the L word decided that myself and someone i have known for a LONG LONG time should go "shazaam!" and that is exactly what happened .......seriously, the L word always seems to find you when you aren't looking for it
so that is why i have been absent from here for sooooooooooo long
i went to new zealand last weekend....to christchurch and the surrounding mountains and i have to say it was just so mindblowingly beautiful ...thanks to my babe for making that happen
on the creative front, i have been very inactive...what with work and the L word....but i did pick up my old camera the other day and played with it and my tripod...i am still trying to make friends with my new camera...i think it may take a while
we now have 9 cats in the asylum, 2 very very cute, cuddly and sweetfilled kittens have joined this crazy family there will be some pics of these little kitties soon

what i hate most about today, is the fact that i was gripped with the same amount of fear as i used to experience.... i guess i thought i would be so much stronger if it came again, although i was beginning to think i would never have anymore panic attacks.
i realise that panic attacks are a part of anxiety and depression, an illness i will have for life, but i do get treatment for.
i would like to state, that i was so very lucky today, to have someone with me who knows what this is like and for that i am so thankful, else i could still be in a state of complete and utter fear.

below is some information about panic attacks, i thought i would include it so that people can read and understand what is experienced and to realise that if ever you do experience any of this, you are not alone and there is help out there

Symptoms of a panic attack can include:

* Heightened vigilance for danger and physical symptoms
* Anxious and irrational thinking
* A strong feeling of dread, danger or foreboding
* Fear of going mad, losing control or dying
* Feeling lightheaded and dizzy
* Tingling and chills, particularly in the arms and hands
* Trembling or shaking, sweating
* Hot flushes
* Accelerated heart rate
* A feeling of constriction in the chest
* Breathing difficulties, including shortness of breath
* Nausea or abdominal distress
* Tense muscles
* Dry mouth
* Feelings of unreality and detachment from the environment.

The ‘flight-or-fight’ response
When the body is faced with immediate danger, the brain orders the autonomic nervous system to activate the ‘flight-or-fight’ response. The body is flooded with a range of chemicals, including adrenaline, that trigger physiological changes. For example, heart rate and breathing are accelerated and blood is shifted to the muscles to prepare for physical combat or running away.

A panic attack is said to occur when the ‘flight-or-fight’ response is triggered but there is no imminent danger. A person may experience the symptoms of a panic attack in harmless and apparently stress-free situations, such as watching television or while asleep

fucking telstra suspended my mobile service WITHOUT even notifying me!!!!

i wasn't even aware of this until a friend rang my home to tell me that my mobile was saying it was disconnected!!!!

my mobile is where i get a lot of my artists modeling work from! and i hate to think of work i may have missed out on because telstra are such fucking idiots!!!

i mean if i had got a notice forewarning me of this i wouldn't be ranting, but i got ZIP from them!!

and to make matters worse, it is going to take another 12 - 24 HOURS before my service is reactivated!!!! so i am now completely broke (of course i had to pay the amount owing before they would do ANYTHING!) and could be missing out on work because telstra are such fucking MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


sorry, but i am just so damn angry with this !

i did manage to take some self pics while away (i did notice that it is harder to find ideas when out of the old comfort zone of home)

i had a shoot with literally hours before going on my road trip
he found one of the BEST locations i have ever come across in sydney and i loved it...after all i got to climb around an old abandoned building and get grubby

so any models looking to shoot with a sydney photography note brett, he's a great guy and fun to shoot with

i took myself and my kids to the blue mountains to experience the crisp, chilled mountain air, fog, great food, cafes, lolly store , 'disc world' style restaurant, and norman lindsay's house/gallery

for those models who are interested in doing some fine art, be aware there are some sleazy and sneaky photographers out there, so ALWAYS be sure to ask for references!!!! especially if you don't know the photographer.

scott is the first photographer i ever shot nude with (nearly 3 years ago...i think ) and i have to say that he not only made me feel so very comfortable, but we have been friends ever since and i will continue to shoot with scooter thankyou mr for helping me get into fine art photography and modeling

in the last two days we have had:
a stray cat who seems quite happy living in the garage he is a little brutish...but loves to be patted i hope he has a home cause he can't stay here ...he bullies all our cats! (he isn't microchipped ....hope he does have a home)..if not i will have to search for somewhere he can go and not have to worry about being put down.
and tonight, on my way home from work, i see a bird in the middle of the road, pick it up and bring it home (it seems to have a broken wing and can't fly)
i think dr doolittle is channeling me!

i have got work at national art school [link] !!!!!!!! this may not mean much to most...but i love what i do and getting work there is an achievement
this place is hard to get work at as a life model, because most teachers have their models they use and are reluctant to use new ones.
yippppeeeeee!!! yay for the little things that come along to say hey...life is pretty damn cool
