Has anyone ever tried doing a dual-livestream where two people are both streaming and watching each other? I suppose it could be done via iChat as well.

Let me know if you're interested, I'd love to give this a whirl.

All this activity lately has made me realize how much I missed the good old days of having an active forum where you could bounce pictures off of each other, inspiring, challenging, and motivating each other to keep going.

Sure, DA is a community, but it feels it's a community of people standing on street corners handing out their business cards. Occasionally you might talk to someone, but there's no THERE there. It's all essentially private conversations posted publicly.

An active forum where everyone comes to the same place with public conversations shared by everyone is a very different experience. It feels more like a shared art class where conversations can be overheard, people can gather around pictures or themes, and everyone's there to improve.

To continue the class analogy, DA is like one of those huge lecture hall classes where you might see your friends, and occasionally meet someone new, but it's really not set up for more than passing conversations in the halls as you go in and out of class.

Anyway...anyone know where I can find a good little community to go hang out in? Surely there must be some community out there somewhere of folks who are into good girl art...

UPDATE: We're good for the concept artist. Any 3D modelers out there?

I'm working on project that is in need of an infusion of talent. If you are, or you know someone who is a good 3D modeler (modo preferred), or 3D animator (SoftImage XSI), I would love to talk to you. It'd just a short term contract work (needs to be completed by February 2009), and we do have a budget, though a modest one. Stylewise, the project falls closer to realistic naturalistic setting, with a slight dose of cartoonness to add character.

Please contact me asap if you're interested! Thanks for looking.

Email: bentan@bellefree.com

Well, the second book is now officially available: Dean Yeagle kindly included one of my pictures of Mandy in his new Mandy's Portrait Gallery book, available directly from Dean (via email dabeagle@aol.com) or Alberto Ruiz's Brandstudio site (the link). This picture was actually from the very first Mandy workshop at the old Bellefree forum, I think right when the character was being spawned in Dean's brilliant mind.

And the old news: I have a couple of pieces in the Erotic Fantasy Art book by Duddlebug and Aly Fell.
Sorry for the repeated posting on the Flags Unfurled picts, but the colors were really frustrating me. If they look good on a Windows machine, they looked too dull on a Mac. If they look good on a Mac, they look washed on in Windows. Surely someone has conquered this problem. Anyone have any suggestions on handling this with Photoshop? In the past I used to turn off color management. Not sure what to do with CS2.
