Well, we've done it. Me and ~ole013 finished the thesis and defense. It's even a candidate for best thesis for this year. Biggest point is - we're gonna graduate.

Am I happy? No. Not at all. Ah, yes, we go back to her again. We've made a deal with her for her to pay for all the expenses plus fees for the thesis. And now, she thinks that just because she paid for everything we're even. We were supposed to pass the revisions required by the panel but we - stupid of us - left the paper printing to her. Sure she arrives in school but what - five hours from the effing designated time. All our panel already left so who's supposed to sign the approval sheet? She can't get it into her head that we're not going to graduate until we've passed the hardbound copy! Sheesh.

Does she have any conception how the other students are fairing? My four close friends (who are actually here at home with me and ~ole013 helping them) - who are giving all that they've got - may not make it for the graduation deadline. And what did she ever do? Nada.

My desire to drop her is sooo very large and it's only my virtue that's stopping me from doing it. We made a deal, didn't we? Still though, these are my close friends, she used to be but not anymore. How can I even let her pass while my friends are breaking all their bones just to finish their thesis?

Four laptops, one desktop PC. One wireless network. One picanet. You'd be thinking there won't be much wires anymore but there are still tons scattered over the floor.

Utter chaos outside, by the way. Power lines dangling, reaching the road almost. A few trees uprooted, lots of broken fences. Thank goodness our house is very much intact. Three times yesterday the power went up, but was followed by a 'boom' from the power whatever-you-call that from the house beside us.

Hope tomorrow gets better - but there's still more to come.

I apologize for the runs, by the way. And I shall be doing it until next week. Shame on me.

My brother, so okay not exactly him but his officemate, got to talk to Kevin Garnett (yes, him, the one that plays on NBA) over the phone. He had some problems with his internet connection so he called the CS of *****. Anyway, his officemate called everyone in the vicinity and turned on the speaker phone so everyone could hear.

After a few queries, turned out he got a virus on his PC which was interrupting his DSL connection. Makes me wonder what sites he visits.

And I'm so not enjoying it!

Anyway, funny thing happened today. After ~ole013 came directly to my house from school, we went about and updated the old parser of our spam filter. He decided to feed it a very small amount of data first (just to see if it's running smoothly), so basically that's one text file with the content:

ole jemi kring

The first time kind of worked. Kind of because 'kring' didn't appear in the database. The second try, it didn't work at all. So we debugged the program then we found out the parser kept reading bizaro symbols that weren't really on the text file.

So he deleted the file then made a new one with the content:

jemi ole kring

Ha! The damn thing worked - kind of. 'kring' still didn't appear in the database. We then proceeded to debug the program but no more bizaro symbols this time.

Some minutes later we finally figured out why the bizaro symbols kept on appearing. Utter stupidity on our side of course.

What makes this so funny is it portrays our group. ~ole013 messes up the codes most of the time so he usually redos everything. I can usually find the reasons why he messed up in the first place. And the other one, well, she's exactly that. She's not there at all. Oh, wait, let me revise that - she's only there if she needs to suck up to the - ehem - intended. Har!

~ole013 drank one glass last night. Then I drank a glass this morning - and then oh, noes! I didn't know that was my last bottle of soy milk. I'm too lazy to go to the mall to buy one (make that two). I hope my mom will go to the mall sooner instead of this weekend.

Anyhow, I've updated my Apophysis Postworking Tutorial to include a new section about fractal collages. Again, nothing big, just a small tip.

I apologize for the big file size, it seems that dA doesn't have the option to edit the deviation completely. I was going to upload a preview image then you can just download the compressed image, however, like I've already said, they don't allow those kind of editing.


On another note, I made a new account for my literary works. I figured that most of my watchers didn't watch me for that so I decided to create a separate one for it.
