I've decided to try and be a bit more active on Deviantart C: I'm sorry I've not been checking it as often as I used to

This past year has been super busy, I've taken exams, finished exams, applied to university, rejected from university, applied again, completed about seven weeks of work experience in the period between September and November, etc etc

I'm watching episode 4 right now and I respect the writers so much for how they handle Korra's character. Her response to Tarlock's request was relateable and believeable but isn't actually something I've seen a great deal in anime/movies/whatever - she's genuinely frightened and that's why she didn't join the battle, not because of her pride/morality/loyalty to Tenzin (which would still work with her character and the flow of the show, but seems less adventurous in terms of character development)

Actually I was curious about people's opinion on the anti-piracy laws and Wikipedia blacking out and stuff. Gah, florence is like the most beautiful city in the WORLD, I swear, it was just gorgeous and I want to live there. Or maybe Siena, because that was just as gorgeous and so ADORABLE. <3 <3

I'm relieved it only rained once, and only when we were on (okay, and waiting for) the coach to Siena, so we were very lucky with the weather. Because someone suggested to me that I wear all purple on Monday, so I did. Only I didn't see him that day so I couldn't show him. So I wore all purple on Tuesday and proved to him that I was wearing all purple, right down to my purple-tiger-velvet-shoes :heart:

And then I got home and looked in my drawers and realised that, actually, I have a hell of a lot of purple clothes. So I wore purple for the rest of the week.

And today I log on and find out that it's a good thing and I'm honouring something wonderful without even knowing it :meow:

I went to Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday and Monday because my dad lives there, and it was as epic as always. I loved it so much

I did miss the beginning but I still got it, mostly. It was quite confusing but SO FUCKING GOOD. I loved all the characters which is rare for me. The only thing is that I also saw Shutter Island and I think Leo DiCaprio played too similar a role in that but whatever, he was awesome in Inception.

This is probably not allowed, but I think Inception was better than the Matrix. Srsly. Similar idea, better plot and better presented. :thumbsup:

I got to see a cat get its leg amputated, which was interesting. Especially since halfway through the vet struck up a conversation with the nurse about the World Cup game, while sawing through a cat's femur :| I also saw them take a tumour the size of a small football from a dog, fo'rlz.

Okay, basically, my father managed to get tickets to Damon Albarn's opera, Monkey Journey to the West. For those of you who don't know, it's an ancient Chinese fairytale about a monkey king who has to escort a holy buddhist monk to India. Think about it. They all wear a lot of armour over their clothes. Must be smelly. And they all do a lot of physical activity. All right, except Stork.

This raises another issue. If Stork never does as much physical stuff as the others (e.g. heroically battling Dark Ace) then how come he's so skinny? As in, almost anorexic compared to the rest of them. Banging things with a spanner hardly burns calories.

Yet another question - if Finn's bike gets sliced in half and falls out of the sky, how the hell do they recover and repair it?
