Dear Lord, my computer is on the fritz, I seriously need to get a harddrive and move some of this work off. It's running like a slug... :/ I hope to get one before the new year... Otherwise I'm on hold as far as work goes. I draw a line and it takes ages. Don't let me open photoshop, it will lag for days. I am happy with where everything is going though. I've been using SAI a lot more and it's less labor intense on the HD :> For commissioners, I'm kinda embarrassed to show my progress But because you guys have to wait so long I thought I'd throw in a quick two tone sketch as a bonus after I get things running again I am very grateful that people commissioned me and I seriously feel like shit that this has happened. Not much else to say I guess as far as personal life really, except I've been kinda depressed, and that really slows me down... Makes me feel kinda distant too... It's kinda hard to find a reason to want to get up in the morning you know?

I should be done commissions near the end of this week! If I get more private time :I let's hope... because that's what I'm aiming for! I'll continue to update the status of commissions as I progress through them.

I'm sorry I'm so damn slow.

These are pretty much single character pinups, 3/4 or fullbody (I want to finish these within a good timeframe)

$15- Pencil sketch (tight pencil work with some light shading)

$20- line art (completely digital and clean!)

$30- simple cell shade

I feel so proud ;3; Seriously, I haven't felt this accomplished in a long time!

My boyfriend and I will be at Anime USA this year, please look for us in the AA!

I will have prints of my valentines picture, washu and yomako, etc... I'm on a budget and I printed them shits from home, they turned out very nice so I'm excited. Also I will be doing sketch commissions. probably only like 2 since I'm slow

But yeah, I look forward to seeing other artists there, and friends I often only see at conventions I can't wait! I'm excited about the maid cafe too and being back in Virginia. I don't live close anymore so it'll be an hour drive back and forth from MD :/ It's cool though!

So yeah, still need to pack my things and move. If I don't find a new place in DC I may end up moving back with my mom which is not good. Not only will I feel like a burden, but she's like in the middle of nowhere in a two bedroom condo. Not to mention both my sisters reside there as well. And since my sister decided to move back home from college first she sorta usurped the available room when my youngest sis is at her dads. So yeah, NOT a good idea.

Anywho, I'm going to draw a bit and hopefully get my mojo back... I think I'm going to start with the basics again because I still have trouble thinking up poses.

As for commissions I don't mind doing them but lately I've been stuck on one in particular x.x I have a hard time making characters interact with each other... So I think I'm going to stick with single character pin ups for now. No backgrounds, if that interests you definately send me a note and we'll talk. If I owe you, I'll contact you right now! This is only till the first! He is a dear friend and I think he needs the money very badly.


This christmas was awesome. Met up with =UponThouFairCat and got gifts and such and ;~; it was all just so nice. I don't even know what else to say cause I was honestly speechless! Driving back to baltimore we got lost like once but once we got back on track is was all good. It was just so much good times and good food, seriously an overwhelming amount of food. We had two dinners. One at my grandmas, another at my moms. And there was also breakfast. Played some rockband with him and siblings. We were all tired the entire day. It's amazing we stayed up till about 3 still watching tv with my sis and having horrible pie (that I baked) and icecream. I just wish my mom didn't have to work that day. But ya gotta make that money, ya know?

How'd everyone elses go?! Do tell.

Hope everyone is doing well! I know I sure as hell am. I don't have to draw anymore for school until I graduate.

Digitally sketched in a simple pose. A pinup!

Otherwise, I gotta say, Christmas is my favorite holiday, besides Halloween cause I love candy. I personally love gift giving, and the joy that comes with it. With my family we're very laid back and really don't know what to give each other so it's always a surprise. I really don't know what I want, roller skates are always nice but being in the DC metro area I'd likely get hit by a bus in the process so that's a no go. But yes, I'm really ecstatic about these few coming months. I can concentrate more on my art and art I'm being paid for XD haha. It really is a weight off my shoulders. All that's left is art history and portfolio presentation. So relieved.

