I loved, loved, loved it! The animation was smooth, the character movements were flawless and the colors were fabulous. The characters were beautiful, the story was sweet with an inspiring message and the music was great! My favorite part was definitely when Tiana was dreaming and the animation switched to cell animation with the warm colors and happy atmosphere. Stunning! Ron Clements, John Musker and Randy Newmanare, incredible as always.

Um, so, Twilight New Moon. I saw it 3 weeks late and yes, it was better than Twilight due to acting, writing and over all movie skills. But seriously, lets talk cinemontography: Amelie. Nuff said. As for those special effects, yeah they were cool but lets talk Tron: [link]

I saw Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs last friday on opening night. It was SPECTACULAR! Everything I knew it would be because Sony is filled with so much talent. The whole movie was beautiful! It kept a reality and yet was a cartoon. The screen play was witty and hilarious. I don't think I ever stopped laughing! The scoring was exciting. The characters were brilliant. Everything was just spectacular!
Everyone who worked on it did a fantastic job! Congrats!

I was lucky enough to receive and internship with Sony Animation and it is the most exciting and inspiring experience. I am working with the most amazing people, LOOK, I AM ON SKETCHCLUB! [link] I can hardly contain my excitement!!!
I have been incredibly busy so I finally saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Saturday. They had the clothes of Dumbledore, Luna and Harry on display in the lobby of the theatre!!!


Story: I liked how the plot line of the story was focused on the romance and relationships of the characters. All of the other movies have been so focused on the Harry/ Voldemort aspect that they leave out significant plot lines of relationships and friendships. They even got the little Pansy flirting with Draco bit that they always seem to leave out. This movie caught everything up and tied it all together nicely.

One thing I didn't like was the burning of the burrow. I understand why they had that fight scene and I ended up liking it... but burning the burrow? That was unneeded and annoying. What are the going to do about the wedding of Bill and Fluer? And where were Bill and Fluer?

I also thought the screenplay was actually good. Usually it pains me to watch the characters say their horribly cheesy lines, example: Hermione in OOTP walking to the window, "we are going to need a teacher." I usually cringe and feel embarrassed for the actors but this time, I was laughing with the characters and not at them.


Film: I thought the cinematography was stunning. It reminded me of Amelie with its swooping motions and fluid movements.

They really used colors to the best advantage in this movie. OOTP was dark, blue, grey and dull; every scene was the same and after a while everything seemed monochromatic. In this movie, each outfit and scenery described the mood of the characters. While some colors were vivid, others were washed out. It was a lovely contrast.

Each shot seemed to have significance in this movie. The one I really remember was at the end with Ron sitting down and Harry and Hermione talking together. It totally set up the character relations through the next book. Nicely done.


Characters: Through the movie I kept in mind the separation of the book characters and the fact that the movie is done with actors portraying the characters.

Narcissa: I was absolutely upset when they announced who was playing Narcissa. She looked nothing like the books description and she was a brunette. Then the pictures came out with the multicolored hair and I was even more angry however this changed when I saw Narcissa on screen. She didn't bother me at all. In fact, I think she did a great job, I really liked her performance.

Dumbledore: So much better. Michael Gambon wasn't so quick and perky as he usually is. Not to mention that they finally made his hair white instead of brownish white. I was actually happy with his performance, very well played.

Snape: A.m.a.z.i.n.g.

Tonks/Lupin: All I need to say is: Who cast these people?

Draco: Draco is one of my absolute favorite characters. He is evil yet confused. He is strong and yet so weak. Draco is amazing. I was so excited to see that Tom actually looked the part. Instead of being short (cough, cough, Harry) or just not playing the part right (cough, cough, Hermione) Tom nailed it. He is my new favorite student actor of the bunch. I was so whole heartedly happy with his performance.

Ginny: I wasn't thrilled by Bonnie but I wasn't too upset. Yes, she could have been stronger but I don't think they wrote her character as strong as the book portrays her. I think that she and Harry got their kiss robbed from them though.

Hermione: Emma usually annoys me but she did a great job. Not to mention her hair finally looked right and her costuming was 10x better than ever before. Cuddos.

Ron: Funny, good... he didn't change. He was still really good. Very funny in the love potion scene.

Harry: Daniel, daniel, daniel. I have never liked him as Harry and I don't think I ever will BUT, he did a good job. He was really good in the Slughorn memory scene. He was way better than he normally is and he wasn't bleeding every 2 seconds.

