First the good news: after about half a year of infrequent playing, I've finished the 20th Anniversary Edition of the first Final Fantasy! Bloody 20,000HP Chaos... anyway, to celebrate, I have started playing Final Fantasy IX. After an uncertain start I think I may be getting the hang of it.

Now the bad news: after almost exactly 1 year, my laptop's power adapter has failed. Whenever it's plugged in now it gives off a beeping noise and doesn't power my computer.