So yes, I haven't forgotten about anyone, and I want to say thanks to any and everyone who's watched me or commented on my pictures in the past few weeks or even months! I'm not on DA much anymore if not to browse. That and OH, if you add me to msn, PLEASE tell me who you are ahead of time. I ignore everyone requests of those I don't know because I don't talk often and I like to be reached by other methods. But anyhow, I'm still without internet at home and lol without a laptop now.

I'm kinda excited. I'm looking forward to an illustration job. So if anything I'm seriously hoping I have a back up of some work I can use to show what I can do. :/ The timing of this is all so very sudden... I'm pretty sure my files are fine though on my hard drive.

MIDTERMS ARE ALMOST OVER!

And Otakon was pretty fun, I got to sit with friends! Also yes the walmarting (which I thought was more like starbucks) was quite amusing. But more so awkward to walk past. Let's just say I had to look in the other direction as I did so.

I'm extremely gullible so if one of those girls gave me a look to come over I probably would've. Heck, if a McDonalds clerk asked me if I wanted a large on my value meal I'd say "Sure! Since you asked!". Don't even get me started on homeless people and their life stories. So yes, if I can be convinced-- I'd give in. And believe me, those girls were trying HARD. That's all I have to say about the situation since it's being handled.

Anywho, I'm in a bit of a bind because of my school dealing with my loans :I


So I'm taking sketch commissions! They are going to be single character drawings on 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. Pretty much pin ups. My sketching isn't very messy so it's more like a finished pencil line art. Could be some shading in thar depending on what the subject is wearing, etc. But yes, all pencil. EDIT: I WILL NOW BE ABLE TO DO LINE ART DIGITALLY. It takes about the same time so there's no problem if you want it either digital or penciled!

This is about all I can do right now on top of my other commission I have at the moment. (You know who you are! ) So yes, if anyone is interested, let me know.

Payment will be up front, and know that I need at least 2 weeks to get this done well. I'm not a speed demon and while I wish I was a little quicker at drawing, it's unethical for me to rush and come out with something mediocre. 2 weeks is stretching it, but I like to give a realistic time :/ My other normal commissions take me at least a good month a piece.

I will start drawing these on Monday and will have 5 slots at a time. They will be done in the order they come in. When one is done I will take the next in line. And while I said 2 weeks, you never know! It could be done quicker But please realize I go to class EVERY day of the week.

So far unpacking has been hell...

anywho, today is my birthday, and I'm 23... I feel so old! I'm not doing anything unfortunately, but I can't wait till I can afford to do something. I'm in finals week again, but I am just waiting till wednesday when I can finally be stress free.

After Katsucon weekend I feel a bit of spark in my drawing, so in other words I feel a bit inspired. I got to meet and two really cool guys! I never mingled before at a con so talking to these two and seeing some other friends really made my weekend. They have really great art/characters which I'm very anxious to draw.

And I was able to commission Ron Murphy for Yoko, which I'm very happy with *-* He drew her as Hula girl, my favorite character of his.

I got to sit with on friday, and practically next to his table the rest of the weekend >>; from there, he and my friend went to have sushi and drink, etc on saturday and it was soooooo fun. We got lucky at the sushi place since they stopped taking walk ins after a certain time. We were the last to be taken and I was so relieved. I'd've been so upset if we got turned away. So then, we bought too much sushi. And Upon was trying as much weird stuff as he could, and I'm glad he liked the place, cause it's my favorite restaurant. Red doesn't really like fish so I think it was mixed reviews from him

This leads me to all the things I'm going to be updating with this week. A crap load of stuff people have requested. Still not really taking commissions because I'm so damn slow and I'm suprised my internet is working these past days >_> But yea, I have too much heart to charge people money for my slow ass.

Hmm... also, most of the updates for the next couple of days will be of buxom girls >_>; I got a mini review this past week from my teacher and he says I need to draw more guys, so after this. It's happening. There will be enough tits and ass to get me through the year... So after that.. no more girls. (ok, that's a lie) I know I'm capable of drawing guys but, girls are just so much more fun. All my work lately is done digitally, and I don't use reference, ever. (maybe once) So.. me trying to find out if something works in a picture is just seeing if I'm capable of pulling it off. I like to look at art and pull out notes for later. I feel really accomplished if I can just use my knowledge of anatomy and draw. You'll notice my style change a lot... it's because I hardly ever sketch, and when I draw again it's drastically different. But it's mostly experimenting

But seriously, I've been half way done lots of people's stuff for months. It's just parts of the picture that leaves me stumped. Or it's so much to clean up that I take a break and never come back. So... yea.

