Vincent is much better now and back to his old self. Thank you to everyone who commented I really do appreciate it!

Right now I am in disparate need of a job and currently looking. I sadly have not gotten any job concerning my art (graphics design) Such as cd design since 2006 and I am also confused on where to look. If anyone has any advice please feel free to send me a note. I could use any help I can get right now.

Vincent my other cat is sick. I am hoping it is nothing serious and that he just got a cold due to all the stress in our lives lately and the antibiotics will work and get him all better.

Poor little guy has gone through a great deal, from losing his brother to the fire to staying at a hotel, then at my sisters in laws and now a new home.

I did bring him to the vet and they ran some blood work and prescribed the antibiotic. When I want to check out I owed $400 that is including when Verbal passed away. I do not have this money because of all the stuff in my life with the fire and moving and I am looking for a job. So they did not let me take the antibiotics because I couldn't pay the $400 up front. And today I called to see what the blood work says is wrong with him and they will not tell me until I pay the $400. I really don't understand this animal hospital.

Well I ended up getting the vet to call in the prescription to a local drugstore. Which to me doesn't make any sense, that they would not allow me to take the medication they had even if I paid them for it, but they can call it into a drugstore..

So now I am just waiting on results on how Vincent is doing, and I hope he will get better. Although for now I need to try and come up with the money to pay this vet bill.




Things are looking up finally for us; we got ourselves a really nice apartment in a fairly new complex. I am very familiar with these apartments and have always adored them. There location is great just right next door to Borders Book Store and behind the grocery store we always go to so it is walking distance. Also it’s just a five minute walk to the mall. We have two swimming pools a cardio facility in the club house and two tennis courts. We finally have a dishwasher and laundry facilities in the building, and we have a balcony. Oh and it is a two bedroom, one of which will be my art studio. We have a corner unit meaning more windows! I am so glad we have something nice now verses living in old houses that the owners do not really keep up with.

I can have cats also which is nice. I have one right now Vincent which I have had for about two years now and plan on getting probably another one but long haired probably similar to Verbal but different colors and/or markings as I am not trying to replace Verbal because I know I can not nor have any intentions on doing so.

I will take pictures when we get more settled, and will be starting on some new art.

No I am not joking. I guess when it rains it pours in my life. I got a call from my bf that he was called and told that our apartment was on fire. I have been dealing with the loss of my 18 year old cat so I have been actually at my mothers house all week. I almost stayed at home on Friday but decided at the last min that i would go to my mom's again. Leaving my 2 year old cat at home.

When I got the call I started to panic thinking it was our apartment and Vincent (my cat) was going to die. My mom and I rushed over to my house which by that time the fire was out. I talked to the fire fighters and told them about Vincent being home and asked if he was ok. They told me one kitty didn't make it, it was my neightbors.

Our neighbors actually connected to our apartment by 2 doorways (theirs and ours) that went up to the attic. And our bathroom was right next to there living room. I was so luck that it was called in time and the fire didn't get to make it over to our bathroom. Though you can see how the bathtub in the corner had a little bit of burn marks so it looks as if it was starting to move over to our apartment but was put out in time. Also our bathroom window was cracked due to heat.

The fire was electrical from old wires I imagine and not being updated to our time and neglect of the house as well. Everything in our apartment smells like smoke and I have some water damage. We will not be able to move back in ever because of the damage. The house I think will be demolished. I am just glad it didn't start on my side, I am really lucky, as well as I didn't stay home and go back to sleep like I originally wanted to.

I am currently looking for a new apartment and will be staying with family for now. I just can't wait to get a new place and get my life back together. Till then now new art of course.

In other news Verbal my 18 yr old cat had his cremations done yesterday after noon. It was still had to believe he is gone but he lived a very long and very loved life and I will have his remains buried with me.




June 3,1990 – October 18, 2008

He was soo much more to me than just a kitty he was my best friend and most of all my soul mate. I had him for 18 years 2/3’s of my life. Now that he has gone it’s so hard to believe. I am so use to him being there, always sleeping with me, waking up feeding him, putting him in the window, setting up the couch for his naps. I loved him as a mother would love her own child, as that is what he was to me.

On January 23 2007 I had woken up to him being very sick and lethargic and rush him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a benign tumor in his liver and renal (kidney) failure (only 30%worked). We where all scared then if he’d pull through and as always he did. He was soo strong and willful. I prayed for more time with him and I was honored to have it. Theses last almost 2 years I had with him I really am grateful. I spent so much more time than the usual trying to nurse him back to health and spoiling him as much as I could. I introduced him to a window bed in which I have never seen him so happy to have, spending so many hours sleeping in it and so content. I eventually made additional window beds/perches for him through out the house in different rooms, including the bathroom where the sun shines the most.

These last couple of weeks he was getting worse not being able to go the bathroom on his own, but I didn’t mind if he wet himself I never looked at it as anything that he was doing was bad. So Last Monday I brought him into see the doctor since he was having these problems and to see if maybe there was something we could do to fix him and also get rid of his bloating which I thought was only cause he needed to go the bathroom more. I found out the Mass grew more and compressing itself inside and his abdomen was filled with fluid. I wish there was something I could have done to fix him, to make him better, to heal him.

Yesterday morning I woke up to him to which looked like him trying to curl around and was to weak to. He was I was awake and mewed at me. I knew something was seriously wrong. For the past few days I had started feeding him through a dropper as he would not eat on his own. Yesterday I tried I tried everything I though would help. I had no choice but to bring him into the hospital that night. They told me it didn’t look good and the fluid was now in his chest and crowding his heart and lungs. They tried to hydrate him more but the fluid didn’t go tot the right placed and just made it worse. His heart stopped, they did cpr and brought him back I was there I touched his back I was so scared and sad. He started to breath again. They told me he wasn’t going to make it and most likely flat line again, but he was also in pain. He kept meowing from time to time. I had no choice, I didn’t want to, but he was in pain. I hugged him and held my head on him and hugged him. Its sooo hard to believe he is gone. Just last Sunday he was walking around the house, sleeping with me just Friday night. Now no more. I have never felt so horrible and missed anything this way.

I love him so much and will miss him always. I am contemplating getting him cremated so he can be buried with me. Towards the end he was really affectionate towards me more so than usual.
