moisant stock yards aka airport) to catch my flight out. Made it
there, *LONG* ass line for security. Waited in the wrong line for 30
mins., found out it was the wrong line, got in the right line, and
just made my flight by 5 mins.

Arrived at JFK after about 2 1/2 hrs. I got through to Adam, and
figured out how to get to the subway station. Took the subway to
Penn Station. Ran through Penn Station and damned near had asthma
attack/passed out due to heat, exhaustion, & stuffiness. Made it to
the Path Train, ran through the Path train to the right compartment,
& FINALLY rested. Took the train to Seacacus Junction, ran around
the station looking for a bus that didn't exist, until finally Adam
called the Holiday Inn and had a shuttle come get us.

We then went and wandered around and went to the Stop N' Go & Mill
Creek Mall. Left shortly afterwards only to get rained on the walk
back.

We stopped off to get our badges only to be told that it'd take
another 1/2 hr. After that, we then found out that it'd be another
hour and a half, so we left and went to the hotel room to chill.

Came back after munchies (w00t, because I was Hun-gry!!!). And then
went to beat up con staff so I could get my panelist badge about an
hour and a half later.

Then, went yet again back to room. Took shower, Adam drug back
Hooters-esq bar-b-que, ate, and fell asleep watching tv.

Friday:

Ate breakfast, changed into Sweet Maid, & put on make-up. Made it
out to the Expo center, ran around looking at stuff, and then lined
up for the Tea Party. The Tea Party was great, I will SOOOO do it
next year if I make it out to Animenext again.

Went and ate lunch, changed, came back, bummed around some more, and
did the Ghetto Cosplay panel (par my badge fulfillment). Met up with
Katsucon peoples (w00t).

Ordered Outback, chilled, went back to the room, ate Outback, other
peoples ate my Outback, gaming ensued.

After everyone left, I went and took a shower, and went to bed (yay
for sleep).

Saturday:
Fixed wig for Shampoo, change into costume, and put on make-up. Came
in late to first panel of the day (Iron Cosplay) which was alright
since apparently nobody had brought the stuff and thus mad scramble
ensued to get stuff for the contest.

Contest proceeded for 25 mins complete with commentary on costumes.
The ghetto Mario won.

Left panel to go eat lunch in Shampoo costume (niko niko's
food=nummy, but pricey), and came back at Noon to do "Cosplay Do's
and Don'ts". The mics weren't operational, so skillz were employed.
Got mics to work, held panel, and then continued on my merry way.

I later went to the Cosplay.com "gathering", fixed mics again, and
watched Dork Vader dance on stage.

Went to Cosplay Conduct panel. Then went to the Anime Insider panel
(to score free t-shirt) and the Media Blasters panel (because I
thought I was going to score free stuff).

Went and ate Chinese food that sucked in Miko Mido costume. Tried to
go back to the room to chill out/change costume, couldn't, so I
called people who've been calling my phone all weekend to return
calls. One was a photographer that I was supposed to work with at
con. So I told him I'd meet up with him in front of the Expo center.
We then went to the top of the parking garage and took pictures of
me hanging off of stair rails and light poles. Afterwards, we went
into the convention center and goofed off for about 2-3 hrs while I
got cosplayers to pose for him.

We made plans to meet up the next day for another shoot with a
different costume. He walked me back to the hotel and I showed him
where the cheap food was. Went to room, took shower, packed, and
then passed out in bed.

Sunday:

Got ready, ate the last of my snacks, packed the last of my stuff,
and then aided Adam's friend with her wig and make-up.

Got out of the room at roughly 1pm, dropped my bags off at the front
desk, called Walter (photog), he told me he'd left for Father's day
lunch (he was upset that I had to leave at 2pm and that he wouldn't
get to work with me again), so I went back into the hotel and
changed into regular clothes.

Left hotel, went to the expo center, caught the last half of the
Ranma panel, and grabbed Adam and went to the bus stop. We took the
bus through Lincoln Tunnel to Port Authority Station, and then more

Sprint also called to say they got my letter and that they'll take $29 off of my bill (which won't restore my service, but oh fuck well).