Fantabulous books I suggest:

1. Paisley Hanover Acts Out [link] -- This book is great and had me interested from beginning to end! I suggest this to anyone who is struggling in high school because it has such a positive message. Its upbeat, fun and sassy. I basically, plain and simple: adored this book!

2. Carter Finally Gets It -- Funny, sad, confusing (only because the main character gets confused... other than that its NOT confusing in a bad way) and a quick read. I read it in one day at school.

3. Parties and Potions -- Who doesn't love the Magic in Manhattan series?


School Books (I have read way more than this... but these are the ones I am commenting on):

1. The Awakening -- Interesting, deep read. One of my all time favorite books.

2. The Great Gatsby-- Daisy and Gatsby were so shallow... I just couldn't get past it.

3.Seneca; Tragedy -- Yeah, its a classic. A ROMAN classic. So far I am stuck on Hercules.

I want to say also. I have gotten 2 series of mean comments lately in the last month and a half. I want to say that mean comments are truly pathetic. I am doing something creative and if you do not like it, then you have the right to walk away... but telling me how much you "hate Edward Cullen" is really not my problem. I happen to like what I like and I am not going to change or be affected by your nasty comments. I must also add that when I look at a rude comment, I just think about how this person obviously has no life and takes joy in being rude. They doesn't even deserve pitty because frankly its so sad that they have to be rude to someone making better art than themselves they just are pathetic small minded people. I would give Twilight a 3.5 out of 5 stars because I loved the story, but the actors I felt portrayed the characters badly.
First off, let me set the stage, I had ~ponychick777 on one side of me and she punched me every time she got excited and then my friends little sister on the other side of me, and she repeats every line she likes, so throughout the whole movie I was getting punched and listening to the best commentary ever: "Hahaha, thats funny: He's the one who looks like hes in pain!"

Edward seemed too stiff and serious, when he joked, it fell flat and I definitely thought he was a funny guy. And same problems with Bella, when she "flirted" with Jacob on the beach, it was the worst flirting i've seen my whole life, I was almost embarrassed! As for the other characters they were fine, I did think Jaspers face was hilarious.

The best part by far was when they were in the Ballet Studio and Edward was sucking the venom out of Bella's arm, I was laughing SO hard at his face I felt bad because people were like "awwwwe" But it was so funny, I actually almost screamed "NOM NOM NOM!!!" but I refrained.

The best part of the whole movie was the Trailer for Harry Potter, I must admit, I screamed really loudly and clapped thinking others would join in, but no one did...

Anyway... I know that it was the directors version of the film and I think she did a great job, I thought the camera angles were awesome and the special effects were very cool, I really liked when Edward sparkled.

SO exciting! But why is the burrow burning?
I am very excited... but it looks like they are going to butcher the book a bit like they did with the 4th... anyway, it should be interesting and did I mention I am totally excited!?!

I also, (yes, you can all beat me up now) I saw High School Musical 3 this weekend... the dance scenes were AMAZING! But the rest, of course, was cheesy to the point that I almost felt embarrassed for the actors.

Last weekend I went to the art store and got 48 copic markers... I am in love... its official!

I just wanted to say that... I am OFFICIALLY 16 as of yesterday... and... I PASSED MY DRIVERS TEST!!! And I didn't get nervous (at the time of the test, I was PLENTY nervous before hand) this is big for me... I am a nervous nelly. Well, technically I am a nervous Lily, but lets skip the deats because the important thing is that I PASSED!!!

So, all-in-all, i feel like notifying the world because I am so happy!!!

More drawings to come in the near future... when I finish my U.S. History homework... which will be like, never.
That makes NO sense... let me rephrase: I am drawing, slowly, but I am drawing... I just have a beast-load of U.S. History homework. (The book is a MONSTER-- each chapter is around the size of a small book, and its DENSE... *sob)

So the problem is that when I use my brush and make a line of say purple I go back over the line I just made to shade and then the color is pink. But then when I make a fresh line and I haven't change the brush or anything it is purple again. And the 2nd color changes depending on the color of the brush originally!!! Does that make sense?

I am so confused! Did I break something?

I have been painting though like mad. I have just finished my art project for class and it turned out AMAZING... but I am sworn off drawing centaurs for, like, EVER as of now. 8 panels of a centaur in different gallop positions each one takes place at a different time of day so they go from light to dark. It took forever because, after drawing it I had to paint it in watercolor which is so difficult! Water color is so wet (ironic isn't it) and really hard to work with, I applaud those who have mastered it.

I am so happy though about my Juno Snape drawing... people seem to like it! That is uber cool!
