Well i've been having a good think about which story i'd like to work on and i chose my Norinori Dreams story.

This story is set far into the future - in a world where the human mind has evolved so much that there now exists people known as 'Dreamers'. These are people with a psychic potential that allows them to create objects known as 'Figments'.

The Figment is the result of the Dreamer's astounding imagination which is capable of breaking the laws of reality with just a thought. In return for these powers the Dreamer's body is radically changed to display to the world their awakened powers. Some people lose their humanity entirely...

Of course every Dreamer is different, and it's likely that many of them will use their powers for criminal activity. One such target is ' Phase Island ' - a prosperous artificial landmass built in the Atlantic ocean. Relatively new, it has yet to succumb to the threat of major crime, so many Dreamers flock there seeking a fortune - be it legally gained or otherwise.

To combat this there is a special organisation set up on the island. An experimental group dedicated to solving and preventing crimes that are commited by Dreamers, by using Dreamers as it's agents.

This organisation is known as 'Evigilo' and the story is mainly focused on their attempts to combat foes that can literally make anything happen.

Keep an eye out for sketches and character backgrounds coming soon

Well, i don't know if it's new or not as i'm a bit lousy at noticing things, but at any rate this ability to split my deviations into groups is excellent for a deviant like me who has done hundreds of pictures as well as all manner of different stories to put them in (which isn't really a good thing - curse my poor attention span )

But at any rate i have indeed put the pics into lovely little folders that are shown downthe left side of my gallery :3 Upon completing this i noticed two things :-

1) I have been getting a bit better at drawing I mean, there are about 170 or so drawings of mine here. In truth before i did any of these there's about 170 more drawings (and a tonneload of character info) that never see the light of day now 'cos they are really no good. The difference between my artwork now and my artwork then is quite significant and i hope that in a few years time i can say that about my artwork then and my artwork now

2) I really, Really, REALLY need to pick a story and stick to it!!! Seriously. I mean, i like the story ideas i've come up with but i alway keep jumping between them, ultimately accomplishing nothing.

Over the next few days i'm gonna look over all my story ideas and pick one that i'm going to work hard to really build upon. That doesn't mean that the others won't be seen to, it just means that there is then a story project that i can call my 'main' one

If you like the look of any particular one of my story ideas please tell me as i want to work on one that's interesting for others as well as me.

Rock on! :3

So, what have i been working on? Well i haven't done much drawing (sketching yes but not much else) but i have been racking my brains re-writing the plot for my GoFight! story which is shocking me because i really am sticking to it

So here's some of the new story background in a nutshell :-

The supreme deity known as 'Za' created a great world using his great power, but he could not populate it himself. He would not allow just anyone to live there, however, he would only let the greatest race live there. Scouring the universe he found two potential candidates - the 'Furopons' (a strong warrior race) and the 'Thaumuriants' (an intelligent magical race).

Za gave the two races temporary residence on the world and declared that they would fight a great war (of body versus mind) to determine who would get to stay on the world. And so a great war was fought but, unfortunately, there was no decisive victor and both sides agreed to a truce to allow for mutual rebuilding.

Once both sides were capable of war again they clashed in a second great war - again, neither side could claim victory. This same result was repeated two more times with both nations equally crippled.

Not only that, but the world could no longer regenerate the damage caused by the many battles. Whole areas of the world had been reduced to wasteland and the populations on both sides had been greatly reduced. Also, by now the nations had deemed the wars pointless and had broken off into seperate domains in which to try and scrape a living. There was a fragile peace of sorts.

Za was furious, for it was the very essence of conflict and malice that he required for sustenance, and the world was no longer supplying it. Za decided that it was time to visit his precious world.

This is simply a macrocosmic background for the real story which follows a group of characters who are just trying to survive in this dying relic of a world whilst the great god Za tries to bring about the fifth great war. More story will be posted with new character sketches and so-forth.

Also the polls i do will allow for you to influence the antagonists and other characters in the story and the first one i'm setting up now will be used to design ninja characters (or samurai if you're that way inclined )

GoFight! is a quirky story about battles and fighting .

It is set on an unnamed world being contested over by 4 gods and their respective races. The gods represent the apparent '4 elements of battle' and each wants the world for their own. The gods and races are:-

Dragoon Yu - An immensely tough dragon/man hybrid who presides over the element of "Martial Arts". He is god to the 'Furopeans' - a race of immensely tough martial artists (naturally).

King Gerald - Rumoured to be the Grim Reaper, this god presides over the element of "Magic". He is god to the 'Thaumuriants' - a race of magical people with a major class divide.

K'sh - A massive supercomputer with souls powering it's internal systems. It presides over the element of "Technology". It is god to the 'Greeches' - a race of leech-like people that live in mechanical bodies.

The Lady - An enigma that presides over the element of "Love". She is goddess to the 'Zelves' - elfin people who fly into fits of psychotic rage.

So these deities use their respective races to try and defeat all the other races, on the battlefield. Most of the citizens of each race would gladly sacrifice their lives for the cause, but some refuse to.

One such person is 'Gregory' - a young Thaumuriant on the run for refusing to fight in the war (oh, and technically assaulting the kingdom's high priest). His lengthy escape leads him to cross pathes with 'Karate' - a young, and recently deceased, Furopean.

Using necromancy, Gregory brings Karate back to life as a zombie, with the plan being to use a skillful warrior as a bodyguard. It works in that Karate is indeed skilled, but unfortunately Karate is quite naive, clumsy, and generally dumb, so sometimes he actually ends up getting them into trouble before being able to get them out of it.

