As some of you know, I started working at an electrical engineering firm in New York a few months ago, and lately they've had me going on site. So today, I got up, drove to the train station, took the train to new york, to the subway to my office, took a cab to the harbor, took a ferry across the river to Jersey, walked 6 blocks to the site, took the ferry back, and took a bus back to the train station. About the only thing I didn't do was fly... or kyack.

Anyone else have a fun day?

For those that don't know, I finished school a bit under 3 months ago. I've been looking around for work... kind of taking my time, savoring having time off (I was an engineering major...ugh), but hadn't had much luck so far, which is where our story begins.

Been feeling a little down lately, my greyhound Stoney passed away a few days ago, I've got an exam and a lab on my birthday tomorrow (so I can't skip class), and I've just gotten over a bit of a cold. Needless to say, I've been a little too preoccupied to be able to put in any real work on new models.

Stoney did make it to a good age of 9, which is a long time for the average greyhound, considering they're usually killed when they're done racing at ~4; so at least we managed to give him an extra few years...

I've been getting a lot of emails and notes about not being able to download the pieces and/or instructions for my models. Adobe seems to have problems with opening large PDF's in the browser, so from now on, instead of left-clicking the download button to open the file directly, right click and select "save link as" (or "save target as", depending on your browser) to download it to your computer. This should solve most, if not all, cases of this problem.

I'll go around and put a watermark on the images or a note in the comment or something eventually, but for now, hopefully this will suffice.

As of a few days ago, modeling and texturing were done, it's just a matter of actually finishing the test build and making any corrections it may need. Due to the interferences of daily life, I haven't been able to get anywhere near as far as I would have liked to by this point, but I've at least gotten some of it done. I've completed my Cortana model! This is another one that's been sitting on my harddrive for months while I was away at school.
