I have received an email from Cape Town agency regarding a copyrights issues, apparently someone stole my work and posted it on kuwaitup.com used it for tutorials and some sort of bizarre banners causing me, the model and the agency a lot of trouble, they used random images and some images that we can get sued over..

I don't understand how people can take things so lightly.. they think an image on the net is to be used without permission without anything.. its so upsetting, I have never been embarrassed this way before, the agency thought I used the images for ads while we agreed on testing, it was horrible news to me, I had to explain everything I was not aware of my works going around..

I think leaving DeviantArt is the best thing to do..I don't want to have to deal with things like that again if I could avoid though it can never be avoided but I rather keep my works under my vision.

I want to thank everyone for always being supportive and its sadden me to leave all the members I've communicated with through out my time on DeviantArt.

So I am back home finally, broke as a hell, thanks to Bangkok lol but I will survive!

The best thing I spent my money on is investing in a new camera, Canon EOS 50D, I have other camera's but this one I just wanted so much since it was released.. but it was about 6,700 AED in Dubai while I found it for 4,600 AED in Bangkok! What a difference!

I added new pictures and would love to know if you like it

On another note..
Once again my subscription to DA is overdue, so I am not sure if I will renew it because I was thinking of leaving DA weeks ago, so I will see what I will do.

We also did an Abaya shoot,

clothes differently so it was difficult and we struggled
a bit but then I think if I photoshop it,

I have to move out of my apartment in Dubai, some problems I've been facing with it, so I just decided to leave, I can't finish my one year contract, its just been six months right now, if I am planning to get back to live in Dubai I might have to get a one bedroom apartment, its more than enough, but gosh the rent just getting higher and higher every year.....

I wish I can move out of here, I want to live somewhere else, just to experience a different life style, less stress, and just meet and deal with happy faces.. I guess all of us dream of that..don't we?

I walked to The Emporium mall after changing my mind on riding the BTS Skyline, the mall is really nice, but I was not in the mood for shopping really, I thought I'd do that some other time as I was interested to see more of Bangkok than shopping..

I was carrying my Sanyo Xacti E1 video/still camera with me, I didn't bring my Canon I thought that one would be ok for now, surprisingly the still pictures isn't that bad.

This is a hair salon on the way to my hotel in Sukhumvit. I was desperate to go to a salon as my hair with all the humidity went frizzy but I couldn't get into that one, I thought IF they'd misunderstand me.. I'll end up blond!

Lovely school girls I met on the street of Bangkok near the Benjasini Park. I loved their cute school uniforms, I had to stop them for a picture, they did not understood English but sign language was no problem, all I did was touch my clothes and point at them and thumb up and smile!

Ok so I thought I'd share some biscuits crumbs with the pigeons, well I didn't expect to see 50 pigeons flying toward me, I freaked out, it was scary, embarrassing and strangely fun, I saw some other tourist taking pictures of the pigeons attack lol how embarrassing is that.

I love these pink taxis though I haven't ridden one yet!

I was shocked when I saw this and I had to take a picture! Warm-Up is the last thing on my mind while in Bangkok!

If I can't find a better way of transportation here I'd go crazy

New camera.. yay~

On another note, I was finally able to purchase the Canon 5D, I worked so hard to get it (worked with ÙÙ ÙØ¨ Ù Ø¯Ø¨ wallah lol) and I hope it's worth it though, I haven't used it yet, I do need the battery grip but it was out of stock and will restock in about 3 weeks, so I just ordered online, it made me wish I ordered the body online as well, National Stores are rip off really, they charged 3,000 Dirhams more than what they sell it in HK and the US :\

Hopefully my next purchase will be a Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM lens, I really loved it on the 5D when I tested it at the store, that will take me a while to get it as well, I really hate being broke, sometime I wish I didn't get my apartment :/

My bedroom at the JLT, Dubai Marina
I loved this green & blue theme, started as a retro
then ended up something else XD

