After looking around online, along with some thinking and other junk, I ended up coming up with two more entries to the so called "list" of mine of possible cosplays/crossplays to do. Bet some people are wondering what are the reasons for the choices, if I told ya that I would have to do something very bad (not really, I don't have much reasons though since I suck at reasons/explanations sometimes). But enough babbling and on to the reveals for this entry.

*NOTE*: The first six were revealed in previous LJ entries, so I just combined them into one reveal here. The last two are the actual new ones that came up today/tonight

That should wrap things up for this entry. Next week should be pretty interesting for me, with Yaoi Con taking place on Halloween weekend and allowing me to dress up with something that is a bit of a challenge (personal challenge that is) in doing another crossplay. Hopefully I have everything with me and the right stuff to pull it off (forgot something for the chest at home with the Fanime attempt along with having inferior makeup). Also looking forward to pre-reging for Fanime 2010 over there too so I can take care of that as soon as possible.

Does make me wonder though if I should spill the beans or not about a certain costume I am going to do for Fanime 2010......what do you all think?

Better wrap things up before making this longer than it should.

I'm still alive, just been away from dA since I believe early July. I'm still doing the Live Journal entry posting thing about once a month.

I'll probably have a more in depth entry later.

As for my drawings, I still haven't given up and just drawing not as frequently. Been working on a new pic since September but stopped working on it for about two weeks (its about 3/4ths of the way done), along with having a pic that's been done MONTHS ago that I've yet to post for an unknown reason. Outside of those things, cosplay/crossplay idea working has kept me busy.

Hopefully I get some feedback off this (along with fanboys/fangirls off my cosplay/crossplay, but that is probably just too much wishing on my part).

As vaguely stated in one of my older journals, I had worn 5 costumes to Fanime 2009 and I already posted one of them (Gendo). I still have 4 others I can post and I want to hear what you people think/say/want/etc

Sunday: Original Character (Crossplay)

My sister is pregnant with her first child (a girl) and the child should be born some time in mid-late May.

It's still a bit of a surprise to me since that I will soon have a niece, this due to all of the years of being the youngest member of the family and kind of treated that way (Not to mention with me being 21 [Close to 22 when she is born] making things a bit more surprising for me). So things may become a little more hectic for me, but I'll find a way to survive and be a good image for her.

Onto the joy, nearly two and a half months to go until Fanime (Surprised I'm still standing because I thought the wait would drive me insane and stuff. I'm also getting all tempted to draw again, but not sure what. Maybe more female me drawings, maybe chibi/SD drawings, maybe something else random? Who knows....

1. As of Sept. 4th 2008, I'm now working (again). This time in IT working helpdesk at a company over in my hometown. I can tell you all this, it sure beats working at a ******* restaurant. Plus it does feel nice to get paid.

2. Another shocker, I now have a GF. The details I probably won't get into just yet.

3. No I haven't quit drawing, but I need a way to get back into it again after such a long hiatus. I do know that I have some unfinished/unscanned/unposted work that needs to happen, so all I can say is keep an eye out for any posts by me in the future.

4. Be on the lookout for some more journal posts in the future (Could be a few popping up beginning this week) touching on some usual and unusual topics (touching such areas as my GF status, Cons, cosplay, crossplay, maybe some on gaming, other random stuff, etc). So don't be shocked if I begin to talk about something out of the ordinary or something I usually keep hidden for who knows how long.

So once again, this is a welcome back to Deviantart and my friends/watchers from yours truly.

What I have planned is what I would probably consider an interesting take on Gladiators (be it American, UK, Aussie, whichever your region might be if you have one). Yeah, have been on a bit of a nostalgia trip (Youtube clips of Glads) so after a bit of brainstorming (and seeing other topics) I decided to do this idea.

But this isn't your ordinary Gladiators, oh no. What makes this a bit interesting is that these aren't any ordinary Gladiators (meaning that not all the guys will be muscle bound, appearance of roid taking; not all the females won't look scary due to muscle; whatever other reason may arrise). So it's pretty much falls under a realm of almost anything can happen (to avoid any of those nitpickers out there saying that certain characters would be impossible due to body structure).

Ok, now that the confusing legal mumbo jumbo is slightly taken care of in a way......comes the actual basis of the journal. There is a need/search for Gladiators dA Edition (balance of probably 5-6 male and female characters). The ones that are submitted (if in the very rare case that I end up getting alot of entries for this project, the best submissions) will join the two characters that I have already made up (One already done and needs to be submitted; one that will be drawn soon).

Basic Rules/Guidelines
1. Drawn character (this would be preferred, but entries that contain descriptions might be considered and drawn by me if I can get some time to draw them)
2. Stats/Short Bio (Mostly looking for the vitals or name, height, weight, gender, etc.)
3. Gladiator name
4. Character in Gladiator style costume (either era will be fine, if people remember that far back to the 1990s or have only seen the current version. Check the Gladiators Zone website to get some more info)
5. Any notes of interest that could be of any aid

There might be more added if I can think of it. This is a bit of an experiment of sorts (also been stated in older journals that I haven't been too great at making these kind of journals) and would be pretty surprised if there is possitive feedback/submissions to this idea. If there are any questions, drop me a line in this topic or by note. Good luck and happy creating.

