College is over; I'm not going back. Probably going to enroll in community college so I can get a decent job and learn what I want at my own pace.
Got an industrial project off the ground. Well, it's still in the process.
Started keeping a type of journal. More of a philosophical/psychological thing than anything else, and it's already been interesting as hell to read back on what I've written.

Important stuff:

So I had an existentialist breakthrough. I'm not going to go in-depth into it but I can say that almost my entire outlook on things has changed.
Good news is I'm going to be writing a whole lot, and probably drawing as well. I might try some more realistic drawing. Maybe photography too. Probably also going to make more poppy music as opposed to the heavy rock I usually make. Maybe some Reggae too... And actually start learning Russian... Basically I'm going to be immersing myself in life and taking full advantage of whatever I can.
Bad news is I had this breakthrough during, and kind of as a result of, some slight issues with someone close to me. Hopefully that won't degenerate any further though, which I do run the risk of, but that's a risk I feel I'm going to have to take. I'm really thinking my new mindset could really help things out.

NEW NEWS!
~Finally picked up drawing again! I should be putting something up as soon as I get some proper sleep and get my scanner hooked back up.
~A band I'm in won a battle of the bands (FebFest, the one I set up) a month ago, which we all were ecstatic about. Along with that, though, I quit PickPocket and the band who won FebFest is on a razor's edge.
~I've decided college is not right for me (i.e. a load of shit), so I'm going to move in with a buddy/bandmate of mine and work for a living in Boone. It'll give me more time for art and other projects.
~Got my hair chopped off!! I guess I'll post a new DevID soon.
~Starting a new band- this time it's an industrial one. I'm using a nice program called Reason, which will be a real help since we have no drummer, but we don't have a name yet.
~Saw 300 last night- fucking movie ROCKED! I also read the comic a while back, which will definitely influence my drawing style.
~My mom got a Wii and with it Twilight Princess, which is a fantastic game. Beat it in 32 hours and have almost completed all the side missions.

Other than that, all I can think of is that there's a new Nine Inch Nails CD coming out that has a fabulous storyline behind it. I'm getting sucked into that thing faster than I was stuck on 4chan. But that's another story which I'm not encouraged to humor you with (Rule #1).

In fact, he was nowhere to be found.
Quite odd.

I revealed this to the caller, who then asked me to tell my roomate that his car had been towed. I obliged, hung up, and did what I normally do at times like these- I went back to sleep.

When my roomate finally came back, I informed him of this intrusion upon my REM cycles. He apparently already took care of the issue, which he told me, all while filling a laundry bag and hastily leaving the room.
Over the next forty or so minutes, he kept coming in and going out, making all kinds of ruckus and keeping me from being able to peacefully sleep. I knew what was going on, so I also did not get up for fear of intruding upon my roomate's activities.

By 9:15 that morning, my roomate had moved out of the dorm room.

He was gone. The bed was naked, the computer was gone, as was the alarm clock and the clothes. He mentioned turning his key in to a friend helping him leave.
He left with everything that was his.

...Except the mess.

When I actually got out of bed, I was slightly shocked to see a plethora of items laying all over the floor of the small room; I thought he'd have the respect to at least clean up after himself.
Well, his friends came in this afternoon and took what they wanted, and as I was trying to finish cleaning up, I decided to list out exactly what had been left.

Between what I picked up and what I remembered his friends taking, I found the following items (and I may add to this occasionally as I find things hidden in dark recesses of the room):

My plans to learn Russian have gone to Hell.

That about sums it up. I mean, that's as good as a movie gets. The only thing it's really missing is the tabasco sauce and the beef jerky, but Samuel L. Jackson is basically an incarnation of both of those anyway, so it more than makes up for it.

I still have a good bit of writer's block.

There is no food in this house.
And I won't be able to leave for two more weeks.

Irony of Ironies....
I decided to accompany my friends to Rocky Mount to hang out and get out of the house. The trip was great, but when we started the ride back right after pooling together the money for a full tank of gas, the goddamned car broke down and we were stuck in Rocky Mount for a day before we could even find a way back. My Karma is terrible.

