How has everybody been? I've been alright, not very busy artistic wise, but I thought I drop by to let you in on my thoughts. So far two of my buddies on DA, made a journal entry about JRPGs, so I thought I'd post a thought about my favorite RPG series...Shadowrun.

Alright, so it isn't a series that came from japan, nor is it mainly a video game series (though there are entries) but it is quite a unique RPG series, as it's a fusion between magic, technology, and a dash of the post apocalyptic.

Before you continue on reading, let me assure that there was a recent Shadowrun game that GREATLY misinterprets the series of RPG books, and I would love it if you were to hold your thoughts on it...if you must, mention it, but please give a shout out to the old school style, because Shadowrun really is, more than just magic meets machines.

Shadowrun, for some who don't know, is a table top RPG, that takes place in the year 2060 (2070 if you own 4th edition). A lot of bad stuff has happened during those years, such as magic being reborn into the world, ordinary joe's transforming into races of mythology (AKA meta-humans), a huge advancement in technology, and the world being trashed by multi million dollar corporations.

In this game, players take on the role of a Shadowrunner, best described as bounty hunters (though sometimes, Shadowrunners won't work for money, depends on who you meet), Shadowrunners will take the most illegal, most nasty, and most messed up jobs available.

The game is hailed for it's interesting blend of magic, machines, and cyberspace. It's also known for having a ridiculously powered character creator options. You can play the game as just about anything imaginable. You can either min-max your character, or play a multi tasker. You can be a hacker, cyborg warrior, shaman, or even a combination of the three, there really is no limit.

I could go on and on about the game, but I'll just mention one of my favorite aspects of the series in general...the artwork.

No matter what edition, all of the artwork is fantastic, and a lot of talented people have portrayed the dynostopian world perfectly. Heck, even though 4th edition's world looks a lil cleaner, the artwork still looks badass.

[link]

They're a site with mainly third edition illustrations, plus a few second edition stuff in there as well.

[link]

The official site for 4th edition Shadowrun, just thought I throw it in there for any curious peoples out there.

That's all for now, take care peoples.

Brutal Legend is fucking amazing, and after getting a few more things, I may replay the campagin mode...only on Brutal difficulty.

Want to know more, check out my blog sometime, I'll tell you what is metal, and what is...*shudders* alternative rock.

Anyway, I wanted to dedicate this post to a growing genre of games I officially call the commander genre. Have you ever played a game that had RTS gameplay elements in it, but also let's you sort of mix it up via action or shooter elements in it?

Brutal Legend is, what I consider a commander game, but here's another you may have missed.

Sacrafice: Think Earthworm Jim meets Magic: the gathering, and you got the perfect example of a commander type game. Sacrifice was not only hailed for it's gameplay, but also it's bizarro artwork, and voice acting. There's a demo through file planet, I highly recommend you download it.

[link] <--- An editorial done by Good old Games

Personally I would love to see more attempts at the commander genre (Heck, I heard the upcoming Warmachine video game will be a commander style game), but here's to hoping someone will be able to manage console controls...Brutal Legend, and Sacrifice needed a little work in that department.

Well, it's official, Heavy Metal will be awesome, because a lot of directors are now signed on to the project. Among these directors are Gore Verbinksi, Zack Snyder, and James Cameron...I repeat, James Cameron, of Terminator 2, and Aliens fame, will be directing a segment of Heavy Metal. If your head didn't explode in awesomness, then your a heartless bastard.

Other tid bits:

* Mark Osborne, who co directed Kung Fu Panda, also signed on to direct a segment as well. He will also be teaming up with Jack Black, who played as the main character of Kung Fu Panda.

[link]
[link]

Thank you, that is all.

Alright, so has anybody been keeping up with years E3? I have, and so far there's lots of cool games to see that will come out soon.

Anyway, here are my picks from E3:

Brutal Legend: If anyone's been reading my DA blog, or talked to me online, you would know that I am really, really stoked for Brutal Legend. An action game from the creators of Psychonauts. You basically have a roadie transported into a realm made up entirely of Heavy metal references, and famous metal figures such as Ozzy Osbourn, and Lemmy. Don't forget that the roadie himself is played by Jack Black.

Darksiders: A game created by JoeMad, creator of the Battle chasers comic, and his company Vigil games. You play as one of the four hoursemen of the apocalypse, war as he turns his back on hell. So he's fighting in a war between the forces of Heaven and hell.

Halo 3 ODST: I'm glad I got to see some gameplay footage of the game finally. Suppose to be an expansion to the original Halo 3, but you play as an ODST, rather than the Chief. Looks like a throw back to old school Halo action, which I'm guessing Bungie wanted to do before they said bye bye to there baby...speaking of which.

Halo Reach: I was kind of disappointed when Bungie announced there next game, and it was a Halo game. Don't get me wrong, I love Halo, and I'm looking forward to not only this game, but ODST. Though it would have been nice to see a new game from our friends at Bungie...someone please give them there license back for Myth please.

Anyway, I do love the novel, and I am looking forward how Bungie translate the book into a gaming experience.

Borderlands: While the only video people got to see of Borderlands was the change of graphics, I still love the concept of the game. Basically it's a first person shooter, with elements of Diablo, and Mad Max...ohh, and did I forget to mention that I play tested it?

That's right, yesterday I went to the focus testing group for Gearbox, and I got a chance to play some of it. I can't talk about the actual experience (contract, sorry) all I have to say is that you should look up all you can regarding this game. Rent it, or buy it when it comes out, and prepare for an awesome game...oh, and if you got an Xbox live account, do co-op with me okay?
[link]
[link])
[link]
[link]

That's all for now, so go check out E3 at E3 insider, there's a lot more games to look at. See ya later.

[link]

So, what's been happening with your favorite artist, that hasn't really been doing a lot of arting lately? Well, here's a few things that happened lately.

College life: Well, not really, but I am getting prepared. Mom works as a medical assistant teacher at Remington College, and she's gotten to talking with one of the instructors there. He's going to prep me up for college, and he also teaches his students how to interaction. Also, I think I might consider getting an education in networking, because I do love computer, plus one of the guys at Remington is really good at what he does...networking, from what I've seen, looks badass, plus it pays a hell of a lot.

Besides that: Nothing else has been happening with me. I have a shit loads of books to read, games to play, and plenty of RPG books I can sink my teeth into...but sadly, I haven't gotten the courage, or inspiration to do neither. While I would like a job in networking, doing all sorts of computer wizardry, I still want to create.
I personally think that I can tell a good story, maybe not as well as James Cameron, or J.R.R Tolkien, but I think I can make something that might at least entertain people, and really that's all I can ever ask for.

Also, to be honest, watching critics 24/ 7 hasn't helped much either. I talked to dad about it, and he made me feel better, though I still can't shake off the fact that no matter what I make, it's going to be torn a new asshole, or one douchbag will come along, say that my works suck, and I'll probably be the next Uwe Boll, or the terrible duo Jason and Aaron?

Although, my step mother made an interesting point, and it's that, "it's imposable to make something that everybody will hate". So I should probably stop worrying about what everybody will think of it, and just write, draw, or plan it anyway. Like what Rob Schrab said, "you are a creator, you have no choice".

Sorry if this is a little...emo let's say? I try not to be too emotional, because I don't want people to be driven away from my journal entries, or art channel in general. With all of those touchy feelings out of the way, let's talk movies. I have a tendancy to change opinions when someone else expresses it (I'm trying my damndest to not be that way) so I'll write my opinions before hand.

