Getting my knee cap replaced in a couple of weeks. I'm 2 years overdue to get fixed, so I'm going to get it done this summer.

I've had a few job interviews, most recent one at Cox in the mall. Hopefully I will get it, pays fairly well and I have to pay for my own tuition this year, so.

I'm now just waiting for my fiancee to get home from work so we can go to bed.

I was nearly killed when I ended it with my fiancee on April 18. After 4 months of agonizing abuse at her hands, I gathered up the nerve to end it with her. She went ballistic and stabbed me twice. Once in the right side from behind as I went to walk out of the room, missed all major nerves, blood vessals and such, but most importantly it missed my liver. I fainted, woke up, kicked her away from me, got up. She got me again in the shoulder and I proceeded to break her right arm in 4 places and her eye socket. The results were some 80 stitches, 15 in my shoulder and 65 in my side.

2 good things came from that incident. I am free of her ad I found out who my real friends are. The night of the incident 1 friend actually thought I should let her do a story on it to "Help launch her career". Another offered to listen and help, then when I told her everything she gave no help infact she gave no response. Other friends listened to me and gave me support that I needed to get through it and I probably owe them my life. To the ones who shunned me I say this to you: I was there for you, I lost sleep with you and I cried with you. Where were you when I needed it?

Then in June, more specifically June 25 I met Rachel, through one of my friends that was there for me. We dated for 6 months and as of December 25 we were engaged. I proposed to her and gave her a white gold thin banded sapphire solitaire as the engagement ring.

Now, I'm happy.

So.... for this card Danielle and I agreed to meet at 135 for the bout.

I get an email yesterday from the promoter telling me that she can't make weight.
She's sitting at 145 right now, she can make it to 143.

Ok, this annoys me. We agreed to 135, why agree to a fight at a weight you apparently cannot make?

CASK allows for a weight spread of 6.6 lbs between fighters. So she'll be coming into the fight 6.6 lbs heavier than I will.

I don't like this.

So tomorrow I'm going to table this to my manager and to the promoter:

If she makes 141, no higher, and I make 137, I will fight her.

Right now I'm sitting at the top of Lightweight (131) and I have to make it to the top of light welterweight (137) by April 12.

So she has to lose 4 and I have to gain 6..... Sounds fair to me.

It's the end of the semester and I am good and damn happy about it. All the busy work assignments are done with. I only have two exams. I've finished writing all my take home exams now what's left is just the actual exams. I have one Saturday at 2pm then another on Monday at 9am then I am done until January 3 2008.

I head to Montreal the weekend of the 15th for my second Karate Tournament.... I'm seeded first, top ranked and expected to take it with the same dominance that I showed in Vancouver. I'm totally feeling it. Should be good.... I might retire from Competitive Karate after this tournament, not sure. I've been given some rather Oympic offers lately so anything could happen really.

I took the NB title after I came back from Vancouver. Very dominant win, the tournament ended up being an outweight tournament as the majority of the competitors pulled out once they heard I was fighting in it. Anyway, in the final it came down to me and this other girl from....who knows.... she was atleast 170-180 lbs, I'm 135lbs tops and I thought I was in for a tough go. But this girl had zero power and I destroyed her. Busted her face all up, she has to get it put back together and all that. They almost stripped me of the title until she admitted to coming into the tournament with a facial injury so they couldn't touch me.

Anyway, so I spoke of a possible match here in Fredericton in Febuary, well that isn't happening. The PSO (Provincial Sports Organization) is fucking us around and dragging their heels getting Kickboxing recognized as a sport. I'm not exactly thrilled fighting under CASK, they have this ridiculous 8-count rule. If your head snaps back past 45 degrees after a blow you are given a standing 8-count, two of those in a round and your fight is lost. Even if you're fine the ref is ordered by the table to administer the 8-count. This is also happening in title matches and there is no way in hell that should be done unless the fighter is truly hurt by the shot.

I'm looking at a fight in PEI in April, undercard my first fight with CASK. Goody. We're still working on getting NB to recognize Kickboxing.... should be sometime this year. I want to fight on my home turf.

