I'm so smitten with this film.  
It had all the wonderous fantasy elements, and goofy humor
of a modern day Princess Bride, with a little bit more epic thrown in the mix.

I went in expecting crap, so that may be why I was so blown away,
but Gaiman does it again with really fascinating characters, and interesting
story archs!  I'm gonna have to read the book now! YAY!  I love Gaiman books.

In other news.  I start teaching pretty soon, and I'm pretty excited about that.
I've never had to put together a syllabus before... so yeah.

I went to comicon from Thursday through Satday.
It was a bloody blast.  I had no idea how big, and how fun it would actually be!

Something's always bugged me about the big bang. It's seemed counter intuitive to science in the back of my mind for some time. I can't disagree that the universe is expanding. The proof is in the pudding. But the idea of an explosion from no where, just never sat well.

My piercings are coming along nicely.  I'm a little fleshier now around the actual holes themselves, but I wouldn't call them full on blow outs, just that sort of slight tug of skin that happens when you pull out from inside of someone, but it kinda stays in that position.  Insides are pinkish and not quite perfectly healed yet, I'd say next week sometime.

Ordered my new jewelry that I went through all this trouble for, should be here soon!  Then I'll do another quick Indigent photoshoot.

It's interesting.  I go through these spells of mad euphoria.  Moments of extreme happiness and feelings of contentment.  A sort of acceptance of everything that seems to encompass my lack of greatness, my solitude, even my own embarrassing past.  It rises to the point of extraordinary happiness, where every breath and glance at anything feels like the most sacred thing.  Overwhelming.

Six weird things, or habits I have:

1.  I have made such an effort to be non-judgemental towards abnormal behavior, I can now eat an interesting brunch with a serial killer, and not be phased.  (So long as I'm not on the menu)

2.  I like to smoke my pipe, or some cloves and sip a few fingers of whiskey while I write.  Cuz that's the way it should be dammit!
