Even if I just barely pass. I gotta have a 2.0 gpa minimum. Sam won't have a roommate next semester if they kick me out. And everyone will be disappointed. MUST FIGHT FOR HONOR OF FAMILY. Well, I don't know about that. Fighting, and whatnot, because I don't really fight. Got to get it in gear. Probably would have been better if I elected withdraw option from computer science..I'd have a better chance at a higher gpa. But as long as I don't fail any classes..well, if I get a really high grade in Calculus this time around - that completely replaces the F i got last semester.

Skyrocketing my GPA. Especially if I get an A or B.
So I just have to get a D in CompSci at least, and a C or something in the lab..
And the other classes I have to get C's in.

Also as a sidenote it's crazy how abstract and weird your thoughts get on teh reefer. I started with one object and my brain would just shoot to another and relate it, then make a scene of it. Usually it was only between 2 or three items though. Preeeetty crazy.

I also love how everything sounds. I mean, just laying there in my bed...in the dark. Everything was just so peaceful. It was pretty great.

6:20 outside, waiting for bus
6:40 on the first bus (turns out it's not a straight shot and we gotta transfer)
7:00 waiting for second bus
7:15 bus comes, it's not ours.
7:25 another bus comes, not ours again. mind you, it's freezing outside
7:40 our bus finally comes.
8:30 we arrive (i think that's when it was anyways)
8:40-9:20ish Eat dinner (that was fun =] )
9:30 wait for our bus back, this one's a straight shot
10:00 still waiting for our bus. it's gotten even colder (i think)
10:15 we get on the bus
10:50 back on campus, though we still have to walk a long ways

We were just going to go back to our rooms, but it turns out that the cafe in the library was still open. So we got some coffee, and took it back to the residence hall and sat by the fire in the lobby for awhile. We went upstairs after that, I came along to protect her from crazy drunk people . But yea, we hugged, and I kissed her and said good night.

So yea, it was a pretty good night. Other than having to wait for the buses and stuff. Haha xP . Ah, but I love spending any time I can get with her. I'd give up just about anything just to spend a little while with her =]

So I figure I'll feature some people. I'll probably pick some random people that don't get enough attention who do some good art, but if you want to be featured just give me a shout.

You know...I could do something like a few different people every coupla weeks or something. Eh, I dunno.

1.
a. [link] piece is one of my favorites. The black and white background makes the trashcan stand out, and the word "trash" almost seem to be glowing. A very awesome picture, with a good point. Keep the earth clean (although all the trash is cleaned up in the immediate area, it just goes to a huge dump or somewhere else in the environment...oh well! O__o;;; )


b.[link] . Love and peace, eh? A wonderful picture, hand drawn and colored. This kind of art is underrated, but then again, not many people can pull off the coloring just right. It is done quite well in here! (although stamps are now 41c =[

c.[link] . A picture taken in the soft glow of street lamps on a drizzly night in a small town. This picture is beautifully done and not even tampered with whatsoever. It's very peaceful. I can just imagine sitting on her front porch, listening to the rain patter on the roof above.

a.[link] . I think everyone's got a childhood haven, a place that they either went to often, or just once a year. This is a wonderful story about her haven, and I loved reading it. A cabin up in the mountains..those are always fun. My vacations were different, as I already live in the mountains - we went to the ocean - but I can relate to this.

b.[link] . Ah, the power of one touch, one look, one smile. The smallest things can have so much power. This poem has the power to bring back old memories, whether they be good or bad. I think of the hugs my gf gives me =]

c.[link] . I always love sunsets..they're so beautiful. In this picture, the sun seems to light aflame the clouds surrounding it. I can just imagine the waves gently lapping against the shore, and me sitting on a big rock or next to a palm tree watching this sun set.

3. - just as a sidenote, this guy has an awesome online comic called "Dorm Dorks." Definitely check it out.

b.[link] . Sports, defined from a gamer's point of view. This is my favorite comic that Mike has up on his deviant page so far. Really funny stuff xD

c.[link] . Captain America is one of my favorite superheroes, besides the green lantern, and this animation puts up a good point. That shield is insanely awesome..it's gotta be pretty darn heavy.

Also, relating to the title of this journal, the reason it's going to be a slow winter is that I left my sketchbook in my college residence hall. Now don't worry, around Christmas I should be getting a Wacom Tablet! I sure hope I get one, it's going to be so much fun! Now you guys that were taking part in the Art Trade contest thing, I'm still going to finish your pictures, but again - it's going to take a little while.

I miss you guys! Man oh man..it sure is going to take awhile for those deviations though. I'm up to almost 200 now, and there are 35 or so journals I've got to read!