But yea, it's really killing me. The four classes I have with the exception of one I'm really worried about. And the one that I'm not worried about is the one I have to do some pretty lengthy work for. It's my Senior project class.

So, with that said I've put all my drawing for personal stuff on hold. Shoot, right now I can't even seem to kick out a commission that I really wanted to complete. I feel really awful about not getting that and the requests done in a timely manner. But I'm seriously stressed out each week I go to class.

I'll try to post up some things though, I have a pic I owe someone that's on my virus ridden computer at home that I did in previous months. So atleast that'll be up, that and hopefully a 25k picture.

Just thought I'd update for the sake of updating.

I'm getting my new laptop next week, tablet PC to be precise.(UPDATE: GOT IT! And to tell you the truth the thing is like drawing on glass o_O... It's a WHOLE new learning curve.) And with that I'm going to clean up alot of art I've been doing on my regular tablet&desktop. I have a set list of people I owe stuff for. You know who you are. Well, not much actually, I plan to enjoy it this time. and I, being the non pre-registerers that we are are going to pull an all nighter with the folks at the building and get there super early Hopefully then we can get an artist table and such. If not, it's no real big loss. That just means you have to enjoy everything else! Even if we did get a table I'll only be sitting there for him if necessary. I don't have a good portfolio together yet. Besides the commissions I get from the regulars (That's like... 2) I won't be taking any. (Unless I'm contacted ahead of time I guess... that sounds kinda reasonable)

This gives me a chance to hang out with some friends I haven't seen in ages and I love these guys! And some friends from school ^^ Also depending on if I see some really great artists I saw last year, I may commission people instead! You people with your marker arts... watch out!


Don't know who all is going to Otakon but it'd be fun to see some peeps from DA. If I do see anyone and I don't seem too excited it's because I have to think about what to say and try to play it cool, in other words-- I'll be a nervous wreck.

If you haven't gone to Otakon yet, make it a plan sometime in the future! Not only is it placed in the lovely Baltimore city harbor. (hometown pride) It's full of places to be other than the convention itself. There's an aquarium, shops, seafood GALORE, live entertainment, the fudgery *-* and so many other places to be. I just enjoy being on the water. They have water taxis and paddle boats and such And I hope to go to hooters for dinner with my friends again. That was hella fun last year.

Anyways, I have to get through the week first. Class is really starting to pick up, even for the second week. Hope all is going well for everyone

Anyways... on a lighter note, it's summer break. That means I'm gonna be drawing the stuff Iowe you guys for realz~ I'm almost done about 50% of what I owe people, as well as stuff I wanna suprise people with! Hoboy... yea... that's about it. I'll be updating with some linework sometime in this week, that and making another post with progress of requests.

As of now, requests are closed. If you've already talked to me (or I owe you something from who knows how long ago) I've taken it into account and am going to start if I haven't already started on your picture ^^ This includes notes as well!

My best friend is taking commissions. (shameless plug) Go check out his gallery. He doesn't talk much and therefore doesn't really put himself out there... We're working on that! But yes, his linework is really clean and he draws and puts out ideas faster than I could ever dream of at the moment. ^^ Check him out!

I've drawn so much in my spare time. All that needs to be done is finalizing of the line art and we're good. I'll post up the line work when break is up. Then I'll worry about colors.

About that.... I DO take requests. BUT. There's no telling when it'll get done. I like taking them for the purpose of keeping things interesting and trying new things. So if you have something you'd like drawn just holler at me and I'll add it to my list of things to do. Also, I feel that eventually my drawing speed and confidence will increase making me be able to put things out faster... Too bad that isn't the case right now...

