so anyways, sorry once again for not being around. My wonderful, loving, caring, gentle kitty, gabby the terrible decided to dump a mug of tea onto my brand-new HP laptop. Needless to say the thing went up and died on me because of her.. so now i'm working on an old mac G4 (which is cool i :heart: macs) but the problem is that all my stuff is gone so i can't edit what i was wanting to post, so i've finally taken time off of work to get some stuff done photo wise... which is aweseome!


Salon is super busy I'm there more than i am at home lol.

I live....

Heyy everyone, i feel like I am forever not updating my journal lol.

I've caught some wicked nasty cold thingy that is making me feel like shitt.... i dno its like a sore throat, stuffy nose, achey, fever its almost like the flu minus the whole digusting other stuff :)

ne ways i got better yesterday felt like a million bucks and then tonight after i got home from work i realized that i feel like i can't talk so now... i am stuck not talking (and talking is my FAVORITE THING EVER!!!!!!!
so yeah.. now i can't talk so i begging u to im me on msn b/c i am lonely and bored lol.

in other news work has been really busy which is why i haven't been around artistically. I'm trying to learn how to have both passions work together... not an easy task!

I've been working 45 hours a week on average, my sister has been up here a lot and im trying to chill out a bit.... i've been taking Vitamin B complex vitamins and they help a ton...


so heres the update on the fotos:

Also, I will be putting a few pictures up for sale on DA...which is a lower price than my Red Bubble page...but i think it will be good..

So lets see a lot has happened since i updated last...

i got acrylic nails...which is interesting they felt weird at first but now i like them and they make me look a smidge bit more professional.

and i went even blonder...i think im done for now..much more blonder and i'll be a full blonde..which is good but not for me.. lol

and as you can see i've posted a good amount of pics...that involve a model which is weird for me because im not used to working with one..

the model is my sister Toriee...shes exteremely pretty and naturally talented in fron of the camera.

Took a clipper class today..

it totally rocked!!!!! so i can do female layered cut with clippers and all that jazz

i get there, it turns out that some older lady took up most of my spot, so i had to go under a tree...whcih is obviously hard to do w/ one of those pop-up tents u see at outdoor art shows.

then the lady running the show comes up to me and is like..why aren't you in ur spot... i had .no. response for her on that one.. b/c i didnt wanna be mean to the old lady. so then it was so windy on saturday, that it almost broke my tent, so we hada take it down. and it was really cold, so people weren't out....day 2 was better, didnt set up the tent, gotta tan, and hada deal w/ other vendors.. I was also right next to another fotographer, which wasn't too cool...just b/c we were totally different style wise (she was more your typical fotographer you'd find at like i dno ne where...not artsy.. just typical for the outdoorsie type.. where as i guess i'm more out there).... so people would look at her stuff first.. cause she hada bigger set up and then compare us..which isn't fair cause we have 2 different styles you know?


so i bring lost on the tracks, meet me, and what happened to an ocean view as my strong sellers for selling prints.... people kept comming up to me going "heyy tracks to no where" or wow i hate snow, why would u have that?

and some people just didnt want to believe i was the fotographer, they thought i was lying, and i gotta lotta "wow you're smarter than you look" which just got annoying


and i feel like the hardest part..which i wasn't expecting was watching these random people from who knows were looking at my artwork, and just walking away, or making a face at it...or saying "nice" and walking away...


i just wasn't expecting it to be so hard.....watching people judge my work.. and when you think about it..your work is an extension of yourself... so they were in essence judging me.....


most people liked the notecards and bookmarks (go team for looking at all the bookmarks lol :heart:)
didn't make postcards though..will do for another show.

but it was fun... it was interesting meeting people loved my work.. and seeing the similarities in our personalities.. and seeing peopel who didn't like it..and to see how different they were from me... and stuff i dno... the whole psych 101 kicked in a lotta the time!



in other news: Toriee (my sister) is doing awesome after the whole time w/ her and the drs and stuff....we've decided on matchign tattoos with (3443) in a yr or so well get them... and umm gabby made friends with a spider today..who was a bit rapist..considering mr.spider tried to get up my pant leg.. needless to say i ran around the house screaming...poor danners

Well..... I didn't make it into the craft fair in Wolfeboro... i didn't fit their image i guess.. i'm not sure all i know is that i applied really early and i got rejected..

