Hey guys!
Sorry for the hiatus on updating. As far as news goes, my second camera died... so now I have NO cameras I've been working on getting my pictures organized and have about 20 or so that should be posted pretty soon. Right now I'm experimenting with giving my pictures a professional-ish looking border and a signature. If I get everything looking the way I want it and get done with studying for my finals on time, I should have them up by the end of this week or the next.
Till then, Tootles!

^.^

My poor D40 is out on repair. I hope it gets well soon and comes back out. I'll be missing it sorely.

So no real big picture taking until I get it back... I still have my Fuji though so I'll not be going on a complete hiatus.

At least this will give me some time to go through the 4+GB of pictures that I really haven't gone through yet. Need to sort through and find the good ones, organize them, and see which ones are good enough to be put up on DA. So hopefully if I find some time to reinstall photoshop (cause my comp died as well... >.< I'm WAY too rough with my machines) and if I find time amongst my school work, I'll be able to put more pictures up. YAY!! ^.^

WOOHOO!! 1,000 views! Thank you everybody that's been watching and who have visited my site!

Honestly, I haven't really been watching too closely. I just saw it today when I logged on and thought, "Woohoo!". DA has really kept me going on my art and I'm very thankful for that. It gave me a reason to go out and take pictures again and to show my art to the world. I'm trying to improve myself and learn (sometimes relearn) more about color photography. Thanks again to everyone and the DA community.

Speaking of my art, I just went on a few field trips to the Salton Sea, Orocopia mountains, Catalina Island, and a personal trip to the Birch Aquarium with . So, depending on how much time I can snag away from school, I'll have more art for you guys to look at again.

That's about it for right now... hope to post again soon!

Tootles!

... THAT is the question... and that question has been plaguing my mind for that past few days. Some pictures I take I'm happy with as they are... and others... well... they leave more to be desired. I kind of don't want to crop my pictures and edit them too much. I'll do edit a little bit every now and then just to get the light or color right... but when it comes to cropping, I'm not as forgiving. On the one hand, it'll be a better picture and I'll be happier with it. Also, I'll be creating a piece of art same as if I don't crop it. But at the same time that allows me to be lax when I'm actually taking my pictures.

Lemme know what you guys think.

Hmm... so a few days ago it was my 5 yr anniversairy here at DA. Kinda funny how it turned from one of my friends just telling me to keep pictures up here to store for other websites (which I don't do now cause I finally realized you're not allowed to >.< ) to now me actually putting up a lot of work that I've been meaning to get some exposure to.

I'm still at school now. Finals week so I'm dead. I'll be taking a bunch of pictures over the winter break. Dunno about posting them until January. Maybe do a couple of photoshoots with ~Lodinkinni ^.^

Probably will move a bunch of stuff to the scraps pile soon! Dunno if I'll post anything before I leave, but I'll try. Bye!

Well, going through the TONS of pictures on my computer. I finally found my geology folder... this is gonna take a while to get through. Probably do a few pictures every weekend or so. I'm so tired of all this school stuff I just want it to be over. I have a test tomorrow and to teach on Tuesday. I'm just stressed. Yuck! Hmmm... what else? Got sick this past weekend... so still recovering from that. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Oh! And winter break is coming soon!! woohoo ^.^ ok leaving you on that note... a good one.

Ok so when I first created a DA account... well... it really wasn't me at all. My friend just told me to use it as a site to upload pictures that I wanted to use for other websites. Needless to say that got those pictures taken down.

So now, years later, I come back to DA and start over. I'm SLOWLY getting through all my old pictures and attempting to put up all the "good" ones. So every few weekends you'll probably see a nice collection of new pictures.

If anyone would like to use any of these pictures for any reason, just send me a note through DA and I'll see what I can do about making that piece available to you.