This is why I don't do commissions because I genuinely have to be interested in what I'm drawing from the jump to start it immediately. (Lol, if you SERIOUSLY don't mind the wait you can still commission me ) Not that I'm not interested in the characters, but sometimes I look at a character and go "ok, I'll draw it" Then I forget. Please don't take what I said the wrong way, I have the same problem with my own characters as well. But here's the doozy, when the mood strikes me I get an ephiphany of how I should draw the character. So while just drawing some shapes or if I see some inspiration I'll go "This pose would look really great with that so and so character that person asked me to draw" and I'll do it! So yea, it's alot of thought process involved. Now, if I were to draw something from the jump it'd still take some time, because I'd draw out things until I got what I wanted. If I'm not in a rush I'd rather wait and become inspired to draw them.

It's not that I forget either, I just need to think about what I'm doing. I have the same problem with sketches. Ya know how they tell you practice makes perfect? Well, not in my case. I can't draw things over and over. It'll get progressively worse OR it'll turn into something completely different from what I want, therefore making me lose interest for the moment. So you know what my practice is? I observe. I take things in, look at my old art work, go "Hey, this could be better. That eye is off, gotta work on that. I seem to do this angle alot, let's try something different. This style would look nice with this character." And next time I draw I apply all that I've absorbed and put it into one picture. Each time I draw something I try to drive to perfect it to the best of my ability. And each time I do I see myself getting a little better each time ^^ Lately since I've been tablet drawing I'm able to plan my works better. I can't say I use guildlines often, but some times using a line of action and a few shapes here and there to plan stuff really does help.

This quarter I've been working on my senior project. I'm going to make a childrens book. I went home this weekend for my grandmothers 75th birthday party (so many geminis in my family) and picked up a few books from my younger sister. She reads so well! That and she won the spelling bee at her school. Lol, she kept messing up on the word phosphorescent though. She turned 10 this may~ So proud of her. So yea, now that I have references to what a childrens book should be like I should be able to pull off a cover for this friday to show my class.

Speaking of birthdays mine is this thursday. Imma be 22 yesssss! Sadly I have to work through multiple final projects on that day. Maybe go out to eat that evening? Nah... Friday I plan to cook out. I like to grill stuff, so Imma invite a few friends over and do that. It'll be fun, I love to cook, and grilled is a taste I love!

Anyways, Otakon is coming up. I guess I'll write a separate journal about that when the mood strikes me. 2 weeks from now.

OHHHH and I've FINALLY taken out a loan to get a laptop. I won't get it till july but OH. MY. GOSH. [link] YES.

Modified for what I want it'll be about $3,000. But the guy at financial aid said it's well worth it. Being that I won't be able to afford it or anything I want after I leave school. So why not now?! That and I've always wanted a tablet pc. I noticed I don't really use sketchbooks anymore... He recommended Lenovo, which is the old IBM... and so far from what I've read it has great reviews.

I'm pretty inactive. Haven't been replying much. My apologies. I've been up to things and this quarter I have a pretty full plate. Wonderful classes though, can't say that they'll be too hard. Just time consuming.

What I'm going to do is post some work in progresses. Then when I'm done them I'll just move them to scraps. (who knows) But I just wanna show that I'm doing SOMETHING. People I thought who didn't even look at my art page (old friends) are calling me and telling me to update so... that tells me something so >> the next couple of deviations are proof for you Mark XD if you read this. I won't put up gift art WIP though... that's always a surprise

As always, forgive my inactivity >.< But I'm around and I'm usually checking everyone's gallery. I'm usually at a loss for words unless something seriously strikes me to be said. Anyways... Still trying to draw and all that jazz. Coloring is becoming much more of a task than actual drawing. But I must say, I've started drawing on the computer alot lately so alot of what I'll upload sooner or later will be all digital. It really helps in the planning out of things, that and the canvas is unlimited so I can draw as big as I want Which makes Karrie a very happy girl.

...Break is coming up soon. Can't wait! Going back home to visit my sisters and my mom and a few family members. ...Yep... still trying to catch up with that list of things to do for people... I need my ass kicked into gear. Forgive me~ I think even my mom is starting to threaten me for a picture.