Other than that, I was awarded a $10,000.00 Wal-Mart Scholarship, so my school for the next four years is pretty much paid off. Good for me!

I did get to see Jerry Douglas (I swear he played Third Stone From the Sun) and a hot banjo player who won the banjo competition- the guy was amazingly nimble. But that sandwich....

Unfortunately, I misseed Matt James play on Saturday, but it was worth it- I got to go back to MerleFest Sunday with my music teacher to see Béla Flek and the Flektones, which has inspired me to lock myself in my room until I can play half as well as he can.
If that weren't bad enough, I'm stealing ~kickarsedrumma's synth to start doing NIИ-type stuff. I'll start posting it on my new audio website, which I will give th elink to in the near future.

I did decide to take up some new hobbies, though: Kayaking, scuba-diving, meditation, more extreme political activism, eating lemons, and bow hunting. Ted Nugent-style bowhunting.
And I believe that I've fallen in love with violinists- there was a 19-year-old violinist I saw who was stunning. And she's an Italian who lives in London- God.

Yeah, I realy have feelings for this person, but I need to better deal with these situations, and at this moment I'm not exactly in prime condition to be doing so. I don't need to be bringing myself and others down because of my insecurities and stuff.
I have one more project related to this that I have started which I will finish as my final dealing with all of this shit, and then, coupled with a trip to the FLlorida Keys I'm taking on Wednesday, I will probably be able to be my normal, asshole self again.

The only issue is that I might fall right back down if comething serious is to happen, so I can't make any serious promises. But it never hurst to try.

On a different note, I got a new guitar! It's a Squier Strat and looks like a 60s-era Strat and plays pretty well! I did a pretty good version of "Little Wing" and "Hey Joe" that I'll try to put up on some website somewhere.
I also got that Hendrix pedal by Digitech, and once I figure out how to effectively work it, it should kick ass. I got a somehting to look forward to now.

It just doesn't make sense that everything I do just seems to fall apart right in front of me...

Sometimes I wonder if it's better to go through life being with people but not loving them or if it's worth it to fall deeply in love but watch the other person waste away slowly in front of your eyes...

I got the last showing of a report I've got to do this week, and after that it should be pretty smooth sailing. I might have the time to pick up some old projects again...

Got some more good news. I went on a Scholar Bowl trip with the ASU Upward Bound program, and we placed fourth! It's alot better than I thought were gonna do. Overall, I actually placed third in the total points accumulated by one person! That's really amazing to me. If only I had a warm-up round to get trigger-happy a bit sooner...

And I got a significant other now!! It's surprising how one of the most stressful times I can remember going through is also one of the most rewarding. Karma, I guess.

Well, I can't remember anything else I was going to say, so I guess I'll leave you alone now. Rock on, all.

I've finally come to the conclusion that school is 100% Grade-A bullshit. That or I'm just maturing and growing in different directions than the school tries to make you grow. Oddly enough, my Calculus class is quite easy, Chemistry is a breeze, and English's discussions aren't half-bad. But the work they assign! Jesus Christ!

I told you that to tell you this- as long as I am in the classes I am in now, it's going to be a while before I post something new. Don't get me wrong, I'm working on some stuff (I've been writing and drawing pretty consistently), but I just don't have the free time to get any of it done as quickly as I (and a few of you) would like. So you're gonna have to wait.

A bit of good news, though- I finally got Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock on DVD. It's so kickass it isn't funny! I've got a lot of new tricks I'm gonna need to learn if I want to be even half as good as Jimi.

As for resolutions, I haven't made any, but I have already finished some large projects that I have been tirelessly working on for a long while now. Both of my websites- FebFest and PickPocket are now up and running- quite well, I might add. All I need to work on now are new pictures to post here (I do have some that I need to scan when I get the chance, so look out!).