Terminator Salvation: This was a freaking blast to watch, and I'm sure James Cameron would be proud of it. For starters, it's nice to finally see a Terminator film, that takes place in the very future that the Cohner family try to prevent, because I'm sure we've all had thoughts on how exactly the future went down...now we have a film that depicts it perfectly.

It had just about everything you've wanted in a good action flick, action, lil bit of drama, and even a sence of adventure. The machine designs were pretty bitchin looking, although I kind of wish there were more of them. All in all, it was pretty good.

Angles and demons: The sequal to Da vinci code...though oddly, Angles and Demons was the first book, and Da vinci code came second. It doesn really matter, because the film was fucking awesome. There wasn't really anything I didn't like in that film. If you liked the first film, go watch this one.

...and before I go.
[link] <---CHEESE

See you soon.

What's really sad is that a lot of people are saying good riddance, without first admiring what 3D realms was known for...kickass games, and awesome shareware games (shareware equals demos that don't suck).

For some of you who don't know what 3D realms is, they were a company stationed in Garland Texas, and they were know for publishing Wolfenstein, and creating Duke Nukem 3D. Now you may be thinking, they made god stuff, so why are people dissing them? Because of Duke Nukem forever.

If you've never heard of the game, you must have been living under a rock all these years, or you've been playing way to many Final Fantasy games. Duke Nukem forever was to be the next Duke game, featuring more interactive environments, smart enemies, and great graphics. Only problem was development started in 1997...I'm not joking, development has really taken that long.

Don't forget thought, they had to change the graphics engine, plus if it's as interactive as the last game, then they had reason to take a long time.

A lot of people are jumping on the "fuck 3D realms" banwagon, but I'm not. Why? Because without Duke Nukem 3D, I wouldn't be playing video games in the first place. Duke Nukem 3D was the first shooter I ever played, and since then I've played not only shooters, but other games as well.

It's a sad day for me, because 3D realms was one of the places I was considering getting a job at...now that both Ensemblem Studios, and 3D realms are gone, I only have Gearbox and id software. What the hell is with Texas gaming companies closing down lately?

Here's to the Duke, because nobody steals our chicks...and lives.

Want to know something? I love hobby gaming more than I do video gaming. Sorry, but due to going online constantly, and playing games most people consider awesome, I'm a little burned out. I've been playing games for so long, I've treated it as an obsession...truth be told, I'm not ashamed of my first geekdom...though I'm a little burned out.

Don't get me wrong, games today have really shaped up to be really amazing, though some of the games have met demands that I consider iffy, ranging from length of gameplay, to TVs needing to be in HD to fully read dialog (I play my Xbox 360 on a small screen). So having a different hobby is good to prevent burnout IMO, and one of my most loved hobbies is table top gaming.

A lot of people think Warhammer when you mention miniature gaming, and it's actually not a bad game, but there are other table top games that don't enough love like the star child for Games workshop does, so tonight I'll be talking about a miniature game I can't wait to get into.

[link]

Warmachine is very similar to Warhammer, but adds steam punk elements, magic, and robotic combat. The basic can be played from a small & simple skirmish game, to an apocalypse style war. There are two units, which are also icons for both Warmachine, and it's developers Privateer press.

[link]

Warcaster: The dude in the center belongs to the heart of any good Warmachine band, the warcasters. The Warcaster can use focus points to give his or her units bonus dice to attack, or use them to cast spells. Without a Warcaster, the Warjacks would not even function, let alone fight to his maximum capacity...speaking of Warjacks.

Warjacks: The mecha dudes are known as Warjacks, and they're are practically the poster children of Warmachine and Privateer press. There mechs with one goal in mind...the destroy. They have lots of health bars, so it'll take more than a few beatings to take one down.

You can also add normal, one HP units, though a majority of Warmachine armies consist of a few Warjacks, and a Warcaster as there leader. Unlike Warhammer, your not swarmed with a few units, in Warmachine, you can have a few units, and still have a meaty game.

I just bought the rule book, and it's darn sweet. I haven't decided on an army yet, but I'm just admiring the badass artwork. So if your wanting to get into a wargaming hobby, but wanted to play small battles, then go with Warmachine.

So everybody, what is YOUR favorite table top hobby? You have one? If so, what is it? Well that's it for now, take care.

What's up? It's time for another update on things underdog. Did I ever mention that I have a blog that acts as my site? Well I do, and sadly nobody posts there, and it's really really sad that it's got little to no posts. If you like monsters, video games, and all things media, then please fell free to drop a line, maybe even show me your blog...I love to leave comments.

[link]

Let's talk about movies shall we?

Watchmen:

Me and mom went to go see Watchmen a week ago, and honestly...I loved it. If you've heard a few loyalists who have doubts bout it, it's because there was some cut content in it. There are a few missing pieces, and altered scenes, but think about it for a minute.
Watchmen was a pretty big graphic novel, not to mention the additional tid bits of information regarding the universe of Watchmen after every issue (or chapter). To try and fit all of that content in a movie would take forever, and I think it's the reason why Alen Moore thought that the comic was considered imposable to bring to the big screen.

The movie did leave a few things out, but at the same time, they left almost all of the comic intact, hell, I would go as far as to say it's pretty damn accurate to the book. The movie kept all of the important stuff in, and it still delivered the heart and soul of Watchmen, which is still about heroes that have flaws.

To end this part of the blog, I'll quote from Spoony. "If you've never read the book, and in the end you wanted to go read it, then the movie set out to do it's job. It was successful." During the movie, my mom, who just turned 55 three days ago, and teaches medical assisting, wanted to read the graphic novel...I rest my case.

Go watch it.

The Princess & the frog:

[link] <---Trailer

The cool thing about this new Disney film, is that it's going back to it's roots, which is hand drawn animation. The movie would look to be cute, and resembles the animation of the golden age of Disney films (Aladdin, Beauty and the beast, Lilo and Stitch). Now what would a golden age Disney film be without controversy? All of those films had at least one douchbag complaining about something.

Without going into too much detail, the main character is a character of African decent, and originally, I think, she was similar to Cinderella. Some people thought of a female of African decent working blue collar style, was considered racist. So, her character archetype was changed to a princess...though I think it's still in hot water, I'm not sure how or why, but I'm sure it is.

You have no idea how much this pisses me off. I mean, the first hand drawn Disney film we see in a long time, and somebody's got to go mouthing off some misunderstanding. The weird thing is that none of the CGI Disney films had any controversy towards them, but all of the silver age and golden age Disney films had them. Peter Pan, Mulan, Beauty and the beast, Aladdin, Lady and the tramp, I could go on.

I wish I could say something to try and defend Disney, but there's just no way around it, I'm probably going to get my ass picked by activist that want to live in the real world. Am I the only one that wants to go on a killing spree on these people?

Regardless, I really hope this movie turns out well, I mean after all, it does look cute. The frog is pure cute gold. ^^

New Heavy metal movie:

Perhaps the film I'm really excited about, is one that's not coming until a year or two from now. That movie being a CGI adaptation of Heavy metal. For some that don't know, Heavy Metal is a magazine that came from France, but found it's way to America when someone from Nation Lampoon got a hold of it.