Went to go visit my fam up in Baltimore. That was pretty nice, got everything I wanted (Nintendo DS, Digital Camera). Tha's about it. Helped my mom cook dinner which was VERY nice. Everyone I bought gifts for was happy with what they got. I'M GLAD! The downer was I was trying to get in contact with a friend there, and my phone died. Wouldn't turn back on or anything. So yea... missed the opportunity to hang out. That wouldn't be a problem if I remembered everyone's phone number by heart. But other than that...

New years! Spent it at my apartment with my room mates and friends. Skewered up some shrimp, drank a little. And there ya go OH! and cupcakes... I like making stuff during holidays. Makes people happy

Now it's close to school again. I start monday... so... I JUST started drawing. I finished a commission. started drawing 1 picture, finishing up another and hopefully I'll be able to touch photoshop this weekend to finish a few more things... LET'S HOPE. But yea, something should be up soon. If not just a sketch, a finished picture for one out of a number of people.

Yea, so my sis does nails. She has this client. Lady makes 70k a year making powerpoint presentations. Imma look into that...hopefully there's something there for me. I'm thinking if I can get a job doin that, I could get a place and maybe go to school part time instead of living in housing for thousands every quarter when I'm SHARING a room.

So yea, my room mate is moving out, the one I room with anyways. She's sweet, I wish she didn't have to go. But I"m hoping someone doesn't move in that I don't know. My other friend put in a request so I'm really hoping she gets my apartment... Cause that would be NICE to share a room with a friend.

Anyways, tired. Gonna get inspections tomorrow to see if the place is "up to standards" HAH... May draw a little more. Color if I get the computer (I share it with a friend)

On the upside, I'm kinda happy cause I got my christmas money from my mom So I bought a sexy black DS ( really wish it were skyblue...) and right now I'm playing Children of Mana. I like the battle system alot... It's really cool. The characters in game aren't as streamline as goldensun... But still has really nice animated cutscenes. The graphics remind me of when I would play BoF on gameboy... but with more colors.

Anyways... Haven't posted much. Don't plan to for a while until this quarter is DONE. So far in my freetime I've been playing maplestory (online sidescrolling mmorpg), Broa server. It's free... I started back in fall 2005... it's really getting good... hmm...

Yep... not much here. I'll be finishing school next year in fall or winter. That's a relief... I'll strive to get better by then... I'm sure my skills will grow by that time if I keep at it :/ Especially backgrounds.. They kick my ASS.

It has come to my attention I'd been watching no ones scraps XD... So I checked down the boxes on the whole page (whether some of the people I checked still come online or not I'm not sure) I wanted to be able to watch everyone. Alright Well, I've been tagged by the talented and I guess I have to say some weird things about myself...

1. I go by lots of nicknames... ones I never thought I'd have, including but not limited to: Kawwie, Kare Bear, Miss Lady, Kitty, Goddess boobies/rack, Darkness (not because I'm dark, but I guess because I'm slightly evil? Pish posh >> ) and also Shadow Vein o_O I guess for the same reason as the last one...

2. My wardrobe consists mainly of jeans and interchangable graphics tee's... I have no fancy clothes whatsoever.

3. Although I like R&B, Rap, and Rock I buy rock music on CD and don't really listen to it on the radio. Which is totally backwards for R&B and Rap which I listen to on the radio and don't buy CD's for.. the closest thing to that is Musiq Soulchild (my mom has stolen every release me and my sister ever bought from us, which defeats the purpose)

4. When it comes to soda, I like all the weird ones like birch beer, cream, strawberry, and generic blue.

5. I prefer sugarfree gum over regular, my favorite being polar ice flavor. My new fancy is Orbit though.

6. I write with a pen and draw with a pencil, if I interchange them I feel awkward.

Anyways, I'm getting things done, hopefully gonna get my military ID renewed sometime this week since I'll be off from work for the next 4 days starting tomorrow.. ANDDD.. I'll be drawing which is a LARGE plus... I can't cash my paycheck without an unexpired ID.. maybe I'll ask my mom to take me to the DMV and get a state ID instead.. yea, that'd be cool... I don't get it though... why don't they accept an expired ID as identification? I mean it's not like the person on the picture still ISN'T you.. The weight and stuff might flluctuate but other than that.. WTF?