2) I AM STAYING AT A HOTEL ROOM THIS YEAR!!!! The parents finally gave me the ok to let me stay in a hotel room. What this means is that I only have to travel once to the con center/hotel instead of having to drive back and forth between the con and my home like last year (VERY important in California with all of the high price gasoline and junk)

3) List of cosplays. I'm bringing back two from last year and debuting a new one.

Friday - Rock Howard (Garou: Mark of the Wolves)
Saturday - Greed (Full Metal Alchemist; FMA Gathering and a little after)/Zoro (One Piece; Masquerade and a little before/after then)
Sunday - Greed (Majority of the day)/Zoro (Shonen Jump Gathering only)
Monday - Wildcard/Unknown

4) Whole bunch of other items that could be given numbers, but for this purpose I have placed them here just so this journal doesn't look long and everything

So like last year, if anyone is going to Fanime, drop me a line so I could keep a lookout for you while walking around the con.

Before I get to the main article, I'm no longer working and am back in school to be a network system administrator (aka IT).

As for Fanime progress, the Rock Howard costume is nearly done (thanks to a girl a friend of mine recommended for making the jacket), which will take up another slot along with Greed. I probably have one slot left and I have no clue what else to do, but I did consider going as Wolfwood from Trigun along with the other character choices, but making the cross will be a PAIN.

Now for the main article, you all remember her ([link]) and there is something that kinda has driven me nuts and that's a name. What I'm asking of all of you is to help me out with finding a name for her. Any feedback would be great and thanks to those that took the time to read this.

First things first, yes I'm still drawing. I've just been on a break of sorts so don't worry about me not doing any drawings. I'm trying the best I can.

Second, since it's looks like I'm screwed multiple ways, I have to find a job. Because this is something I don't like talking about much or at all, I'll just leave it at that.

Third, Fanime......... I'm already in the process of trying to figure out costume ideas. The Greed costume from last year is still in tact so I will still use it the day of the FMA Gathering. Which leaves about anywhere from 1 to 3 spots availible left. As of now, I've had ideas of going as either Domon or Argo from G Gundam (the costumes aren't that tough), but I would like more ideas and help in this area, so if there are people that are willing to care or actually took the times to read the journal, feedback is welcome.

I think I covered all the bases......oh and sorry for the lack of hype for the 25,000 pageview if it passed already without my notice, unless I already covered it at the last journal. Anywho, I guess that is it for me to say at the moment.

Friday: I only got to stay for about 2 hours since I got there after school (left at three, got there at about 4:30). I wore a white shirt and jeans, along with sunglasses, a navy blue Naruto beanie and black fingerless Naruto gloves. Went to the dealers room and blew a significant amount of money on a Sailor Moon Season 2 Uncut boxset (so hard to find).

Saturday: Got to SJ early at about 10 am, this time wearing a black t-shirt. Went back to the dealers room and bought the Saint Seiya volume 12 dvd (newest one) anda Capcom Early Design Artbook (love the art). I went over to play some of the arcade machines for a bit before heading over to the Gaia Discussion Panel, which was cool and pretty funny too. Went back to the dealer's room to spin the Gaia Wheel and won a viking helmet for my avatar along with making a donation. Went to the concert later that night, which was so much fun, all the performers were good, especially Ramen & Rice and ZZ. I got a picture with the female piano player of ZZ while a friend of mine got a photo with the lead singer. I also got both Maria Yakamoto and Kumino Kato to autograph my Fanimecon program.

Sunday: Was some of the same, but wore a big Naruto headband instead of the beanie. My friend and I notice Ramen & Rice playing outside the dealers room, doing some request, my friend requested Smile.dk's Butterfly along with the theme from Escaflone(sp?) while I requested Cid's theme from FF7 and the battle theme from FF8 (Ok I'm a sucker for FF music and it was on the request list) After a big number of people asked me where I got the gloves, my friend came up with an idea to come up with a sign reading, "Want to know where I got my gloves? Find out how for only $2.00" Unfortunately, the sign didn't work so well. I bought three Kinikuman figures for $10, bought a Zoro plushie for about $17, a smaller Naruto headband, a random Saint Seiya figure (it was in a box designed like the box the saints use to carry their cloths) and a hentai doujin (don't ask me how, I think it was how I looked). I spun the Gaia Wheel again and got a White closed jacket. I went with my friend to watch the Naruto cosplayers get together to take pictures (what insanity). I couldn't stay for Der Cosplay for prior reasons.

Monday: On the last day, I wore a blue shirt, without the shades, and using the smaller headband as a choker around my neck. I managed to buy 3 bokken (wooden swords) for $20 and I thought, I wasn't going to get away with it after the dealer was telling the story about 2 other people that tried, but didn't get them. I gave them to two of my friends since I didn't need the two extras. I went to eat lunch at Pizza My Heart with my friends, talking about how Der Cosplay went. When I got back, I went over to get ZZ's autographs on my program, along with my friend who got them to sign both of the ZZ albums she bought on Saturday as well as her program. As I was walking with my friend to the dealers room, I run into

and got to take a picture with her. I went to the closing cerimonies and saw some of the AMVs (I liked the Desperado/Trigun AMV, some good taste there. I also liked the Vamp Hunter D: Bloodlust/ Das Omen AMV). In all, it was the best four days I've ever had.