The magazine is basically a melting pot of comics from different parts of the worlds. While each of these comics were different, they all had the same soul...Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll. Each story would be different, ranging from one shots, to a long spanning series. Some were sci fi, others were fantasy, and some were adventures, while others were head scratchers.
The comic was cool for it's day, because it was pretty hard to find a mature comic back in those days, and here was all of those adult comics in one magazine. Though nowadays it's pretty easy to find adult themed comics, but back then, Heavy Metal was your fix for mature comics.

The magazine is still going strong to this day, and provides niffty stories for the mature mind. A movie was made back in the 80s, which had different animated shorts, all taken out from issues of Heavy metal, and strung together to tell a story. The film was kind of like the magazine, but it came with cool musi...

I own Bioshock for the Xbox 360, which is a First person shooter/ Role Playing Game hybrid, which won multiple awards, and received numerous praise.

Now you may be thinking that I'm bashing the game, well I'm not, in fact I like Bioshock...a little. The game looks great, tells an epic story (or Re telling a story) and the gameplay is a little bit more than just run and gun.

Bioshock is a fun game...that was, until I managed to get a hold of a playable demo of it's previous sibbling, System shock 2. After playing that one small demo...I replayed it, and replayed it, I must have re played it three times so far (I could try the harder modes, but I'm not sure).

It's sad that I'm playing a demo, more than I am a full game. Getting to the point, there's a lot of old school SS2 fans that played Bioshock, and...to take a quote from Yatzee, "Yatzee you charismatic stallion, what kind of complaint is that? System Shock 2 was brilliant, any game in any way like it should be equally good. But that's the thing, it isn't like System shock 2, IT IS SYSTEM SHOCK 2" .

Bioshock is basically a Biopunk/ Steampunk re telling of SS2, or so I heard. After playing that short demo, I realized that all of the critics and SS2 fans are wrong. Why, well let's compair.

System shock 2 has upgradable stats, an inventory system, and weapons that can break.

Bioshock features no stats, no inventory, and weapons can only run out of ammo.

I would also goes as far as to say SS2 is more scary than Bioshock, and that's saying a lot for a game that's graphically inferior to a game that had more artists than game designers.

I wonder why game developers feel the need to strip out all of the complex features of our favorite games? Deus ex had nice statistics, but it's sequel removed all stats. Elder scrolls Oblivion removed the in depth character creation of Daggerfall, and Fallout 3 is basically Oblivion with guns, and we all know how stat heavy Oblivion was.

I do understand that games have to be scaled down a little bit for others to enjoy (that's why I enjoy Might and Magics 3 through 5) but there's a fine line between making it easier on the player, and just dumbing it down completely.

Were not idiots, in fact, game developers will be surprised that were still good at games today, as we were back then. We can adapt, learn quickly, improvise, rationalize, all that jazz. We need more complex games...mainly more complex FPS/RPG hybrids. Don't continue to fuck them up people. FPS/RPG hybrids are, after all, the Lays potato chips of video games.

Before I begin, how many of you are in line to buy Halo Wars? Well, whether you want to get it because it's Halo, or not get it...because it's Halo, I'm getting it for two reasons. One is that it looks pretty sweet, and it would nice to try an RTS that focuses more on combat than resource management, and the other reason is because Halo Wars is actually Ensemble Studios last game.

[link]

Apparently, M$ doesn't have enough money to support all of the Ensemble guys, that, and Microsoft really doesn't care about PC focused titles anymore (but hey, who doesn't now a days) so they decided to shut down Ensemble, and 50% of the employees have made a new studio, which oddly enough will be supported by Microshits gaming studios.

Now for some of those who don't know who Ensemble is, they made the smash hit PC RTS, Age of Empires, which would receive two sequels, and a spin off RTS that focuses on creatures and gods of ancient myth.

Funny how I took this studio for granted, because I LOVED Age of Empires 1, and it's sequel The age of kings when growing up. Sad that I never got a chance to play AoE3, and Age of Mythology, but I look those titles sooner or later. It's also sad that I never knew that Ensemble studios lived right next to me (We both live in Dallas Texas) so if they were still around, I would have applied for a job there...oh it's so unfair how the world works.

Age of Empires, IMO, was more fun to play than Starcraft and Warcraft, and it was that, and Total Annihilation, that got me into knowing RTS games. It was also niffty that in order to work for Ensemble, you had to play a table top game...now how many developers do that?

Sorry bout going on like that, anyway you can find out more about this once great studio in a few links.

[link] <---Gamasutra visits Ensemble Studios one last time

[link] <---Age of Ensemble: a history of Ensemble

Also, if anybody has never played Age of Empires 1 or 2, then what the hell are you doing reading this? Go get a collection pack with both games, and see why this studio, along with the game series did great. They're not shutting down because Halo Wars will suck, in fact, I hear it plays great, it's that Micro$oft doesn't have enough money to support any of there future projects.

Although the studio is shutting down, all is not lost. I'm looking forward to the new studio, plus a few people are still going to support online play for Age of Empires 3, so be happy bout that.

Anyway, that's all I have for now. Look forward to Halo wars in March, and if anybody has an Xbox 360 with live support, you can download the demo coming this Friday (Next week for silver subscribers) To leave this journal entry, I'll quote from Tony Goodman.

"I think I said it at the first, and I really believe it -- from the very beginning we've always said, 'The mission of our company is to make a great place to work... and to make great games.' We'd always say it in that order."

Farewell Ensemble, and thanks for all the fond memories.

Alright, so I'll admit that one of the only movies that I'm looking forward to next year are Pixar's Up, and the year after that it's Heavy metal...but I finished reading Watchmen, and I'm looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.

For some that don't know, Watchmen was originally a Graphic Novel about a group of retired superheroes, who slowly but surly get killed off one by one. The graphic novel has everything that typical superhero comics didn't have back in the day, such as a dark atmosphere, blood, rape, murder both of young and old, sex, prejudice, and an ending that's not only a mind fuck, but also..well, you'll either have to read it or watch the movie to find out.

It's really hard to describe, and even harder to think of a movie adaptation. Why? It can be done now a days, though you have to take this in account. For starters, the graphic novel was written by Alan Moore, who had some of his other graphic novels turned into movies...which did poorly at the box office, (Seriously, did anybody like V for Vendetta, or League of extraordinary gentlemen?) .

Though there is hope, since that the guy who is directing this movie, also directed 300, which I heard was pretty loyal to the comic it was based upon, plus some people enjoyed watching it.

Well anyway, take care, if anybody is still out there.

The thing I didn't know was that there was a lot of controversy on this game, even before it came out.

Who knew that Ion Storm Dallas, which was founded by the originator of the First Person Shooter genre John Romero, would receive so much shit...over this teaser poster --> [link]

Well anyway, there was a lot of shit thrown at Ion Dallas's way, slung by internet trolls, "professional" gaming journalists, and even a handful of Ion Dallas employees. The company closed down after the selling of the PC-RPG Anachronox.

Many said good riddance to the company...except one employee, who thought working there was a fantasy come true. I found an article long time ago, which described, from an Ion Storm employees eyes, what went down at the place. If you love videogames, company history, or high life companies, then please follow the link to the story that was never told.

---> [link] <---

While I hate Daikatana, it was sad that a trusting man such as John Romero, was torn down by a bunch of assholes. This is one of the reason why I hate internet trolls, and people who always come on these sites, with nothing to offer but drama, and negative criticism.

Well I hope you enjoyed this update, and have a good night.

...that's all I have to say, because nothing of interest has happened to me lately...well, there have been a few things.