Heyy everyone!!!

Just a few updates...

i'm going to be gone for the weekend..so i'm hoping to get some awesome fotos...going to my parents for the easter holiday, despite the lack of easter celebration i do..

umm new fotos are up..i'm happy with the edits of them

i'm now totally in love with David Cook on american idol!! (so vote for him if you vote on idol!)



really really gonna work on the website on monday, i've finally found time!
I've also entered into a juried craft show, waiting to hear back from them but i'd like to thank: ~cloudysoul and ~michaelmknight for their help in picking out my fotos to send in!!!

so now i'm just working on what i have and what needs to be done...

random story: so today, i did a woman's hair whose husband works next door to me. and her husband came in with their 3 mnth old little girl, and i've never seen him like that before. It's amazing the transformation a child can make in someone's life..whether its for the good or bad. she already had such a personality on her, you could tell it was from the way her dad really loves her.

it gives me hope, that there is a happily ever after.
There has to be if they've found their right?!


however i am going to CB Sullivan's monday and buying some stuff for people

Birthday Count Down: 02 Days!


Some random thoughts/questions for everyone:

If you were to buy note cards
a.) would you like the printed on the card, or is mounted on to them ok..
b.) would you like to buy one or several bundled together
and
c.) does fancy wrapping make a difference?

I'm going to start selling my note cards again..and I'm trying to figure out the best ways of selling them...and how to sell them via my website..

maybe something with pay-pal would always be good?!?!

Also another question:
Is a website with flash more impressive than a website without flash?


Other randomness/news:
I've found some awesome spots for a few foto shoots in the summer time.

Also, going to find a way to take a perfect picture of Shawna's diamond without an awful flashy glare thing...without buying more equipment...

Her mom was nice...she bought me food :) and then I got a White Mocha oh man if you're ever in Wolfeboro.. you must go and get one..they ROCK!!!!

also, nice lady at a camera store helped me today figure out my macro lens a little bit better... i got confused because it said their was a "switch" to switch on to use the macro "setting" but their is no "switch" so she helped me...and i understand now things that i've been doing..and new things to add to it...
she was so awesome


and i tried on diamonds..not like i'm getting married until October..

but heyy
i like diamonds :)

Well.. gabby is .. this is her "kneading" mode.. ahaha its too funny
so did an amazing color today like it was beyond fabulous did a red violet slightly on the dark side (level 5) and light blonde highlights throughout but very chunky..and designed my own placement for it !!!

IT ROCKED MY SOCKS!

and my birthday countdown is still accurate!! yay!

ummm what else...nothing really knitting a baby blanket.. and going to wolfeboro (sp?) on monday with shawna should be so fun!!!!

I'm not sure I agree with all of the choices..but some I'm wicked happy with... ANyone have any imput? Or am I the only loser that watches it?

On other news...Got a subscription.. I bugged dan enough where he was just like "Get one already"!!!

And i didn't have to go to work today b/c we got like 8 inches of snow, freezing rain, and more rain

Umm..still trying to figure out this new camera..
on other wicked good news
i did 2 color corrections this week! on one woman i cut off over 12 inches of her hair!!! (and yes it did go for locks of love)..

i'm so glad that that emotional burden is gone for her (Long traumatic story about her hair)

Anyways... hope everyone is doing splendid I did nothing today 'cept upload some fotos.. on and re-arrange the house yesterday with danners.. but you know.. now need to clean the bathroom and bedroom :(

It's a Nikon D80, I'm so excited!!!!! Great starter camera for weddings, and selling my fotos!!!! Can't wait to try it out *does happy dance*

On other notes, we did a mini-foto shoot after the snow on sunday, some decent shots have been uploaded, and we've also edited the website (www.barefotos.bravehost.com) go check it out, and lemme know what you think!