Not much else to say.... except I stopped a third degree black belt with a single punch several weeks ago. This 17 yr old brat kept begging to spar me, and finally I said yes. She geared up, got into the ring with me, the coach said go, I looked at her asked if she was ready, she said yes as she put her hands up. I waited a few seconds and lobbed a jab at her. Caught her square in the nose, she left the room. This has hence been named "The Legend of the Jab", wow, one punch and I get my own legend. Apparently she had said to the coach that if him and her ever sparred he wouldn't get past her lead leg to land a jab. Well pumpkin, I got past your lead leg. The coach pegged me as a favorite now. Pretty cool. OH! She has also gone around the TaeKwonDoe classes saying it was a cheap shot and all that nonsense. I'm tempted to go into TKD one night and tell her to put up or shut up. She hasn't been back to kickboxing since.

I find this hilarious.

- I think Gorax and I will be starting to instruct kickboxing out in Rusagonis within the next couple of weeks. Should be pretty cool, be the first time in awhile that I've instructed.

- I got my black belt in Karate about a month ago now. Pretty pumped about that.

- My Toe is healing pretty well, it's rather crooked now but hey it's a toe.

- I may have a fight in Febuary here in Fredericton. I am pumped about that. I'm getting a bunch of friends to come if it happens. Should be a great bunch of fights.

- I need to get new foot gear for kickboxing now that I think of it.

- I was sick, very sick there for a month. I'm fine now.

- Got my wii back, it was gone for a week. I missed it deeply.

- One of my cousins died.

- I busted a guys arm outside of a bar downtown about 3 weeks ago.

- Named President of the STU Young Liberal Association. During a possible election year.

- Busted my toe on a front kick last week. I should have my black belt and my competitive status taken away for it.

- Another guy I know died on Monday.

- School started up again, nothing spectacular.

- Got new boxing gloves. I love them.

- I have a tournament and a fight coming up in the next 6 weeks.

- A few demos at schools in the city coming up.

- I may start instructing kickboxing out in the middle of no where for MMAA with my sparring and training partner.

- Did a Kickboxing demo at an old folks home, don't know why, just did it. Went fine.

- Decided against doing an intersession course in favor of doing a summer session course, which is going well.

- Did another kickboxing demo on Canada Day downtown on the Green, did it while hungover, went very well. Master Murray got me to do my first board break in years infront of 300+ people. Broke the board with no technique, just power.

- I think I'm going to trade in my ps2 and all the games so I can get a wii.

- my uncle is coming in from Edmonton next month, should be fun.

- I had shoulder surgery two weeks ago to reconnect my biceps tendon and shrink the capsules in my joint. GREAT medication. Morphine, don't remember the weekend after the surgery.

- I'm starting to amp up training for my fight in Sydney Nova Scotia. Booyah.

- School starting up again in a couple months, looks like a good year.

Human Rights, I am completely and utterly passionate about it. I just cannot explain it. Earlier today at Kickboxing I read the entire Human Rights text book which is 440 pages in about an hour. And I can remember everything that I read. I just love it that much.

I've now decided against a Political Science Honors in favor of a Double major in Human Rights and Political Science with a minor in Sociology. With the course cross over I could do it with ease and have room for electives. Then after my BA with the major in Human Rights I could go to one of many great law schools and obtain a Law Degree in Human Rights law. Which would enable me to work for and with institutions such as the UN, Interpol, Amnesty International and etc.

One of these Universitys I speak of is the United Nations University of Peace in Costa Rica. Along with a host of others around the world.

But if I do this I more than likely won't get much in the way of monetary gain. But the way I see it I would be working to imporve the quality of life for a vast number of people on the planet.

I think I can live with that.

A Life lived in the defense of something worth defending is a life worth living.

Post Concussion Syndrome + Sleep Apnea + Stress = Me No Sleeping

Ya know when you can't sleep and you're lying there trying to sleep and you can hear that little voice in your head just buzzing away about inane drivle?

I passed that point about 4 days ago.

Now random little tidbits of information start poping into my head about things I really don't need to know nor remember.