+ A month ago, my mom went through a surgery on her knee, because she wasn't able to move for quite a while. The problem was that a part of her leg was so completely eaten through, it was just bone on bone...gross I know. So she got a new knee, and she's been walking a little better. Although she's still doing Exersizes for it, she's been doing better.

+ I've been playing a lot of DOS games, and I've learned that almost all of the shareware games were a lot more generous than todays demos. Today, a demo lasted for about two or three levels long, but back then, you got one full episode, plus you could also order the real game to get the full package. Man things were cool back in the DOS days.

Well that's all for tonight. I'm not going to post for a while on the internet, because I've been spending way too much time on it. It's about high time I finished my mountain of games, and think up a project. I may drop bye from time to time, but that's just about it, I need to do stuff around the house you know.

Anywho, I leave you with a few treats, and wish you all a happy night.

The critic was written by a few ex Simpson writers.
I've been meaning to post this for quite a while, but...try guesing why I haven't. ~.^

Anyways, let's talk seriousness okay? AND I WANT YOU TO READ ALL OF IT. Don't worry, it won't kill you...much. ~.^

From the words of

"Basically Erin (her name) is very sick with a very unique situation that makes her ineligible to get medical help. She has come across an offer Megaupload has put out. If a file you have on our server generates 5 million hits we will pay over $10,000 dollars. This amount I think will cover her medical bills.

The situation for this girl has gotten desperate. I've sent out emails to persons who I think could make a difference in drawing a crowd to her plight. But now I want to enroll YOU (yes, you) into this.

DA is a HUGE place isn't it? Think about it. We've got over 1 million members. Can you imagine if 1 million people downloaded that file? It's possible and I'm determined to help this girl. I download the file once at home and then at work. Everyday.

I am asking for your help. If you are an artist and you KNOW you have people who read your journal, post an entry about Project Download. Spread the word. You can do this. Positive enrollment people, I don't want to hear anything about it being a hoax. I would rather take the risk of it being a hoax than allowing someone to die. Wouldn't you?"

I've been downloading the little text file for quite a while, although not daily. For some of you who aren't into charaties, and don't want to chip in, than I can respect that. There's nothing more irritating than to have to put your name on a list, or donate money when your having people saying, "Ohh man, if you don't want to donate, than your heartless."

Sometimes I too just want to be left alone, and not have people point me out as a bad guy...BUT PLEASE HERE ME OUT ON THIS ONE. This kind of charity doesn't require any actuall money donating, and you don't necciseraly need to download everyday, just download once, and spread the word if your an active DA poster.
What's the harm in downloading a text file? If you take this up, than just dowload the file, delete it, and if you don't feel bad, than download daily. The file can be replaced, and won't harm the counter at all. So why not? It's not costing you anything besides a few seconds.

Besides, this girl seems very cool, and she won't give it up if this turns out to be a hoax...so I'm going to see where this rabit hole leads, and I hope that you'll join me.

[link]
The site that explains everything in full. Download the text file anywhere on your computer, and you can delete it if you want. Just make sure that you download the file at least once. Download daily to improve this girls counter.

[link]
The girls livejournal. It's best to check daily to see what's goin on, if your really intrested in seeing this through.

I would like to thank for pointing this out, and I hope to hear more from her. I hope that you can chip in, and spread the word.

So after spending a few months away from DA, let me be the first to say...I will be taking the month off of my computer...HA HA HA, bet you didn't see that one coming huh? Ha, I'm such an asshole. ^o^

I won't be Gaia, won't be in the Katbox fourms, nor will I be on Deviant art for this month. Basicly because I spend all of my time on the computer, or on games. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with that, but I feel like I should be focusing more on being creative, like illustrating some mascot characters I can call my own, or write a story...which I actually tried, but failed due to lack of attention.

Two things made me want to do this. I was reading in BLEEDMANs latest journal entry, and what he said sort of inspired me to take some time off for myself.

You can read it here.
[link]

While I enjoy going online and biting off RPG players heads, and looking at art, I don't think I've ever really took enough time to express my passion for art, or put it in motion. The other thing I was influenced by was the time I spend with mom today.
We went out for a burger ((I just realized the awsomness of Mayo)) and then we went shopping. It wasn't really the Wal mart, or the burger, but it was the sky. Spring has a diffrent look, and it's very...uplifting.

So why should I spend my time doing something that never changes, when I could be living it up out there? I can understand why I usually play games, and go internet surving, because I can't get out of the house. I'm still learning to drive, and I'm kind of scared to go outside and walk. ((THere are some neighbers we have that are kind of...wierd?))

It's preety hard to just let loose, and enjoy life, when you have no where to go. So maybe I can find a motive for this month? I hope that I can make use of this nice April.

- - - - - - - - - -

Speaking of April fools, one of my favorite artists, , just pulled a joke...and I'm not laughing. A few minutes later after I woke up, I decided to see whether or not he updated my favorite webcomic Las Lindas. I was treated to a pretty funny Aprile fools joke, which was an illustration by one of the writers.
Now remember that I didn't know it was April fools at the time, so I found it a bit...funny. It was really his FAREWELL speach, which I thought was very sad. I was close to replying on the Katbox thread about how sad I was...then sombody said it was April fools.

What bothered me about it was that Chalo really was having problems back home, and when I thought about it, I was htinking about how his problems were connected to the message. Come to think of it, he wouldn't leave his fans with a few words if he really was leaving. He would also have his writer buddies writer about it in the updates section of the site.

I'll wait until he replies in the thread, and just forget about it, and let it roll off my back. It wasn't funny, but I don't want to make a big deal out of it.

Well anyways, now that my lights are on, it's time to see what awaits me in the month of April. I'll see you guys in May okay?

Yours truly

Well this has truly been a confusing week for not just me, but my family as well. About two or three days ago, before the week started, my brother got a puppy from a flee market. Her name was Kaily, and she was the most patcient, precious, and harmless puppy you ever sat eyes on.

So we kept her for three days, on the fourth day we noticed that she was acting strange, and that she had vomiting and squirty poops. It turned out that she had a harmful stomach virus, and on Friday we sent her to a hospital. At first she was doing great, but then around 5 or 6, we got a call from the hospital...she collasped. This upset my brother very very much, who treated her with all the love and care he could give.

While it was sad, the doctors mentioned his care for Kaily. They said that she passed in peace, and that he did for her what no other person would do. It's also heart touching that for this short week, we gave her a peacful place to sleep, eat, play, and cuddle. We loved her, she loved us, and I'm glad that she came into our life. Me, my brother, and the family will never forget Kaily.

While it was tragic to lose a family member, it wasn't a hopless day week. My brother got the job at childrens, which is a hospitle for...well...children. I don't know when he'll start, but he's got high hopes for this job. I hope he does well.
I won't be able to scan any new things in, because of my lack of scanner. You see, I may have rememberd talking about my step mothers new born baby, so if you don't know what I'm talking about, then look back at my previous journal entries.

Anyways, he has to get used to his enviorment, so nobody can visit until she's comfurtable. In the mean time, please look foward to my journal entries, as I will announce my return to my dads scanner.

...maybe I should write some stories or poems in my devious gallery?

God I hate RPGs... ((Not really))

...that's what I feel like inside when I go on Gaia, or any other RPG based fourm. I like to play them, and I also admire there ability to go easy on you, but I love shooters more.

