new shoot with nikki

finally a warmish day after the coldest august in 64 years - and with it a wonderful shoot with extraordinary nikki - beautiful company, stunning model, creative collaborator, tough trekker . . . the first part of the shoot was at norman lindsay gallery and gardens where we had to dodge visitors walking around the gardens . . . the second part involved a climb down - and then up - 630 steps to reach a sunlit stream where I've never shot before . . . it takes a really gutsy model to tackle such a climb for the sake of art . . . these are a few of the images - lots more to come

this has become a regular feature - usually two but this time four amazing models - one I've worked with and three I'd love to work with . . . this time it's gorgeous and super-talented model jesi - with whom I did a shoot mainly based on signs of the zodiac - and stunning overseas models whom I'm unlikely to ever get to work with - kat, theea and deneige . . . you'll see that these four models are all very different, but they have three things in common - amaaaazing eyes, a gaze which conveys a lot of feeling and personality, and a beautifully proportioned body (not that the bodies are similar but that the package fits together so well)

I might make this a regular feature - two stunning models - one I've worked with and one I'd love to work with . . . this time it's my gorgeous friend, the sublimely beautiful and always lovely white peach (the shots below are from each of our 4 shoots) - and the wonderful bellabrooke whose images I can't get enough of - there's a soft and vulnerable quality which adds to her undoubted beauty and makes her images poignant as well as sensual

DD !!!

completely surprised to be honoured with a DD and for a shot taken several months ago . . . credit here goes to jesi

for the zodiac concept of the shoot, but the location, pose and the dodgy bow and arrow are mine . . . ok I know I should have found a real bow! . . . there are several other zodiac images featuring jesi in my gallery, and a lot more in her gallery - please check them out . . . she's done the series twice with different photographers

gorgeous candace dropped into sydney on her travels and I was lucky enough to get to work with her. . . you'll see a lot more of her images in days to come . . . I'm told she'll be returning from the warmth down under to 7 inches of snow when she gets home!

it was sooo good to do another shoot with my wonderful model peach

. . . I had so many ideas! . . . but half an hour into a proposed two hour shoot it ended with a gush of blood from a dumb photographer's head, a dozen tissues bloodied beyond redemption, a scramble back over rocks holding sodden tissues to head oozing blood, strange strange looks from beachgoers, a call for an ambulance, five stitches in a mangled scalp, and all the while a mixture of grave concern and beautiful support from a sickly model who didn't particularly like the sight of so much blood

the model's major concern might have been that her photographer would die out there on the headland; the photographer's main concern was that he blew the last hour and a half of his shoot

and how did said stupid photographer bring this shoot to such a bloody end? . . . well might you ask!. . . the answer is in the first of the images below . . . see if you can figure it out