In other news, I remembered that my Paint.net program has a "layers" option. So that'll make coloring, shading, editing...lots of stuff easier. ^_^
I also talked to one of my friends back home. Apparently Halo 3 is awesome. I'm pretty sure the guys down the hall have it, so that will be taking up quite a bit of my time from now on, if they let me on there xD

Well, I never know how I'm doing on my artwork, because I rarely get comments. But I think it's pretty good, so hey, there ya go!

Looks like I'm up for another boring weekend. Not a lot of homework to do..actually I'm not sure I have any at all. I'll probably play Guitar Hero and Final Fantasy 7. Tonight I'm going to see Knocked Up on the Great Lawn of our campus. That should be fun!

As far as love life...well obviously for me there is none. That's usually a given.
There is this girl I've been seeing everywhere though. I met her at orientation, she was on one of my tours at the Caverns, then I saw her in the cafeteria one of my first days there. She's also in one of my classes, AND it turns out she's actually in the same dorm BUILDING as me. Just two floors down.

Sometimes I'll be compelled to look in some random direction, and lo n behold, there she is. It's weird. But whatever. If you're reading this, congratulations! I can't believe you'd actually read through one of my journals!

Oh yea, I've got homework. But not as much as everyone else! xD

Man, you know what I hate?

Today, there was this congregation service thingybobber on the "Great Lawn" of my university. So there's a bunch of people with flyers, asking everyone they see to go. Only thing is, I got asked by like 6 DIFFERENT PEOPLE! Gar, it made me so mad.

One guy came up to my table while we were eating and gave us a flyer, and then another person came up to me as I was LEAVING the dining area. I walked back around another building and ran into another person, and by the last person...I think I scared them.

I just held my hands up, I was like "No..nonono...I am not going. go away"

Oh, just so you guys no. I do not get my daily helping of jesus. Or god. So go away if yer ever gonna bug me about that.

What? You just can't LIVE WITHOUT jesus? Jesus CHANGED YOUR LIFE?! I don't care.

So right now I'm working on a project in Paint.net (similar to photoshop, but free)
The only problems I'm having is finding the right colors

I think I'm also going to make some comics. Perhaps attempt some anime style drawings, eh? If anything I'm going for chibi characters. I dunno, I need some more time though. But it sounds good, eh?

EDIT 1 : Check my gallery, and look under the category "scraps" and you can see what I have so far.

Otherwise...hm...I've been playing Shadows of the Colossus. That's a fun game. Once you figure out the controls of the game, each boss only takes about 20-40 minutes to beat, instead of an hour. Lol...it gets tougher to find them though.

I've also moved up to playing on Expert on the Guitar Hero games. Booyah! I still can't beat Jordan though...

It's also much bigger. I claim this to be, because I need a bigger wand, seeing as compared to most people I am much bigger/taller than them.

But anyways, in the dream I'm in training, and trying to cast a spell. I first practice my wand swishing and movement 4 or 5 times, and then I cast the spell. I spin my wrist, point, and shout "INCENDIO!"

The end of my wand glows red, but nothing happens. I proceed to do it several more times, each time getting only slightly farther. I did manage to create a fireball the size of a golf-ball, but that just flew 2 feet and fell to the ground.

Then one of my friends comes over and says, "HAHAAA!! You can't even cast a simple INCENDIO SPELL?!"

I'm thinking that after that I produced a fireball about the size of his head, but I can't remember, the dream started to fade to a different scene.

Could it mean anything? Maybe I need a new wand. Or maybe it's just some random dream...hmm...

I was thinking about writing about what happens where I work, when the lights go out at night. (I work in a Caverns). I figure the main character could get stuck down there. Some of the rock formations come alive.

But you see, this story has too many elements of movies already made. Such as "Night at the Museum" and "Arthur and the Invisibles." and whatnot. So I must find a way to make it my own...without being too near stuff people have already written..

Ah..what fun..

The heads I can do fine, it's just the bodily parts that I need to work on. Namely, hands and feet.

I think I want to write another story...but I can't quite think of anything just yet. Ah well, I'm sure it'll come to me. Perhaps I might even be able to draw some of the characters. I think I'll start writing a story about my Mushroom People.

Correction, everyone thinks I'm crazy. Heck, I even think I'm a bit crazy. Someone once said "Crazy people don't know they're crazy." I only know I'm crazy because other people tell me I am. Otherwise I just feel normal.

Except when I'm in an expressive, artistic mood. Also known as severe stress and depression.
But hey, whatever drives ya, right?
Need some more detail in the pictures though. Oh well, I'll work on that.