Oh, I'm also trying to learn some Russian and Arabic as well. I'm doing fairly well with the Russian alphabet, which is what I'm concerned with at the moment.
I can at least write my name- Чаз- and some phonetic stuff like Водка (obiously Vodka). I still havent' learned the actual language yet, but that's to come very soon.

The kid in my guitar class that is dumb as a rock (people from Ashe know him as Aaron Wiles) wouldn't shut up!!
I made an asshole o myself all day.
Did I mention it rained for the first time all week?
Well, I was feeling shitty- nothing special on a day like this, just as I expected (I'm beginning to think it's a curse). I was sitting at home trying to find a code online for a program that I downloaded so it would actually work, when I remembered a website a friend told me I had to look at.
Reading the information on the site, I was amazed and filled with so much laughter that I couldn't help but forget all of that day's miseries.
I have to say, Maddox completyely made my day.

So here's to another wonderfully melancholy and dull 17 years, and here's to Maddox's wonderful way of making them a little more bearable,

Sitebuilder program to work on my band's website. It worked like a dream- anything you wanted, it could do. I was in a state of ecstatic joy. I spent a month working on that website, then dicided that it was time for the almighty publishing. I calmly clicked the bustton, typed in my Yahoo! password, and waited. All of a sudden, a screen popped up, sayin that I needed a webhosting subscription to publish this site. No problem. I went to the specified page, and noticed, that it costs at least $15 a month to publish a site. Who the Hell gives free website maker downloads and then doesn't let you publish a month of work?

So if anyone knows of a nice, FREE website builder that I can use offline and can easily get onto the internet, please let me know before I have to send a very angry letter to Yahoo! administrators.

In light of recenty events, I've realized that it's perfectly possible for a fucking website to follow the path of a communist country into a capitalist dictatorship...

You, know, it should be required to read Animal Farm when you're in high school...

This is all so sad. It's amazing what greed will make people do. I never thought an entire community on the internet could witness a turn of events that could lead it to be something like what I've been hearing.

I greatly adore all of you out there for taking action like you are, though. If only peple could be more active when it comes to politics on the federal levels...

Well, I've decided to take =FloydianJoe's lead and put all of my stuff on hold and in holding until a peaceful compromise is reached. And I do pray that a peaceful compromise is reached.

Upward Bound has ended for me (It's a college awareness program) forever. At least for the summer portioin. It's very sad- I've been doing this for five years, and in one afternoon, it's all over.
But I still have the rest of the school year to talk to my friends...

Bad News: We got a new computer! All of my information is on my other computer, which can't be plugged in right now, which means no more posts until it's plugged in.
And I finished Chapter 1 of my series, too....

But the best news is that I'm back, and almost better than ever!

Can't find a free Hendrix method (or any method, for that manner) site on the Internet.

Played ~alex24 's Strat on Saturday, and I feel as though mine SUCKS! I need a Strat.

Picture THIS:

About seventy kids surrounding a small gymnasium stage, thirty of the bowing, while a college guitarist is playing WITH HIS TEETH! That was the major moment of FebFest. It ROCKED!!

Just a side note: I know that his is a week late, but I have been averaging about 2 minutes of internet time a day, so I haven't been able to update the site. Sorry.

I will try to post some pictures (We got some great ones!), along with some drawings, as soon as I can.

It's been a long, grueling new year so far, what with the English and such... But I'm making it through. I haven't been able to work on anything very much because of my overload of homework each night, but I have been able to get some new pics satrted, so look out for those.

And even though this is late, I would like to have a littl remembrance thingie for a great, Buddy Holly, whose death occured some years ago near the beginning of this month. His life may be gone, but his music sure isn't!!!

As many of you have most likely noticed, I have begun to add some photos and more song lyrics to my gallery. This is because I am aware of what you, as the viewer, want. I've made a New Year's Resolution to try to either start or do a large amount of work on a picture (or, in some cases, pictures) a day. It takes FOREVER, though, so I've decided to post some other things to keep you, the viewer, occupied, and therefore happy.