While lying in bed you do not need to know that there are some 10,412 paint thingies on your cieling. Or that if you go without sleep for several days you can actually hear yourself going insane.

so yeah, that group presentation I had to do a few weeks back went well. Got 83 on it.

Now for these blasted exams.....I actually have one today in less than 11 hours and I am yet to sleep.

I also have a big International Relations paper due the same day so I had to set a deadline for when everything has to be in so I can compile it into our powerpoint presentation. The other two members of my group have been amazing, their stuff is in and compiled or in the process of being compiled, so no complaints there.

But the fourth member of the group decides to fight me on everything. And everyone knows how much I just love that. She's telling me I said other days for stuff to be in, that I set different dates for the meetings and basically said no to my deadline. So I got one of the other members of the group to look into the stuff the annoying one was to look into in the highly likely event that we have to do everything and save her ass.

What I want to know is...

WHY DOES EVERYONE FIGHT ME ON EVERYTHING.... EVEN THOUGH I AM ALWAYS RIGHT!?

This is the fifth time this year that I've had it. I'm on asthma medication for my asthma (there's a stretch) and it is the same stuff you get for bronchitis now one would assume that since I have the stuff for bronchitis that I wouldn't get it.

But alas this is not the case.

So I am Annoyed and sick.

Speaking of annoying, I have been ousted from the STU Liberals because I am not a drinker.... But whatever I'm tired of High School Styled Politics.

I got my new gear, had to send back the shin guards because they were ment for someone much taller than I am. But overall I like my gear, it's pretty sweet.

I've been considering getting into HapKiDo, different martial art... It's on the same nights as kickboxing, it's all about joint manipulation and pressure points. Also been considering trying Judo but I probably do have time for that.

Anyway, I must get to reading I have a midterm next week and I have to catch up on my readings.

Well, normal classes are done and so are my exams.

My marks are starting to come in I'm looking at a B- for an average for first year....not bad but not as good as it could've been. Damned C- in Arch first semester brought it way down and I'm pissed off at that.

I start my intersession class on May first. 24 days of Canadian political science weeeeeeeeeeee, it's stuff I know already. Should get like an A in the class.

Now down to the fun stuff:

My nose is fractured and I have a blackeye (which is starting to fade ever so slowly). It was a total sucker punch during a very heated and explosive argument. She who shalt not be named did it to me.

I had turned around to answer a friend and when I turned back, BAM! the next thing I knew I was down, my nose was bleeding like mad and I was madder than hell. She is fdamn lucky some people held me back or I would've wrecked her.

I got an industrial on March 28th, it didn't hurt all that much. Loooks sweet too. It's a bitch if I sleep on it though.

Gladly this is my only class today and it's done at 12:50

I swear next year I'm going to try to get all my classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I can take Tuesday and Thursday off......I hate having to get up and come to campus for only one class.

Seriously...My prof goes on and on for 10-20 minutes per slide of notes. It takes me all of two minutes to copy the notes down so I have anywhere from 8-18 minutes to do anything else.

This class is like grade 10 and 11 history classes combined into one single class....

Did I know this? No. Was I pleased? No.

After I voiced my concerns and the fact that I was elected as Director of Communications and not Organization. He dismissed me, the chalked the fact that I did not get the minutes to the previous meeting due to an email problem on my part. Oddly enough though the girl who was Organization is now Communications and in charge of sending these emails.

After the dismissal he proceeds to say:

"in the mean time i would ask you to read the consitution and check out your new duties i believe you are better suited for these new ones seeing that you quite the people person as well as creative"

At this point I got mad. I waited about an hour to cool down so I wouldn't tell him to go eff himself behind the SUB or whatever.

After that hour I asked him if he made the decision to switch my job or if it was decided by a vote with the rest of the exec. Guess what? He made the decision.

It's been about 6 weeks since I got my wisdom teeth yanked and the tip of my tongue is still numb, I'm starting to get pissed off with it. But I guess that's what happens when you get about 16 needles of freezing jabbed into your mouth and then you bite your tongue.

Oh, get this. I have perfect vision both near and far. The nerves and blood vessals in my eyes are in perfect health, but guess what. I need and got glasses. They're basically for reading/studying and the computer. Hopefully this will end my damn migraines.
