My mom and everyone was quite pleased with how it turned out. Although they were taken aback a bit when Rev. Thomas opened up the floor for comments on my grandma. Carl Christiansen started and gave the classic example of how grandma spoke her mind and told you if you did something wrong or to her standards. One of her co-workers from when she worked at Klines said a few words as well as another member or two from church and my aunt and my mother. All of what they said was true and classic grandma from how she and Mrs. Bone would sit in the same pew every Sunday and would kick anyone out if they were in their way to how she would always feed the birds to how people would always see the two of us (her and I) walking to the store or out doing something in the yard to how she said the only way she would leave her house was if she died and the men from Gosselin funeral home came to take her away; and that's exactly what she did.
We then all piled back into the cars and headed to the cemetery and had a little graveside thing and then people stood and BSed for a few and then we headed to the Hilton for lunch.
After lunch we (mom, John, Gary, Carol, Eddie, Joy, Aunt Lorraine, Steve, Uncle Jimmy, Liz, and myself) headed over to grandma's and sat and BSed a little longer and then my brother said he wanted to go to this pub in Keyport so everyone but my aunt and Steve headed down there for dinner.
Even though it was a cruddy reason to have the family together I enjoyed heading out for dinner. I actually got a chance to talk to my cousins which was nice since we rarely get to do that. All in all it turned out to be a good day considering the circumstances.


"Spring Awakening" was awesome on Friday (Thanks you two. It meant a lot to me. Same to you Kristen for Saturday night!). It was a full cast so that was pretty cool. Jess enjoyed herself, which was awesome. Plus, we had a fun time checking out Melissa's reactions since she had stage seats. She was such a cheeseball up there but, who could blame her. I mean at one point she had Skylar's ass in her face. I would be cheesin' too.
Stayed for the stage door. Everyone signed my shirt and playbill except for an understudy/swinger or two. Stephen Spinella (who plays the Adult Male) didn't even know that they had the "You're fucked" shirts until he signed mine. So I thought that was neat.
O.M.G. Jon Groff took fucking forever to come out. It was passed 11:30 when he did. (I think.) When he did come out he was so pleased that a few of us had waited so patiently. He told our group at the end that he felt like such a diva but, he had been inside singing. Oh well. I forgive him. I mean he did sign my shirt, playbill, the picture for Kristen (which he personalized to her), and took a picture. He also explained the reasoning behind why he did the "Touch Me" picture. (He said in his journal on stage he drew something different for each song and couldn't think of anything for "Touch Me" so he did that and then re-drew it at the Drama Desk nominee cocktail thingie.) The kid is a sweetheart. Hell. They are all such sweeties and Skylar is inching he way to the top of my list with the Jo(h)ns and Tim. I can't wait to go back in June with Kristen and wait for him with her. That'll be an awesome time.


My foot just fell asleep. This sucks.


"ANYWAY! There I go, getting off-topic again. I have the attention span of, like, a peanut."



Off to go read OLTL fics about Henry and to possibly do some stupid surveys and if I'm still awake enough I might pop in "The History Boys."

Nothing new or exciting is really going on. The end of the semester is creeping up upon me and that means summer which means more classes and work and if things work out properly: band camp! Yes. I want to go to band camp because as much of a pain in the ass marching band can be I kind of miss it and I would love to be part of a good band. Hell, it's the Rutgers marching band and if the football team does well again I would get to travel. Plus, I'd be making new friends which I am in desperate need of.

I need to get my act together in so many ways. All I can think of how much of a failure I am yet, I do nothing to try and change my ways. I have so many things to use for motivation yet, I lack it. Someone please kick my ass into shape. I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I just like to ruin good things.

I start work again this Saturday. Finally. Hopefully I'll be doing weekends soon which is great because my bank account is starting to lack in the money area. ..ahaha. Why do I have to have such expensive habits?

Speaking of one of my expensive habits; I am in desperate need of someone to go with me to the Adam Pascal concert in NYC. It's at B.B. Kings on May 9th. It's a Weds. night. Someone, please?
I don't know if I could get my mom to be ok with meeting up with someone but, I could try. Help me!

NYC next weekend with my mommy. *gasp!* I actually got her to go see a show with me. Given, it's for my Theater and Contemporary Issues class (damn that long name) but, I still got her to go in. Now if I could just get her to agree to stay for an evening show and have her do the lotto with me for "Rent" I'd be the happiest person ever!

Speaking of my theater class; I'm pretty sure that I got a 100 on my mid-term. How awesome is that?!?
Just about as awesome as my new bed is. Yes, I got a new bed. I also got some frames for my "Rent" posters but, one is being bitchy and we need to find a way to get it up on my wall. Damn this love/hate relationship with Ikea products.
