It got really cool fx and good direction.

Though I found the apartheid paralell premise and the inhumane treatment of the praun very hard to swallow. It felt forced and unbelievable, too black and white and the writers again tried too hard to establish the "evil humans".

I mean burning babies in broad daylight, evil science experiments and militairy contractors who "love to kill shrimps"... It really broke the mood for me.

Not the most clever scifi film critics praise it for, really.

I now have give approx 28h of lessons for students @ Games Academy Berlin.
It really is a blast to do and also a challenging experience for myself.

Its is planned, that next semester I will teach the second grade and the fourth grade (two classes, yep) for the full semester, giving homework, holding lessons, preparing examines, giving grades and all. I'm very excited.

The combat is fun and fluid, the characters are super nice, the plattforming is challenging and smooth, the weapons are fun to use, level exploration is rewarding, the puzzles are real mindbenders (not just that standard door-locked-find-switch-thing), monster are super cool, bosses are big and spectacular, visuals are fresh, dark and colorful at the same time... Commercials do that all the time.
But then there are great animation movies, with intense storytelling, characters to care about and a good mix of tension and fun.

Pixar's Up was brilliant. It actually was a rather subtle movie with rather down to earth (no pun intended) motifs. No monsters, no robots, no superpowers, no talking cars or giant insects. Still its characterdesign, shot design and storytelling made it a compelling movie.

Of course graphics have improved and such, but regarding fighting system and characters there hasn't been real developement.
This said, I totally dig Tekken as it is and so I'm quite happy to have 40 fighters to brawl with tekken style now. Oh, King I missed you so. ;)

Aaaand, the fighting stick (after a short time of getting used to) is a blast! So much fun!

I just played the rental version and it sucks beyond compare:

- the "arcade mode" is a 5 stage time trial that can be played thru in under 8minutes, thats it.
-there is no other mode to play for single player (except from practice)
-there is no end boss
-there is no story and there are no character endings whatsoever
-there are no character intros either, just one set of three clips to spice the time trial up.
-the animation is NOT smooth or in anyway next gen. You always feel frames missing.