Okay, so I get the Quake trilogy last week, which has the original Quake, Quake 2, and Quake 3 arena. I was very happy to be playing the original again, and it brought back somme memories...not really. It's awsome how much I grew in skill over the course of three or four years. I use to play Quake on easy, now I'm actually playing, and surviving on nightmare mode. I'm not really skilled, because it's an old game, and it sort of feels like hard mode, only with some tweaks here and there.

Anyways, I decided to post about it today on the Tales of fourms, since that there are some that like FPS games...but I was heart broken at the replies I got. One guy said...

"I dislike most FPS games because they bore me. I hate the first person view because it's too restrictive. No, game, I don't care if it's realistic. I don't play games for realism. I hate losing because I get shot in the back whilst 1000000 goons are shooting me from the front. Call of Duty 2 did this all the time. Even though I liked that enough to beat it. Only had one other game to play for my xbox 360. "

Well if your getting shot in the back, then tune down the difficulty, and use the god damn mouse. It's funny how RPG fans that loath shooters talk about how much there type of games are deep and addictive...hey wait a minute, doesn't that count as realism? When characters talk to one another doesn't that symbolize realism? When characters have emotional moments, doesn't that count as realism?

People can say that shooters are realistic, and that they don't play a game for it's realism, but when a story is being told in an RPG, and characters feel emotion, that's diffrent? THAT IS A LOAD OF BULLCRAP.

When you get intrested in a characters emotions, or what's happening in the story, your intrested in how human these people can act...so when a shooters applies the same thinking to there games, it's stupid?

I'll use this next time I see a total RPG spaz that hates shooters. Realsim in characters + realsim in shooters = ammo to use agains assholes

What's so hard about using a mouse and key board? I mean in Kingdom hearts 2 or Tales of the Abyss, your always moving to avoid damage, or recouperate. What's so hard about playing a game on easy? What's so boring about taking cover from enemy fire, using weapons, releading in tight spots, and on occasions use vehicles?

WHAT IS YOUR LOGICT?

Even though they may not like action RPGs, what about Turn based RPGs? You have to think about what your doing, plan on who to strike agains, recoperate, use items, and kep at it until victory. Healing and attacking is the same thing to run around and gun enemies down.

Not all shooters involve mindless shooting, because some require you to think on your toes, THE SAME THING APPLIES TO RPGs EITHER ACTION OR TURN BASED.

So basicly, some RPG nuts make out points about shooters, that they're favorite games have, and ignore them because they're blind.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So now let me calm myself down and point out the reasons why some people don't play them. I can understand the first person prespective is restriced, and that it can cause motion sickness to some. I also understand that the gore in almost all shooters scares people, so I'll give them that.

I really don't hate RPGs, but sometimes when I go on sites like Gaia, or places that mainly focus on RPG lovers, I go fanatic when people mention that they're genre is awsome, and that shooters are crap. I have no real reason to be mad, because there are some that like shooters, and not everybody likes the tastes I do. Were all diffrent in our special way, that's what seperates us from the hippies.

I'm not trying to be soft to anybody that has a stupid reason to hate FPS games, I'm just trying to look at both sides of the coin.

If any gamers hate shooters and love RPGs, but they're allowed to see gore and violence, then give shooters a chance. Play it on easy, and for god sakes learn how to use a mouse, and this is one fact that all shooters must learn...NEVER...STAND...STILL.

Anyways, I feel better now. So now I'll leave you all until tommorow. They're will be a true update on all that is underdog.

Have a safe night.

V day is the actuall holiday, but we already know that right? So sorry for a very late journal entry, I'm kind of shy around the computer, and can't type in journal entries in other computers...I'm more comfertable typing them at home.

So anyways, last week I finished Tales of the Abyss, and it was good. I was supprised at how many hours I clocked in on that game two days before I finished it. On the first day, I started at 7 PM, then decided to pick it up later on in the day...it was 8 AM when I finished it. On the day of reconing, I started at 4 PM, took some breaks here and there, then I defeated the boss person at 6 AM.

I'm like that at times, when I try to finish RPGs, I clock in a lot of play time. The only one that didn't take me long was Fable, so I clock in a lot of play time with lengthy RPGs. I like RPGs, but I just can't bring myself to ever play it again. When it's finished, it's finished, because I don't like to replay games that took me a couple of weeks to finish.

Last week, my step mother brought a new baby into the world. A boy, and he's quite the precious...also has quite the temper. Anyways, I stayed at my dad's house twice this week to babysit my sister. First day was cool, because she was focused on cleaning the house, she had no time to pick on me. I also had to clean the house, but it was pretty easy.

So now I shalt show you something special...two actually.
[link] This is the myspace for one of the coolist ands I found last year. Let me share my love for "the rentals" with you.
You may have noticed that I listen to this band, and I always wanted to show you some of there stuff. So here's there myspace, and listen to "The adventure" possably one of there best ones. ^-^

Star of bethlaham is pretty good, but there's barly any singing in it...it should be good for times where you just want to listen to some tunes rather than singing though. ^-^
HAPPY V DAY EVERYBODY.

I went to the dentist today, and had one of my teeth drilled in, and filled up. I still feel the after effect, but this was due to me not taking all of my medicine...in the wise words of Butters, I need to learn to behave myself.

Anyways, I'm passing the time by watching some gameplay videos from Tales of destiny remake...GD DAMNIT, I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD. i_i

But je wiss, I'm forgeting to tell you another thing. When I was growing up, I had this guy from a clinic and he was just down right painful. Didn't even get some medicine to make me feel better, prick. This doctor, who actually works at a dentist is kind of cool. I was listening to my dads i pod, and there were a few times where I felt pain, but that went away with some laughing gas, and some medicine on the tooth.

I felt kind of embarassed because I was chuckling a lot. When it was all said and done, I went...well it's over now. All I need to do is take the rest of my medication, and go there three more times to fill some cavities and cleaning my mouth out.

I feel pretty hurt, but It's nothing I can't deal with.

Well I'll show more of my stuff, and even give you some pictures on a project for school.

In the mean time, why don't you look at Tales of destiny in action.

Here's another thing to look into, the intro for Tales of rebirth. It's very uplifting.

I have 13 pictures that are just dying to get shown. ~.^

Sorry if I haven't posted any art...or even looked at all of your art, to anybody who is reading this. You see, I had a cold in which took me a week to get over, but when I get ot my dads house, which should be tommorow or the day after that, I'll post some copies and original art I did.

This week I've been heavily influenced by a cartoonist named John K, full name John Kricfalusi. You may not have heard of his name, but I'm sure you've heard of his work...Ren and Stimpy? That's right, when I was watching some previews on Season 5 of South park, one of the advertisements was a first and second season DVD box for the show. When I get some money by chores ((Or when I learn to drive LOL)) then I might pick up the ENTIRE 1-5 seasons of Ren and Stimpy, all in one box.

I like some of his work so far, because the characters show a lot of expression on there faces. I know that a lot of shows focus on characters and there facial expressions, but Ren and Stimpy is diffrent, because it has that look of ugly and just plain wrong...but it's also cute at the same time. Some of the skits and episodes are kind of funny too, when there not farting of course. XD

John K has a lot to offer when it comes to cartoon lore, I mean he knows his stuff...but there is one part in his personal character that forbids me to like him a LOT. I like his work, and his passion for cartoons, but he hates almost all of the cartoons today, including all anime. He says that they're half assed, and they don't put enough effort into there shows...but some of the shows he mentions I actually like.