But yea it's tiring. "What?! tiring you say?!" Yes... tiring, unbelievably so... the back area is bigger than the front. I prepare pastries and things, then I sweep the back and front part of the store, then i mop it. Wash some dishes that are left from everything (cause the owners runs a catering business out of the shop too) and then I gotta clean up the sandwich station.. I like the sandwiches we make.

I'm gonna cram in the last few assignments into this one week-- *gasp* the last week of school. They shortened it from 11 weeks to 10 weeks.. But the senior portfolio show is the 11th week. I suppose if we want to still turn stuff in, class is still in session. But for make up work.. naw...

Currently working on finishing a commission from Otakon... I sorta felt under pressure when I did it, but I did it... I don't like it much now, but the guy is patient enough with me even though he loved it.. So I'm gonna send him an even better picture than the one I drew before.

All the options with a price range are depending on the complexity of design. All CG work comes with a simple BG of some sort. BG's are like characters to me when it comes to time consumption so that's why it's kinda up there.

Also if you'd like it shipped to you other than recieving it electronically (I recommend this to the people who may like the actual original pencil/sketched drawings or if you'd just like a quality print) the price for shipping is $4 extra lumped on there. I ship priority USPS mail which is about 2-5 days depending where you live in the US. International shipping... we'll figure it out.

Payment is up front and can be made through paypal or mailed money order.. or if you're feeling adventurous!- cash by mail. BUT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I prefer to draw OC's BUT I'll draw just about anything. Just let me know, as I'm not familiar with alot of series. Nudity is fine by me, but run it by me anyways because some people push the envelope sometimes XD Oh, and PLEASE provide references. I'm horrible with written descriptions because they can be interpreted many ways. I'm very neurotic when it comes to how someone wants their characters hair or eyes, etc to look. So if you MUST send me a description, the more detailed the better. Otherwise, just link me a picture!

This goes into another issue. Be clear with what you want if you care about placement like that. (Most don't) And as far as content-- I've likely heard it all so don't be shy. I may or may not be able to make something EXACTLY as you want it drawn unless you tell me clearly. That means (for you writers) that you cannot just give me a story exerpt unless you really trust me Otherwise if you're really hoping to get an idea out just as you want it, you will have to retell me the scene if that's what you want me to draw. "He touched her cheek gingerly" <-- that could be interpreted many ways and in many positions as well as leaning against someone. So if you do not care otherwise, give me some sort of artistic freedom when it comes to placing things. Some things to take into mind with characters are angles, in camera and in positioning of the body , (profile, 3/4, back, front). And anything else you can think of!

Note: If I already promised you a picture I'll still get it done charge free of course! So no worries @.@... But they are things I do on my own time, sadly :/ So if you DO want something done quickly, it's best to pay me to do it. It makes me sad to say that, but it makes sense as far as time goes. Plus I do sort've like popping up and saying "HEY SO AND SO, I FINISHED YOUR PICTURE! HERE YA GO!"

Oooo... I've been thinking about it for a while, and I wanna have really nice abs by june or july... (I know I know, you people say I look fine already >> But the 'ooch' isn't cutting it for me don't worry! I won't work it all off... I'm not gonna be scrawny o-o; ) I was looking on ebay and from friends I've found that belly dancing is kinda intriguing ^^. So I went on ebay and bidded on two videos which seem nice to get me in better shape AND to learn some basic techniques... I was always shy about dancing so hopefully this'll put my foot in the door. Who knows, I may even dress up nice for Otakon... I never got to see Nina belly dance or Sako... so hopefully I can join them this time and work really hard to get a table-- which reminds me...
I'm helping a friend to promote his new comic, I hope it get's pitched by antarctic press... I really do, cause we keep boggling our minds wondering how some really bad artists make it (Fred Perry being one, I like the poses he does occasionally, but I'm not partial to his style, but seeing as he still has a fan base from inking from Marvel and I assume he has a good story I guess that's where all his fandom is from, he's not bad, but it's just not my thing) So I'm hoping L'Vaughn... Ok, I'm not the best of the bunch but I can draw some nice stuff sometimes, and I've really been coloring other people's stuff lately and it's really inspiring. Plus I still have to do the Kiriban for Courtney... and Elise's angels.. (I haven't forgotten!) and also you Tra, I'll still do your character too. I gotta look back at her name... But for all these, I have many great things in mind...

