I got a call from my friend a little while ago, and his neighbors father-in-law has a paint and body shop.  He looked at it and says he can fix the damage to the body, wheel and paint, and get it running for $2350.  Well worth having the work done there, and driving it home as opposed to towing it back here (for who knows how much) and then having to get it fixed here, for probably the same or more.

I and mom are both doing well.  Thank you again for all of the support.  It is appreciated more than words can express!

Recent events have encouraged me to take a long hard look at my life, and take stock in the events that brought me to this moment.  It started out as a pity party but I wound up realizing something.  The deciding factor in my present was me.  The choices I took or refused to take that led me up to this day, with this realization, and sharing it with you.  I have heard of people writing their own obituaries, as an exercise in just such an endeavor.  Well I am not going to go that far.  This isn't meant to be a expose, just a release or venting of some things on my mind of late.
