1) I'm considering joining the military. _{Oh yes, you heard that right.} Honestly, the scholarship program is pretty great and I'd love to be a family physician for our soldiers and their families.

2) I'm about halfway done with chapter eight of TCIAW. I apologize for the delay, but at this point I'm all but forcing it. I want to skip ahead and write some stuff (the good stuff) but I can't with this writing style. T_T

3) There's a massive ItaSaku project I'm currently dabbling with; when it's done I'm going to dedicate it to a few ff.net writers that inspired some of the writing.

4) Speaking of projects, I started a group. is for fans of *watashi-no-nindo and the Way of the Ninja AU. There's more information at either of the mentioned links.

I'm getting caught up in ItaSaku again, and it's kinda taking over my mind. I'm almost afraid to work on TCIAW because ItaSaku could happen there. I wasn't planning on it, but it could. *snorts* Yeah, over Sakura's dead body. I think I should be more worried about NejiSaku on that front. And no, it's not supposed to happen.

I'm working on a massive ItaSaku oneshot/twoshot that actually has -legasp!- development. And the title of this journal is comically the title of the save file. Just so you know.

I learned how to use a fire extinguisher today. Class ABC, and that stuff stings in your nose and throat. We still don't know if the state hospitals will let us in for clinicals (in NC, if you're under eighteen and not a patient, you're not allowed in the hospital) but hopefully I'll be able to take my CNAs after the class is over. Oh, and for the less educated of you, CNA means Certified Nurse Assistant. As in, legally capable of working in a hospital. I'm so excited.

It. Was. Awful.

I remember every mistake and every cruddy description. The plotline was cliche and overused, the characters were OOC, and my OC was one big, fat Mary Sue.

It was a learning experience, I suppose. (At least now I can look back at it and laugh. A year ago I cringed in memory.) I've come a long way. I still have a ways to go, but I'm learning. That's enough, if you really think about it. At least every flame that made me upset was then used to whip my writing into shape.

I'm branching out, too. I'm more willing to challenge myself, more willing to write things I never could (or would) have written before. I'm noticing mistakes as I make them. I make sure my stuff gets a good BETA glance-over.

Unlike my ramblicious journal, my writing actually makes sense. Sometimes. (I like the vague stuff, the ones that make you go... is that the end?) Give it a go if you want. I could recommend my best (and my worst) if you'd like, but hey, I'm just happy to see a lingering in my inbox. Comments are nice, but I'm no review ho. So, um, enjoy? I hope you can find something to fit your tastes.

Yes, I just turned a nostalgic rant into shameless self-promotion. It's shameless, but I don't care.

*foams* Two more school days until exams!!! And I don't even have to be there the whole time those two days! That having been said, I'm going to be a senior next year.

... holy hell. When did that happen?

I mean, I'm the one who's going to be a senior and it friggin' snuck up on me. Can you believe a whole school year has gone by already? It's amazing how fast time goes once you start maturing for real. Let's put it this way: there is no way in hell I'm ready or able to support myself. I mean, even though I'm going to be a senior I should be cut some slack. I'm the second youngest person in my grade. There are freaking FRESHMEN older than me. T_T It's insane to think that I'm supposed to be this close to becoming a self-reliant adult. I'm mature enough to realize I'm nowhere near that level yet. I started school at four and I've always excelled in my academics. Either teachers seem surprised that I do so well for being so young or surprised that I'm so young in the first place. Nobody believes that I'm going to be a senior at sixteen, but it's true. I'll be graduating at seventeen. Life is moving ahead so fast for me, but I just want the chance to be a kid for a while longer. I had to grow up too fast (divorced parents and abuse will do that to you).

I think that's enough of the pity party, eh? I'm alive, I'm happy, and it's almost summer. I'll just have to make the most of it, I suppose.

So, it had to be done. I needed to update this ridiculous thing I call a journal. They gave out yearbooks at our school. It's almost summer vacation and I am ecstatic!