The leather sofa is from The One,
I've bought it a long ago and I've just kept it in the storage room hoping to
use it someday and I am glad I have now, its a very nice piece.
The bed frame is Ikea Vinstra without the headboard,
actually the custom headboard costs more than the bed frame itself lol

The other wall of the room is in lime green, I just adore the wallpaper pattern

On another note..
I've finally settled in Dubai, I've put my heart and soul in this apartment (money wise lol) and I hope it will still be in one piece and won't give me any trouble like the previous apartment did.. something weird, though I don't want to think about such things but this year started quite badly, car broken, I am broke, my brand new apartment had a huge leak issues, so I am praying and hoping this is just a test and with patience it will turn out well.. if I make any sense..

Boring weeks in Dubai.. I have no car to take me around, I haven't been working on any photo shoot because I just can't get out of this apartment.. or even work in it as my family sometime around..

We were running late, we wanted to do a shoot at the beach, took the wrong turn and got caught in traffic so when we arrived at the beach it was already sunset, it was SO WINDY that all the sand got into our eyes, my flash umbrella was flying lol we were freezing to death! Some guy was bothering us and yes Clare was in a bikini so you can imagine the fuss about it =_= .. but overall it was a nice shoot, slow but we got some good pictures, I liked the beach idea so I might try to shoot there but when there is less people watching because it was really uncomfortable for me.

Wahh I just got back from Abu Dhabi, I went to Ikea again lol my god, I was SO happy to find everything I couldn't find in Ikea Dubai, such a relief, now I have a decent dinning table, chairs, stools and cabinet and also a coffee table, it was really more for less, I also went to 2XL, they were on sale which was really great for me, I was able to buy few accessories for the place such as cushions and glasses, decorations.. I will post a picture as soon as I get the keys inshallah

The agent at Better Homes showed me some properties in International City Spain Cluster, I was excited to get it as it looked ok to me, its a new building in S17, but little by little I did my research quite late, I've read a lot of complains about the International City properties such as bad smell, sewage problems and all that.. now I am SO confused, I have until Monday to think about it and I am not sure if it's a good deal or not, I found 1 bedroom apartment, the bedroom will be my studio and the living area will be just a resting place, it will be very easy for me to continue my photography work when I have a place to work in but I am still not certain..

I'm even asking people in shops if they know anyone that leasing a house or villa in certain areas such as the ones I mentioned above, they all told me they will get back to me but that was months ago and no sign of it..

I am VERY stressed right now

So I finished my shopping and went to meet my friend and his friend, on the way, someone called me to bring me some news that have really really bothered me regarding to photographers rates. Anyhow, I had lunch and all and heard lots of lines such as "people take advantage of you" .. "you are TOO nice" .. "you get ripped-off all the time and infront of your eyes".. well how would you react if people keep telling you that.. I can't change my personality over the night, I am a very peaceful and nice person in real life, too nice as they say, too sickly sweet (believe me I am not complimenting myself I am just feeling sorry for myself as this life we live now needs stronger heart-less people especially in this industry) .. *sigh* so yeah.. I suddenly felt the need of calling the agency that I use all the time and expressed my feeling about the rates thing, I guess because I am usually very quiet or cheerful person, listening to me speaking loud sounded very strange.. but I couldn't help it, I was upset, disappointed and I couldn't help but speaking loudly even if I didn't mean it I just don't know what to do, I don't want to hate photography because of what's been happening to me lately, there been lots of disappointment and lots of feeling down or under pressure.. and what bugs me the most is when you try all your best and no one appreciate it.. so what to do now? Quit it? Take a break? Or turn into a stone hearted and just live with it? I don't think I can do the last one, I just can't change my personality, this is what I am.. take it or leave it.. I just need to be more caution.. keep boundary..

Yes, another boring and depressing post, but I needed to let it out.. I guess some of you thinks that what I do is glamorous and fun but not really, you turn into something you are not.. you have to deal with people you never met or heard of before and might get on your nerves.. and the fact that you are raised to respect and be respected and then you get into this back-stabbing world, everyone talks about everyone behind their back, its way too much for me to handle, I hated to speak or gossip about everyone behind their back but when everyone is doing it in Dubai and in that particular industry so what else can you do but join the crowd ..