Although he is wise when it comes to cartoons, I'm still going to love anime and the current trend of cartoons today, because regardless of there so called "Half asses" drawing, they're still fun to watch, and at least they make up in story telling, something Ren and Stimpy lacks.

Well that's all I have for now...ohh and if you want to see some of John K's teachings, then hear you go...

[link]

but be warned...I really do mean this too, he'll probably rip on your favorite thing when making a point. But don't let his opinions drag your love for anime and manga down okay? ~.^

Peace out

I'm really shy when it comes to scanning in stuff. Since that I have no scanner at home, I usually have to go to dad's house, and get his permission to scan it in. It would be good, but I don't like it when he offers me to do it in photoshop...but all I have to do is tell him why I don't want to color it, and he'll understand.

I like photoshop, but I usually want to leave a piece intact, because everybody deserves to have there conceptual scetches intact, even if they are a bit messy.

So I do have a new scetch pad, and I'll post more of my artwork if I get the chance. Poor guys who read this, you must really want to see my stuff badly, because I do talk about it often, and maybe I need to make a few serious things on DA, for the purpose of cridique.

Well there's nothing to report on, except that I've seen Halo 3 in it's production stage, and so far it's shaping up to be a good FPS. There also fixing a problem in which they saw in Halo 2, one of the enemies was unbalanced, and since that the elites are gone ((The blue guys main forces of the covenant)) the brutes will be taking place of them. So I can't wait to fill them up with lead. ^.^

But I'm getting ahaid of myself...I would also like to share some new artist in which I would like for you to pay them a visite.

He's in charge of the art for the webcomic "Las lindas" and he's quite awsome.

The fellow who is telling you to die is Dan heron, and he makes all sorts of goodies. A lil comic titled "Lil DMC" which I have yet to read, and most of his female characters aren't afraid to express there love for each other. ^-^

Well that's all for now, til next time.

I have been tagged by a and now I have to talk about six things about myself, as well as weird habits. So here I go.

1: I love the sounds of the stomach...there I said it, your the first to know, I love the little gurgling effects, it makes me all happy and such.

2: Loves the sound of a heartbeat...wow, are these gross facts or just weird?

3: I love to wave my pen around, and sometimes I pretend to think that I'm either swinging a sword, or that I'm firing a gun.

4: No matter if somebodies around or not, I love to quote and do South park immitations. I do a good job of it really.

5: I'm pretty lazy...no I take that back, I'm really lazy.

6: I rarly take a shower, and I rarly brush my teeth...but I'm changing that tonight.

Well that's all I can say, so here's how the system works.

#1: If you are tagged by me, then you have to fill in six facts about yourself, make them weird.

#2: After you are done, then you may chosse six other people to tag, and they must do the same.

#3: You cannot tag a person that has already been tagged.

My people I tag

#1

#4

#5

I also need to hang around DA more, because every day I log in, there's always 10+ pictures, and 20 or more jounral entries to read. It's starting to feel like a juggling act more than a daily visit. That and I rarly hang around the fourms, go looking at the galleries, and chat in the DAnm chat rooms you know? All these cool features, and a bag of chips. ^_^

...I accidently let this Japaness artist on DA have a little too much flaming. I sent him a note, and instead of commenting on his awsome Code age commanders wallpaper, I let him have some of my sony hate flaming...whoops. I'm not sure how Japaness take that, and my guese that either he hasn't replied yet, or he really takes sony seriously. So I need to send him an Email appoligizing about my rudness.

Well anyways, next week on Tuesday, I'll post about my new years plans.

HAVE A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
Our mother was suppost to get his teeth fixed as a christmas gift, but now he's not going to get it, but to make matters worse, he's going to have to pay for his teeth. He's got no job, and he's trying to get a job by filling in a few resumes. Our family is also giving him a hard time, and to top this crappy year off, he noticed some pink stuff coming out of his ear.

Everyday he tries to get a job, but some of us in the family think he's slacking off, and they try to tell him what he should do. He's dealt with so much of our shit, and even I've made him feel bad at times. Today, I was going to clean up the living room, but he wond up doing it because mom was frustraited.

So what is your plan:

I was thinking of having four artist draw and color in a picture for him, so that he'll know that I care for him, and in hopes that he'll find a job.

Information on what to do:

I need four artist to make a colored picture. This can be colored in any way, photoshop, colored pens, colored penicls, whatever.

The theme should be like a happy new years card, and you can use your avatars, or characters of your own creation. They can be dressed up in any way you see fit.

Things not to do:

I don't want anything violvent, sexual, or disgusting in this picture okay? That mean's no sex, no vore, no killing, no nudity, and no curse language.

Prize:

I'm sorry to say this, but I don't know how to use paypal, I can't use a credit card, and I have little money. So if anybody chips in with the project, then I'll draw, and color in a picture for each of you, as best I can.

Dead lines:

The pictures should be entered by December the 29th, so that It'll give me time to prepare the pictures for him on the 30th. If anybody does participate in this, you will recive your prize from me either January or Febuary next year. You can either post your entries on DA under the title "Brotherly new years", or send the entries via Email at sun_panther@hotmail.com, under the name "Brotherly new years"

I will post your prizes on my DA gallery, so no need to worry. ^^

Closing up:

If anybody doesn't participate in this, then I'll hold nothing against you. If you have something else planned, then I'll hold nothing against you.

I'm deeply sorry that I'm asking you all to do this with no money in exchange, and if I had some money to give away, then I would pitch in.

I'm not trying to trick anybody into giving me free art, or wanting to have you all work so hard to fool you.

And finaly, please understand that I'm not trying to make my parents out to be ogres, or my third brother to be some sorrowful person. He's a great guy, and I have such a great family, I just want to make up for all the times my brother helps me.

So please, help me out on my brothers gift. i_i

Wow, the year has just flown by huh? I did the following things this year...

...
...
...

...pathetic huh? Actually I did quite a few things, such as join Deviant art, met some really talented artists, got to be friends with them, and look at all sorts of pictures and journal entries. I also got to see the Venture brothers 1 and 2 seasons, and the best thing...

...I got to see the most awsome South park episodes ever.

While I sort of had a good year, and it was pretty good to me...I wish I did more with my year you know? My life I sort of pissed away with videogames, and that was it. This year I got to learn about art, and some select jobs in the videogame field...hey...

Have I ever told you that I wanted to become a videogame designer? If your wondering, a videogame designer writes down ideas for gameplay, such as how you fight monsters, the systems, and challenges the players face, basicly they create the overal gameplay formula. After working on art, and if I'm not that great of a designer, I could be a character designer...huh?

A character designer is like the gameplay designer, except that he or she in the character designing department work on the characters in the games story. There outfits, apperance, and how they act.

Well I better get going, I have to scan in my birthday card for someone. My brother is waiting for a call, and that could take for days...so I can't use the computer at my house.

Before I go, let me say to all of those out there, even if your not reading this...I wish you a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

If I can use the internet a couple of days before christmas, maybe I can let you in on my plans for next year? It ain't a present, but it is a goal list for me...more on that when I can type it up...I hope I can type it up. i_i

Well in case you were wondering, I am doing fine. I haven't been able to progress in my art, because I keep thinking about all of what I have to do ((The art trade with OVISNIGER, my farewell letter to all my friends on Gaia, a present for them on christmas day, and that contest entry for Endlings contest.)) but I will take the time out to relax, as I explain about one of the second most popular videogame series in Japan.