I'm going to paint my walls a green reserved for limes and techno people with crazy hairdos. It's going to look so good when my gran and I get done! Oh, I'm sure you've noticed that I have the materials to make animated GIF files now. = D
That makes me happy as well.

I've been spending one of my classes every day at school on watching Naruto. It's so funny to see these guys in class struggle with our review work and listen to them bitch about it when they could shut up and watch anime every day like me.

It's raining here, which is so amazing to watch. Rain is magnificent.
Oh, and the wind howls at my house. It freaking howls. Dark romantics are jealous of my front yard right now.

... I'm an avid NaruSaku, NaruHina, and KakaSaku shipper. SaiSaku grew on me too. What? It's cute and dark all at once. So did ShikaTema, but don't let anyone know that. Eh, who cares? Tell the whole world.

For a project in art class, I'm painting a window with special paint to look like stained glass. It's going to spill over into my vacation, so I'm going to be buying window paint. Anyone know where the best place to buy that is?

I can truthfully say that I've slept out under the stars now. My sister, my neighbor, and myself spent the night on my neighbor's trampoline. It was so much fun to jump around at two in the morning. By time we settled down to sleep it was kinda chilly, but it didn't get below 65 degrees. Our toes got pretty numb, but that's the worst of it. Oh, and my neighbor ragged on me and my sister because she's always the first one up... and I was the first one up this morning. Irony: bitchy to the end. I walked my butt back home and got some coffee and a pair of socks.

On another note I got to meet the dog my parents are fostering currently. She's a real sweetie named "Daisy" but you can tell she's been mistreated, and it hurts me inside to look at her scars. She doesn't lick or really show affection, but she's getting better. She started wagging her tail again, which is a relief. She's pretty skittish around men (but did warm up to my dad- the softie) so she's been pretty clingy around my mom. As her previous owners were Hispanic, my dad joked that she might not understand English; I laid next to her on the bed and just started talking to her in Spanish. She turned her head and put her nose on mine while I was, which was pretty amazing. I told her she was beautiful and nobody would hurt her. (Nadie is nobody, right?) All things considered, she's doing well. She even licked a bit of honey off my finger when offered (as opposed to chomping down on food when offered).

In other news, our school is having a spirit week in March, and in particular we're having a Super Hero/Villain day. I want to be a villain. I want to dress up. Anybody have any ideas as to whom I should dress as?

So... I was considering something in biology last year and I've refined the idea somewhat, but now I want to know what you all think.
I think I've found the cure for AIDS. The problem is, I have neither the money nor the brains to make it a reality. I really think I'm onto something here, and I wanted to make this public. Anyone who can make this happen, do it. I don't even care if you give me credit. Knowing that I helped save lives would be more than enough.



Mosquito saliva dissolves blood. Red blood cells, plasma, white blood cells, the whole shebang. Here's the thing: it also completely destroys the HIV virus. Now, I'm no genius, but HIV cells and red blood cells are two different types of cells. Therefore, it must take two different kinds of enzymes to break down the cells. If the enzymes could be separated and re-created, then the HIV virus could be eradicated within an infected person's body.

Is there anyone out there that can make this happen?

It. Happened. Again.

I'm sick. Like, near-hospital sick. I was extremely dehydrated and really dizzy; I did pass out once and almost passed out a few other times. But, that was yesterday. Today I'm still a bit dizzy, but I should be back to normal by tomorrow.

I'm sick. With a capital "S".
No, I'm being over-dramatic. I'm a bit under the weather, yes, but I'll survive. Just a bit of congestion and sinus pressure, but I''ll be fine. I've had worse before, right?

Not so sure where all this optimism is coming from, but I won't complain about it.

I've joined a few new clubs in the last few days. Those are down a little ways with the rest of the clubs I'm in.

But I have a serious question for everyone. Why is it that when I upload writing (fanfiction, to be more specific) everyone pounces on it and leaves lots of comments, but hardly anyone comments on any of my photography (or original fiction, for that matter)?