Other than that, my sister's visiting this week, woooo shopping and stuff... I've never been so happy to go shopping before, usually I'd be happy with my non-trendy clothes and such.. I'm not greedy but it's nice to really wear some stuff that I actually liked to have picked out .... Like someone once told me "You dress differently when you have the freedom to pick your own clothes"... True.. I love to dress normal-- jeans, and alternate shirts... But, I do love skorts, and things of the such... and I love camouflage... so much and khaki. Also, I can't wear heels o-o scary, but I do want some of those sandals that lace up, they're kinda cute... so, yea...

I need a new dev id...

Right now I'm not too enthuised. But that's alright.

School's started up again and I need something to motivate myself to draw. I gotta get up and going again. I'm supposed to be pitching a comic with a few friends...

I need motivation, and ... I'd just like to draw stuff on request for now. I'd like to do some art trades ^^ It seems fun when other people do it...

I know I have some I should be doing for people but if you guys could remind me in this journal that'd be great ^^...

Other's are welcome to ask as well. I'm open for anything... almost. Tasteful nudity is fine.

Just tell me what you want drawn. A short description so I know how they're attitude is and it gives me an idea of what pose to put them in. Also, colors of hair and clothing. I'll be doing shading most likely, It helps anyway so I know how to vary the shading and stuff depending if the clothing or hair is black or white or another color that's all. But if I like the picture alot or upon request, I might be willing to color it ^^...

Of course, the description and stuff only goes for characters I don't know too well... (not even a descriptive description is necessary, but the characters personality, i.e. perky, evil, mischeavous, shy, etc. or if they like to read, sword fight, swim.. blah blah is all I need) I know how people feel about their story and characters privacy and originality factors.. I know I am. If you want fan art and I know the anime or whatever there's really no need cause I can just google references.

All in all, I'd rather do art trades... If you have the time ^^...

I had sooo much fun at Katsucon, about as much fun you could have at a con... I guess it's a little bit better than Otakon, I mean for the simple fact it's not too much walking around BUT it's hella cold outside. Thank God it's warming up.

A big plus is me and my commission buddy got a table and work to do for some guys who work at Media Blasters. They are the coolest... They loved our work so much the gave us discounts and asked us to do more commissions after the con and paid us on the spot XD...What I'm supposed to do is draw Emeraldas ... I've been too busy but he says he doesn't care how long it takes me... I'm glad he understands I don't like to rush drawings. ^^ Overall, I guess I'll be starting it the week before break so I can ink and scan it in. Then I'll be able to color it during break. VERY tedious... But you gotta love photoshop. John if you see this, thank you SO much for everything.
I've witnessed the greatness which is Leiji Matsumoto, his new work has really cleaned up alot, it's beautiful! When I used to look at the ads for Galaxy express I didn't like the art too much, but now he's my favorite artist... I tell you, you gotta love the classics though... the story telling is brilliant. But even back then he had a way to his style... I'm so glad I looked into it.

Anywho, all this made me realize that I should have more prints than commissions... I draw slowly and with lots of sketchy lines, then I clean it up a little cause I still like to keep the sketchy feel.. Plus people said they really loved the eyes I drew *-*... I swear, it's like the best feeling when people walk up to you and say your art is great. Guess I also learned that I should draw more inuyasha... don't like the series much, but it sells... There were two girls who wanted to buy a sketch of sesshomaru and it wasn't even complete and they didn't even care that it wasn't... even when I offered to finish it...
But the early bird gets the worm o-o... So the second girl bought it when she came back again... I sorta miss that picture, but didn't care too much for it... ;~; *sob* two of my originals are gone... I'll miss them so.

and Rachel... you Rachel... do your commissions girl!.. I know you're struggling too!