We all know that Final fantasy is a great series that took Japan by storm, and we all know that Dragon quest is so popular, Japan made a law staiting that you can't buy the new DQ game on a weekday because of skipping work. There all good, and they are even known world wide...except for the Tales of series. It's a shame to say that not a lot of people know what the series is, because they spend there time too much on the other RPG series, and it's even more painful that Namco messes it up...I'll explain later on that okay?

Tales of in a nutshell: Basicly the Tales of series is a franchise of action RPGs. THere are diffrent qualities that seperate it from Final fantasy. FF has realistic visuals, turn based combat, and a dark feel to it. The tales of series on the other hand is quite the oppasite, because it features light hearted visuals, quarky characters, and the one feature that's the most reconized...it's fusion between RPG and...fighting?

That's right. One of the things that made Tales of series what it is today wasn't just the old timey fantasy feel, or it's cooking system, but it's combat system, which is real time, and sort of plays out like a fighter. The usuall combat start's out on a 2D plane, in other words you can't move around a lot. You can pull the attack button one direction, or you could let's say for instances you pull attack + up direction, that creates an upper cut that can reach higher enemies.

You also can cast spells, depending if you have a magic caster in the party. Your AI also has a mind of it's own, but you can still give them commands via the stradigy screen. But enough of that, let's talk more about it's other features.

There's also a cooking system in the game too. Basicly your givin one recipy in the game you can cook, but you can also find more if you can find chefs that are hidden all over the games world. You must first have the right ingredients to prepair a meal, and after you meat the requirements to fix a meal, then you can have one of your party members make it.

Each one will have a skill level of making a dish, if it's low they'll probably make something burnt, but the more they cook it, the more they'll get use to making it. Making meals can be more cheap than just buying potions and elixers, and some meals even have posative effects...though you don't need to make a meal to survive in the game. XD

One more thing about the series that's sort of cool is that each Tales of game has an anime opening, and sometimes it's followed along with J pop, giving it that special anime twist. So yes, the Tales of series is quite unique. I may have left out a few things about the series, so be sure to stay tunred for links okay?

WHat I hate about it: Namco of amarica has got to be one of the most god awful gaming publishers I've ever seen. A lot of the Tales of games in Japan have J pop introductions, full voiced dialoge, and even Hi ouges ((Which are basicly finishing moves in combat)). We amaricans, Canadians, and europeans get screwed by having the games come out with the J pop removed, Hi ouges removed, 50% less dialoge, and a half assed translation.

We rarly get any Tales of games, maybe we would be more intrested in the series if you just let the features intact? I mean take a look at FF, some of there content is intact for others, and NIS also has more features than it's Japaness conterpart game. I hate you Namco and Bandai Namco, because you give us half assed games, and I would reccomend inthe future you pull your greedy heads out of your ass and just leave the content intact okay?

Well besides that, I will give you some links to enjoy and give you insight on the series.

This is a wiki site for the Tales of series
[link]

Here is a site that gives each Tales of entry screenshots, explenations, and up to date stuff.
[link]

Here's the Japaness opening to the Tales of the Abyss game.
[link]

Well I hope you enjoyed my little lecture, I better take a shower now, and maybe draw a little.

Alright, so sorry if I haven't replied latly, because it's hard to find what I want to talk about. I'll admit, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to drawing, because I hang around the computer more than I do draw...if I really wanted to be good, then I should take it more serious, and do it more...though it's hard to set a day when you want to actually do it, and it's even harder to try to enjoy it you know? Maybe it's because I don't spend enough time with myself, instead it's always on the computer.

Though...when I draw, sometimes I draw Jinx from Teen titans. I don't know why I like to draw her, or why I like her more than the heros, but I love her. Look around DA, you should find a couple of pictures of her. She basicly has pale white skin, rosy cheeks, cat eyes, pink hair that's designed like horns, and she wears a black dress. She's really awsome, and I enjoy drawing her, even if she doesn't turn out the way I want her too...and belive me, she turns out bleh.

Well yeah, I'll work on some things, and...actually I don't know what to do on DA. I think it's about showing off your stuff, but at the same time, it creates a community that other artist hang out. I find it a lot better than Gaia. Man I can't stand Gaia anymore, because it's all about teenagers who don't know what there saying. They think that by bad mouthing something makes them smart, such as bringing down an artist because all of his characters look the same.

They don't notice that ALL ANIME AND MANGA SHARE THE SAME FUNDAMENTALS, big eyes, small mouth, small nose, thin body, and charming characters. They all share the same things that make it noticable, but these teens think that there being unoriginal. A lot of Gaia hates Tetsuya Nomura, and Akira Toriama because all of there characters are the same, and there personality are stail.

Sometimes Gaia makes me want to puke in discust because of this common feature, but people like my dad and my brothers say that the people who say such things about great artist, aren't really great themselves. They have nothing better to do in there pathetic lives than to make a big deal out of everything. So I don't listen to Gaia a lot, but it still gets on my nerves. I should quit Gaia before I break a blood vessle. -_-

Well anyways, I shall see you in a couple of weeks, and maybe I'll have some stuff for you. I thank everybody who is watching me, and a special thanks to OVISNIGER for making me that stuff. It's you kind of people, and not the A holes on Gaia, that make's Deviant art worth going to, a huge thank you.

Okay...so the reason why I haven't been updating this here journal is because...well...I have no idea where to go. I still go on Gaia, but I should be paying more attention to Deviant art, because after all, I don't think this website exsists just for people to show there wares...in fact it could be something much more.

I don't really know how to improve myself, and I'm to the point where I'm too scared to draw or let alone make solid lines without it messing up on me. But at the same time I know where I want to be, what my finish line is, my actuall goal. I know where that goal is...but I don't know how to get there. I know that there are many artist that inspier me to try diffrent things, and there are so many things I want to try out.

I whould like to practice in BLEEDMAN's style so that I can...well it's just for fun, and it's an excuse to draw something, rather than nothing. Then after looking at great artist like Pyromaniac...and you Larienne, I whould like to know more about traditional art. There are so many routes I can go, but they sometimes get tangled up in the web of videogaming and sleeping.

I mean when I woke up, I was on the internet, browsing around as usuall, then I went to dad's house for schooling. When mom picked me up to go home, instead of drawing or playing games...I headed for bed, to take a nap. Now I don't mind naps, but my sleeping habits get the best of me, and I wish they didn't.

I admit, in front of those who are reading this...I'm lazy. All I do is play games, half ass my way through school, sleep and play games for like 30 minutes or less...what the hell is wrong with me? I should be being more active, I'm not a socializer, but I do need to be constructive with my free time rather than spend it on sleep and game.

I love videogames, and I don't care what day it is, when Halo 3 comes out, I'm going to be dropping all of my projects and just blasting away...but to my point. I like sleeping and gaming, but I feel I could be doing more constructive things with my time you know? It's time I screwed those games I'm playing for now, clean up my room, clean up my drawing table that mom gave me, and just spend some time alone by myself...in my room...drawing freely without a care in the world.

He he, sorry if I don't seem to have a point to the journal, but I wanted to let everybody know, besides me not knowing what I want to do with my art, that I'm doing pretty fine. If anybody has been keeping tabs with my journal, I'm not as scared about planes as I was before...and that's about it. So anyways, I had at least two routes I whould like to go with my so called art...but I whould like to hear a suggestion from anybody reading this where I should go.

