Last night, I was going to make some eggs for my dinner. I looked into the egg carton and found two cracked eggs. My first thought was "OH SHIT!". I reached in to grab them, but one of the eggs was actually STUCK to the carton, so I had to cut a hole around it.

With the two eggs and the rest of my cooking supplies, I left for the kitchen. While the pan was heating up, I decided to peel off the carton remnants off that one egg. As I did so, part of the shell came off.

When I saw the yolk I'd thought that there was still that thin layer surrounding the inner egg, but then realize.. "oh my god.. it's frozen..."

I took the other egg and attempted to crack it in half. Turns out, that one was frozen too!

I've never had a frozen egg before...

I found out that the leaders are really fascinated about how my roomie and I knew each other since elementary and have so much in common.

If i ever felt any doubts about this school... it's all gone just by meeting with the leaders. They are amazing.

I recommend anyone who havent gone through college orientation to chat up with your orientation leader(s).

aaaandd... yes that's it. I dont feel like retelling the whole day like I did with the past 3 days blog. Tomorrow's the last day of orientation then I'm free for the weekend and school finally starts. I'm actually pretty excited.

My parents came down to visit today. They told me they were going to be here at 10am so we could hang for a while before I had to kick them off. It ended up that they didnt WAKE UP until 10 thus didnt get up here until 11. Within the hour, I gave them a short tour of our room and lounge, then went to a nearby restaurant to order to-go.

At 12 was the day-long project of basically exploring. Spent an hour researching places to go and planning the road trip... we decided on three spots to hit. In the end, we ended up hitting only one spot and just spent a couple hours browsing the place. A CD/music store... that's where we went. Now, I'm not a fan on buying music AT ALL. I tend to get mine in a different fashion that doesn't require stacks of CD's. But at least they had a bookstore down the road.

Yes, I like bookstores more than music stores.

Afterward, we took the BART to a park in SF for dinner to find out that since we were the last group there, all the food were gone. Therefore came back empty stomached.

So now.. sitting in room... typing this up... eating food... mmhm.. I should go buy some games from gamestop. =____="

We made pasta for lunch!!! It was good.
I got my schedule fixed without having to go through the super long portfolio review; I dropped painting and took textiles instead. Did you know that I dont like painting at all? I hate it with a passion... even though I still do it.
Our faculty's awesome, especially the one who changed my schedule around. He gave me an A+ for looking up class schedules beforehand.

Our trip to Goodwill/IKEA was interesting. Though we happened to get stuck in the one bus that got lost... and couldn't find a way into the parking lot of IKEA made for trucks/buses.

Three of our RAs made pancakes for dinner for anyone who wanted any. YUMMY. The super long line was definitely worth it. Though they did doodle on them with food coloring...

I gotta say that I was pretty nervous during the drive up to Oakland, but once I got there, I got pretty excited. The dorm room is pretty nice. The desk is partially magnetic!!! which is awesome. We've got bunk bends and I ended up on the top bunk... I actually like bunk beds, but this one doesnt have railings, so I'm scared of falling off... >.<

The people here are great. The RA's told us that we're encouraged to "explore" (coughdrugsrinkingcough) as long as it's not on campus.

We actually met an elementary friend during the residential meeting. Surprising. Entertaining. Absolutely crazy.

We've actually found a lot of downtime where we just sat in our room doing nothing. Boring... Yeah, I know we should go out and mingle, but my roomie isnt a social type person and I'm not usually my hyper self without someone else with me.

Our suite mates are actually pretty cool, cept for the fact that we got lock out of the bathroom on the first day ^^".

I am going to detest stairs by the end of the year.

I've also found a new love for fabric painting. A couple weeks ago, I bought a yard of fabric (not sure what kind this is..) to test paint on. It turns out that I can paint and blend a lot easier than canvas fabric.

Now I just wanna try out textile paint...

I have completed exactly ONE piece of doodle-art. There has been absolutely NO inspiration for me to do ANY type of drawing since. (hence the rant about not getting any drawing classes..) I've actually planned out a lot of possible pieces in my mind -- one including a giant orange spider..., but for some reason, my hands refuses to do any work. Therefore I have resulted into another idea of taping giant pieces of paper on any available wall in my -extremely messy- cove, dug out all my pencils (I dont know why they were packed away in the first place), and hope that having blank pieces of paper around my room will cause me to doodle chaos.

If you're wondering why I bother to post these random ideas of mine, it's because I'm bored.

I also plan on destroying 90% of my gallery by the time college starts.

My mom still owes me a sewing machine.
Since I want to continue my little tote bag shop, I've decided to ditch the pre-manufactured tote bags and make them myself. Especially since NO STORES sell the tote bags I use anymore. This will result in custom sizes, styles, and LONGER handles. Yes, I do hate how the tote bag doesn't quite go over my shoulder.

But I dont know what fabric to use. I'd thought of using pure canvas fabric since painting on it will just be like painting on canvas, but that's going to cost a lot. I've done a quick browse at JoAnns and it doesnt seem like they have any canva-fabric or anything thick enough to work well with paint. I use acrylic paint, btw, the more expensive kind too.. since they're the only ones that'll stain fabric.

I'm actually thinking of just buying paint made for fabrics (like screen printing paint), but they cost a lot!! D: (and I've got too much paint as is)

I have a LOT of tote bags still!
They are white 9"x11"x2" and looks like [THIS]. And as summer special, they will be $10 per side with however many characters you want, and free shipping. But just so you know, it is hard to fit 10 characters on one side...
I can do almost anything you ask me for... comical, realistic, portrait, illustrative.. etc. Please note that if you ask me to draw certain pairings (-sasusaku-) that I do not 'support' of, I will probably refuse because there are high chances that it wont turn out good anyways..

So I've pretty much been accepted to all the schools I applied to; I'm still waiting on one. Though I dont know where to go. My parents are iffy about me being so far away (like, out of state..), but they're also iffy about the environment the school is located (like San Francisco..). I kinda wanna goto MICA even though it's on the other side of this country. And I finally convinced my parents to CONSIDER it. I guess that's a good thing? But they're still iffy about it.

I've also realized how much I hate acrylic painting compared to oils. Acrylics must love to mock me. They dont listen. =\ Even with the use of mediums.. they dont listen... They either dry too fast, or dont dry fast enough. sigh. I probably should just stick with digital, but for some reason, I feel like sticking with traditional media.

Ah, I've ordered 11"x11" tote bags. (Didn't have enough money for 15"x14" totes.) So hopefully you'll start seeing more tote bag art from me. I love commissions. please.

But my new resolution is to get a damned 4.0 GPA this last semester of high school. Especially since now I dont have to worry about college apps.

My resolution for right now is to actually get a new years drawing done since I dont think I did one last year.. D:

I need to do one more college app and then I'm finally DONE. Of course, waiting for acceptance letters is going to be a real killer cause right now I dont have any confidence in any but one school which is the second furthest school. A real bummer.

Does anyone want to commission for tote bags? Or regular drawings? I'd be happy to take any commissions right now.

Mom's probably going to make me get a job over the summer... but I dont know how hard it'll be to find one with all the unemployments...