Which leaves me to ponder... I need to sign up for Otakon. They're capping it this year

Besides getting a table.. all I really wanted was to get one in order to see if I can sell pins/buttons... Me and my sister when we were young had a button making business called button's n things! I was thinking about how we made home made buttons (if requested) and how I could use that to my advantage now... The only problem is I gotta find the supplies we used to make the darned things x.x.. The clamp, the metal backings, and the plastic... I believe I also know the size of the circle I needed too... But alas! How would I seel them? :/ .... my point exactly.. unless! I put them into the art auction... I could do chibi's... that's it!...

Came from Otakon... had an OK time. I was tired for most of the time and all the walking to get to where you needed to go was horrendous. Me and some friends didn't get a table this time.. But that's alright, always next year... Gonna be working on some stuff to put in the art show for anime usa... hopefully.

Been getting alot of inspiration lately. Guess I gotta put it to good use...

Heh .... After about 2 weeks back in Maryland... I'm going back home to Virginia. A weekend in Hershey Park, a few nuisances here and there and I'm just about through.... It was so bad here I had no inspiration to draw... So hopefully I'll get back from this hiatus when I go back to my humble abode.... how ever that's spelled... Plus I can't wait to meet my new room mate ^^.... and see my friends at school..

I saw a few friends in MD after a long time of no talking and whatnot.. it was really nice to catch up and talk about the times we had since the last time we talked... Everyone's growing and progressing so fast ^^... I'm so happy for them... There's one person I wish I'd talked to though... She's right down the street... We both can't get off our lazy asses and see each other It's just that bad.... Eh... I'll call and visit her before I leave tomorrow... She going to school for forensics and I animation... I just look at the pictures we took and smile... We might go out again sometime and go to the mall like we used to... once it's all over... once we get outta that place called college....

I've had my ups and downs now and I'm pretty satisfied with all my decisions... No regrets.... none...

Otakon is also comin up... I can't wait to sell some art :3 .... Though... I'm not sure really what to sell... I know I'll be doing stuff from my favorite manga artist Ken Akamatsu.... hmm.. on request I think I got some FF7 and Real bout high school (manga).... I need new prisma markers too... after putting 50 away for otakon and some other money for a hotel and whatnot... 10 for auction... I just hope I make enough money to get myself by.

No matter how much my parents might aggravate me sometimes... and how much they won't let me grow... I know I am... and I want to.... and they'll be the first ones I thank when I do well... lol.... they said they wanted to come to Otakon.. as my mom said to "see me in action"... .....I feared for her life so I said no o-o;.... Crazy Otaku wanting hugs and glomps from strangers... it's fun..... but some people just really look desperate...

Hmm... what else.. Go my hair trimmed.... glad about that.. Other than that... Just been cleaning around the house.. got out a few days... went swimming.... hershey park wasn't that bad either.. we ate out all the time we were on vacation.. it was 25 of us all together so you can't say that wasn't really sad... mostly kids too.. toddlers...

I figured out my new favorite restaurant though.. it's called red robin and they just have the nicest waitresses and waiters I've ever seen in a restaurant.. I was gone with my friend david there the other day and they claimed they took a while with out food.... longer than usual... and so they gave us our onion rings for free and 10 dollars off the other stuff on the bill... It was like "wow"... "arent' we lucky"....

All I can say is... it wasn't too bad here while it lasted... and... it's just something about being on your own that makes you really miss it. Sure I'll miss my parents ... But the nagging and constant early curfew has to stop sometime right?... Heh.... Oh well...

I'm still drawing Milia for Theo... and Seph and chibi vincent for Rachel o-o... If I don't she might kick my ass at school ... But none the less... coming up I have some sketches... once I get to a scanner I'll upload them and see what you guys think... Mind you, they're sketches and won't be perfect o_O... Cept for maybe one... cause I kinda tried hard on it o-o;...... for weeks even... cause I kept stopping... and needed references...

But yea... look out for stuff... Cause usually after these dry spells I usually start back up strong. I need to do fan art... and fan art is what I shall do!... ]]> =atechnogoddess