Well that's that, I'm going to call it a night. Before you go, take a look at some of the artists I found on DA okay? ^-^

Thanks for reading, and take care.
[link] This guys name is Karbo, and his game is...naga's. His works are very detailed, and a little organic looking at times. Though be warned, his art isn't for everybody. Some of his pictures contain nudity...and also most of his stuff consists of vore. Which is basicly gulping somebody whole, and sometimes you can even see the victum inside there stomach. This guy does light vore however, so no need to worry about skin being melted off...but it never hurts to take caution though.

This isn't the first time this bugged me...in fact, ever since I had it, it bummed the hell out of me.

Okay, sometimes in my dreams I have two types. One is where they take place in a universe that have diffrent locations and such, except that the daytime is grey and night time it's ranges from pure black to dark greenish black. Those dreams I don't mind...but then I have these other types of dreams. I sometimes, and if I'm paying attention, they can pradict the future. It may sound like bullshit...but I wish I was.

It all started when I was sleeping. I had this one dream where I was taking a shower...but it was somewhere else. Then I came out with my towel, and then I asked this one guy where to put the dirty towel. Afterwards I kept saying my god...it was actually from a gamecube game when I was quoting it XD.

A couple of months later, I heard grim news that my dads mother died. I meet one of my cousens...well to get down to the point, I spent the night with my uncle in the country...and in the morning I found myself asking my uncle...the man I saw in my dream, where to put my towel. Afterwards I was kind of shocked...but amazed about this uncontrolable unknown.

Now that doesn't bother me...this on the other hand does. Me and my mom were planning a trip to the bohamas...I was neutral about it, and didn't mind going with her. But one night, I had this one dream where I was on a plane with my mom...it started to shake, then I looked up front to see this girl in a blue suit saying, "Don't panic don't panic". I was screaming, and I'm not sure what happened afterwards.

So I kept talking about it, nagging to my mother about it, and even cried one night about this dream. They tried to chear me up, and I really appriciated them for doing that, ((Family is great for that moment of sorrow in your life)) but nothing cheared me up. My mom snapped three days before our plane trip, and made me decide whether or not I should go or stay...I decided to go with her, though I still kind of nagged her about it.

So when we finally arrived at the airport, I felt...comfertable. My mom bought me a few magazines to occupy my time, and this one couple actually gave me comfert in the knoledge of airplanes...there actually safer than cars. So I took the plane, flipped through the magz, and before we knew it, we were taking a boat trip with dolphen and stingray petting. The best part was that the boat had House of the dead 3...LOL.

So why am I posting now? I mean I took the plane, and mom said that we won't be taking a plane trip together any time soon, and I know for a fact that planes are safe. Sometimes my dreams take a while to come true, it happens only once, it's sort of coated in a dark setting of our world, and sometimes it hits me hard when I realize it. I'm afraid that the dream may actually come true if I'm not carefull or good with life...in fact I rarly brush my teeth and take baths.

And I don't want my mom to die with my on a plane, I love her, cherish her, and despite us sometimes getting into arguments, I love her company, tender heart and wisdom. It whould hurt me to see her go. And as for me, I want to do great things in my life, I mean I want to tell stories through videogame designing, prove that you don't need plot or character depth to tell a story, and artwork, I may not show it, but I want to experience inprovment through hard work.

I know it sounds a bit funny or histaricle, but please understand. Now I'm not asking that all of DA kiss my ass and make the pain go away, that's not how it works. If your done reading this now, then please tell me about your dreams, fears in those dream and the same experiences that I have. I want to know if I'm not alone in this odd unknown.

Please don't just read this and skip to something else, even if you don't have the same experiences I have, it whould mean a lot to me if you just posted...and took the time out to read this.
So I finnaly went to school today, and it was pretty good. I'm homeschooled if you were wondering. I go to dads house, ((I'm typing this up at my moms house BTW...there divorced, but we've moved on)) and I usually have to deal with my little sister there...but she wasn't as much of a pain as she was the first time I went schooling there.

Anyways, while she still was annoying, she wasn't as bad as she was in...I already said that. Before we started school, we talked about Binary code, ((AKA Machine code)) electricity usage, diffrent types of programing methods, you know geek stuff. ^^ When we actually started school, first thing we did was doing physical ED, that consists of warm ups, and jogging. I was pretty flushed when I jogged, which was only a street long.

After that we review some of our stuff from the last time we were schooled, then after we ate brunch, ((Consists of eggs, bacon and toast)) then we called it quits. So all I did that day was wait for mom to pick me up, sleep in, and now I'm talking to you, the ones that are reading this. Anyways, my dad has a scanner, meaning that I could show you my stuff, if I get the chance to do anything that is.

I just recently found these clubs...there pretty cool.

-Unseen artist is a community where unknown artist get a chance to be seen or herd. [link]

Okay, well I don't really know how to introduce myself here, but I am new. Sorry if I don't have anything new here, but I've been caught up with not only the possabilities of what to do in Deviant art, but I also need to work on my room, and maybe even try to draw a little. I will put up something up for your viewing pleasure and hopefully you'll stick around for my first deviation.

Who am I: Introducing yourself in a new place is sort of hard to do, but fortinantly this isn't my first interactive fourm, so talking bout myself will be a breeze. Well first off let me introduce myself, as you can tell my name is anime-underdog, though my real name is Garin, and I take an intrest in both videogames and art. I was told about this place from one of my friends ((She's known as moon-panther here)) and it sounded like a good place. Though I have reasons why coming here besides looking at pretty art. ^_^

What are my intrests: Well like I said before, my intrests are videogames and art. In videogame wise I'm excellent in First person shooters, though I try to play other genres as well. My most favorite game to play is Halo, either one or two depending on my mood. I also like platforms, and the most brilliant game of all time is Psychonauts, because the puzzles, worlds and art are creative. In art wise I like anime, some select cartoons and weird stuff ((Odd world has some really neat art)) and my favorite anime is FLCL.

So why did you join: Well I take an intrest in art because I admit...I suck at game designing, and I look up to art in videogames more than anything else. So one day I whould like to take up a carrer in either videogame art or just create some mangas or comics, depending on what I do in my drawings. that and why I'm named "anime-underdog" is because I got the idea from Charles Dikkens novels, most of his novels are about the little guy rising to power or glory in the end...and just like them, I myself am the little guy...

Cont: I suck at drawing, my photoshop skills are limited, and frankly...I don't know where to go when it comes to style. Most of my life was wasted on videogames, but now I want to do something, throw down the controller, raise my fist in the air, and say "I'm tired of being a god damn couch potato, I want to make something of myself someday, to make a diffrence, inspire the underdogs everywhere that if you are truly determend and never give up, you will be..." well you get the idea.

Conclusion: Shoot, I wasn't as good as describing myself as I was in other fourms, but point being is that I'm new...to fill this gap of page some more, I'll say this much. I'm a good conversationalist and people person, ((When I swallow my pride that is)) and if you ever feel the need to talk or complain, I'm always online. I will try to have fun drawing and showing them off for you, and hopefully one day...just one day, I'll get to the point where I can hang with the big boys that inspired me so much over the years.

But for right now, I'm on square one...I hope that this journal has enlightened you, and I will update it when ever I can. You'll just have to watch me and view my every move. ^^

When your done reading this, I'll be cleaning up my room, then after that I'll post you a little something.
