I have never experienced it before. I was lucky in that way, but this time. Holy cow, F-list SPAM!!! I just couldn't get away from it. I don't really dislike AkuRoku but I don't really like it either. It's just...there.

But I've been kind of ignoring Kingdom Hearts fandom since I got into Dissidia and my old love of Final Fantasy. Speaking of which:

I FINISHED FINAL FANTASY V! HOORAY!

Oh and Final Fantasy 1 but that one's is kind of short. Especially since it's the old school NES version. Now I'm on FF IV to see the badassness of Golbez and hopefully prove to me that Cecil can't possibly be that whiney like he is in Dissidia.

Also Trying to work on Dissidia sketches. Why must the coolest characters be so hard to draw?

I can't take the game seriously at all now. Everytime GacktGenesis showed up I started chanting, "GAAAAACKT!"

I'm pretty sure I've disturbed everyone in the house with that.

As far as plots got, well...there is none really or else I missed it. I knew I shouldn't have blinked during the game.

Zack? Oh, Zack! He's just so...Zack! I liked him before from that little cut scene in ShinRa Mansion on Disc 2, but did they really have to make him responsible for EVERY LITTLE THING IN THE GAME?!

I mean, TIFA'S BAR? AERITH'S DRESS AND RIBBON? EVEN MEETING AERITH THE SAME WAY THAT CLOUD DID?! You know, that's kind of pushing it. Why did they not keep Zack's womanising from FF7? It made me think of Zidane. Midgar is also WAY too shiny. Seriously. What happened to living under the rotting pizza? Do they expect me to believe that Midgar became that debauched in just a few years? Everyone has cell phonesPHS even. I kind of pictured these old school cell phones, you know the big bulky kind, every time PHS was mentioned.

I also think that the writers are taking the song One Winged Angel way too seriously. They should be flying in circles or into walls, dagnabit!

On the positive note: It's not half as bad as Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus.

I've been considering possible portraits to do. Well, after I finish my new Danny Elfman WIP (which is like, five portraits in one..X.x). So it might be awhile till I draw Danny again. (don't quote me on that though. Danny can never seem to stay out of my notebook for long. XD)

and it made me giggle.

The Mystic Knights travelled around California, performing on the street in exchange for kisses and crusts of bread. One day they were performing outside of a secret laboratory when an explosion in the lab resulted in Danny becoming able to breathe fire. This new trick earned them much praise from passers by, some of whom started to give the group money. With the money he got from fans, and the money from his secret life as a bank robber, Richard Elfman was able to start filming a documentary about the exploits of the Mystic Knights. He called this film "The Forbidden Zone" and he got his brother Danny to compose the score. It was apparent to everyone who saw the film that Danny Elfman was the greatest composer who had ever lived, unfortunately only about 20 people saw the film and they were all crazy so nobody listened to them. But that didn't matter because, at the time, Danny Elfman didn't want to compose film scores, he wanted to RAWK!!! Ahem... he wanted to rock.

Danny killed off a good 2 thirds of the Mystic Knights, leaving him with a sleek and stripped down band of only 7 rockers. He called this new band Oingo Boingo and they took California by storm. They held two shows a week and threw annual Halloween parties which inspired a cult like following among the kool-aid sipping youth. Danny pushed the boundaries of rock by writing thought provoking songs about Robert Hilburn and the joys of Capitalism. One of Oingo Boingo's most famous songs, 'Little Girls' contained the truly inspirational lyrics: "I-I-I love little girls they make me feel so good/I love little girls they make me feel so bad". More and more fans and critics (except Robert Hilburn, that prick) rushed to join the cult of Boingo. But Elfman was becoming disenchanted with the fast-paced life of a rock and/or roll star. An interview he gave at the time gives a startling insight into his tormented mind:

Interviewer: Mr. Elfman, this has been an excellent year for Oingo Boingo, wouldn't you agree?

Elfman: There are few who deny, at what I do I am the best, for my talents are renowned far and wide when it comes to surprises in the moonlit night I excel without ever even trying. With the slightest little effort of my ghostlike charms I can make grown men give out a shriek. With a wave of my hand and a well-placed moan I have swept the very bravest off their feet.

Interviewer: Uh, yeah... You seem to be pretty pleased with your success then?

Elfman: Yet year after year, it's the same routine, and I grow so weary of the sound of screams.

Interviewer: So are you thinking of maybe trying something else?

Elfman: Oh, there's an empty place in my bones that calls out for something unknown. The fame and praise come year after year, does nothing for these empty tears.

Interviewer: Right...

Among Oingo Boingo's growing legion of fans was a young mortician/aspiring director named Tim Burton. Tim had recently teamed up with an escaped mental patient/film star called Pee-Wee Herman. They were going to make a film together and needed someone to compose the score. Pee-Wee happened to be one of the 20 people who had seen "The Forbidden Zone" and recommended Elfman. Tim Burton was enough of a Boingo fan, and desperate enough, to listen to Pee-Wee's demented ravings and offered the job to Elfman. Danny accepted. The film, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, actually managed to make a few bucks and was the start of the Burton/Elfman partnership which was definitely the most fantabulously wonderfully whimsical and gothique thing ever to happen to film.

Pee-Wee, inspired by Elfman, went on to write a hit single entitled "I Love Little Boys" that delved into the themes of pedophilia and homeosexuality.

Hey hey, the boards at IMDB let me look at them for once (or maybe I could before and they just had a vendetta against me, which wouldn't be suprising at all.). So I'm surfing through the pages of the darling little Elfman for amusement when I came across this:

Recently I have managed to unearth my love for all things Disney and SquareEnix. In other words: Kingdom Hearts. But when I go to find some loverly fanfiction scribbles, I can hardly seem to find any. Especially any with my favorite charas.

Actually it's really hard to find Kingdom Hearts fanfiction that has anything to do with Kingdom Hearts.

It's a bit of an anti-statement, isn't it?

I re-watched Johnny English for sheer something to do and discovered an imediatte affection for Johnny/Bosch. Unfortunately, it seems I'm the only one.

Why do all my little fandom flirts end up either not existing or is contained in a handful of people?

"See, for me, I think I could deal with pretty much everything you mentioned (except possibly Danny Elfman; Elfman's scores are actually pretty good so long as he ISN'T doing a Tim Burton movie, which I thought was pretty funny. Once, I watched a movie where I loved the score but missed the credit, so I logged onto IMDB was was like, "DANNY ELFMAN??? How the hell is THAT possible? I hate Danny Elfman!" Turns out that Tim Burton asks for score styles I hate; without his influence, Elfman rocks!)...the problem is Tim Burton's filmmaking style just in terms of pacing, editing, shot choice...the mechanics of filmmaking. Well, that, and the fact that he always seems to take stories--and jokes in particular--in EXACTLY the wrong direction for my tastes. Seriosuly, it's like he has a list of my personal preferences in his head, and does EXACTLY whatever will piss me off the most.

Neeways, I was listening to the part when Victor runs back to Victoria after the spell sequence, and 28 secs into the song 'Victor's Deception'; I know I heard 'The Nightmare before Christmas THEME'!

I even started to hum it without so much as a thought. "Halloween, Halloween" GAH! CREEPY!

I swear our Comp.I teacher has us write an essay every single day! I'm sure I'm over exagerating, just a bit. But it seems like it!