I won't say much more now but the general story follows Gregory trying to stay in one piece in a world of massive battles and epic duels, all the while unwittingly collecting an ever-growing roster of weirdos trying to kill him and Karate.

Expect sketches and more info over time. Also i'd like the characters of this to be more influenced by what other people think would be cool or funny so the polls i do will relate to designs of the said weirdos trying to kill the main characters so check often if you want to influence some character designs.

This story is set on Earth in the year 6600 and it is a very different place than now.....

Adjacent to reality is a dimension of infinite space known as 'Nothing'. Here is where the spirits of inanimate objects go when they are destroyed or lost. Certain humans have souls that resonate with the souls of the objects, and by using 'super-energy' they can summon these objects back into reality and use them. People who can do this are known as 'Harbringers' and (depending on the item they can summon) they are in high demand by everyone.

The story is set in a city known as 'Wicked City'. In fact, it is actually a fief owned by the villainous 'Baron von Botunheim' who is rumoured to be scouting Harbringers for some sort of coup..... Anyway, the protagonist is 'Shelly Trifle' - a girl with a hidden power.....

One night she unwittingly opens a portal to Nothing and releases 'Derring Facto', a mysterious but powerful being. From there, her own powers start to emerge and she finds that she is suddenly the target of every supervillain around and that her life will never be normal again.

This story will be an action-packed, not-that-serious saga with such delights as ninjas, wizards, hitmen, cowboys, bishounen, robots, ghosts, teddy bears, monarchs, angels, samurai, mad doctors, tonnes of weaponry, and over-the-top super special techniques.

Expect sketches and more plot to be submitted soon :3

Insignia of Chaos is what will be the first canonical story set on the world of Pangaia. It will be an action/adventure with serious undertones but a generally light-hearted 'feel' to it.

The story follows Bombastus von Hohenheim, a young goethenheim from a very influential family in the world of magic. Unfortunately, his only ability with magic seems to be that he can blow things up unintentionally.

Taunted by the community, Bombastus runs away from home to hone his magical skills in the mountains. After a few days it is apparent that this is a futile exercise so Bombastus heads for home. On the way, however, a strong wind catches him off-balance and throws him off the mountain.

As he is falling a strange light glows around him and he finds himself falling into a mysterious forest. Though injured by the trees, his life is saved and he explores this strange new place. Whilst exploring he is attacked by some sort of monster but is saved by an eccentric young cannene named "Flamel".

It turns out that the nations of Pangaia long ago sealed themselves off from each other using dimensional portals. Somehow Bombastus activated a portal connecting his homeland to that of Flamel and has no means of getting back unless he can find and activate a portal that leads back home.

By a stroke of bad luck, very few portals still exist in the world and the places they lead to are unknown, so Bombastus has only one choice- explore the world and find the right portal by a process of elimination. Flamel decides to accompany Bombastus because he can sense the power within him (and because he's got "nothing better to do") so they set off for the portals.

They travel from nation to nation, meeting new people and gaining new powers. Unbeknownst to them is the fact that an underground organisation known as Ordinatio is planning a new world order of godly proportions, especially so because the leader of Ordinatio is a highly skilled transmuter who destiny predicts will be the next god of Pangaia.

Will Bombastus become the great transmuter he has dreamed of being? Will Ordinatio truly reign supreme? Will Pangaia ever be the same again? Only time will tell..........

I suppose before i explain individual story projects i should give a bit of background on them. I have about 5 different projects that share in common the setting of a fictional world known as Pangaia. This is a world shaped like a flat disc (yes like Terry Pratchett's Discworld ) that is populated by a number of magical races. The concept behind these races is:-

"what if it wasn't apes that got to evolve into bipedial sentients?"

So here is a brief rundown of the 15 races that populate this world:-

1- The Goethenheim - germanic 18th century people who evolved from goats, they are one of the most magical races on Pangaia
2- The Cannene - western european georgian-period people who evolved from dogs, they are one of the largest and most powerful nations
3- The Nekoningen - edo-period people who evolved from cats, they are naturally deadly and mercenary in their ways
4- The Uluru-Kuri - australian aborigine-styled people who are born from the very living rock of their nation. They are very peaceful.
5- The Drasilkin - Rodentine people who live far up in the clouds and have a strong sense of honour.
6- The Lanians - Three Kingdoms-period chinese styled people who evolved from creatures of the water.
7- The Caramellodetto - A Renaissance italy-styled people who have been cursed by having their bodies turned into a candy-like substance. They try to cope in different ways.
8- The Ivivo Bambole - Toy people created by the Caramellodetto, they never grow up and live forever as children.
9- The Cybugs - 1980's American-styled insect people who live in a futuristic nation where cybernetic implants are the norm
10 - The Saurians - Greco-roman people who evolved from reptiles, they are one of the oldest races on Pangaia
11- The Gazaa - Medieval middle-eastern people who evolved from birds. Their land is rich in many resources.
12- The Undying - Other races that die can sometimes be reborn as 'monsters' in this eastern-european themed nation.
13- The Aeons - A himalayan themed nation which is unique in that people do not get born into the race but rather, people from other races come to become an Aeon. They have remarkable abilities when it comes to healing and prolonging life.
14- The Celestials - Angelic people who live on the moon of Pangaia, they try to regulate the world beneath them.
15- The Oblivions - Demonic people who live on the underside of Pangaia. They are not all evil, but they certainly have few morals.

Well that is the basic rundown. I should have sketches of characters from each of these races done soon, as these will be characters for my first story - "Insignia of Chaos" (working title)
