Dennis and I are moving from WA to Norfolk, VA next June. I'll probably end up going to school there and finishing my degree. Finally.

Been working on my sister's Marilyn Monroe painting (still, I know) and knitting some things. Also I have another piece of driftwood to paint for a coworker, but that's for later.

I don't think anyone really reads this anymore but I've decided to post this, just in case.

Anyway, no new drawings or paintings--I'm way too busy trying to work as many hours as I can to save up some money and getting homework done to finish this semester. I'm very worried about my math class (as usual) and if I didn't pass my 2nd exam (I get to see my results tomorrow), I probably won't graduate this semester. I'm trying to not give up on the whole school thing.

I'm going to Washington State in January with my friend Dennis and staying for a little over a week. Very very excited for that. I might just end up moving out there. Why not? This town doesn't do it for me anymore (wait--it never did). I never felt like I belonged here, anyway. I'm just hoping wherever I go, I will feel like I belong. Who knows. All I know is that I'm getting a little preview of what it would be like to live out there, so I'm fricken pumped.

Haven't gotten my golf course landscape painting back from my professor yet. I'll have to try and do that tomorrow or Monday.

And what's worse is that a classmate of mine recieved recognition for a logo he created (which I don't think anyone was informed of the contest), which makes me bummed. Oh well. I just want the documentation and my money!! Wish me luck.

Anyway, I didn't win any awards. Very disappointing. Yet I have to try to remind myself that there may be bias in such. Whatever. Maybe I should just give up. I honestly don't think I'm a good enough painter.

Other than that, I have to finish one painting that's about 3/4ths done.

Just got assigned another painting about a "belief". Can do a self-portrait, painting of someone, or something like that. I would like to paint someone but I think I might just have to do a self-portrait. This should be interesting.

Side note rant:
I can't stand this girl in my class. She's so ''high class'' and she wears heels, HEELS to painting, along with skirts and nice clothes. Sticking her nose up in the air just because she's visiting/or maybe going to New York for art. She always looks at me like I'm a bug. Bitch. Well...the last part I'm jealous of, I would love to go to New York. Also, there's this guy in my class that gets smoke blown up his ass every time he shows his work--nothing helpful/critical critique, just ''holy shit you beat all of us!". Ok, ok, he IS good but hello, treat him the same. He's not a god. Ha. I'm also jealous of him.

Sometimes I think I should just give up. Seriously. It's sad.

I can't wait until this semester is over.

I have 2 more artist style mimic paintings to do by the end of semester (so I can pass), as well as the panda one that is due on Monday.

And here I'm not going to an art school, it's just a UW system college. He's treating the classes as if they were 'art school', which is fine in my case, but on the other hand it's quite annoying because not everyone in the class is an art major. He assigns TONS of projects to do and other people have other classes they need to focus on as well.

Therefore, my math class......um, I should just drop. Damn.

Whatever. I'll post more later.

stretch canvas over frame, gesso, and opaque layer (need to catch up with everyone)