Workshop?

I was planning to set up a fashion workshop session for the female photographers who would be interested in portraits and fashion session, I'll be teaching the intendeds what to watch out for, how to pose a model. The session will be giving outdoors so it might be sometime in Oct. or Nov. depends on who's interested and if it went all right I will consider doing workshop for everyone and not only women photographers. So let me know what you all think about this.

Please note: There won't be how to setup lights since we will be outdoors using natural lights or flashes on umbrella or on camera flashes. The session is a paid session, 8 max number of photographers.

I've been on ipernity for a month and half and it suddenly got out of control, I got offended by someone who forces himself in everyone's activity and honestly I couldn't take it anymore, I tried being polite, tried ignoring that person and his "fetish pictures" and still would force himself upon any new members, so if you joined there please be aware of who you accept in your friend list.

It's quite different working overseas, being on my own, no one you know, just people you meet for the first time, they are lovely people yes, but it was difficult for me to manage everything, I did not have a stylist, assistant or anything, just a makeup artist who was sweet enough to do the hairs as well and she was amazing at it, so we just two people working on 2 models, well three models though Ryan did not need any makeup or anything, just picking up what to wear with what and thats it.

I remember getting quite upset with the weather, it was rainy a min and sunny another then all rainy again, we started from 10:30 am and at 12 pm I just felt like I had enough or the day was going too slow, for once, I usually think working from 10 am to 6:30 pm is not enough back in Dubai, but I guess it is different after all, there was not much motive, the clothes were not great to choose from, if Shannon did not bring along her suitcase we would probably not have anything nice to put on them, I borrowed clothes from the guest house host, I borrowed clothes from this girl for the other girl lol it was a mess I remember, but it was a fine session, the results came out nice, Ryan was a beautiful young man, his agent was quite happy with the pictures so yes I was happy too . Shannon was a fun girl, she is talkative and fun to work with though she was the last one to pose as she was getting her hair straighten (unfortunately it does not work with her look at all, she looks fabulous with curly hair), Tarryn on the other hand, she was quiet but little by little started to talk and she got very excited working with Ryan. They got along quite well.

Obviously the users in UAE cannot access my webpage, how disappointing, it is probably something to do with Etisalat (internet provider) I hope it's going to be back to normal soon, I really don't feel like complaining to Etisalat support service, they are bunch of #&@*#^

I have received a couple of e-mails regarding to wedding photography, well it sound a bit interesting as I might get paid more, but to think of all the hustle and such that could happen at the wedding, with the tense brides and the demanding family makes me think it's not worth all the trouble.. I like fashion/portraits photography, it's my passion, so why ruin it with weddings lol.. ahhh.. sorry ladies :\

I went in, we were late, we had only one hour to shop, I found the wigs shop, I bought three wigs for my shoot, hair extensions, eyelashes, everything you need for a cool and well prepared photoshoot! The extensions were cheap though, the seller says its a human hair, but I don't think a real human hair would cost only 150 Dhs? It's a clip-on extension, really nice

While walking around, I found this shop at Dragon mart sells women clothing that I see often on eBay, I was like WHA??? I bought this from eBay for 5$+15$ for shipping, and here they sell it for 25 Dhs >_< I wanna kill someone! Well it was a good deal, I can use these outfits on request when the models need them, it doesn't look that bad though..

So we were done at 10:20 PM, the shops were closing, I wanted to wash my hands and refresh up before getting in the car, got in the ladies room and my god! Disgusting roaches all over the place!! What kind of a mall is this?? I am so shocked, so disappointed, I never seen something as filthy as this.. I just hope they will clean it up soon or am calling the baladyah XD WALLAH!

However, after we left, we were heading to Al Ain, uhm and guess what? My driver got lost again, it took us around 2 hours to go back home LOL
